arcuspluviusincitus Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Since I was a little scared to barge in here and start randomly posting without introducing myself I felt obliged to stop by and say hello... so hello everybody! Right, I am really shy so don't expect tons of threads under my name... I tend to dwell in the shadows just watching and popping my head up every now and then. Well my name is hard to pronounce and it is lengthy so call me Arcus or Krowy, either is fine. I'm a rather nice person but when debating topics of discussion that I hold dear I can become quite venomous....just a heads up. Um, I can't think of anything else to say so I hope to see you around then..

Well Spanish and English, Italian, French, Romanian, some German? These are called the Romantice languages (Rome-antic) as in the languages which derived from Romes Latin which was in fact a province of Latium hence the name Latin.

Anyway when they conquered land they made people speak Latin and thus became a commonly used universal language How to count to one and so on is similar in Spanish " Unos, dos, tres, cuatro, Cinco, Seis" French " Un, Deux, Trois, quatera, cinqu, Six." Italian "Uno, Due, Tre,Quatero, Cinque, Sei."and of course the original, Latin. " Unus, Duo, Tres, Quattuor, qinque,Six" ....See the similarities? Germany or Germania was conquered by the Romans however over threw them and drive them out. there is still some similarities but they tried to forget Latin by adapting it. In Latin you pronounce the V's as W's like "Veni Vidi Vici" or "Weni Widi Wiki" I came, I saw and I conquered (said Julius Caesar or Kaiser as it is pronounced, and the Russian "Tsar" is similar. ) Now the Germans pronounce the V's as W's doesn't that seem like a strange coincidence?... ^3^
