b.lueeyes and Levirivaille

Control is something coveted in their society, in a land ruled over by the fear they feel for the titans. That self-confidence, that strength; that dignity. Eren Jäger thought he had that control, that drive; but self control isn't easy when you're trying to control a monster. The harder they fight, the further they fall... And no one knows it better than the Corporal.

My character:

Name: Levi

Rank: Scouting Legion (heichou)

Appearance: levi has short straight black hair which is shaved on the underside, rather intimidating demeanor. He has sharp blue eyes that make him seem uninterested in much, he is quite short.

Personality: levi is a clean freak and has respect for authority and discipline. He is well known for his titan killing abilities and has a cold behaviour towards most people and titans, he is experienced and gives orders to suit- and has high respect towards his legion, and rank.

Name: Eren Jäger

Rank: Scouting Legion (Squad Member)

Appearance: Eren stands as one of middle height for his age, with dark brown hair that brushes the name of his neck, and very expressive, green-turquoise eyes that seem to shift colour depending on the light. His skin is tan, and unlike the other members of the Scouting Legion, he has no scars from his healing abilities.

Personality: Eren is passionate and daring, headstrong and spirited, with a tendency to disobey orders that gets him in trouble. Impulsive, he often acts before he thinks, however he has a kind-hearted streak for his comrades, who he is willing to sacrifice everything for. He will also sacrifice everything in order to destroy the titans, and keep humanity safe. He greatly respects Corporal Levi, holding him in great regard, despite the arguments they have.

Waking up was always so peaceful, for the first few seconds. It's the time when you don't register the happenings in your life and you can just lie there and stare at the ceiling, feel the gentle sunlight... or, in Eren's case, the drab, candle lit dullness of his dungeon cell. His eyes fluttered for a moment as his mind spun, gathering his thoughts from nowhere and everywhere. What day was it? Where were-

Eren sat up sharply, his chains rattling against his wrists as he did so, his eyes wide and bright even in what little light there was. He was in the dungeons; that meant they were back at base. Which meant the mission was either completed, or...his dreams were real. He looked down at his wrists, shocked to see bandages on his arms. He had been injured? Of course he had, he'd been fighting...the Female Titan. The brunette brought one hand up to run through his hair, thinking on just what this meant.

He nearly gagged when images rose up in his mind. Auruo, his head smashed against the ground. Erd, his blank eyes terrified, staring up at the sky, blood splattered on his cheek. And Petra...slumped against that tree...never to smile again... The shifter leant to set his head on his covered knees, one hand clenched into his hair as tears came to his eyes again.

Levi had been lurking in the shadows surrounding the cells, the grey-blue of his iris' seemed to glint, the boy was crying, was this remorse? Levi didn't entirely know the truth, he just proceeded to think the female type titan had murdered them without a second thought- He hadnt of seen his squad murdered, he had just seen their eyes, blank, staring, dead.

Levi's hands clenched the black coat swung neatly over his shoulder, and limped towards the cage bars, he deemed on the thought that he, himself was proven pathetic, humanity's strongest.. Yet he had been injured by an miscalculated landing. None of the less, levi's eyes were dead-set centre on Eren." Oy, Eren." He acknowledged in his cold, raspy tone, rattling the rations alongside the cage bars in order to snap the brunette's mind back into reality. Rivaille watched on silently for a few moments, his arms folded tightly into his broad yet petite chest, straining himself to grab hold of the bars." Stop your babbling, brat- you ought to get past this tears thing if you want to help humanity." Another interaction fairly the same, levi affixed Eren quite a lot with some form of a degrading term.

Levi fiddled with the pleated ruffles of his cravat, shifting in it the way which looked neat and straight against his neck." It seems now, your little girlfriend titan with the nice ass has decided she'll kill anyone in her way of you." Levi watched with his cold, bored expression." But you lost so much control she was able to eat you. We have ... " there was a long pause, levi's demeanour changed a little "i have to fix that." Levi corrected himself, subconsciously he still thought his squad members were alive, maybe if they hadn't gone out on their 57th mission they would be.

At the sound of Levi's voice, Eren had stiffened, his eyes going wide as he stared at the sheets. The idea that he had caught him crying of all things...was actually put to the back of his mind in that moment as he listened to his words. He was right; the Female Titan had already proven that she'd get him in any way necessary. The third time in a titan's mouth...hadn't been pleasant, he was sure. Slowly, Eren looked up, sitting back, some of his hair falling over his teary eyes as sat slumped on his bed.

"I'm gonna have to fix it," Eren responded, his voice a little croaky. He cleared his throat. There was a chill in the air, and he gave a slight shiver, reaching up to cross one arm as he lifted his eyes to the corporal's. "It's my fault; I was the one who let them go without me. Maybe if I'd been there with them, if I'd made that decision, then..." He shook his head, turning his eyes away once again, not wanting to look at the very corporal who had told him about making those decisions. He was right though; it was his fault.

Levi's lips stiffened, in all his might he was begging himself not to snap, the boy was just a boy, his decisions were made a choice by levi, if levi had maybe commanded him to do otherwise in the first place without giving the brunette something to choose, maybe, there would of been a chance they survived."i didn’t give you permission to get wound up over nothing.Get your ass up. ” Levi demanded. “Or would you want me to do it for you...." Levi's cold glare beckoned for eren to look up." And look at your superior when he's talking to you."

Behind the hard, rash-desicion-making outer shell levi had built for himself over the years, he pitied Eren, was he a mutt? In a behavioural aspect Yes. But were the courts treating him literally as some sort of animal which was being condemned to death if he didn't do as he was told, not to mention levi was also responsible for slaughtering the poor boy if it led to that, he was the only ons that could. Rivaille carried himself across the room, the aching of his foot driving him to grunt a little as grabbed the keys, the rusted texture of them almost sent levi in a mad dash to cleanse his hands, tossing them to eren, he sighed." No one else in my squad is to die. Got it?" Levi threatened, it was suggestive though, eren being basically the only one left.

Levi dusted his hands delicately, planning to stow away eren and try give him a few chances to gain some sort of control, if anyone complained, levi had the authority, or the intense gaze to say otherwise. He shifted his hips, leaning on the other leg, propping his foot upwards a little."hurry up kid."

Permission to get wound up? Well, that was the kind of thing he supposed Levi would order if he was stoic. Which he wasn't. Eren looked up at Levi as the order was given, and he nodded in reply. "Yes sir," He replied in a determined, but slight tone, moving to unlock his manacles. He got the message. He wasn't to die before he could free humanity. "No one else...I won't let that happen." They dropped one by one to the bed, and he rubbed his wrists to get the blood flowing again, clearing his throat once as he did so.

"It...won't happen again, sir," Eren told him as he moved to stand, turning his legs over the side of the bed and testing the cold stone before he finally stood, a little shaky still from the injury. Despite the healing ability he had, no matter what the injury, he always felt a little sore. The titan-shifter stood and rolled his shoulders, looking down at the cotton hospital clothes they'd put him in. Hanji had taken a look at him before they had hauled him back down here, with Eren himself only half-registering what was going on. The shock...

It wasn't the first time he had seen death, but it didn't matter. Because despite the fact that he had only known them for a short amount of time, they were closer to him than the majority of the 104th Division. He had only been particularly close to a group of them. Eren looked down Corporal, moving to square his shoulders. "So...what's the agenda?"

Levi's eyes moved in a peculiar - almost judging way as he looked the boy once up, and once down, he then moved to unlock the main cell door, the hinges moaned in protest as it took some effort to swing it open, levi had to use his back muscles, and pressure his foot into the ground in order to keep it open, "kss." He was still being so pathetic for himself. Maybe the whole experienced had softened himself a little. Levi inwardly mocked himself for that thought, hardly-if anything it would turn him colder.

Levi was focused on rubbing the exterior of his own hands for a moment, trying to bring back any circulation he had lost while trying to yank the damn door open." To get you out of here, remember that castle You helped me so call-" levi cleared his throat in a sarcastic manor." 'clean' " he looked up as the numbness and pale skin began to pinken on his hand." We will be camping there for a while, Hanji will come with us....she's sort or a side kick of mine." His eyelids dropped over his eyes once more, causing him to seem uninterested with Eren at the moment." And don't hurt yourself, i don't want to be trying to slice through your titan neck for your ass if you shift."

Levi sighed, there were little recruits as is wanting to join the legion, most of them had wanted to join the military force as a sense of security, or, a sense of cowardliness in levi's opinion. Maybe Erwin had been too careless with publicising the extent of death at the time they were to choose a group, but at least they had gained the bravest people, not necessarily the strongest. Levi's deep-set thought was interrupted as he looked up at Eren's large eyes, tossing eren's gear over levi's shoulder, he nodded." Keep the hospital kid stuff on." Levi smirked as he turned around and began walking, a hidden gesture," suits you." He continued.

Eren blinked once at the corporal's words, his brow furrowing for a moment. What-? He looked down at himself and saw just how loose his shirt was hanging, partially off one shoulder, revealing thin, showing collarbones and a sculpted shoulder, and the fact that the pants were slung low and only went to just under his knees. He gave a small grunt and a slight flush, pulling up the shirt as he started to follow the corporal. What did he mean it 'suited him'? It was degrading. The stuff they put him in was always too big, because to be honest (not that he'd admit it) he wasn't exactly the largest recruit there was. Sure, he was bigger than Armin and Connie, he was even taller than Levi, but it didn't matter. He didn't have the bulk the majority of soldiers did, so they didn't fit him.

His bare feet padded on the somewhat dank, cold floor as he moved behind the corporal, looking back at the open door of his cell, before back to the rod-straight back before him. "Did Hanji find anything interesting, sir?" He asked as he followed him, closely, he might add. The two of them started on the narrow stairway and Eren put a hand on the wall for support as he tried to keep up. He was sore- not injured, but sore enough to lag a bit.

The dark-haired man snapped one if his fingers." Right, that was it" levi's brow crumpled into a frown as he searched his mind for the explanation, he stole a quick glance back." It seems that-as Hanji says, the female type titan is intelligent, not just an average abnormal, but it possesses a human like quality similar to the colossal titan and that annoying gate-smasher. " The corporal shifted his head to the side, an intrigued look playing in his eyes, he knew Eren was there the time the colossal titan had attacked his settlement, and he tested if just mentioning it would trigger something in eren, an advantage to levi maybe.

" anyway- Hanji had also realised it can shield itself with it's hand, or with some unknown matter, I'm sorry to say we may be trying this out on you, see if we can break down the issue, but-" levi cut himself short, spotting a couple if guards that were supervising the area, levi quickly spun around, his gaze meeting with eren's for a split second, then went around to grab fist fuls of his hair, jerking his head backwards, and holding the boy's arms behind his back." Oy, eren- keep moving." His voice purred, as Levi instructed. it was a ploy, levi hadn't asked the high court if he could borrow eren, and it seems he would have to play a role if he wanted eren to get out, he nodded to the guards, his movements were harsh, and he kept the boy in front of him, his breath hovered in a cool tone over the brunettes neck." Play along."

Levi continued, the guards were certainly instructed, but then again they were all thick-skulled and were looking for a good show now and then.

Eren did not stop at the mention of the Colossal titan, but he grit his teeth, his back straightening a little. He was the one who started it all; ever since the settlement, he'd known it'd had intelligence. Knowing that there must be more out there, it was just... His eyes reflected some of that hate, but on majority it just looked like he was brooding.

Eren stepped back once in surprise as the corporal rounded on him and winced at the grip on his hair, his neck craning up. The looked there was one of warning, so when he was about to cry out in indignation, he stopped himself and instead hissed in pain. His arms still hurt, after all. The feel of cool breath on his bare neck made his hair stand up on edge, but he ignored that for a moment as he stiffly moved forward, shifting sometimes and forcing a slightly harder grip that would make it seem like he was squirming. He let out a sharper cry as his arm was pulled back further and he gave a slight growl at that. Just because he was meant to be acting like he was in pain didn't mean Levi actually had to inflict it. "I'm moving!" He said with irritation.

The show in front of him enthralled levi, he was oscillating between loosening his grip and watching the boy squrim about infront of him, the guards seemed to let the two have right of passage between the halls, the two moving out of the guards' line of vision.

Levi still kept Eren under his strength, half open in curiosity, his eyes were pinned to the back of eren's head." That's some attitude." Levi eventually let go, the cramped space of the walls meant levi's elbows scraped along the rough texture of the worn down brick, but his hand lay sternly on the boy's back, a sort ofcontrol thing- that made levi drunk off just the feeling of superiority . Opening the door, the usually abandoned corridors of the first floor above ground bustled with life, rather, recruits. Levi didn't fret, all of them were under his rank, and most of them knew he was capable of banging their head into the closest wall if they questioned his actions, her urged the boy forwards, incredulous glances were threw in the two's direction, but soon shied away."brats can't even clean the place right." Levi complained, it was driving him mad with the amount of dust cluttering the corners.

Sneaking out the back of the building, levi began making his way towards the stables, surely Erwin wouldn't mind if they used his horse for Eren, they would need the two quickest ones.levi had been contemplating for a while, his mouth opened and his voice was tinted with humour." what size neck do you have, Eren."levi had played on the fact he needed to be trained like a dog, dogs wore collars didn't they? Maybe levi was just pulling Eren's strings.

Levi petted his horses' nose, the animal licked The corporal's hand instinctively." Your horse is that one." Levi said dimly, his head instructing the direction.

Eren kept his eyes forward, trying not to fidget from the warmth and slight pressure of the corporal's hand on his back as he moved through the floors. The staring...while he was used to it, it seemed to be even more intense than usual at the moment. Probably because of Corporal, and the...current situation. He was surprised when they weren't confronted by the recruits, who looked about ready to pounce on Eren. He knew he had stuffed up. In the end, he was the one who probably could have saved those who died...it was his fault. Despite the fact that they hadn't been told about the specifics of the mission...

"Wha-?" He asked as Levi's words suddenly registered. His hand flew to the back of his neck, over the slightly harder part in between his shoulders, his shoulders coming up some as he thought of what that could mean. What was he asking? Why was he asking? For the weak spot-? "My neck?" He asked incredulously as he looked back over his shoulder. When Levi moved away, his eyes followed him to the midnight black horse Corporal always rode. Then his words registered again and Eren blinked, his back straightening.

"Me?" He asked as he stared at the majestic white stallion the Commander rode. "But that's Commander Erwin's horse, I can't ride him!" He said in some alarm, looking around the stables.

Levi's attention was brought to erens exasperated questions, they begged him for answers to his 'humour'. Levi remained quiet- a flustered, confused babbling eren gave him entertainment, levi didnt feel inclined to give him a straight answer anyway. In the moments that followed The Corporal looked up towards at the sky, birds gliding in the blue. Significant to levi, as unlike the very thing, humanity, he was trying to protect, those feathered creatures were able to safely come and go between walls as they pleased.

Levi mulled the words over for a moment." Well, it's your decision, but take note not much is left in the way of 'other' majestic steeds here, its his horse, or the thing we call dog food in the corner." Subtly, levi's hand had slipped it's way under eren's harness, pulling it once and slapping it once in place." T'was twisted." The captain mocked.

Rivaille led his horse out of itsstall, making sure to double check it was equipped with what he would need. Hoping this small mission he pursued would lead him somewhere, his His heart dropped as he saw the beautiful green and white wings on the cape that had belonged to Petra which was still draped over the saddle, realising he was becoming more and more out of his stone cold character, levi turned quickly, miscalculating and becoming almost nose to nose with the boy, hedging his bets that Eren would draw away. " oy." He announced.

Eren blinked once at Levi, surprised at the touch, and looked down once, before turning towards the aforementioned 'dog food,' and giving a sneer. It wasn't very pretty; it was old, and looked rather sickly to be honest. It paled in comparison to Erwin's stallion...then again, everything else did. It was the highest breed, a gift from the officials in Wall Sina. Well...he wouldn't mind riding it, it's just that it wasn't his horse to ride.

The shifted felt a strike of longing for his own horse. She had been a great horse, beautiful and strong. Plus, she hated Jean just as much as he did, which was awesome. After a long day's ride, it was good to see Jean getting nipped at. Eren turned his head back and was about to speak, his mouth open to do so, when he found himself face to face with Corporal, the two of them standing practically chest to chest.

He blinked down at him, his mouth still open, just taking a moment to look over 'humanity's strongest.' He couldn't so much as get past the eyes. They were dark, a deep kind of blue. Most people would say they were a dark grey, black even, but no- Eren could see that they were actually a dark shade of blue. A slight flush swept across his cheeks, barely noticeable against the tan of his cheeks, and he turned away with an almost testy expression, turning and walking from the stall. "Okay, I'll, ah, take Commander's horse." He quickly fled the stall to the one next to it, which was only separated by a single beam, so Levi could still see him clearly.

Levi stilled, he remained where the two had accidentally confronted one another, his eyes trailed off and followed eren's retreating back." Good." He nodded reassuringly before stretched his shoulders, pulling his arms infront of him until he heard the crack, releasing all the tension he carried there, still limping, the man hauled himself up onto his horse after opening the stall gate." We better go." Levi mumbled, surely, if all went to worst, the capitol would releive him from any charges, he was trying to gain more information, that was all.

Kicking his horse into gear, levi watched the world whirl around him upon the creature, this was usually his time to think, it brought him to eren. Levi probably should contemplate over the mission at hand, but eren was that wasn't he? Levi sighed.

As levi recalled, there had been a moments hesitation on erens part- as if the boy was scanning his eyes over the corporal, was he-gazing? Levi envied eren's height, surely he hadn't stopped growing either, levi sighed, it always afflicted levi's sense of dignity whenever a boy towered over him. Nothing else was heard apart from the clinking of metal, and the horses hooves pounding away at the ground below, exerting so much force against the ground sometimes the damn animal jolted levi to the side, shifting his spine, levi held his breath, all this business was wearing him down, hopefully this small escape from it all at the castle would help him.

Eren was quick to tack the horse, which had been left to rest, and was surprised at how docile the proud beast seemed to be. He breathed out deeply as before he swung himself up into the saddle at the word of Corporal (he still took a moment to think about just how close Levi had been just moments before, it was almost as if he was daring him to keep his eyes on him...), and winced at the soreness in his muscles. It was like he had been run over by the very horse he was sitting on...while it was pulling a cart.

He steered the horse out of the stables, following Levi closely behind, wondering at their lack of supplies. He supposed that they would always be supplies at the castle base, but still... As they left the gates and exited onto the roads, he could see the slight shifting in Levi that was just hinting at the pain he was in. He had set an almost maddening pace; a quick gallop that the rather beautiful stallion kept up with easily. Eren brought the horse alongside Levi's own and turned his eyes to look at him. "Corporal, are you alright?" he asked after a moment on contemplation. He wasn't sure if he should be asking that question. But Corporal was helping him...right?

Levi turned his head a little, looking at Eren, unlike usually, with that cold stare-his face was contorted with a mess of emotions." I'm fine". He reassured, pulling the horse up outside the castle, and slowly lowering himself off the saddle, brokenly, just for a moment stilling himself against the side of the horse, trying to relieve the soreness.

He watched the slow gradient sky darken, there wasn't much they would be able to achieve in the dark, but levi couldn't care less for the obvious at the moment, without a second thought he perked himself upright and hobbled towards the doors, his back muscles flexed as he budged open the worn down wooden carcass of a door, immediately dusting his hands off, the inside though, was still moderately tidy from their last visit. Something had caught his eye at the base of the table which occupied one of the rooms, and The corporal had a feeling he knew what it was. He bent down to pick up one of his squad member's buttons of the ground, it may of been insignificant to some, but the damn pests left so many things behind it haunted him. Yet for a moment, all he could do was stare at the small thing with shock on face that softened his angry eyes and his hard mouth, replacing it with a vulnerability that was rarely on his features.

Levi loosened his shoulders and turned, disabling the thoughts and lighting a few candles to brighten the room, he knew that the road he travelled on was a lonely one, and he was being held back.

The corporal took out a large folded handkerchief from the saddle bag he carried in with him, tightening it around his face, and another over his hair to direct dust away from him. " Eren, " he called, a muffled sound from the cotton." Rest for now." Levi let out a small groan as he set himself down, his voice growling in a soft command. His muscles ached, particularly in his back and feet, taking off his jacket he also removed his boots, already some tension built between the fabric and leather let his muscles deteriorate the pain, bitterly, but it helped.

Eren couldn't help his stare at the Corporal as he took in the sheer emotion on his usually impassive, indifferent face. Levi cut a head a bit and Eren didn't bother to keep up quite as much. He stayed just a little behind for the rest of the journey, his eyes fixed heavily on Levi's back. Eren was quicker off his horse, but he arrived just a little later, to see Levi leaning brokenly against the horse. He was in pain; he had noticed the lilt in his step, he was limping. He had been since the forest...

The idea even that humanity's strongest had been injured, was astounding to Eren. Levi was the strongest of all of them; the best of the best. He seemed almost inhuman, superhuman at times (not that he could really talk), so the idea that he had been hurt was incomprehensible... Eren stayed by his horse, taking a little while to get the saddle bag off the horse that held just a few things. Nothing much, just essentials. He followed where Corporal had gone, and looked around for a moment before heading down the darkened corridor to where he knew the rooms resided. And, at the end of it, a staircase that led down...

He stopped short as he saw a shifting movement in one of the rooms and backtracked so he could see. Yes, it was Corporal... Eren's body straightened up as something in him seemed to drift to Levi. Standing there, staring at his back, he could see the tightening there, the emotion was subtle, but noticeable, because he never showed it. Eren took a step into the room, and just when he was about to say something, Corporal spoke. He watched still as he moved to sit, the shifter unusually quiet, and stayed where he was a few steps from the door. When he was younger, he had seen enough of his father's patients from Maria to know a broken ankle when he saw it. Levi may not even be aware; he was probably so used to pain anyway that it was a dulled sensation to what a usual break would be.

Eren turned his eyes away but kept them in Levi's general direction, choosing not to meet with the (blue, he now knew) eyes of his superior officer as he moved to where the Corporal sat. He moved to put his saddlebag down and moved to squat before his seat, not even looking at him as he moved a hand towards his ankle. "Stay still," He said in a tired, but determined tone. "You're injured; you shouldn't have ridden like that with an ankle injury."

Levi looked down, a glimpse of his glare striked across his face as he neared, his hands instinctively flinging down- Trying to protect the thing which caused him so much muted pain, a nerving feeling came about as Eren moved towards the extremity, his throat let off a quiet catch of his voice, a grunt sound would be considered similar. Rivaille hesitantly removed his hands.

Eren was right.

Damn.

"And who are you to tell me what i can and can't do." Levi's voice rang out softly, a sign somewhere he hadn’t been completely consumed by this over-powering character he held dear.Watching with what only could be described as curiosity on his face, the boy was undoubtedly skilled with his hands, and the corporal only expected that his own warning glare would intimidate him to buckle and flee. He didn't.The sudden expression over the boy's face troubled Levi, as if there was a hint of relatable pity. He knew he felt those large jade eyes lock to the corporal's back, the boy seemed to be more observant with emotions than levi thought. Levi drew himself to flip the button between his fingers as he rested his back against the chair, slouching barely, just staring with blank eyes at the rounded object-an almost glaze of self resentment covered his eyes.

"Eren. Thanks."

Nothing more followed, in fact the man hardly even rested his eyes against the tanned skin of the other. An empty statement lay on the (if you could call it) compliment, rather, the captain was thanking the boy for just being with him, company, he rarely had any of it, and if he did it was ripped from him. He came to the conclusion that's why he remained almost so cold with the boy, getting close to people always ended in death. Eren was too valuable to die. In more ways than one.

The corporal glanced down again, his hand moved, stopped mid-air in hesitation, then gently resided to ruffle the brunette locks of his hair. " you need a hair cut." Levi stated boldly, slipping the button into the pocket of the white jean like pants, his ankle already felt at more of an ease.

Eren gave the slightest smile at the Corporal's words, shaking his head as he simply moved his hands over the ankle and calve with the simple motion of a light massage, testing out the muscles. "I'm not tellin' you what you can and can't do, I'm just tellin' you what I think you shouldn't have done." The shifter replied quietly as he worked. He didn't want to remove the pressure of the socks and the bottom of the trousers just yet, just in case the flesh was going to swell...

Shifting, he pushed himself down from his squat so he was kneeling there, slumped back, before Corporal, taking a moment to think of the situation. If Levi were anywhere near how he was usually...Eren would be nowhere near this position. But Eren understood this; there was a physical pain, as well as...the pain of losing someone. Eren had felt that before, by whatever god existed, he had. He knew that kind of agony. So, he would just have to wait it out. And if that meant helping humanity's strongest soldier with an ankle injury, then so be it.

At the thanks, Eren felt a slight warming in his chest that came whenever Levi was nice, or as nice as he could be, in his general direction. It was a kind of compliment, a thanks from Levi that was different. And the fact that he was using his name...usually it was just 'Jäger' or 'shitty brat'. He was just thinking of how to attack the idea of taking a look at the ankle injury itself when a hand fell on top of his hair. Eren stiffened slightly, keeping his eyes down to Levi's ankle as a very slight flush came to his hair at the almost gentle touch. The position they were in...it was strangely comfortable, at least to Eren. "Y-Yeah, usually Mikasa would do it, but we've been busy, so..." He trailed off.

The shifter gulped, the flush still on his cheeks as he reached down to begin pulling up the leg of the fairly thick trousers, with ease and care. He went slow, knowing there would be soreness and probably some nerve pain. Then, he reached for the sock. "I gotta take a look at it..." he said, wary still of the hand on his hair.

An almost immediate pain pulsed through the ankle in complex detail, causing levi's hands to clamp and his fingers tightened around the boy's hair, his pain tolerance seemed off, the containment of the trousers seemed to have been hiding the majority if the pain. Levi's jaw locked and clenched." Shit." He growled, pulling his hands away from the brunette's hair to move the cloth down his face. Rivaille wouldn’t consider himself a weak man, He had been through worse, but his state at the moment wasn't a clear headed one, so he didn't attempt to comment on the whom inflicted the pain, rather, how bad it was. usually it would be reversed.

Levi sighed, for the inarguably strictest person in the corps, he sure was making a fool of himself, he calmed down and clutched the arms of the chairs instead, the wood creaking as it took on the role of easing levi's pain." Eren" he said softly, his mind wandered for a while, "Do you despise me." Levi said, his voice was as nonchalant as his face was.

over the course of the few weeks that he had been supervising jāger, levi had managed to beat the boy in front of a large audience, and try convince him that many of his friends would be dead by the first year, though, in that statement levi was almost certain he was correct. Their relationship was strictly distant, hardly as close as this, and this bothered levi, as he couldn't seem to get inside Eren's head as much as he had hoped.Levi tensed up, watching the boy below his waist and raising his eyebrow, is the brat blushing?... this intrigued levi and he was fixated on finding out the cause.

Darkness had already fallen over the course of the few minutes they had spent in the room, the air was growing colder as time went by, form the corner of his eye levi watched the candle light flicker and dispatch light to the room, maybe levi was becoming too soft.

(( gomen my post is really bad xD))

(Lol, don't worry! Seriously, it's good :D)

Eren winced once at the sudden, tight grip on his hair, feeling a sharp tugging sensation in his roots. He kept his hands resting very gently against the bruised skin, afraid for a moment that he'd actually hurt him. Eren looked up from beneath a few strands of his hair to Corporal, his blush still on his cheeks at the hard (but strong, steady) grip on his hair. As the hand retreated, he saw the way it curled around the edge of the armrest, and his eyes narrowed just a little, his flush still on his cheeks. "I'm sorry," he said with sincerity. "I'm trying to be gentle..." He looked back down at the bruised skin. It had turned a dark blue/purple hue, the very edges beginning to tinge green, and it had swollen somewhat, which would have been accelerated by the riding. Definitely broken. Stupid Corporal.

He concentrated for a moment in the relative darkness at the sheer intensity of the break. His father had always allowed him to help out whenever he had home patients, unless it was something horrific... He knew a fair bit about broken bones, and bruises to say the least. Eren couldn't help his reaction to the Corporal's words, his head snapped up and his mouth dropped open a little, his jade eyes bright with shock. "W-What?" He asked, his back straightening as he took in the image of Levi in the muted candle light. He was lit from one side, but Eren could see the kind of intensity there in his eyes.

The shifter looked away, unable to keep that gaze for some reason, his blush partially hidden (but not enough) by his hair. What was wrong with him? He was never this disconcerted. He looked back down to the corporal's uncovered foot and slid one of his hands down gently to cup his heel, bringing it up just a bit and keeping his other hand gently resting on the tender skin. "No," he said quietly after a few moments, his eyes drawn a little unsteadily to the mix of pale and bruised skin in his hands. "No, I don't despise you. I get what you're doing; I know you've...got a responsibility, and I get that it means you've gotta be cruel sometimes. But you're...you're a good Corporal, you always just know what to do, so..." He huffed out a breath. "How can I hate you? I can't."

(( ah, fewf c;))

Levi's muscles screamed in protest at the shift in Eren's movement, but seemed to gain a sense of releif after the strain, and he slipped slightly in the chair, lowering himself into what levi had come to realise as relaxation." Ah, i see." He now had the answer, and it helped it wasnt a reply that would daunt Rivaille, not that he’d let show, anyway.

Levi's mind happened to be as dim as his habitual expression, he needed an excuse to just let loose, discard any feeling he was having. He let his hand roughly grab Eren's chin and tilt it upwards in a quick action, it occured to him now, eren reminded him of someone he used to know. "We are alone, Eren, No need to stand on formality, don't apologise. I am in need of the pain." Levi almost demanded, - all the while letting the coldness diminish from his expression. The impression levi admitted was as if it was a sin he was actually showingemotion. Because of this He finally had reassured himself Messy deaths, no matter how heroic would happen everyday, Levi would find time to grieve for his comrades in the time ahead. Obviously this was not healthy, he needed To show his grief, and maybe that would of eased his remorse.

With those thoughts diminished, he looked down at levi with a stern frown." Look at me when you're talking. I cant follow your answer if it's to the dirt." His eyes glinted as if almost dangerously, and he let go, residing to pull a smoke out of his pocket, probably also bad for his health.

levi had lost himself
