It was the first curse word Shan had ever spoken. And somehow... Coming from him, with his soft expression and gentle voice. It sounded almost impossibly innocent. The sheer absurdity of hearing Shan swear was enough to catch anyone off guard. Hopefully... even Haru. The one person he wished to would laugh "I can always get another shirt." He reached over and gently rested his arms around Haru's shoulder. "But there's only one you." A warm smile spread across his face. "You're my best friend, Haru. And best friends help each other. No matter what." His voice became firm. "So stop telling yourself you aren't enough. Because you are. You are stronger than you realize. Kinder than most people. Incredibly intelligent. So brave. And when you decide you want something...You never stop fighting for it." Shan's smile brightened. "I may not get the whole picture it, but although it looks kinda dumb and bad, and it's okay to feel as you do now. Just know that someday it wouldn't be like this" The shadow boy encouraged Haru. Telling him he was allowed to feel sad and hurt, but that it wouldn't be like this forever. That Haru had so many talents and potential to do whatever he decided on in the future. "You are my favorite person in the whole wide world Haru. And nothing will ever change that, I believe in you."
