Hey guys!

 

I have been on and off of this little site as a lurker, downloading something there and here and swifting off into the darkness of the interwebs without actually saying hello. But now I feel like I want to come out of the lurker hole and meet you all! So I got rid of the dusty abandoned old account and made a new one!

 

Okay so my name is Ryn. I'm a guy and I have loved yaoi as long as I can remember. I have too many favorites really to be able to list on one page. I am a roleplayer and a writer and currently I have been working on my own original novel with some original characters I made from a boylove roleplay. I've done some voice acting on tublr which had some yaoi aspects to it and that was a lot of fun when I did it. I blame the scotish accent, haha.

 

I started reading some yaoi manga again for inspiration and encouragement to my story (the japanese write some amazing stories, even those wild whcky ones are really inspiring) and I found this forum in a search again. So I thought I'd come and actually say hi, meeting people and making friends.

 

I am a gaymer at heart. PSN trophies are my life! And as you can imagine I like an assortment of japanese, korean and chinese music too. If I tried to list them all I am afraid you'd be board by the end. Heh.

 

These things are always hard to do when joining a forum. I'm like 'omgwhatshouldisay' and stuff and then I just rant and rable. Well. Anyways, that's my howdy! Sorry it's a bit lame. f(',...,')f

You sound cool to me! I'm returning too, as I joined in a major transitional period and lost my info. A search a while ago reminded me of this place.

 

And I'd actually really like to hear about your work, especially the voice work, that fascinates me. I've fallen into the gutter of having to make money and I'm trying to nourish my creative side (to the dismay of some people around me who are judgy) by doing fanworks and lets plays of mostly yaoi based material in my small spare time.

 

If it's not too forward though, I'd like to hear more about the things inspiring you the most right now, and your experiences as a creator, roleplayer and voice actor.

: Sooo... now that I am home, welcome back to the forum. It's always cool to return to something. You get to relive the joy of being newish again! Heh.

 

So to answer some of your questions, the voice work I did was fairly simple. In fact, it was off-the-bat and spontaneous for fun! I auditioned to do the voice of Marco and Reiner in the anime Shingeki no Kyojin but got cast as Erd Gin. It was for a tumblr called “snk-smut-voices”. Classy, I know. I ended up doing a few and I think cause of my Scottish accent people really seemed to like it. I don’t think it was really good to be honest and I think people were just trying to be nice. I moved it to my own tumblr account and did some general ones, answering questions and stuff like that for fun. Did it for about a year. It was an interesting project. I ended up archiving the tumblr and putting the audios up for download. If you really want to embarrass and shame me you can ask me for the link.

 

As for inspiration, my recent writing project has a character that is inspired by the mechanic Seki from Kou Yoneda’s ‘REPLY’. I liked him form when I first purchased ‘NightS’ in English and when I started to do an original roleplay with my partner, Seki was my inspiration for a character who is now my own full original character. Since then I have created four more characters, a couple of sub characters and writing a slice-of-life story inspired by the simple stories from Japanese boylove stories.

 

In regards to roleplay, I have roleplayed for a long time. There was a break for a few years but I have done it from the days of yahoo groups to MSN, AIM, tumblr, forums, the lot! Currently most of my roleplays have been on a forum where the main subject is spanking (anime, television, original characters and that) as it’s something I like but I have done some standard romance, comedy and BL/smut on tumblr with the likes of Shingeki no Kyojin, Kuroko No Basuke, Ao No Exorcist and such.
