Dev Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Yay time to add some Indian spice to this post XD *throws chilli powder on the post* rofl Potato curry: Basically the main ingredients are the Potato of course, tomato for the gravy, garlic, ginger and onion. Most of the other flavours are obtained from the dry spices we add to our food at the beginning eg Cinnamon sticks, clove, fennel seeds and cardamom. Tomato spice soup: This is eaten with rice and children sometimes eat this with "roti" which is the Indian bread eaten with curries. Some drink it straight like soup. This picture looks a bit like a curry than a soup, the one we make at home is more liquidy and smooth. Main ingredients are the Dal (form of pulses like mung bean), tomato, lemon... other things LOL + all the dry spices. Chilli powder too of course But yo.... we don't eat stuff like this everyday! Sometimes we make Mexican burritos/quesadilla, Chinese stir fry, English food (pies, soups etc). There are TOO many Indian deserts but I quite like these: Yoghurt: Essentially this is yoghurt BUT it is traditionally made at home, yoghurt bought from the shop, strained overnight, sugar, spice and saffron are added to get the spice sweet flavour it has. Additional stuff can be used on top like powdered nuts and nutmeg LOL how is this for a response? XD
