Haruhi in turn settled more and was accepting of his change more so than one might believe he always said it was just the look in Haru’s eyes. That if he had refused it would have been too cruel to keep Haru caged. Haruhi had taken a week to mourn after Haru left it was only natural he would find grief in such a change. When Shan eventually left the nest needing to spread his own wings it had been hard also. He took a few weeks, blubbering on and off while missing Shan but so proud of all he was doing. Haruhi had always found music to be such a balm to the soul so how could he not want Shan to pursue such a beautiful passion. His only ask was to call once a week and write any music recommendations Shan had fallen in love with. While Haruhi during this time cried and was extra emotional, well…unknowingly to himself he had been a bit too busy with his fun time with Yumro. Their spicy life had been rather fun over the years~ so much so that well…..some things would be bound to happen eventually. So Yukie didn’t, instead he just existed along side Julius. He joined his mate some days at work, other days he stayed home feeling too tiered to do much. On those days he took Julius out to eat or offered a casual date in. The days he felt normal felt like himself he would ask endless questions about what Julius did, what he taught to his students. Julius’s world was something he was still so passionate about understanding. ——-1 month later—— The first month home Yukie had looked at Julius just admiring him as they slept in their cozy bed. He had found himself unable to sleep some night afraid he wouldn’t see his mate beside him…he was truly unable to exist without Julius most days. Their first month back together had really been full of making up for those six months away and work. It had been mostly days and nights when alone filled full of passion and desire…then they would switch to routines and figuring out their new life of just them. This kind of life full of passion and well…a life without expectations… was something Yukie hadn’t ever got to ever experience before…it only made sense Yukie had become rather greedy in his new life truly enjoying such a life with Julius. Yukie still visited his family more often that he used working to build and repair his bonds with his kids, he of course stopped by weekly as promised keeping his word on growing closer with his kids and grandkids. But, well…when all was said and done Yukie was quite happy to throw all of his other demon social events away and have Julius all to himself and he did just that. Outside of wedding planning, and casual visiting the school, Yumros family and his twins, Yukie was instantly dragging Julius off (when he wasn’t busy with work) to adore him. Yukie had six months to make up for after all~. —-2nd month—- It wasn’t until the second month where Yukie had gotten up one morning before Julius and was sitting at the table a warm cup of tea in his hands as he stared at the gloomy sky watching the rain fall against the glass a chair pulled out beside him for his mate to sit in for this talk. Yukie had sat in silence for so long that morning, just watching the rain fall his tea left untouched almost as if it was a comfort item. His voice was tiered when he finally talked with Julius….explaining what he had given up. The conversation was hard and terrifying, he wasn’t able to do what he had he was only able to physically change his body such as basic physical attributes. He couldn’t change forms or anything powerful like he use to. He was powerless in his mind, but he didn’t regret it. He had done the right thing. It had been a long talk a hard one but once done he had asked Julius to reconsider and think about his feelings again. Yukie had changed and it might make Julius feel different about him. He would accept if he didn’t want to continue….if he felt differently about him. (plan on doing the wedding parts and making their part a little more drawn out lol. The catching them up.) —————————————————— (16 years later) Haru had set out at fifteen, right after finishing all school had to offer him. He had tried to stay tried to make sense of who he was at home where he should exist what he was…but it was suffocating…Haru couldn’t help his need for a larger world, he couldn’t control his deeper instincts, his need to leave and find his own place or roam forever if that’s what he needed. It was just out of the blue the morning it happened….he just looked at Haruhi…he looked at Yumro….and….he knew somehow he knew….they could just see how much it was killing him to stay, to keep himself so grounded and in check in this life. He hadn’t wanted to hurt them leaving…he had told them that morning…he knew it would be so painful for the family to leave again but…he just needed to run, to move, to exist in a place of his own where he could learn his full powers to grow and figure out who and what he was meant to really be. Haruhi was so quiet when Haru had come back to where his parents were sitting…holding only a small packed bag. Haruhi could only get up and open a closet cupboard and hand Haru a smaller packed bag, the bag saying it was fine…they would be fine. It was Haruhi’s way of giving Haru something to survive off of…food, money, medicine. A gentle show of understanding and acceptance as he took Yumros hand while giving it to Haru not once letting his mates hand leave his Haru accepted it. Haru taking it said his goodbyes, then…he packed his room….leaving nothing behind. At the time Haru had tucked it away in a pocket space leaving a bare and empty room behind that he knew his parents could fill one day. Haru said his…goodbyes to Shan…that goodbye hurt the most…he…he couldn’t say much more without the painful lump in his throat and stomach suffocating him…so Haru left Shan one of his favorite plants on his bedroom dresser…and walked out the whole experience ending just at sunset. —- Haru would text weekly after he left sending updates and pictures here and there. He would text Shan and call often but….as time passed and eventually months turned into years. Haru sadly wouldn’t see Shan again only sending letters or texts here and there but even those stopped. It couldn’t be helped the sudden change in keeping up with each other. The times when Haru did visit it was sporadic, Haru could never kept to a set visiting time when he came back home. In turn it had become hard to plan anything for them to meet up for the first half of his time away. when Haru did start to settle down and build his own home much like Yukie had. He made an effort to stop by once a month. Then sometimes for the holidays or when he was casually in the area he would settle his house down and stay for a week at most before leaving sadly still missing Shan by a hair. It was truly hard for Haru to stay longer, his work and thirst for knowledge kept him busy. Despite Haru not taking over for Yukie…he had become well known in the demon society. It was obvious in his abilities and his powers he was more like Yumro and (the Retired) Yukie, than one would understand. Haru had made a name for himself that was highly respected, he had taken true effort to figure himself out and with Yumros guidance he held his own in the demon world and human world’s spotlights. Yet…in a sort of bubble world different than one he had learned to grown up in, Haru had found ways here and there to ground himself, and he had grown more accustomed to slipping into society unnoticed and unrecognizable yet still Haru if one knew how to look for him. Tonight was no different. Haru had been pulled out of his home to a bar by some fellow acquaintances. Haru had refused since he had groaned and bitched the whole way there. He really wasn’t a fan of clubs or bars or heavy areas of humans and demons alike, but he was trapped he had refused a birthday party…25th to be exact and well he had run out of excuses. Looking at the scene laid before him he was somewhat grateful he had put one something decent and had dealt with his hair before being dragged out. The deep curls he had grown into had been managed effortlessly into a beautiful work of art tonight. Haru’s hair fell down in a memorizing wave almost to the middle of his back, those rich blood red curls sat loosely against his black shirt as he folded his arms scanning the room his body having become rather toned and muscular from his work. The fiery red hair only shimmered slightly under the change of light as Haru watched his group run off to order drinks and socialize, leaving Haru behind as he shook his head amused by their eagerness to find partners for the night. Haru was grateful they had chose to let him get a drink first as his request for joining their fun. Haru completely understood the desires of his acquaintances, but…his plan was to become so occupied in random conversations tonight he would have no space or chance to be dragged out to dance and mingle by his acquaintances. Settling down at the bar as quick as he could Haru ordered a glass of wine and looked over at the live music. He was given the glass shortly only to catch one he took the drink in hand that, he was sitting right next to a complete stranger in the only non crowded chair in the room. He hadn’t even asked…. Hell it didn’t help that the chair in question, well it was next to a rather breathtaking man. ”ah, I’m so sorry for intruding…..” haru started his voice deep and rich as he spoke. “ I beg…possibly you could take pity on me and allow me to hide out here for a moment?” Haru asked gentle as he looked at the man before him secretly admiring his light purple eyes that shone like a precious gem. ”I fear if I don’t at least sit near someone…I’ll be forced to mingle and dance…and truth be told…I’ve been forced to mingle against my will tonight despite my party’s absence.” Haru dryly joked as he awkwardly sipped his drink trying to socialize in some way, yet it was only proving just how disastrous continuing this social event throughout the night with other strangers who inevitably would be with drunken acquaintances would end up being.
