Hello! I've always kind of been hesitant to watch boys love things, just because.. I don't know actually. I guess I'm a shy and it maybe felt so much more real. *blushes* You know, like I was watching truly intiment moments. lol

 

Anyways, if you guys wouldn't mind giving me some suggestions on the "Must See"'s of the BL world, I would be most appreciative.

i'm a bit of a manga person,,,and i haven't seen live action BL...sorry...

 

on the anime side..the first one i actually saw was "Kirepapa" (2 episodes) it's really funny for me..at least. . .and my non-BL loving board mates appreciated it too,,,

 

the ones i've truly loved are Winter Cicada (Fuyu no Semi) and Junjou Romantica...

But if you're new, why not try manga and anime first.

Let my imagination go wild and free then went crazy to try and watch BL dramas.

These are great reccs, though, "Boys Love" has one or two very graphic scenes (you mentioned you were shy) In my early days of BL and Yaoi, I also watched "Taiikukan Baby" and "Itsuka no Kimi E." The romance is fairly mild in both films and they have happy endings. There's also "Sukitomo" which involves unrequited or oblivious boys love.

You should also try Taikukan Baby. The ending is sooo cute and unexpected. Though there are lots of boring scenes, but either way, it's cute.

agree. i liked Boys love so much but a really sad ending. also you can watch kirepapa and Sex pistols, sekaiichi hatsukoi, jonjou romantica and winter cicada.

I'm new too and have never watched any dramas. I didn't know if I should start another thread for this or not, but I'm curious if anyone can recommend more light hearted bl dramas. Steamy is cool too. I just don't want to cry. Maybe dramas aren't for me?

if you want sweet cute yaoi drama then I suggest Takumi kun 1 and Junjou pure heart since both of them have happy endings

 

Boy meets boy and Just friends?(the sequel of boy meets boy) (both of them are korean yaoi drama) are really good too :3 both are cute and have happy endings

 

rec (korean yaoi drama) is good too if you want some sad drama.I think it describes a problem that some gay people have. Also the way they film it is really unique too. (but like i said before , it has a sad ending) this one is quite graphic too if i am not mistaken
