Oh gosh, it's been years since I did any graphics (other than sig images and avatars). I used to make a lot of these "back in the day", but I just got so busy with real life stuff that I fell behind with my computer graphics. I never had Photoshop (still don't) so these probably aren't as great as most things, but they make me happy and I guess that's what counts! I just stumbled upon some of my older ones, so I might periodically post them as I find them. I just find images and blend them together, then add effects and/or text. At the time, these were just "blends" and there used to be a lot of competitions, etc. with different themes or required images. I'm not sure I have any of my competition ones anymore (that was at least two computers ago haha!) but I'll see what I can find. The first one I'm listing is one I made recently. Anywho, this is mostly just a fun thing I do every now and then. ^-^ p.s- I hope these look ok on other computers/browsers. *___* Most are .png for color/texture effects to show up as close to the original versions as possible, so I apologize if they take awhile to show up. Also, most of the textures were not made by me. I found them at graphics resource sites, so credit for those and/or brushes go to those sites. Stock images were also found by searching Google and the like, including stock photography (unless stated that the photo or scan was by me).

Hey all, I recently read an article on Slate about "momisms" (little tidbits of wisdom our mothers or families pass down). Here's the article. Some things it mentioned include the fear of having a fan running in an enclosed area without an open window (South Korea - and I gotta mention the author of the article said he was a young child in South Korea and remembered fans were a serious thing growing up) and the fear that wearing red in the Philippines during a storm might attract lightening (although one comment mentions he/she never heard that, but he/she used to cover mirrors during storms instead to prevent lightening from striking). There are others listed in the article, and I know of a few from Japan I think (something about throwing beans in the corner? I can't remember if that's during the New Year? Feeding the spirits? Somebody... do you know what I'm talking about?) ... Or is that even Japanese? I can't remember! ;-; In any case, it got me thinking about the different cultural superstitions and beliefs held around the world. I know we all come from different cultural backgrounds here, so I was curious if anyone had some "momisms" they'd like to share? I think they're so interesting, and I love learning new things ^^ One thing my mom taught me (she's from the southern United States) was to eat black eyed peas (or black eyed beans) on New Year's Day for good luck in the New Year. My dad (who is from the northern United States) said he'd never heard of that until he met my mom. So, that's something of a "momism" in my family I guess (Also, this is not to make fun of any culture! People around me love to eat... except me... --;;; But, I love to cook for other people... So is there some food you love to eat or you want to try to eat... Or if any one like me... is there food you like to cook for other... When ever we have guest at home we make this... It is Shabu-shabu meet Vietnam's warp... ^^;;;; We make broth and put it in the wok... In the broth we put slice of meat and shrimps... And dip the rice paper in it to soften the rice paper... Chaff the fruit and vegetables of your choice... And put anything you like... I put every thing... Also you put the sauce in the warp... The green one is hot one, red are sweet and little hot... yellow one is not hot at all... ^^;; and warp it up... and you eat it!!! ^^ Who ever eat once... they want to eat agine... I don't put anything special seasoning... just nature ingredients... and love... ^^;;;;; So What is you food of choice... ^^

Hey, my name is Sarah and I'm a yaoi addict. And yeah, I think different of gays now. Most time I think they're cute^^ and maybe I'm a bit more open-mided in that point. But I don't know if that is related to yaoi or maybe a bit change of character of myself. I started to really think of "the physical appearence has nothing to do with the heart of the person" and gender counts, too. So I'm kinda bisexual now? @鼠ドル Yeah sweetie... :/ I will never forget the first days i came to YO and you, Jenova, Rei and brohne were at chat and i was such a newwwbie and you guys just kept telling me to read "Viewfinder". And when i did i immediatly got so hoocked on it... i followed each and every release and read all her other manga. It's really bad news but, let's hope someone does pick it up again, since this manga is just the "Yaoi Manga" in my opinion...

i must say that i became an open minded person, i started to see the other side of life. i became aware of the feelings of other people.. i can definitely say that letting go of yaoi would be hard to me, which i would never let it happen!! still,,, i say that yaoi made me mature and it continues to not only amuse me but it sometimes teaches me lessons which one person who is prejudiced and close-minded could not easily understand..
