sniegas Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 He loved your arms When they used to dance Setting the cups for a tea Painting his face Touching Touching Touching He loved your lips The way your words Emerge from your body The words – caressing, ticklish Or hard like the rain Your lips Inhaling an air Touching Touching Touching He loved your eyes most Closed or opened Searching and lost Fearful The eyes that he Touched Touched Touched --- Now he is kneeling And trying to feel - Hands, lips and eyes In the blossom of the flower - My poor, honey-scented Hyacinth! Ay, ay! * ------------- I hope you all know the story of prince Hyacinth and greek god Apollo who was his lover and who killed him unintentionally. I just tried to modify this myth a bit and make it somehow more ,,modern''. 7

sniegas Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 Thank you very much;) Hmm. And there's another verse of this story. And another poem (if you can call it so) -------------- Always with you He was Riding together Hunting the hares and geese Carrying your arrows and bow For you he was picking Your spears Lucky and not Oh Hyacinth! And he Used to prepare the table Putting the bread and the wine For you both Smiling at him You would sit Listening to his harp Singing the songs and the hymns About the heroes and gods He used to send you to sleep Laying you down on the bed Made of the furs He himself Was guarding your sleep Sitting beside Playing so gently It seemed The music was born from the stars Not from the strings Always with you He was Your lover and friend Traveling with you When you used to leave The palace without any servants Asking only him to come With you Through the light and the darkness. * 1
