But then the wizard responsible for the death of Edouard’s father escapes from the prison on Bright Isle and disappears, leading to mistrust and accusations between Edouard and the Wizards Hall, and Kieran is caught in the middle.

The wizard Kieran has been the personal bodyguard and lover of King Edouard for four years. But now Edouard has decided that it is time for him to marry and establish a succession to ensure ongoing peace in the kingdom. But finding a woman who will accept the relationship between the two of them is only the beginning of their problems. Amid the political strife surrounding the selection of a new queen, they learn that wizards are disappearing and the Wizards Hall is at a loss to explain.

hi. i finished reading this series a while ago and fell completely in love with it! does anyone know another with a similar story line like this? i prefer if it also has a historical setting with a ruling monarchy like the bright isle series... thanks in advance!

I was also curios about The Wizard Prince when i read the first chapter after I finished this series and I found out that you can read it online for now on this author blog.
