Sweet Pool help !!

I figured out my problem! I uninstalled it and redownloaded it through a torrent file. I had the same problem for a short amount of time. All I had to do was copy and paste the nss-patch file into the official game folder . . an hour of time I'll never be getting back, ahahaha.

 

I used to have Sweet Pool installed on my desktop computer - it's my favourite visual novel in the World.

I recently got a laptop, and intended to download it here as well, along with the other Visual Novels I've accumulated.

I followed the installation guide and instructions to a T, but I'm having a problem, still. The patch isn't working properly? The title text in the intro appears in English, but when I actually go to play the game, it's all written in Japanese! Now, that wouldn't be a problem in the future, because I'm taking Japanese in Uni, but I'd really like to be able to play it now. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I downloaded the patch and game from the links provided on this hthread:

I even downloaded winrar specifically, despite already having alzip, because it was featured in the tutorial and I thought it might possibly make a difference. Nada.
