She passed away after a battle with stage four cancer. * Peyo / Kosei Eguchi (died August 19, 2020) The creator of the acclaimed manga Boy Meets Maria, which is widely celebrated for its sensitive portrayal of gender identity and trauma. They passed away suddenly at the age of 23. * Neng-nim (died July 19, 2025) A popular South Korean manhwa artist known for the series Genres are Melodramatic. Her sudden passing was announced by her publisher, shocking the international reader community. * Zhen Nan / Nan Gwa (died 2024) A well-known Chinese danmei (BL) author, best known for the story The Heart of a Smith. She passed away following a period of illness. * Chiung Yao (died December 4, 2024) While a general romance novelist, her "sentimentalist" tropes heavily shaped the foundation of modern Asian BL dramas. She passed away at age 86.

Hi all, I was wondering if any of you ever contact your favourite mangakas just to say hi or thank you or tell them how awesome they are or give them encouragement? If so what where your reasons? (you can include the name of the mangaka if you like. ^^) Have you ever received a response? How did it go? Did you write in English or Japanese or another language? Personally, the last few years I have this growing fear that my favourite mangaka are getting older; what if they pass away without ever knowing how much I love them and just how much their stories mean to me? I must tell them! It's not always easy finding contact information but it is possible sometimes, so I've been doing my best to get in touch and let them know. Anyone else doing this?

Someone else may or may not have made a thread for this particular mangaka already but I'm such a huge fan that I had to The manga that introduced me to her works was Mujihi na Otoko (NanaoXAikawa!!!!!!!) And I love her one-shot collection, Asobi ja Nai no! Its one of my favourites!! :Red_fox7: Are there any other fans out there??? :_red_fox 3 (and even if you're not familiar with her manga, join the conversation regardless! )

Does anyone know and love Kaori Yuki? She's one of my favourite mangakas, and I really love her. If you love her too, than join! ^^
