I love unicorns

My favorite cartoon my childhood was/is "The last Unicorn"

The story is just amazing, till now it's one of my favorite storys. Still yet I hadn't read the Book *sigh~

Well Unicorns, dragons, elves, gryffins, as many of you mentioned too.

 

Also the Phoenix

 

 

 

And not just Pegasus, but all kinds of winged horses

 

 

 

I've even made up a few fantasy creatures myself but I'll save them for my books. XD

 

And then there is this one mythical scandinavian creature I used to be terrified of as a kid. lol

 

It's called Nøkken (I think it's called The Water Sprite in English)

 

 

It is said it could turn into a white horse to lure people onto its back and take them to its lake and drown them

And another scandinavian creature called Nisse. They're sort of like elves and goblins but...not. lol. They live in barns (secretly) and in mountains, and must never be seen by humans for some reason.

If I had to pick favourites, it would probably be:

 

Basilisk

 

 

 

Apparently a basilisk hatches from a chicken egg that is sat on by a toad O_o which kind of explains why some basilisks in mythology look like a chicken thingy. XD

It’s a shape-shifting water horse from Celtic folklore that is believed to haunt the rivers and lochs of Scotland and Ireland.
