——-Haruhi——— “I swear, if it gets any hotter I’m going to live in the freezer!” Haruhi groaned out to Yumro as he came back inside from the garden carrying a large bouquet of sunflowers his thinner white summer dress clinging to his sweat soaked skin as he set his sunhat down on the table, and then the flowers before digging through a cupboard the demon easily pulled out a vase. Setting the flowers in the vase with some cold water he set them on the table before taking his hat and fanning his body. “You think the cold rain we had the other day would give us a break but it’s really just made it more humid than anything. I’m so tiered of taking cold showers every day.” Haruhi added with a small sigh as he dug through the freezer and pulled out a bag of ice instantly resting it on the back of his neck. Unknowing to the poor centaur who hadn’t experienced a heat in forever, his body was being unmerciful…almost unnaturally cruel. Haruhi assumed it was just the heat outside giving him such symptoms…but in reality he was basically oozing intoxicating pheromone’s and in turn he had begun wearing much lighter clothes to combat the heat. He had been ruthless in his choices wearing tight shorts and crop tops that showed more skin to help cool his body down, and well it left little to the imagination~. It hadn’t helped that alongside a new wardrobe, Haruhi had taken up some endurance training classes in his spare time for the last few months…he had strangely become rather energy filled and restless for reasons unknown to himself. In the end he had truly thrived with his new routine and become much more healthy and well…he had become fond of his morning runs and began pushing his endurance to the limits in all areas. “You know we should really do ice baths. I hear they are great for the skin. Haru said he did them when abroad said it sucked but his skin felt so nice afterwards” Haruhi said as finally looked over to Yumro, a sweet smile on his lips followed by a light blush to his cheeks as he took a moment to settle and rest something he rarely done in the last two years his energy only increasing with his health since meeting Lycan. ————Yukie————— “I don’t want you to go…I never ever want you to go…I just….I’m so confused on what I am now….I’m confused on how you see me how….this will be.” Yukie whispered his voice shaking as he spoke as he clung to Julius holding him so close as if he was afraid their world would break. ”…I just want you….I just want to be your mate. To be by your side. I’d give everything up over and over…but I want to know you’re happy with me like this…me without the extras and the excitement.” Yukie asked his voice a touch mournful as he looked at Julius his eyes holding that same calm he had when he came back. “I am happy like this…I just…I’ve never been…me. I’ve always been something bigger and it’s….overwhelming.” Yukie whispered as he gently took Julius’s hand touching it to his chest. “I have changed some….I-I still have some ability to change forms such as body shape and look…I don’t have other demon forms or powers what I can do is extremely limited and exhausting. I…I can still heal and regenerate but….its slow and painful. In the best ways I’m still me.” Yukie explained as he kissed his mates hand ever so gently. “I don’t need to drink blood…or hunt…all I crave is you and your touch.” Yukie admitted with a small smile as he took in his mates scent calming himself so deeply. “I was so worried you would only want the old me…I worried for nothing…” Yukie mumbled as he sighed softly his body relaxing before he picked up Julius and held Julius closer in his arms, having decided to really test a few new theories and things he had in mind to truly settle his fears and worries. ”….mmmmh seems I need some physical reassurance you like all of me.” Yukie stated with a small smirk as he carried Julius back to the bed and within seconds he had him on the mattress and was stripping his shirt off revealing his toned chest to Julius. “…I showed you every form and inch of my old body when we were together…in the end, you learned every inch of my body. I think my teacher soon to be husband should give me a lesson on all of the new parts he likes of this new body. That way I can’t ever think you don’t want me again…” Yukie stated point blank his plan as he looked down at Julius his eyes studying his mate his hand gently rubbing the side of Julius’s cheek. ———Haru———— “To be fair…I’ve only really drank socially. My introduction to drinking has been the occasional aged wines and more then I’d like to admit strong spiced meads.” Haru stated with a blush at the offer of a better drink his mind still internally dissecting the flirty offer of being protected. As Haru accepted the drink he held it gentle in his hand looking at the drink the handsome man’s beside him had carefully picked out making him smiled a little. He couldn’t explain the feelings bubbling inside of him, or the rush of electricity the excited him every time the stranger before him looked over at him. Sipping his drink he couldn’t help the small melodic laugh of amusement that escaped his lips at the taste that was bursting with flavor. “seems I owe you fifty bucks…but…maybe I could convince you to a nice dinner instead?” Haru offered casually trying so hard not to oogle Shan. Suddenly hearing a touch more chaotic chatter Haru looked over to his party that had become a touch more rowdy as they consumed more drinks the sight making Haru visibly cringe at what the endgame for his outing would be. Most likely more drinking and dragged to strange bars until morning. “It would be my treat and I would cover everything….if you would…h-humor me.” Haru added his nerves cracking as he internally was cringing at how bold he was being. Gods how he wished he had some experience with dating let alone how to send the right message. “My-my name is Haruko by the way. I hope…you might let me know yours~ I would like to thank you for the drinks properly.” Haru added trying to quickly move onto another topic his actions screaming (unknowing to him) just how new he was to the social life and well how naive. “Um…as for that.” Haru gestured to the loud and rowdy group. “…well let’s just say…I happened to be dragged out…and I’m just in town for the next two weeks on business matters…hence the army of co workers. This…isn’t my kinda scene.” Haru admitted his cheeks turning an even more adorable shade of pink and he sipped his drink wishing he could just melt into the floor as he rambled unable to stop due to nerves and being such a lightweight. “I mean…..about before I could buy you dinner to pay back for the drinks and…if you want….i could order some drinks to show you what I actually like…and well…if we drink too much at dinner or here… I do have a place to go back to sleep it off. It’s a hotel room it’s quite comfy….” Haru stated his voice suddenly sho shy and embarrassed as he talked trying to find his footing his word spilling it as if he was talking about the weather. Looking back at his glass Haru couldn’t hide the fire red blush on his cheeks from the pure embarrassment and alcohol, as he busied himself studying the drink and fixing a stray hair tucking it behind his pierced ear. Haru was trying so hard to be friendly, charming even….but it was clear he was out of his league with socializing and drowning in his attempt, he hadn’t ever dated let alone he had never let a men know he was interested in them before. He was so shy under Shans eyes the poor man melting in embarrassment and well…an unknown feeling of….love?
