do you know any manga with unusual plot?

I'm really bored: when you think about it most of bl mangas have the same (or similar) plot. That's why usually I choose mangas whose art is very good (but that's just for the love of art:)).

 

I've got this feeling that there aren't lot of manga with some unusual, extraordinary plot. So... do you know something strange:)?? I would love to check it out:D

Well an unusual plot... I think Chintsubu is a manga with a really special plot/ story

that's a good question! so far, I haven't read something with an extraordinary plot... maybe Cute Devil by Madarame has a really strange uke but the plot is ordinary, though...

i recommend yuutsu na asa and hana wa sakuka by hidaka shoko if u havent read it

also the mangaka yoneda kou...i think her plots are not that ordinary like the latest saezuru tori wa habatakanai

Well if you are talking about unusual as in strange, Miyamoto Kano has some unusual yaoi. Boy Next Door is about the a serial kill, Nemureru Tsuki is about a man who is cursed to die young (has time travel), Night Walk - a journalist, porn star, haunted house, and a kid who is an alien.

Jigoku Meguri is about a civil servant who works in hell. Sex Pistols is about people who evolved from animals other than monkeys. Perfect XXX isn't really strange but has an out of the ordinary plot line. It's about a perverted pitcher who is obsessed with his catcher (yes that is a metaphor).

 

If you mean really good plots there are quit a few. The Hydra series by Miyamoto Kano, and it's sequel Rules, New York New York, Dog Style, Little Butterfly, You don't know me (Manwha). All of these made me cry or at the very least teary eyed.

 

If you give me a better idea of what your looking for I could suggest more.

dude, MARGINAL. not only was it done by one of the pioneers of BL, it's sci-fi. so there's this unique fantasy culture and fancy-ass costumes and an actual PLOT plot, mysteries to be unraveled, etc.

You may have read Kuroneko Kareshi no Asobikata already, but the story isn't really stereotypical~

I would say Konohara Narise's novel - Don't worry mama. The plot kill all my expectation. Not your stereotype yaoi cliché novel. Well, it isn't very unusual; nothing supernatural, sci-fi just the plot takes place in a very interesting situation and unexpected character development. Maybe very original is the correct term.

Horror manga is certainly the way to go if you want something different and strange plot wise, and it does not have to be all that sick hardcore guro stuff. I personally like Hideshi Hino and Junji Ito. Get Secret Comics Japan or Comics Underground Japan I think they give a nice taster of alternative manga styles and plots. You should definately read Udagawachou de Mattete yo. At first i was kinda hesistant to read it, because it didnt really draw me in, but i read it later on and was completely suprised. The art style is bit peculiar but eventually you'll learn to love it.
