Description :

The setting is a futuristic Japan in which the country is divided into the City and the lawless D.Zone. The citizens who live in the safe city have IDs and are implanted with chips that allow them access to everything (hence they're known as Chips). People who live in the slum-like D.Zone are either Lost (from the city but lost or sold their chip), Visitors (foreigners with no chips) or just plain unlucky enough to be born there (Next).

 

Teenagers Tsugumi and Dail are childhood friends. Both are orphans living in a city called Eden and have only each other to support.

 

Tsugumi works at a recycling plant. On his way home from work one night, Tsugumi found a sad-looking Dail in the park. He wanted to be left alone. "Tsugumi...I'm sorry.." were the last words he heard from Dail.

 

The next morning, the police are at their house and Dail is nowhere to be found. It turns out that Dail has been accused of killing his uncle and is currently missing. He can't be found anywhere in the city and was last seen near the boundaries of Eden and D.Zone.

 

Frantic to find Dail, Tsugumi leaves the safety of Eden behind and ventures into the dangerous D.Zone...

I think AT&T finally blocked catbox for me... ughh. That's a real pain in the ass... so I'll just try and use filegarden for now. That, or I'll have to upload stuff to catbox from my phone when I'm at work or out and about. Who knows. 

It seems to upload parts a lot slower than catbox, and the max file size is 100 MB instead of 200. Oh well... it is what it is. At least there's the silver lining of you not having to use my split file renamer tool.

But anyways, here's the files!

Includes: The .ccd, the .sub, and the .img files for the game.

For installation, seems you just mount the .img and click the Windows version exe (or... the Mac. I guess it's compatible with Mac, too!). And... seems about it. You can copy the files and put them in a folder so you don't have to mount the game every time you wanna play.

Although, the game does that fullscreen fixed tiny resolution thing that Animamundi does.

Pictured. The game is in the middle. I currently have a 2560x1440 monitor.

 

I didn't have any luck texthooking with LunaTranslator either. But the OCR function does work just fine.

 

Ah... Bing thinks by "Tsugumi/ツグミ", it means the Dusky Thrush- a bird native to Asia.

I imagine this isn't the case, but imagining the protag being named after him is pretty cute!

Well, that aside, I'll have to fix the input of the character names pre-translation later.

I can't seem to find one either. However, suruga-ya.jp's listing of the game DOES say it comes with a walkthrough. Too bad no one ever scanned/transcribed it. Maybe one day me or someone else can find it...

It's not. Some Ritz games have no voice acting. Which kinda sucks, but I get why they didn't. Some do though, like Photogenic, WH Heaven/Hell, The Wind of Rixcall, etc.
