"Oh come on man, do not make me regret inviting you" Nathan huffed but he smirked to show it wasn't serious at all. It was all in good fun. "Don't think about trying to steal him from me now, he is mine" He teased some more and scrunched up his face in an obviously fake scrunched up face before chuckling when the other let him go. "Yeah, we did fuck with each other a lot when we were working together didn't we..?" He smiled as he looked down at the other. "I would always go off to him about 'that little fucker' getting on my nerves again...And the glitter I swore lived in every crevice of this place forever and in my clothes" He shook his head with a smirk. "And look, I knew I was an asshole back then with some of the stuff and a bit angry, even if I had been going to therapy for awhile then, but I think it was also a much healthier outlet than I have used in the past. But still, sorry for all that shit in the past, even if they were pranks, you do know that right? Love you Nathan" He hummed with a soft smile, giving him a quick peck. "I got to step over there for a bit, it would mean the world if you ended up being friends with Joy. He is a long time friend of mine..If you don't like them, you don't like them I get it but I really do want you to! He is pretty cool, to me at least, when you get to know him. You got me though so I doubt you will have an issue brefriending him" He chuckled before leaving Noah to do whatever he wanted to do with table settings and chatting with the other guests. He talked with people for a little bit, losing track of who he was talking to, focus drifting between conversation and the turkey that was about to be finished any moment now. Everything was going perfectly as far as he could tell! People were talking, no one was punching anyone, Frances was being himself but he seemed to be nice to all the new people even if he was a bit awkward at first. Not everyone was going to be a social butterfly around a bunch of people they havent met before. Noah seemed to be doing good too, smiling warmly to himself in the kitchen before he was carrying out the turkey. It was weird to have so many people he was close to now, following his dreams and living with the best man he could have asked for. Noah was the kind hearted soul he could have come across and he was glad the pieces in his life fell where they did. He couldn't ask for anything more and smiled to himself while people talked for a moment. Hey Mom..wherever you are...you would love to see me now. You would be proud of where I went in life and you would love Noah. Nathan made a toast last after anyone else had a turn to speak, smiling. "Thank you all for coming. I havent celebrated Christmas like this in awhile and I am happy to share it with so many important people in my life that I am close with. To my boyfriend, to my friends new and old, and to all of us having another year and many more to look forward to" He raised his half empty glass of wine with a smile, lingering on Noah for a bit before looking on at the rest of the table. He sat down for a bit to enjoy the dinner with everyone, planning on stepping back into the kitchen in a bit to check on some of the desserts and start getting those ready. For now, he wanted and had to relax for a moment to enjoy the dinner with everyone. "Oh come on now, It's good but not thaaaaat good surely....but yes, almost everything tastes better with butter. It's a wonder how there isn't a nationwide butter shortage" He chuckled, glad the vegetables were gaining favor alongside the other foods. It would have been a shame if anyone hated it but people have different tasted at the end of the day..but he still tried to make all the food perfect with a decent variety so everyone could have something they could eat that they might like at the meal. Nathan had stepped away to grab some of the fridge desserts and find another bottle of wine and sodas. He knew some people drove so he wanted to make sure there were things beyond alcohol but had set aside some funds for people to take taxis but knew the people who were driving were not drinking that much anyway. It was just a good thing to have if he had needed it even if it was unlikely. Nathan, oblivious as ever at some point went to fetch something he had forgot in the fridge. Noah stayed seated, his shoulders a touch tighter, his hands still, like he’d heard enough even if he didn’t understand every word. It had been a few minutes as he was deciding what dessert to bring out first, if any, or just leave it for a little bit longer. Yeah, maybe just the cookies for now and let dinner be finished first before any of the pies. If anyone needed to step out earlier for any reason, he left out some paper plates and tupperware on the counter for people to take leftovers as they pleased. He found some seasonal flavored drinks, sodas, and a wine bottle, coming back into what felt like a tense room for some reason. He raised an eyebrow when Joy nudged him but Noah gave him a silent look. He was not sure what happened in the time that he was gone but it seemed like whatever happened was finished with and settled. He trusted Noah and maybe he would ask about it later if Noah was willing to share about why Adam went off. But he was smiling now so it seemed to be okay enough, whatever it was. "I left the tupperware out if people need to get going or not want to stay too late, pre christmas traffic can be horrendous" Nathan chuckled as there was plenty of food left between the desserts that were just brought out and the leftover dinner foods. Maybe he did go a bit overboard but it was more than enough for them all and for people to have good leftovers for a bit, even if the leftovers were just for Noah and him. "Feel free to take what you want home, even the orgasmic brussel sprouts Adam" He teased Adam with a playful smile, working on an apple pie slice on his own plate.
