... Sora hadn’t expected Asta to explode like that. But looking back, maybe he should have. Of course Asta felt betrayed. How could he not? Sora had kept secrets from him too. And now, standing in the aftermath of it all, Sora couldn’t help but wonder: was he really any better than Leon? He was grateful to Fang for stepping in, for pulling him out before he said something he couldn’t take back. Not that he really had any idear of what yo say to him. In the silence that followed, Sora sat motionless in the wheelchair, his hands limp in his lap. His chest felt tight, and the dull throb of his broken rib flared again, as if echoing the weight in his heart. Fang had warned him not to come. Maybe he'd seen this outcome long before he did. But even now, even after everything, Sora was glad he’d gone. Seeing Asta, even in that fragile state, had brought a strange kind of comfort. At least he knew Asta was getting the care he needed. That counted for something. At some point, Sora felt the warmth on his skin and looked up. To realize they were outside, in a small garden right in the middleof the hospital. The kind of place set aside for patients to go smoke or get some fresh air. Right now, though, it was just him and Fang. The gentle breeze stirred the leaves, and for a moment, everything felt still. Fang came around and kneeling down to his level, wrapping away a tear Sora hadn't noticed the tears running downhis cheeks. Sora rubbed his eyes in his sleeve roughly. He wasn’t gonna let himself cry. Not cause of this. He hated Fang always saw him crying. He insisted he wasn’t as weak as Fang though him to be. Honestly Sora had stopped crying years ago, when he'd realized crying didn’t help anything. When he finally spoke, his voice was low, but steady. “I’m okay,” he said, more to Fang than to himself. “I mean… not great, but I’m not falling apart.” He shifted slightly in the wheelchair, trying to find a position that didn’t aggravate his ribs. “I knew it could go that way. I didn’t expect it to be easy, and I don’t blame him for how he reacted either. But.. I'm still glad he is here, ever if it’s to yell at me. Honestly I would have done the same had it been the other way around." Sora forced himself to smile. After a bit of silence Sora asked him. "Fang.. can't we just go home. I'm sick of this place" He asked. Not really sure which of their homes he was referring to. He just didn’t wanna stay in a hospital. He could recover at home just fine if the doctor would just let him leave. And it properly wasn't wise to visit Asta again for the time being. ----------------------------- Leon felt the world slow the moment Asta screamed. The sound sliced through the room, raw and unfiltered rage, pain sharpened into betrayal. And even though it wasn’t directed at him this time, it hit Leon like a punch to the chest. He didn’t move at first. Didn’t breathe. Just watched Sora’s face crumple beneath the weight of Asta’s words, watched Fang react without hesitation and safety rolling Sora out of the room, before anyone could make the damage worse. And then… silence the second the door shut behind them. Asta’s angry voice still lingered in the air. Leon looked at him, but he didn’t need to see his face to feel the storm unraveling within the human. It was thick and suffocating. Leon said nothing at first. He just sat forward in the chair, elbows resting on his knees, hands clasped together, gaze low. His own thoughts were loud, clashing like thunder behind his calm facade. Deliberately slow, Leon inhaled and exhaled. To make sure to help ground himself. He wasn’t going to make excuses on anyones behaves. Wheh Leon finally talked, he spoke in the quiet softly voice, like trying not to spook a wounded animal. “…You’re allowed to be angry.” He paused, the guilt tightening in his throat, forcing him to swallow it down. “That’s on me. All of it.” His hands clenched. The his insides felt uncomfortable, at his own weakness, at his failure. But Leon didn’t shove it down, because he deserved it. He placed his hand on the bed beside Asta, not moving to touch Asta, just making the other feel hd was the while giving him the space the respect it Asta needed. His voice became stronger, but was still gentle. “No one is against you Asta.” His gaze remained steady on the other. “You can scream. Hate me. Break down. Or tell me to go to hell. I’ll take it. All of it. But I mean what I say. I'm not leaving and I'm done hidding things from you. I know you can't trust me now. But I will earn it back, every damn day." There was a pause. "You’re a healthy young man, Asta.” Leon continued. “You’ve got a body and a spirit that doesn’t know how to quit, even if you think it does right now. You’re going to walk out of here soon." Leon’s gaze softened, the next words holding a deeper warmth to them. “You’re going to get back on that field. I know that’s where your heart is. Football is your dream. Your fire. And I know you still got that fight deep in you" He paused, his jaw clenching slightly. “I know this feels like the end. Like maybe everything you were working for just got ripped out from under you. But it’s not. You’re still in the game, Asta. This injury, it’s not gonna be your final play. It’s just halftime.” Leon leaned back slightly, exhaling slowly, collecting his thoughts before continuing. “You’re gonna heal. You’re gonna train harder than ever. And one day, you’re going to step back onto that field. Not just because you can, but because no one could've stopped you.” He gave a faint, humorless smile. “And when that day comes, I’ll be there. Probably yelling too loud from the stands. Embarrassing the hell out of you.” There was a shift in the weight of the room. “I believe in you. I'll fight for you until you find your spark again.” @Sosuke0549

Fang smirked seeing Sora's reaction. He found his pouting rather cute. [“I said I’d kiss you, Not that you could steal my thunder.”] He muttered, but Fang heard him with no trouble at all. He rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone, checking the time. It was late...and Sora wasn't going to be getting better any time soon, he'd have to miss a few days of work. [“Unbelievable,” ] ( He's being his bratty self...) He thought. Taking it as a good sign that perhaps Sora was feeling better. Silence fell between them again but Fang didn't leave his spot. One hand was holding Sora's while the other held his phone. Fang was in the middle of texting his manger from the club when he felt a shift in Sora's mood. The human ran his thumb across his hand... saying his name. Fang closed his eyes for a few seconds, as if needed to mentally prepare himself for what's to come. He then put his phone down and turned to Sora, giving him his full attention. Sora's playful expression and tone had vanished. He looked more serious...anxious. He avoided his gaze. [ “I meant what I said earlier.... About Asta.”] Fang sighed heavily, his free hand rubbing the back of his neck in slight irritation. " wow...that was fast...so much for later..." He muttered. He knew this was going to be a difficult conversation to have....but with Sora in the hospital he wanted to avoid any unnecessary arguments or drama. The last thing he wanted to do was stress Sora out when he should be recovering. [ “He’s like family to me. Always has been. And I know things are complicated now. I know he is dating some supernatural being. I know it’s dangerous.”] " You know...You know...But...?" He said with a hint of frustration in his voice. [ “You’re probably thinking I’m reckless or selfish. But I don’t care. I think you know what having people important to you is like.”] Fang frowned hearing Sora's words. The human was behaving selfishly...but...Fang wasn't suprised by this...this was a rather common trend for Sora. It was a character flaw that he hated but accepted... " I like the subtle manipulation..." He muttered under his breath. Turning away. Sora sighed saying that he understood why he wanted protect him but that he shouldn't prevent him from caring about his friend. That Asta was precious to him. " I never told you to stop caring about him. I did as you asked...I put myself in a compromising situation in order to save someone I don't know and quite frankly, don't care about." He pulled his hand away from Sora. When Sora got injured and told Fang to behave...he did. When Sora told him to leave his side and rescue Asta dispite his own desires. He did. He put his life on the line, throwing himself into a dangerous situation that he had no connection too, going in blindly! He was injured, in pain, and sleep deprived because of it...And still....Sora wasn't seeing the big picture. He seemed more concerned about Asta and their relationship than their own and because of it...Fang felt a peg of anger and jealousy in his chest. " Who's more precious to you?... Me...or him." He flinched feeling Sora touch his face, pulling him back and looking into his eyes. That peg of anger suddenly fading as the human brushed a lock of his hair away from his face. Sora was precious to him... and no one else compared. [ “You don’t always have to be the strong one, you know,” ] Fang’s eyes widened ever so slightly. His words striking a cord. [ “You don’t have to carry everything on your own.”] Sora's voice was soft as he whispered this, it cracked as he pressed on. [“Let me protect you too, Fang. Even if it’s just little things, like your worries”] In that moment...Fang saw a sudden flash from his past. A sudden memory that he had buried deep inside himself. Ever since that day....Fang was in survival mode... Protecting himself. Protecting his sister. Protecting the orphanage. His home. Job. Life. Even protecting and coming Ace's rescue. And now...he was protecting Sora. Fang couldn't remember the last time someone tried to protect him. The mere thought made him sick to his stomach. Was it his parents?....His sister?.... How could a mere human...ever protect him?! Sora was in a hospital bed with multiple fractured ribs that would takes weeks to heal?! Even if this was Sora's attempt to comfort him, it only irked Fang, because the idea was extremely foolish and irrational. The only person that could protect them was him... " Don't. " He quickly removed Sora's hand. Not wanting to be touched. A new and stronger wall beginning to form between them. "You make it sound like I'm in the wrong for doing the most logical and rational thing. You just answered my question......." It was clear...Asta was more precious to him than Fang...and this truth stung. Sora immediately tried to lighten the mood. Telling Fang, ' it's not like that' and ' your taking this the wrong way' but Fang didn't care to hear it. " Whatever..." He pulled away, removing himself from Sora's bed and returning to the chair by his bed side. His eyes a little hollow as he withdrew within himself, adding blocks to a new wall between them. A undeniable silence fell between the two of them...a heavy and uncomfortable weight in the air. This was not the time to make a joke...but Sora, feeling the need to break the silence. [ “…You’re still a terrible kisser, though.”] Fang made no physical expression to Sora's comment. He tossed his head back, staring up at the ceiling. He knew Sora was trying to tease him...but Fang was upset...and no amount of playful banter was going to suddenly fix this. " Then I won't kiss you anymore.." His voice rather cold and dry. He slowly stood and headed straight for the door. " I need some air..." He muttered, before slamming the door behind him. ___________________________________ Next day. Fang wasn't suprised when Sora asked to see / visit Asta. They were in the same hospital, but Fang was hesitant. Both of them were still recovering and even though they were in a hospital... that didn't necessarily mean they were safe. The shapeshifters that attacked Asta in order to get to Leon had gotten away... they were still out there.. and what if they returned at some point to finish the job? Asta was vulnerable...unable to run or escape, let alone move...in Fang's mind, this was a rather decent opportunity for an attack...and Fang didn't want Sora anywhere near Asta or Leon. Not to mention he wasn't sure what Asta new...let alone his mental state. Of course, Fang wasn't able to explain this to Sora...and a simple spark of miscommunication turned into a wild fire of arguments. " GO HOME!" Fang’s body tensed up hearing Sora raise his voice and practically order him to go home. Sora was his mate...but also...a type of master...and the human had a level of control over him, that he probably didn't understand. Fang had the urge to listen to Sora's demand...but also defy it. His instincts on high alert. He didnt want to leave his side. Even if they were fighting... he was injured and vulnerable. Sora argued that he wanted to see Asta with his own two eyes. To make sure he was still alive. This triggered a new fuse within the werewolf. Did he not believe him? Were his words and the wounds on his body not enough proof?! What about the nurses feedback?! Fang struggled to keep his composure, and reluctantly gave in, mostly because he didn't want to put more stress on Sora's body. Things between them were already off...he didn't want to make things worse. Sora's health and recovery was his main priority. So he'd have to set aside his feelings for now. When the two humans finally reunited, Fang stayed out of their conversation and space...his focus was more on what was going on around them. ["Sora! You're ok! Y-your... your ok..."] Fang watched the two hold hands from the corner of his eyes. Feeling the sudden shift in Sora's emotions...this saddened Fang... Sora was already going through enough...he shouldn't have added more to it... Asta looked worse off than Sora. Fang could tell that the human was weak, and exhausted. The bruises were changing colors, his eyes sunken and swollen from crying. He couldn't even bring himself to talk about what happened... The trauma he endured was now engraved in him. He reeked of misery and despair. [ “I know, me too…”] In a single day...both of there lives had suddenly changed...and both had faced difficult and life altering truama. There was no pretending like everything was ok... Fang felt a tug on his heart...Sora was fighting back tears.... ( This is why...I wanted you to wait...) He thought to himself. To Fang's suprise, Asta took a moment to thank him for rescuing him. Fang wasn't use to people thanking so...he wasn't quite sure how to respond at first. So he simply told Asta to forget about it. That he didnt owe him anything. Fang had no interest in Asta...but for some reason. That simple thank you had reached him. Was it because of Sora? The tone in the room quickly shifted to Leon. As Sora laid eyes on the man responsible for this mayhem. [ “…So? What are you going to do about this?”] Fang glanced over at Leon....curious. What was he going to do about this? Asta bit his lip feeling the tension in Sora's hand. He squeezed it quickly. "S-sora...i-its ---" But his friend cut him off. Continuing his verbal assault. [ “All of this. You just gonna sit there and hope it all works out? Or do you actually have a plan, Leon?”] A plan? Asta looked back at Leon, unable to defend him, because he himself wanted to know. What was the plan? Did one even exist? Leon's demeanor was grim, as he leaned forward, resting his arms on his knees. His plan was to stay. To stay by Asta's side. To help him everyday. Sora wasn't content with this, he pressed on, questioning who and what Leon was. That he left Asta in the dark. This comment seem to really hurt his feelings and Asta saw Leon's body swift. Asta turned back to Sora, trying to calm him. "Sora...p-please...---" [ "We haven't talked about that yet. But he has a rough idea of me."] Asta frowned, hanging his head. Asta knew Leon wasn't human...but he wasnt fully aware of the supernatural world yet. He was definitely behind the learning curb. But what surpised Asta and Fang were Sora's next words: [ “Then do better. Not because of your guilt. Not to ‘make it up.’ Do it because he needs someone who’s not gonna disappear when it gets hard.”] "S-sora.." Asta felt his eyes begin to sting. Yes, the two of them were childhood friends, he knew Sora cared about him...but to see Sora so upset for his sake really moved Asta. He was grateful to have a friend that loved and cared about him and wasnt afraid to fight for him. This was a quality Asta wished he had. He admired Sora's fighting spirit. Fang continued to observe...taking notice of the growning tensions in the room. Sure Sora was angry and rightfully so..but what really caught Fangs attention was the feeling of fear that wasnt his own... deep down...Sora was scared for his friend. What came next was Leon admitting his failure and taken full accountability for his actions or lack thereof. But Leon made it clear to everyone in the room that he wasn't leaving and that no one was going to take Asta away from him again. Sora seemed to reluctantly accept this response...while Leon looked at Fang, only to give him a look that could only be translated as: 'how do you deal with him?' Fang only smirked and shrugged his shoulders. Sora had a tendency to drive him crazy too...but he liked his fiery spirit. Fang might of helped Leon... but it was because Sora had asked him too...and...he wanted to get back at the shifters who hurt him. In all reality Leon was the reason why Sora was in the hospital. That was enough of a reason to hate him... and not trust him. [ “I’m going to stay, No matter what.”] Asta only glanced at Leon, unable to keep eye contact with him, let alone fake a smile. He couldn't even nod...because his future just felt so uncertain and the countless lies that Leon had given him...or the truths he with held, had shattered the very foundation of their relationship. Leon would have to work towards Asta's trust and forgiveness. [ "I suspiced something but I honestly don’t know anything...] Asta blinked, looking slightly confused...he let Sora continue. [" I thought about telling you but I just didn’t know what to say to make you belive me. You wouldn’t have thought I was sain if I suddenly told you your boyfriend might be more than what he seemed to be."] Asta stared at Sora for a long moment. And thats when he suddenly remembered...the day Sora skipped classes and pulled his boyfriend aside to have a private conversation. The day that completely blind sided him. The day he found out Sora and Leon new each other. The day he was fully excluded from their conversation...was this....it? Both of them had been acting suspicious that day...It suddenly all clicked for him. "You..knew?" Asta suddenly pulled his hand back, keeping it close to his chest. "Y-you knew! YOU KNEW! And you didnt tell me either?!" ( Why?! WHY DOES EVERY BODY FEEL THE NEED TO PROTECT ME?!) He felt like he was about to snap. "G-get out...please just leave." He covered his face in despair feeling hot tears behind his eyes...a new betrayal that he needed to process. But when he heard Sora's voice, he screamed, "GET OUT!" He didn't want to hear excuses...he didnt want to hear any more lies. Not now...not when his mental state was struggling to keep up with the reality of his life and emotions fluctuating rapidly. Fang immediately intervened. He covered Sora's mouth with his hand quickly saying, "Time to go..." He gave a slight nod to Leon before quickly rolling Sora out of the room. _________________________________________ Fang sighed taking a moment to approach Sora. He had rushed the human out of Asta's room and taken him to the Hospital garden. This would give Sora a chance to get some fresh air, see some sunlight, and chnage his environment to a slightly more positive one. Fang knelt in front of Sora, wanting to be eye level with him as he reached out and caught one of Sora's tears with his finger. " This is what I was trying to protect you from...he's emotionally unstable... not that I blame him... give him time..." Fang said softly. Wanting to provide some sort of comfort. @M-jow

Kaito was looking for his bag in the room when the other turned and said he could offer him a safe place temporarily and it would be foolish to reject the protection of a werewolf. his protection? …. no one is safe around me … so why would I want to put others in danger … he seems good in what he's doing an all, but I already have blood of my hands with Noahs death being my fault, I don't need the death of a werewolf. "Thanks for the offer but ...uhm... fuck! Have you seen my bag?" he asked frustrated that he couldn't find his bag. "A grey with green stripes rucksack. I had it at Noahs place. Have you seen it? Do you know where they put my stuff?" he asked turning to look at him feeling a little dizzy from the agitation that he looked around but he managed to keep himself steady on his legs.
