First Introduction into Yaoi

I'm in 3rd year HS now, and i am a Fujoshi starting when i was in 1st year.

I accidentally clicked on a SasuNaru doujin in YT when i was supposed to read a NaruHina Doujin.

Out of curiosity, i watched that vid until... yeah. XD

I found out about yaoi when I went to summer camp. Some of the friends I made told me about. I started checking it out when I got home and loved it.

there is rumored gay couple in our class,,its like they're being isolated by their friends,,sometimes their friends refer to them as "yaoi", in a mocking way, behind their backs.. i don't know what that means by that time so i asked what is "yaoi".. they said genre where men loves men..[but my first taste of light BL was Kyou Kara Maoh when it first aired on Animax]

 

then i started searching for yaoi mangas...and i so love the results...

and.. i actually congratulated the two, lol

I was looking for interesting anime when i came across Gravitation.

I was watching thinking its freaking awesome then the kiss and stuff started happening....i froze.....scratched my head....looked around the room.....paused and said WTH?!. I finished the show got hooked on yaoi.

 

Whenever i'm in a bad mood i play the music from Gravitation. Best show EVER!!

I was on a Harry Potter forum and there were threads about slash, but I didn't pay much attention to them. But when I joined Court-Records, an Ace Attorney fansite, it was a lot more popular and I was exposed to it a lot more. I remember being on this icon page and I saw a lot of Phoenix/Edgeworth art. I wasn't really a fan at first-- I thought it was weird. I wasn't homophobic but shipping in general weirded me out and I had just thought that Edgeworth was straight. But all of the fanfiction was pretty much slash so I read a lot of it and eventually grew to really enjoy it.

 

I'm still really active in the Ace Attorney fandom and the slash is still going strong!

I was thirteen and curious. Searched "yaoi" on youtube and found Level-C. Worst. Intro. To. Yaoi. Ever. Scared me off but I forced myself to rewatch it. Then I found anime like Gravitation, Junjou Romantica, Sex Pistols, and Sensitive Pornograph that slowly got me into the anime. I found thesprectrum.net which got me into the manga. Aa! That was seven years ago...I can't believe it's been so long.
