sayorenjo Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I know it's meant to be a shortcut, but since that term has some historical baggage as a slur, I’d appreciate it if you could use 'JP' or 'JPN' instead.

Regarding the title, the original post title was "[mememe] tarou don't escape (太郎 DON’T ESCAPE!)" Later, I learned that the posting guidelines require the author's name to be included after the title, so I corrected it to "tarou don't escape (太郎 DON’T ESCAPE!)-mememe". However, BRIDGET subsequently added "JAP" to the title. I was deeply shocked and have decided to refrain from posting in the future. Although I did not write it, I sincerely apologize for causing offense. Thank you for your quote. 1

As it was not a thread I created, I did not feel it was my place to request a change to the name. I also found it difficult to determine which thread would be most appropriate to post in, so I have written this in this comment instead. Since it was not something you yourself wrote, I apologise if my comment has made you feel any sense of responsibility. I believe the addition was most likely made by someone on the administrative side, and it may simply have been an unintentional use of “JAP” instead of “JP” as an abbreviation. There are people who are not aware that “JAP” can be considered a derogatory term, and others who may think it is merely taken from the beginning of “Japan”. However, from the perspective of those concerned, it can certainly come as a shock. Therefore, if the administrators happen to see this, I would greatly appreciate it if they could make a correction.
