The was normal evening in Konoha village and Naruto was walking around in Konoha street after he have been trening with Kakashi,Sakura and Sai, he walked towards his favorite place the ramen shop and walked in the ramen shop, sat himself down on chair, order some ramen, when his ramen come, he start to eat his ramen.

Itachi was eating dango while sitting under the tent of the teahouse a few paces down Ichiraku's ramen noodle shop. He nibbled slowly on it as though they were made of stone. He lowered his head trying to be unnoticed from the people passing by. He hated the hostile looks he gets from the people, he was a true hero who sacrificed everything that he had for the village, but since the massacre, despite he is no longer a criminal, it was hard to turn people's hearts. And all to add to that was his weakened state, his eyes weren't as strong as they used to be and he keeps constantling battling with his illness, and so he was released from his duties. There was no glory for him in returning home.

Naruto was walking down the street when he so familiar person, he walked closer to dango shop and realished at the was Itachi so sat and eat dango, he walked in the dango shop"Itachi what are you doing here?"

He looked up, his black eyes slightly fading to grey, he let his lower lip hanging slightly loose as though he was going to talk but he just let a moment before he replied '' Nothing really, just enjoying eating dango'' it was one of the few thing that he still was able to enjoy. He always was someone who had a sweet-tooth. ''Naruto-kun weren't you sent for a mission?''

Naruto answer back" yes I was going now, I was in ramen shop for to eat before I do my mission, we talks later when I'm coming back from my mission, be carefully and don't get caught"

'caught?' he looked up and raised an eyebrow, overcasting a bitter smile on his lips in just a brief moment. 'What kind of mission it is?'' he asked with interest.

Naruto smiled"we shall help sand village with to rescue some children so have Ben kidnap of ninja thief"

'I see, sounds like a very easy one'' Itachi replied. He wished he could have the ability to do missions again. He then paused and looked absently at the long street filled with restaurants and other shops and people going on with their own business. 'Surely Konoha had changed a lot ever since I've left' he muttered 'even when I came here with Kisame' Even in his weakened state, Itachi had that mysterious calm aura about him, and the wisdom of a man who knows more than he shows.

Naruto smiled''we talk more when I'm getting back here, good bye Itachi, see you soon'' he said and walked towards the Konoha gate

'Be careful' Itachi answered and watched him leave. All he could do now is waiting. Endless days of peacefulness but it did not take away his gloom. He finished eating the dango and stood up, thanking the lady who served him the food he started strolling by, with his head down as though he didn't wish to bring too much attention upon himself.

Naruto was greeted by the pink haired girl, resting the palm of her hands on her hips in a motherly manner, ready to scold the mischievous son. 'You are late!!' he was welcomed by her loud demanding voice. ''Where have you been?''

It had been four days ever since Naruto and his team left for that mission. He was sitting with his back against a tree trunk and shaded by the leaves that filtered the sun's rays and fell into patches of pool light over him. His head was lightly bowed concentrating as he was reading from the book that was resting on his lap. The sound of the hushed of the water flowing in the river nearby soothed his senses. He sometimes gazed towards the stony path on the other side that snaked from the forest all the way to the mouth of Konoha's gate. In hope to see the team crossing along the road on their way to the village.

Naruto spotted Itachi sitting against the tree. He told his team that he was going off and headed towards the older man greeting him. 'Hey Itachi'

Naruto pouted ''terribly boring' he said crossing his arms even though all these years Naruto had grown not just as a ninja but also as a young man he still had his usual childish traits which made him endearing. ''I wish granny Tsunade gives us higher ranking missions especially that now I am about to do the chunin exam finally' his demeanor changed into a grin at the prospect of becoming a chunin.

Itachi smiled''I'm sure she is going to give you high rank mission when you have become Chunin''

The boy's sky blue eyes widened and gleamed at his words. He crunched his hand into a fist to show his determination ''Of course!! then I will become Hokage!'' such an escalated aspiration was typical of Naruto. The thought in itself of becoming a Hokage has never wavered or forgotten.

Itachi smiled"of course you is going to become Hokage, you is going to be very good Hokage, and do you still like Sakura Haruno?"

The abrupt question seem to have left him a bit stymied because his bottom lip was hanging as though he was going to speak, but he didn't say anything. He cast his eyes down to the ground in an embarrassed look and scratched the back of his head. ''Well yes but she doesn't feel the same way'' after all the business with Sasuke, she couldn't be blamed.
