World between Dying Realms [Noise Prince and Akane Hiroshima]

For as long as time has existed, Heaven, the realm of Angels, and Hell, the realm of Demons, have been at war. As a result, since the dawn of Earth, the realm of Humans, the middle realm has often served as a battlefield, resulting in thousands of years of destruction and despair for the race that had nothing to do with the conflict. Unlike the Angels, with their magic, and the Demons, with their sorcery, Humans had no such defense.

Until the first of the "Golden-Touched" were born. Named for the golden glow in their irises when using great amounts of power, these rare and powerful humans were the saviors of Humans and Earth as a realm. Their very presence significantly decreased the power of Angels and Demons alike, they suffered no effect from Angelic magic or Demonic sorcery, and no material from or forged in any realm beyond Earth could harm them. With their gifted saviors, Humanity took back their realm, preserving the peace for their own sake.

These special humans are still being born, and relied on to continue to keep the peace, as guardians of Humanity. This role hasn't been as crucial to humanity since the Age of Everlasting War, however, since battles being waged on Earth's soil became rarer and rarer… until very recently in history.

Due to unknown causes, both Heaven and Hell are deteriorating. In the past one-hundred and fifty years, demons have been immigrating to Earth, forming close-knit colonies, interacting with humans only as much as necessary, often due to circumstantial conditions to live in the Human realm. It was rarer for Angels to do so, as they had an equal distaste for Hell and Earth. But as the two outer realms continue to decay, some Angels, out of desperation, have also started colonies on Earth, immigrating in fairly small numbers about fifty years ago.

As anticipated, the opposing colonies quickly became entangled in conflict… however, the Demons had an advantage. Earth-bound demons still held ties with Hell Demons, and the more powerful and resourceful demons in Hell sent aid and assistance when it came to war with the Earth-bound angels. The Angels, however, were no longer considered Angels of Heaven, as those who had to immigrate were not only the lowest ranking and poorest, but also considered traitors… Earth-bound Angels received no such aid… and suffered horrible slaughter as a result.

A great many Golden-Touched were needed to intervene, and they ceased the blood-shed as soon as could reasonably be expected, but that didn't prevent a great deal of demons, angels, and even humans, from dying- though angels suffered the greatest loss, percentage wise. The conflict is all but over, but it is very clear that any surviving angels on earth are at high risk. Particularly since more powerful demons can gain additional power by eating angel flesh, making them easy targets for 'poachers'.

It's been ten years since the last severe attack on angel colonies… but ever since the immigrations started to occur, no one on Earth, except for the most hopeful or naive, can claim to feel safe.

Name: Abel

Race: (Earth-bound) Angel

Description: Abel had to leave Heaven just after the greater of the conflicts were coming to a close, so the colony he arrived in wasn't the most safe, and he often felt heavily monitored by Golden-Touches who were often suspicious of another conflict rising, so they commonly patrolled colonies for a few years. While he was not subject to a lot of the violence, the aftermath of the battles, and the stories were enough to make him incredibly fearful of what may come, and distrusting of anyone outside of the colony, as even among angel colonies on Earth, there is in-fighting. Abel seems like a cold and distant person, as he has great difficult expressing himself, and feels that sharing such things is unnecessary. Despite being afraid of being hurt, he is hot-headed and often rushes into things without thinking, especially in a temper.

It felt like it had been dusk for hours.

Abel was breathing heavily, an incredibly painful thing to do, as he was sure some of his ribs were fractured, if not broken. He was holding his arm tightly, as if he feared it would fall apart if he let go, blood running like small rivers down his injured arm and down his limp palm lying face up on the cold cement. He was lying with his back against a wall against a dumpster behind an empty store. He didn't notice when he was running earlier… but his leg was probably broken too, which would explain why it was so difficult to keep upright, though he didn't feel pain in the midst of his panic. There was blood on his face, though no wound. He had received a small cut, but such an insignificant wound had already healed. He would heal completely… though it would be very slowly, particularly since he was so weakened…

'Those bastards… those bastards!' He kept thinking to himself, hoping his rage would let him forget the pain in his broken body. Small red blotches stained his white shirt, damp with his perspiration. 'They're all dead by now… they are going to fucking kill them…!' He had never seen his colony raided, though it happened today… or yesterday? A few days back? Abel lost track of time. As a young and abled person, he immediately volunteered to chase the demons away from their homes. It wasn't a difficult task, there were not many of them…

But the raid was a ruse. They were trapped by three times the number of demons. And with the most capable angels being captured, there was no one to protect those left at home... Abel was knocked out, and when he awoke, he had no idea how much time had passed, or where any of the other angels were. It was him and his captors… taking him to a demonic colony, where he would no doubt be killed and butchered. The only reason they hadn't killed him was that angel flesh did not keep well, and demonic colonies rarely sat very close to angelic ones.

In his exhaustion, Abel hardly remembered how he got away… he remembered planning it, but nothing ever went according to plan, but he was fortunate to not have to confront many demons. The toll it took to combat their sorcery drained Abel of not only his magic, but his physical durability, as for angels the two are closely linked, and he quickly became broken. It was through cunning and luck that he evaded them this far…

Once he reached what he assumed was a human city, he limped towards the back of a run-down store, and roughly sat against a dumpster. All there was to do now was pray that no one would find him before he had healed… He expected it to take no more than a day or so… Abel winced one final time before his eyelids closed, and his head dropped down. Sleep overtook him.

Name: Fuma

Age:23

Looks:shoulder length brown hair and emerald green eyes

Personality:unknown

Background:unknown

Fuma silently wandered about the town's streets.

New had came that some nearby town was raided and it's townspeople were killed. Fuma couldn't help but wonder what the hell was going to happen to this world when the war was over. That thought plagued his mind over and over again. He couldn't help but think about it. Fuma sighed and shook his head," I can't let this get to me now."

Fuma turned down an alley way only to find a man leant up against a dumpster.

"hah?," Fuma took a closer look. The man was badly wounded." You look like shit," Fuma put out bluntly.

((I added the picture :3))

Abel wasn't able to slumber for long, as he was startled awake by a sound, no, a voice. Abel was never a particularly heavy sleeper, but since coming to Earth his nerves seemed to never calm, not even in sleep, and any suspicious sound would wake him.

The angel immediately lifted his head and looked up towards the speaker. 'Human...' Abel noticed.

"Being shit would be preferable right now," Abel replied, his voice sounding a little hoarse. "Feces do not have nerve endings," he added. Normally he wouldn't try to be friendly, but he wanted to get on this person's good side, so that he hopefully wouldn't report him to some human official. Then again, maybe they'd be lenient about his being there without any permit if they heard about the raid.

Fuma was now on high alert. The man was wounded, but something was really off about this stranger. When the stranger spoke, his voice was hoarse,"being shit would be preferable right now." Fuma raised a brow in amusement. "Feces do not have nerve endings," the man spoke again. Fuma scoffed before chuckling

Abel coughed a bit, trying to soothe is dry throat. The man standing before him was human, to be sure, but he was also quite beautiful. He had very handsome features, so handsome that Abel felt that he shouldn't even be looking.

"Give me by this time tomorrow, and I'll be gone," Abel informed the man. "There is no need to report to anyone- I don't intend to stay long." he added.

Fuma furrowed his borrows as the other coughed," you look like you need help." "Give me by this time tomorrow, and I'll be gone," the man spoke," there is no need to report to anyone- I don't intend to stay long."

Fuma took the man's words into deep thought. So he was someone illegal or something? If so maybe....Fuma shook his head furiously, 'get those dirty thoughts out your head right now!," he inwardly scolded himself

"Help…?" Abel repeated when the other man suggested it, and he shook his head, his neck was a little stiff from sleeping in such an awkward position. That seemed like a strange thing for a human to offer an angel outside a formal setting. Then he realized… maybe humans couldn't tell the difference between angels, demons, and humans? The only humans he had ever met were officials visiting his colony, who would already know he was an angel. To this stranger, Abel could just seem to be an injured human.

If that was the case… he would have had a chance to just seem like a human, but by asking not to be reported, he just made himself seem suspicious. Abel couldn't get a good read on the other man, not that he was very good at non-verbal communication, but he seemed troubled with something… Then when he shook his head, he figured he might be able to change the conversation away from himself…

"What's with that shaking?" Abel asked, looking up at the man. "Maybe you need help more than I do,"

"What's with that shaking? Maybe you need more help than I do," the injured man looked up at him. Fuma frowned," shut! I'll leave you here to die!" Fuma then helped the man up, holding him in place with his hands

Abel felt himself being lifted from the ground, and would have made a snarky retort if not for the pain that shot up through his leg when he tried to put his weight on it. He clenched his teeth, though he felt tears prick in his eyes, he nearly fell forward, but the man holding him kept a firm grip and didn't let him fall.

'So it's still broken… but at least the bones have aligned,' Abel thought to himself. He wasn't healing as quickly as he'd like to… though under the circumstances, it was understandable. If at least his strength in magic was replenished, he could heal himself that way, instead of this tedious waiting game.

"Leave me…?" He whispered out loud; surprised that the human's word choice sounded like he planned to help him. The angel tilted his head up to the human's face, their faces seemed very close together. All the features Abel had noticed before only became more apparent with a closer look. So… was he intending to help him? He really couldn't tell that he was an angel. Abel could hardly contain a smile- what luck! If this stranger wanted to play the Good Samaritan and help him out… that'd be very good! Certainly a lot safer than lying in the streets. He'd heal in peace, then leave, and all the while this person would think he was a human! Now, it was just a matter of playing this right…

"Are you saying… you'd be kind enough to help me?" He asked, trying to make his tone sound softer.

Fuma blushed as the other's face came close to his. "Are you saying....you'd be kind enough to help me?," the stranger's voice became soft. Fuma tried to ignore the dent in his a pants as he cleared his throat," yeah..."

Fuma couldn't stop himself now. So many negative thoughts were coming into mind.

Abel's arm was throbbing with a dull, numb pain, but nothing he couldn't handle. He noticed the look on the man's face, and wondered if he was coming on too strong with direct eye contact, and he glanced off to the side.

"Thank you…" He replied, nearly whispering. "I really won't need much… just a safe place to rest for a while." He told him, leaning back on his good leg so he wasn't relying so much on the other's support.

"Yeah, yeah. I got ya," Fuma helped the man to his home. When his house was reached, Fuma sighed in relief. All he had to do was get this guy somewhere to rest and get rid of the thing happening in his pants.

Opening the door, he help the stranger into his living room and set him gently on the couch." Need anything? No? Okay! Be right back," Fuma made haste when disappearing out the living room into the nearest bathroom

Abel was a little ashamed of how much he needed to rely on this person physically, leaning a lot of weight on him since it was difficult to put any on his wrecked leg, but the stranger really didn't seem to mind. Or if he did, he didn't say anything.

Television was a luxury in most colonies, and Abel's small community shared one large screen in their town center, where everyone watching would agree on a program - with some hours reserved for news - and watch when they pleased. Abel had never seen a house like this stranger's accept for on that television. The interior, however, was not much like any of the sets he had seen, everything seemed… narrower?

The angel moaned lightly when he was assisted onto the couch, and he felt his muscles almost immediately relax against the soft support of the cushion.

"Th-thanks," He whispered.

"Need anything?" The human asked.

"No, I-" But he was cut off as the person excused themselves to go into another room. Abel raised a brow after he shut the door. Was he really going to leave him here alone? Unattended? He could be a thief, a con-artist…

'Well, if he's allowed me in his home, he's likely not suspicious…' Abel considered, resting his head on the back of the couch. That's when he noticed… this humans' home had something else in common with families on the sitcoms.

The stranger had his own television in the living room!

'Don't get too comfortable,' Abel scolded himself mentally, scowling. It's not like he was going to be staying very long, so he shouldn't get used to any of the luxuries this strange man had. He would leave once he had healed.

"Oh… fuck,"

The gravity of his situation started to fall in hard. He hadn't been able to think clearly until now, in a safe, 'secret' location, where he was already quite a bit healthier. He remembered coming to the colony for the first time, the weariness, the war-torned location and it's people… few people even wanted to acknowledge him, much less talk to him. He understood, and he was almost thankful… those dark eyes in those forlorn faces told a story he never wanted to know. Abel thought he'd never understand the horrors that they had been through, and was thankful that they didn't intend to share.

But now, he lost that privilege… and pretty soon, new immigrants from heaven would be coming in… and he'd be one of those weary, tired faces, not willing to look any outsiders in the eye. It wouldn't be any better going to another colony, either, not that any were likely to accept him. Outside of Heaven, there was no race of angels- just your colony.

Those demons were likely after him, too… if they were persistent, they could possibly find him here! Not that they'd attack a human's household - another bonus to laying low here. But if he was only going to stay here a day or two… that hardly meant he was safe. He had no idea what he was going to do after this...

Suddenly the pain in his arm started to become unbearable, and he grabbed it tightly, holding it close to his ribcage, cursing again. He stared at the black screen of the television… wishing the couch could swallow him up, and keep him in this moment of time forever.

Fuma came out of the bathroom, having taken care of his little 'problem'. He made his way for the bathroom, his head throbbed suddenly and his eyes gleamed gold. Something was up. It was only for a second and the throbbing was gone and his eyes went back to normal..

Abel thought he had heard a door close, and thought it was the man returning, and he looked over the couch, and he saw him with a strange expression on his face, and almost felt like he had missed something.

"Something the matter?" He asked, his voice cracking a little. He hoped the human wasn't having second thoughts about having a suspicious stranger in his house...

"W-who are exactly? No. What are you?," Fuma stumbled into the room. He had sensed the presence of one who was not mortal.

Abel stared at the human wordlessly… looking at him with awe, and terror. He… how could he know? Suddenly, the realization hit him.

"G-golden-touched," Abel muttered under his breath. That had to be it… he sensed that he was not a human because he was Golden-Touched. Was he doomed…? What was going to happen to him now. Abel couldn't imagine that a Golden-Touched, a rank above humanity- it's guardian and protector, was exactly going to let a human stay at his house, especially since he was there illegally, and involved with a large-scale conflict between Earth-bound angels and demons. Abel forced himself to stand, too scared- and preoccupied with appearing not to be afraid- to be pleased that his leg hurt significantly less now.

"My name is Abel… I am an Earth-bound angel." Abel replied, his tone was thick, and he kept his voice as steady as possible. Whatever consequences he faced, he was going to do so with a straight face, and standing. There was nothing else he could do against a Golden-touched.

Fuma now being able to stand straight, narrowed his eyes at Abel."earth bound? Shouldn't you be in your village then?," Fuma closed in on the angel.

"That's…" Abel, intimidated by the stern gaze of the human, shifted his eyes to the ground. What was he supposed to say to that? He forced himself to look up again at the man, and saw he had moved in closer, and the angel drew a sharp breath.

"That's… a complicated issue," Abel finally stated. "Ideally, yes."

Fuma's eyes now turned golden as he glared down at the angel," if you will not tell me, I'll strip it from you." Fuma made direct eye contact with the smaller one. "Why aren't you in your village?"

Abel's eyes flew open, though the rest of his body curled in, flinching.

"I-I…" His chest felt hollow all of a sudden- due to either the Golden-Touched's power or his own fear, he couldn't tell- and it made it difficult to draw a breath to answer.

"Because I was taken from it." He finally answered, the hollowness in his chest became full of his anger and regret. "My village was raided and I… and everyone else…" He stopped, and he could no longer look the man in the eyes. His shoulders slumped, and he dropped his gaze to the floor. "I don't know for sure how long ago it was…" He added, his voice weary.

Abel would have been annoyed by such an obtuse response, if he wasn't in such a dangerous situation in all four corners…

"Yeah… I know," He grunted. "But I really shouldn't be anywhere, which is exactly my problem." He looked back up, bracing himself to look back at those golden eyes.

"So what will you do with me, then?"

He hated how cowardly that sounded. But he wanted to know, and was scared of the answer.

Fuma's horniness came back to him as the angel stared up at him with such weak eyes. He couldn't help himself anymore." If you don't want me to say anything, you'll stay here and entertain me."

Fuma had not realized how much of a creep he sounded like, shit, he could care less at the moment.
