So just a standard 'Hello' here. My name is Takeru Inudo, I am a trans-man (I can't afford the actual drugs & operation so woooo...no..no not rly.) & obviously I do enjoy yaoi. Now i'm not obsessive over it but I do enjoy reading/watching it on occasion, I used to write yaoi fanfiction during my HS & have been thing about doing it again to get back into writing but eh the time & motivation it takes. I am friendly but I have very little patience for ignorant & just blatant idiots. I do enjoy researching (whether it's on animals, science, cultures, ect.), I also enjoy playing video games & I still do occasionally play PS2 games (I like to reminiscence on my younger days when playing the games for the first time). I also enjoy manga & anime but not obsessive to the point where I watch it on a daily basis (though I do admit I feel a bit out of the loop with being behind on the latest trends in the community). Is the title too arrogant? Anyway, I've been a fudanshi for almost a year, but I registered to yaoiotaku not too long ago. I love mangas like Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, Junjou Romantica, Hang Out Crisis, Eigyou Nika, Gosan no Heart, DystopiA, Otogokoro, Love Stage, Itoshi no Nekokke, Escape Journey, Given, Lonely to Organdy (the two I just mentioned made me cry a lot) and some others. Like I said. I've been a fudanshi for almost a year and I've seen so many kinds of yaoi and some shonen ai. So for making this a little less boring I'll ask you how you became a fujoshi or fudanshi. I got into yaoi unintentionally. I find out this visual novel Don't Take it Personally, Babe, It just Ain't your Story. Is not yaoi nor shonen ai, but it shows some signs of it. I just played this visual novel because I read somewhere it was really good. There is a guy in the visual novel named Akira who discovers he is gay though eveyone except him already knew and he confesses to the cool, sexy guy of the class who is hetero, but he gives him a chance and they get closer. At some point the exgirlfriend almost ruins the relation but they make it up and get even closer. The sad part is that most or it is not shown because you are the teacher and learn most of this throw what others students tell you and the fact that you as a teacher have a tablet which you can use to see every conversation the students have on their cellphones. Anyway, there is a scene where you see those two hugging in the most adorable way. Tere is a part where Akira is just joking but at the end he gives a hint of wanting to have sex. Once the visual novel was done I was so annoyed. I wanted more. And because of it I started to look out for more visual novels with homosexual romance. Not very lucky though. I don't remember how but I found a yaoi which was decent and I really liked. From there I keep going until I learned the terms uke and seme. And now I considere myself a fudanshi, because I started shippin almost every good looking guys I see. That and how I would like that really sexy guy I saw in the store to be my lovely seme. Anyway, I would love to hear how you got into yaoi. Also if someone has a real yaoi story, please share xD.

Hi everyone! I'm Suneia...usually gets shortened to Sun. I'm new to the forum but not new to yaoi manga etc. I used to hang about on mIRC in all the yaoi scanlation group channels under the name Shisa years ago...(about 10 years ago really...huuuu...showing my age there). I used to buy quite a lot of manga back then - supplied raws - did some QCing - shared drama CDs etc. But life got busy and I haven't really had the time to be active online in any capacity. But life is a bit quieter these days and I've been reading some manga again so I thought I'd say hello and see what these forums are like. Do people even chat on mIRC these days? Does it even exist...? I'm so out of touch. I have a few mangaka that I like: Kodaka Kazuma Miyamoto Kano Suzuki Tsuta Yoneda Kou Yoshinaga Fumi (I'm reading 'What did you eat yesterday?' at the moment.) Mostly my favourite types of stories are about salarymen/adults - not really into school life stories. I like real world/everyday stuff, not really fantasy/supernatural etc. I want to read about reasonably believable characters. I prefer more rough art styles rather than drawing that looks a little too perfect. And I go for romance stories and tense/unrequited love over smut any day. Not that I don't mind some decent smut! But if the plot line is flimsy then I'm probably going to stop reading. If anyone can recommend any good series along these lines, I'm always on the lookout for something I haven't read or a new mangaka I haven't discovered yet. I saw so many Introduction threads that I thought I might as well put myself out here and make one myself to... well, you know, introduce myself. So hello, fellow fans of the fabulous genre that is yaoi. onion1 I am Crimson_Nosebleed, but looking at the title of this thread, I now realise that username is not quite unique, huh... onionn3 But, my mind is rather generic when half-asleep (I made this account last night when I couldn't sleep, by the way).
