Helios Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 Hello everybody. I'll be the first one to admit that I first thought all visual novels were bullshit. I do realize that this was a pretty crass assessment of thing, but there just wasn't anything out there that appealed to me. Everything was either just bad porn with a cheap plot tacked on or bad plot sprinkled in worse cliches. All of it was just trash. While I was never the most enthusiastic fan of anime, though I would read a handful of seinen, josei, and yaoi novels and I was never very vocal about it. I guess due to the negative connotations associated with the latter. My friend came back from a trip to Okinawa and was able to spark some kind of interest in these games by introducing me to a game called Sengoku Rance. Which turned out to be one of most funniest experiences I've ever had with games in general. It was like Suikoden with smut, charm, humor, and better gameplay. I underestimated it and ended up surprised. So I decided to look around for some Yaoi related and discovered Nitro+ and it seems like they're a company who has everything I usually enjoy out of visual novels and fiction in general. So I guess that makes me a pretty big fan of works like Togainu No Chi. So I transitioned from revulsion and disgust to.. Thinking some of it is pretty good. I'm still really picky. I guess that's the reason I joined this board for the downloads and discussions... Things of that nature. I figured just figured I would make a proper introduction. It's nice to meet all of you.
