Though, considering Yukie had mentioned a gift, Yumro suspected this particular creature was less Haru's doing and more the work of an indulgent grandparent spoiling his grandson. "It's a good thing I bought half a forest for our backyard," Yumro remarked, a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Yumro crossing his arms. "But you'll have to clear it with the school's headmaster first, before you start bringing it to school." Yumro chuckled. "Although I don't imagine that'll be too difficult if you play your cards right." Yumro nodded toward Yukie. "Considering he's dating your grandpa, I'd say you've already got an advantage."

And in their own way, they were proof of Fang’s strength, proof that he had survived hardships no one ever should have had to face. Sora couldn’t hate them. In their own right they were beautiful. Gently, Sora traced some of the smaller scars with the tip of his finger, absently counting them as he wondered whether he should wake Fang or let him sleep a little longer.
