Hello there fellow fujoshis and fudanshis !! 

The work I'll be sharing today actually came out a couple of years ago but I wanted to share this gem cuz I think it's pretty underrated :D And this may sound a little random, but I recently started playing NU: Carnival (specifically the uncensored version) and omg why have I not played this game before ??? I remember everyone hyping it up when it first came out but I was scared that it might not be what I had hoped/expected as others said 😅 All the characters look so gorgeous and the voice actors are amazing! I especially really like Eiden's voice actor (aka 刺草ネトル / Irakusa Netoru) mainly because of how he does both uke and seme roles in the game so well 😫

I've heard more of his seme roles, but in the game his uke voice just sounded so precious/soft so I decided to look into his uke roles on the DL site and managed to find one that fits to my taste (no hate to his other uke roles! I'm just really picky ^^;) lol 

PS. If anyone else plays/knows NUカニ, any advices about the gameplay would be much appreciated (or just anything about the voice actors/game)!! 🙏🙏 It's so hard to make a lot of money in a short amount of time in this game but I don't want to pay real money to buy deals/packs since they're just insanely expensive 💀

 

PLEASE NOTE: This work is set a real long time ago! And I'm not an expert in Chinese history or their culture, so if what I say below is wrong, please do forgive me :'D What I explain here is basically what I got from digging all kinds of information; Also, Track 4 includes a bit of choking, so do listen at your own risk !!

CONTEXT:

The setting is supposed to be in China (possibly inspired by the Qing Dynasty), which I thought was interesting; this work uses complicated Chinese characters/Kanji to the point that the site even added definitions to what certain words mean in Japanese lmao And this is a story where the uke (aka Shiyo), who's a eunuch, ends up spending the night with the seme (there's no name for him mainly because we, the listeners, are hearing everything from his POV), who is the emperor! Shiyo is very pure and innocent, and is full of manners; he's very caring too and I can tell that he's the type of person who'll put others' priorities first 😭 Whereas the emperor can be very ruthless (it really depends on his mood), but from my understanding he takes his duties as a ruler very seriously. But of course, there are times where the emperor needs to release his sexual desires, and it just happens to be that he wants Shiyo to be his partner for the night! (fyi the emperor seems to have taken a liking to Shiyo since the beginning, which is why he wants to spend the night with him)

Shiyo gets very confused because 1) he may be a eunuch, but he's still a man (only his testicles were removed; his penis remains) and 2) he's a eunuch, why would the emperor want to have sex with a eunuch and not a concubine? But this was the emperor's orders, so Shiyo has no other choice but to become his partner for the night; the thing is though, Shiyo may or may not have like, a huge crush/admiration for the emperor, so even though he doesn't actually realize it, he's very happy that he gets to spend time with his idol! And well, let's just say that after that night the emperor never changes his partner hehe 

 

OTHER NOTES (basically some other info I found):

I'll put the words that the site explained here in English because to be honest, even after I used the translator it didn't help me, so I ended up just looking them up lol Hopefully it helps some others too!

• 寝宮(しんきゅう / Shinkyū): the Imperial Bedchamber (basically the emperor's bedroom); it's located within the inner palace
• 奏摺(そうしゅう / Soushyū): a confidential written report sent by a bureaucrat (most likely reporting government affairs) and in response, the emperor would write in red ink
• 羅漢床(らかんしょう / Rakanshyou): a traditional Chinese furniture that's like a couch, daybed, bench, and a bed (I would just recommend searching it up, you'll know what I'm talking about lol)

Also in the character profiles it explains that Shiyo became a eunuch at the age of 18 and started to work in the palace; he's very good at his job to the point he's like a personal servant for the emperor lol

**If there are people who have questions whether a eunuch can ejaculate or not, it turns out yes, they can as long as they've been castrated after puberty (it's just that they don't release real sperm and it's more just a clear liquid) But it's harder for them to become erect and to reach to a climax so they would need more stimulation! So technically speaking, this work isn't all fantasy/fake, they're pretty much real :D

18歳の時去勢手術を受け、両方の睾丸のみを切除(陰囊を切り開いて睾丸を摘出)。陰茎は残されている。

I've been playing Nu Carnival since launch, and I need to tell you, pick an oshi quick and stick to aiming for only his banners. Just one copy is enough because you can buy more copies from the shop later. Reruns are so expensive and not really worth it, so if you see any unit you want, try to get them when they first come out. New players have a lot of trouble accumulating gems, so please don't blindly pull for every unit.

At early game, focus on your R and SR because they will carry you through endgame. A 3 star SSR = 5 star SR! There's also tons of resources and Zerophos for guides on youtube, and the official Nu Carnival discord has so many amazing resources, like tierlists if you care about that (your oshi will always be the best to invest it haha), and guides for endgame content.

Make sure you invest in at least 1 Guardian (e.g. SR Morvay) and 1 Healer (e.g. SR Yakumo)! then DPS. There are also some niches that would be good, like an anti-healer (e.g. SR Kuya) or a guard breaker (e.g. SR Dante). But don't stress too much!

Yeah, I've been playing since day 1 launch and basically this^. You can play without spending money but if you want to do EVERYTHING (or most of the things) you need to spend IRL money. Not to say that you can't play without it, but you'll want to save your currencies for what you REALLY want.

Also, join a guild as soon as the game allows you, and find one that is very active. If you can get all the weekly items by Friday on average, you have a good guild. The extra items will be esp. useful for newer players since that's a guaranteed contract and 50k gold every week. In addition to daily log in bonuses, completing dailies ("deeds") and the occasional freebies from the Twitter account, you can build up a solid inventory in a few months.

Gems are the most valuable/useful currency in the game for a free player, please do not waste them on anything besides contracts or energy boosts but only then to get everything in an event until you have your own resource management system up. Also, they will do free pulls on the main/basic SSR banner so save your contracts & gems for the event banners and only pull the main banner when they run the free pulls. I wish someone had told me that back when I started.


I'm not a fan of Irakusa Netoru's uke aegi-goe (hence why I'm also not interested in any of the H scenes with the seme characters in NuKani. I'm happy with my D.I.D. dog and my slutty scientist.) but I'm always grateful for people's contributions. Thank you for sharing OP and I hope you'll give the game a try.

And honestly yeah I get you with Irakusa Netoru’s aegi-goe 😔 When I was digging thru his uke works they all sounded a bit too vulgar for me (the tags were not lying when the site labeled vulgar moans lol), and this work was the only one that seemed to be fine for me 😅

Let me just say my fav characters' voice actors— Edmond's is Muru Nimaigai/Itou Kento (same as glasses dude in Wotakoi and it shocked me coz they have similar vibes LOL), Yakumo's is Manaka Sawa/Nakazawa Masatomo (iirc he is the uke in "Impotent Ex-host Playboy"), Dante's is Hiiragi Santa/Ono Yuuki (ngl, i prefer his works as uke more), and Kuya's is Yotsuya Cider/Okitsu Kazuyuki (one of my fav works of his is Oni to Tengoku as Tengoku)

Omg yesssss before I played the game I watched videos/clips of it and that’s when I realized the voice actors from shows that I watched lolol I remember this one time where Itou Kento said that he and One Night Love (aka Olivine's va) played a game together online but even when he logged off he saw that One Night Love was still gaming (which was over 10 hours 😭)

So far I’m enjoying the contents of the game! It’s just kinda sad that I need SSR’s of the characters to see the R18 scenes from the Journey quests 🥹

lmaoooo that's exactly what I thought too when I first found this work !! Maybe it's because of the red and white clothing it instantly made me think of TGCF lolol

I was originally so lost on what the words meant on the DL site so I ended up going through a rabbit hole about eunuchs lolol And I decided to translate some works (at a very slow rate ^^;) that I bought to English mainly because I'm just so tired of having to look at half-assed translated sentences by using a translator :'D I'm hoping this gives me extra practice hehe

And to be honest when I listened to this work it uses a lot of historical phrases, but they're just words to direct someone of very high status; so I think we would still kind of get the gist of what Shiyo is saying ?? But I do remember getting stuck on some words still 😅

And for this work, it's actually not a BLCD, it's a doujin audio work! So there's actually no manga with it, it's like an original work (but I do wish this work had one though 😫)
