A quiet silence filled the living room. Fang's question sounded so simple...yet it had such a complex answer. For a brief moment he thought back to that night at the circus. At the time, it only made sense to inflict pain onto the people who hurt him and the people he loved. If that wasn't justice...then what was? An eye for an eye. A tooth for a tooth. If he didn't kill them, they would of never faced any consequences for their actions. For the pain, abuse, and torture they caused. And yet...even after killing those people, it didn't make him feel any less pain. It didnt bring May back. It didn't make him happy. It should of, but it didn't. That night he felt a type of grief he couldn't explain, and the world had lost all its colors. [ “I don’t think he was happy,”] Sora's soft voice pulled him back from his thoughts, he bit his lip, aimlessly staring at the ceiling. [ “I think he was… relieved.”] ( Relieved?) Was there even a difference? He listened as Sora explained himself and how everything lead up to that single moment of revenge for the Samurai. [ “That’s not really happiness, is it?”] " I'm...not sure," he muttered. Sora had this ability to calm him down. He soothed him in a way no one else could. In a way..he was his happiness... [ “If all you have is revenge… then even if you win, you’ve still lost everything else.”] " Is that so..." [ “I think it was sad, because he didn’t have anyone waiting for him. No future. Just an ending…I feel sorry for him.”] Fang could feel Sora's fingers pulling and gently clawing at his shirt. He could hear the raw honesty and sincereness in his voice. Soras words hit hard, because he could relate to them. The only difference between him and the samurai in the film was that he lived while the other died. He stopped searching while the other relentlessly pushed forward. He had someone to come home to. He saw the samurai's actions as admirable... Perhaps that is why he was so drawn to Sora, his ability to sympathize with others. His kindness. Fang was drawn to such qualities because he lacked them. " I...see." [ “I don’t think that’s the ending his loved ones would have wanted for him. In a way, he still died with them. Where’s the happiness in that?”] " So...what? You think he shouldn't have seeked out the men who murdered his family? You think his loved ones would want him to just...what...let it go? To forgive and forget?" His boyfriend shifted, moving up and closer to him so they were eye level. Probably because he could hear the irritation in his voice, pain and anger seeping out of him. He bit his lip as Sora cupped his cheeks, forcing him closer as their noses brushed against each other. He let out a low growl, avoiding his gaze. [ “He threw his life away because he thought he had nothing else to live for, That’s loneliness.”] "Sora, the guys life was over the day his family was murdered...what else was he suppo--" Fang fell silent feeling Sora kiss him gently. It was a slow, tender, and soft kiss. One that made all his growing frustration melt away. When the kiss ended, Fang was frowning, looking up at Sora. " What am I suppose to do," he whispered. His hand reaching up to gently brush the back of his hand against Sora’s cheek. He didn't want to think about it. A world were Sora wasn't in it. " Does your kindness have no limits?" His finger brushed across Sora's lip, there eyes locking. "If you were taken away from me," his thumb brushed against Sora's cheek, "What am I suppose to do?" Would Sora want him to move on? Or...would he want him to seek revenge. " What if the roles were reversed...and I was killed...what would you do?" ------------------------------ Asta stared at Leon. He could feel something in his chest tighten as the model burst into laughter. He hadn't heard Leon laugh like that in a very long time. Just the sound of his laughter made him blush. Leon was undeniably beautiful...but his smile...his laugh, they somehow made him even more stunning. He bit his lip as Leon reached over and took his glass of water away from him, placing it on the table. [ "Sorry, sorry I didn’t mean to laugh at you. I was just caught off guard for a moment"] "I-its ok," he muttered. He knew there wasn't any ill intent in his laugher. He stared at there hands, Leon hadn't let it go. He felt his heartbeat in his chest. Leon gently squeezed his hands, offering him a soft smile, this tender moment was brief, because Leon was already pulling away. Asta searched his face, he seemed to be lost in thought, running a hand through his hair, averting his gaze, adjusting himself on the couch. Asta desperately wanted to know what he was thinking. ( He's...really thinking about this...) Even when Leon was thinking...he looked so handsome. "I-if your too busy...I understand," he said softly, lowering his head, trying to hide his disappointment. He flinched feeling Leon catch his chin. The shifter lifted his head up. There eyes met, and Asta felt his heart skip a beat in that very moment. That suddle smirk on his face, already gave him away. [ “You really thought I’d say no?”] Asta froze, there eye contact lasting longer then he expected. Even when Leon released him, Asta didn't move, he watched as Leon seemed to melt in the couch. Whatever tension that had formed in the room was long gone. [ "I would love going on a trip with you anytime"] [ “I belive Leon loves, you. It’s kinda hard to not see.”] Asta recalled his conversation with Sora. In this moment Leon looked so...happy. How long had he been avoiding his feelings? After the incident he pulled away so far and built a wall so high that he purposely hide himself. Did his best to ingore all of Leon's little gestures. His kindness. His patience, because he was scared to fall in love again. For so long he had thought that the Leon he fell in love with...wasnt the same man who he pretended to be. Liam was his real name...and he wasn't human...those lies had come to the surface...but the way Leon treated him. The way he loved him...that hadnt changed. His feelings had always stayed the same. [“I think…You and Leon make sense. If I can put it like that.”] ( Sora...) [ "If there's no love? There's no future"] Asta gripped his shirt, seeking courage. Seeking strength. He never had a hard time speaking his mind until he met Leon. __________________________ " Why is that?" "Why is what?" Asta questioned, staring at the floor. Mrs. Yokohama was a nice lady. She was a excellent listener and she had a way of pulling Asta out of his comfort zone. He had tried two other therapist before her, but she was the only one he liked. She was straight forward but kind and considerate, giving perspectives to both sides of any given situation. " Why do you have a hard time conveying your feelings to Leon," she question, pushing up her square glasses. Asta sighed, thinking for a moment. " I...I dont know. He just makes me nervous. " " In a good way? Or--" "In a good way! He's so talented, and kind. Ive never met anyone like him before...How he seems me...is how I want to see myself. " " Have you told him this? Correct me if I'm wrong but the two of you were once dating. " " D-dating yeah...but we sort of...drifted apart after the accident." "Yes, but hasn't he remained by your side this entire time? Even after your original diagnosis. They said you wouldn't walk again..." "Yes...b-but its not that simple..." "Deary it never is. But what I've come to find out with many of my clients is that, they make things complicated when they don't have to be. Let me ask you this...a few simple yes or no questions. Do you like spending time with Leon?" "Y-yes." "Does being around him make you happy?" "...yes." "Can you see youself dating or being with anyone else?" "No..." " Does the very idea make you feel uncomfortable? "..s-sort of--" "Ah-Ah-Ah, yes or no questions. Im almost done." "Yes." "Do you miss him?" "....yes." "Are you happy with the current state of your relationship. Whatever it might be..." "No..." " Do you want to fix it?" "Yes..." "Do you think he loves you?" "..yes..." "And lastly Asta...Do you love him?" Asta could feel his chest tighting as tears began to fill his eyes. "Yes, he whispered. " Whats so complicated about that? One thing I've noticed about you Asta is they you get your head way too much. At least when it comes to dating. That being said, you have alot of work to do. I suggest you start by telling Leon how you feel. Communication is the very foundation relationships are built upon. " " But I... i don't know...how..." " Hmmm...well...since you have a hard time conveying your feelings...why don't you write him a letter. That way you'll have time to think clearly and get everything off your chest. " "E-even if...I were to tell him... what if nothing changes..." "The first step deary, is trying~" ______________________________ Asta bit his lip, staring at the ground. He took a deep breath before speaking. " G-good! And uh...t-the second thing I wanted to talk about was...uh...L-letters!" ( I can't tell you in person...I'll just freeze up..or get embarrassed...or say the wrong thing..) "I want us too- write a letter to each other." ( Please... bare with me...there's so much I want to tell you but I'm...n-not as honest as you...you always know what to say...and you alway look so cool saying it...I dont want to say the wrong thing...I want to tell you...how I feel...) Asta quickly explained. Telling Leon how this was an dear from his therapist. A way to talk about his feelings without stumbling over his word. But part of him was curious as to what was on Leon's mind too. Surely there were things he wanted say, get off his chest. Perhaps this could be the catalyst they needed to mend their relationship...
