I figured out that what you wanna do is open the iso with WinCDEmu and run the setup exe when it prompts you. Then, you just go through it like a normal installer. It'll come up with the game when it's done. Just close it. This is really important... to add on the voices, all you have to do is go into the voice kit folder and click the launcher exe. I think it'll go through like a normal installer and launch the game again. If it says "Version 3.00" in the options bar up top (it previously said "Version 2.00")... it worked successfully! Don't get scared like I did when the protag's internal monologue didn't get voiced. It first comes up when his bossman is talking to him LOL.

I am most likely the only person in the west, or even the planet, to upload this game and its info online to this extent. As you may have noticed from the title... I purchased this game myself. I literally bought this disk and an external disk drive just to pack these files into an iso. I'm solely sharing these files for archival and preservation reasons. If Ishiyama-san somehow found this post and asked me to take the link down... I would. I genuinely respect the fuck out of that woman for making BL games 20+ years ago while she did a full time job. That's insane dedication. I want to keep her work alive, even though it comes from a completely different era and cultural landscape. I think as a creator who worked crazy hard on her games, she should have her work seen and remembered by more people, especially yaoi fans. I'd tell you to support her in some way, but realistically... she's most likely moved on from BL stuff. And she's, from an educated guess, possibly at the least really late 30's, at most 50's by now. Plus, her works being doujin stuff, limited prints of CD-R's, the SSB website being defunct, not even having an online presence that I could find literally at all... it's just not possible anymore. So, I wanted to do this- as some random yaoi fangirl gaijin- to make sure her work doesn’t disappear completely. For installation... open the iso with WinCDEmu and run the launcher exe. I think you go through it like a normal installer. Go to where you installed it, and run the yuyu exe. Should pop up and run just fine! Thankfully for this game, you don't need to have the iso virtually mounted to run it. Once you've installed it, it's OK. Just a note here. Dunno if this'll happen to anyone else. Buuuut... when I test ran the game with my headphones wirelessly, the menu music (and the other music) notably stuttered. But I plugged them into my speaker... and the music was just fine. I have NO freakin' clue why in the world it did this, but it's probably some compatibility or age related whozeewhatsit. Just... if this happens to you, you're not the only one. If you have a fix... You know, I had no clue you could just straight up download this for free... no wonder I couldn't find it anywhere to crack or buy by searching in English! So you won't break Mito Togo's weird little heart by downloading this. There is a QR code for mobile download... whatever that's all about. But... For the Windows version, all you have to do to play is to extract the zip and click the exe to run it. Yep, that's it. I am in progress of playing this game, but lemme warn you... don't even bother trying to use this with Textractor! It's fruitless. I'm using LunaTranslator instead, with a lot of work put in... I think I had to drag an H-Code out of the damn thing by searching for text in game, and I had to turn on and move text processing filters in an anally specific way to make the translation legible. It was a mess before I optimized it best I could! I'm genuinely so thankful LunaTranslator exists! First one is all the filters I have on, and also the order I put them in. Second one is the text hook I got (HVX0@A9E950:裸執事～過去編～.exe). This is what it looks like with short sentences. But with longer ones... Yeah... oh well. At least I can actually read it. Honestly though, if someone finds out a better method for the translation output/filters, don't hesitate to reply here or something. Ah, you know what... I forgot that MangaGamer was gonna try and translate this. But... I think it's been like... what, almost a decade since they announced it? I dunno if there's even enough of a demand for Yarashitsuji & Yasashitsuji in English. Or hell, for even this game. Even fewer people have even played this one. Can't tell you how much money that saved me LOOOL. So massive thank you to them... yaoi game preservation kicks ass! This game is a liiittle bit of a pain of the ass to text hook. If you mainly use LunaTranslator like I do, I'd probably recommend using its OCR feature. Like, it does kinda text hook. But the text is delayed and there's a kadrillion squares because of how the text advances, probably. I dunno. For the installation... since this game is 24 years old, it was made with Comic Player for Windows 95. Windows 95! Damn! LOL. So... I think I just right clicked the Assprun exe then put it in compatibility mode. (Right click > Troubleshoot compatibility > Try recommended settings > click 'Test the program', then it should work) Then you just keep clicking forward, basically. Then the game will come up!

yo! i have a macbook pro so i can't run .exe files, which means i can't even start up most versions of DMMd (originally made just for windows) i find. i've googled DMMd mac downloads and the only one i could find that doesn't require me to jump through a ton of hoops in order to run the game is glitchy as hell (it hurts my eyes after a while) and crashes constantly--i can't even get past the first run-in with virus and trip without it going haywire. i'm aware that there is a program called boot camp that allows one to download windows onto a mac in order to play pc games, but i've heard it takes up a lot of storage space that i don't know i can afford (if that's the best option however... so be it, i guess). are there any mac users who have alternative links or torrents they have experience playing and can recommend?? pre-patched english is preferred, but i can probably find a patch for the japanese version if that's easier :3 if anyone even has any advice for how i can fix the game i already have installed it'd be very much appreciated; i'm not well-versed in coding myself. thank you so much!!
