Sorry I'm late - I brought treats! I love vampires, for various reasons, but ever since I saw Frank Langela play Dracula *gasp* SEXY... I was pretty young, but I knew sexy when I saw it ...I was hooked. So here's some random vamp pics. Oh I should also say that until Selene (Underworld), I never met a female vamp that I thought was tempting, they all reminded me of harpies - or Lily Munster - not sexy. on with the TREATS!

I want to start this series of threads about Japan since i'm really attached to this country. Let's face it...Japan is a wonder,and i'm not talking only about the geographical Japan but also of the perfect combination that you can find there between their beautiful culture and traditions that were kept through the passing time and the modern influences that have caught roots there. In this threads i want to concentrate on all the beautiful things you can find there and i'll start with... Onsens 温泉 (温=warm and 泉=spring) You can find thousands of onsens in Japan with outdoor or indoor baths but why are they so fascinating? I believe that is because by going to an onsen you get to relax,see beautiful landscapes and tend to your own health. Onsens are a major tourist attraction and you can often find them in the countryside but there are some in the major cities as well. The presence of an onsen is often indicated on signs and maps by the symbol ♨ or the kanji 湯 (yu=hot water). Sometimes the simpler hiragana character ゆ (yu) is used, to be more understandable. Question:How many of you have gone or will go to an onsen?

Vampires...my favorite supernatural subject ^_^ i just love red eyes. Personaly i believe in the existence of supernatural creatures but i don't agree with the modern point of view about vampires...there can't exist a creature that will be burned by sunlight even if it sat in the dark for a long time and most certainly vampires don't shine in the sunlight *chuckle* In the end this is just a fascinating theme that is filling the imagination of many minds. There is so much hatred and fear for things that many don't know or can't understand. What they can't understand is that everybody has a life...his own...and can live it as he/she wants. Also i dislike people who just watch others get hurt and walk away as well as those who judge others by what they hear or how they look at first sight...it doesn't matter where were you born,the colour of your skin,religion and sexual orientation...what really matters is how you are inside.

YO has been having several problems in the last 2 weeks, first the login/refreshing problem, then the current slow loading and the inability to upload images (be it as signature, avatars, in album, in groups). As you could see, we had to remove the shoutbox (chat) and other PHP applications which were causing an even heavier loading. We worked on fixing those issues, but we came to the conclusion that we have to move to another server. We already bought a new server (for the first month) and now we are working on configuring and securing it (thanks to Josh) so we can move the site there. Hopefully the next week we'll manage to complete the transfer. UPDATE: Because we want to secure the new server very well (due to the previous attacks we had) and set up a monitoring for us to analyze the logs so we can collect detailed information in case of a possible future attack attempt, the migration to the new server will take longer than we anticipated. There are zillion things to do. Until now everything went smoothly and a big part of the server is already secured. I know it's annoying, the way the forum is working now, but better to do the things good than rush them and face problems later on. Anyway, if everything goes well, we'll finish the migration until the end of the month. After migration we'll add the shoutbox (chat) again and other PHP applications that were removed due to the slow loading and also we'll launch the new manga reader on which we've been working for 3 months already. my first encounter with yaoi was through "junjou romantica"; i just loved it.. the story, the gags, the emotions, the drama, the romance...anyway all of it. after a google search i found a new world of yaoi, i "entered" and i stayed. i don't have a single author whose work i enjoy reading....it depends ....the story line, the art, the lovestory, the love scenes, my mood..

mine is ghost (us licensed version is called eerie querie). the first time i read it, that was the first time i know of shounen ai, then try to find out more about the yaoi world, and later on, got hooked with viewfinder. but the very first manga that makes me obsessed with yaoi is undoubtedly eerie querie.
