Please pardon the fact that I type exactly how I talk, so the fact that I say "y'all" shows everybody that I'm from Texas. I kind of started reading yaoi because it was something I could relate to. As a bisexual girl, it was hard for me to find anything about being queer in the media, except bigoted homophobes. Yuri and yaoi were my best bet, seeing as I'd always watched anime and read manga. I still read/watch them, so it stuck. I don't know what else to say, other than I have no idea how people even breathe in these threads. The newbies are everywhere! It's suffocating! ...Though, being a newbie, I feel hypocritical. -Lucie
