“I told you I would be staying for a while.” Yukie grumbled in a more sarcastic way than usual as he snuggled even more into Kai’s arms enjoying the warmth and comfort. “I said I would cook and clean, that means three meals a day. You can expect to come home to dinner most nights if your able.” Yukie mumbled as he blushed a deep red that raced up his ears the man feeling foolish for putting so much effort into dinner tonight to impress Kai. It wasn’t like they were dating. Even if Yukie wanted that life, he wasn’t ready yet, he wasn’t able to ask for such a thing from Kai. Yukie wanted to wait until he was more settled, till he had really stayed around awhile and he could prove himself to Kai as a partner. Snuggling even more into Kai’s arms Yukie looked up at him hesitantly from the safety of Kai’s arms unsure of how to broach the next subject. “….Kai…you um…well you could come with me if you want. I’ll pay for us to eat our meals on the go…and…even get...a hotel room if the doctor’s tests run late and we are too tiered to make the trip back.” Yukie offered as he blushed neon red the man nervous about offering to let Kai come on such a personal trip. Before now Yukie hadn’t even let Kai know if he was alive, let alone where he was. To let him know such things now showed that he was trying to let him in to let Kai know he truly meant something to Yukie. ”I mean if you want, I could always ask Miskha if you’re to busy…I know your busy lately with work and I don’t want to keep you from that I…it’s okay if you can’t come I know your tied up a lot since your there so late.” Yukie added as he embarrassingly rambled on feeling so much unease asking. It didn’t help Yukie was floundering on what he really knew about Kai. Yukie just assuming this was Kai’s normal work schedule since before now Yukie hadn’t paid much attention to Kai’s schedule being to drunk or drugged to really care about anything than sleeping and eating at times. ************************************** Haruhi groaned as he laid on the floor the man having instantly fallen asleep after the long trip home. Looking at the ceiling he sighed as he listened to the soft settling of the house. It was the weekend, it was almost after finals and he would be free for four months. All he had was his testing to do today and he would have time to rest and some downtime. Maybe he would travel abroad take a trip to learn more on medicine. Getting up slowly Haru groaned as he held his head and made his way to the couch finding it much more comfortable than the floor as he curled up on it and proceeded to stare at the clock on the wall. Four hours till he needed to leave. He needed to eat, shower and pack. He couldn’t be late and the injury needed hidden and cared for. He couldn’t just give up now. -Later that day- Groaning at the weight of his bags Haru carried in his medical duffle bag and two big bags of snacks and a bag full of alcohol. Setting it down on the coffee table he worked for an hour cleaning and organizing before setting out his takeout. Flopping down on the floor he sighed and opened his drink and took a sip. Letting out a deep sigh Haru chuckled the man quite happy to be stress relieved. ”if your somewhere in the house you can join me for dinner and drinks. Maybe you can water my one plant while I’m gone if you need something to do? Hell maybe I’ll get ya a goldfish for when I’m gone.” Haru called out with amused laughter and a touch of underlying loneliness. Haru truly believed that when the mystery man said he was watching him it was a more I’m living in the walls kinda deal. “Walls have got to be way to stuffy, ac has been off all day.” Haru said as he loosened his tie and opened up his food pushing around the vegetables before eating a few bites realizing just now how hungry he had been skipping meals all day.

Kai stood in his bedroom doorway, suprised that Yukie was here....but he didnt really have time to process it all, because a phone started to ring. The sound actually surprised him, snapping him out of it. He watched as Yukie woke up, slowly sitting up and answering whoever was calling him. It was late...and Kai couldn't help but think...it was a customer...or his boss. Was that a new phone? The two made eye contact, but Kai only nodded and disappeared into the bathroom to shower, giving Yukie some privacy. He didnt want to ease drop. Ten minutes later, Kai returned. His brown hair damp. He was wearing black basketball shorts but no shirt. He was actually very muscular, but you wouldn't notice it since he always wore baggy clothes. He had natural abs...and smooth looking skin. It seemed Yukie had finished his phone call but he didn't know what to say...so he simply climbed into the bed, laying on his side, facing Yukie. He was still sitting on the edge of the bed, looking tired and acting more distant than usual. He watched as Yue unlocked his new pink phone, placing it in front of him. [“I don’t have your number anymore. I changed phones…”] Kai knew Yukies number by heart. Had it memorized... " Sure..." he muttered. Taking the phone and adding his number to his contacts... putting his first and last name as well as something else. In the contacts, you could add notes underneath the name. So Kai took the liberty of added a little note. ( come home ) Simple...but if he wrote how he truly felt...Yukie might never come back. So this would have to be enough...for now.... he'd see it at some point...some day. When he finished he handed the phone back to Yue. "You re-died your hair....it looks nice..." He said softly. Watching Yukie cover himself with a blanket, avoiding eye contact. [ ”I’m sorry I didn’t call…I was…talking to Miskha. About my contract, about what I owed and the trouble I caused. I paid him back in full for the issues, and I’ll pay you back what I owe you.”] Kai turned his back to Yue, pulling the covers over him and crossing his arms underneath the sheets. " Don't worry about it...it wasn't a loan..." his tone soft. [ “…I-I was talking to a doctor just now…not a client…"] The fact that Yukie felt the need to clarify this to him made him happy....but he'd never admit it. They weren't together....so he didnt owe him an explanation. And yet...he was relieved. "...okay..." [ "Just to get a full checkup. I’ll have to travel tomorrow but I’ll make you lunch before I go.”] "You don't have to do that Yue...I just want you to take care of yourself..." He said softly. A long moment of silence fell between them... But Kai knew Yukie well. He sighed and slowly turned around, facing him once again. He looked worried...scared...as if he rejected him. Did he seriously think he'd be mad at him? " I'm cold..." He opened up his arms, "come closer..." This was his way of telling Yukie that everything was ok. That he wasn't upset...actually...it was pretty hard to make him upset....When Yue got closer, he wrapped his arms around him firmly, pulling him in. " If I knew you were here waiting for me.. I would of gotten here sooner..." He whispered. Nuzzling into him. ________________________________ Sett had left the hospital shortly after Haruhi escape while Sho stayed in the parking lot. He took a nap in his car, he jad been up for over 24 hrs, and fatigue had hit him hard. By the time he woke up and entered the hospital to chcek on Haruhi he found out that the red head left hours ago. "Little shit..." He groaned in irritation, running a hand through his hair. He pulled out his phone to make a call. " ...He left..." he muttered. He wasnt sure what to do now, so he called Sett for guidance. "What'd mean left?" "I mean, he left. Apparently he snuck out the hospital last night without being discharged. " Sett laughed into the phone, which pissed Sho off. He bit his lip, checking the time, 7:48am. He sighed into the phone, waiting for an answer. "I'm suprised you find this so funny." "Hahaha...I find it funny that Haru hasn't changed... he's still hard headed, like me~" "...wonderful..." " I'll send someone else over to check on him. He probably went back home...take the day off. We'll talk again soon. "
