After some talk with Saga, we decided to create a new forum section about Asia. We wanted the forum to be better structured. In the first part, Asian Interest Check, any user can post interesting, funny facts, articles or news about any Asian country. You can inspire from other sources, but don't copy-paste the articles not to have complaints from the original author. In the second section, Asian Languages Learning Center, users knowing the 3 languages listed (Japanese, Korean, Chinese) can offer short 'lessons' to help other users who want to learn those languages. As for the 3rd and 4th parts, we wanted to separate the Asian music and dramas from the international ones. The topics about international music and movies will remain in the Non-Yaoi Talk and the Asia-related ones will be moved in the Asia Corner. NOTE: Points will be given for the posts in the first 2 sections, Asian Interest Check and Asian Languages Learning Center. Also, those who will post articles or language lessons, will receive an additional 500 points for every new thread. I'll make a thread where the authors can request the points for their articles/lessons.

Before any writing you need to know basic alphabet or structure of language you are try to learn. Korean(한글han-gul) has 14 consonants(자음ja-eum) and 10 vowels(모음mo-eum). First, let us know what 14 consonants are. ㄱ(기역gi-yeog) ㄴ(니은 ni-eun) ㄷ(디귿 di-geud) ㄹ(리을 li-eul) ㅁ(미음 mi-eum) ㅂ(비읍 bi-eub) ㅅ(시옷 si-od) end written sound is S but coming out sound is D. ㅇ(이응 i-eung) ㅈ(지읒 ji-eud) end written sound is J but coming out sound is D ㅊ(치읓 chi-eud) end written sound is CH but coming out sound is D. ㅋ(키읔 ki-eug) end written sound is K but coming out sound is G. ㅌ(티읕 ti-eud) end written sound is T but coming out sound is D. ㅍ(피읖 pi-eub) end written sound is P but coming out sound is B. ㅎ(히잏 hi-eud) end written sound is H but coming out sound is D. With this there are double up one… for sound just ad Ssang in front. ㄲ(쌍기역 Ssang-gi-yeog) ㄸ(쌍디귿 Ssang-di-geud) ㅃ(쌍비읍 Ssang-bi-eub) ㅆ(쌍시옷 Ssang-si-od) ㅉ(쌍지읒 Ssang-ji-eud) And there is some consonants go together. This is most used in under. This one I will give you few examples. ㄳ – 삯(Saks) – wages ㄵ – 앉아(Anja) – Sit down ㄶ – 많이(Manhi) – a lot ㄻ – 닮았다 (Dalmassda) – looks like it ㄾ – 핥다(Haltda) - lick ㅄ – 밥값 (Babgabs) – meal price or money for meal But, same as English with out vowels consonants doesn’t make any words. So now let learn about 10 vowels. ㅏ(a) ㅑ(ya) ㅓ(eo) ㅕ(yeo) ㅗ(o) ㅛ(yo) ㅜ(woo / u) ㅠ(yoo / yu) ㅡ(eu) ㅣ(i) This vowels also mix together to work. ㅐ(ae) ㅒ(yae) ㅔ(e) ㅖ(ye) ㅘ(wa) ㅙ(wae) ㅚ(oe) ㅝ(wo) ㅞ(we) ㅟ(wi) ㅢ(ui) These are the most basic you need to know before structuring into word... Some people said Korean is most scientific language in the world. The building structure of Korean isn’t easy, but long as you know how to put consonants and vowels together it will be easy to put together. And the sound of the word will not change much at all... So what you write is what you get. So let built up some word. First, let use first consonant and vowel together. 가(ga) – Go! Even just one consonant and one vowel together made into the word. There are many other... Like 나(na) – I or Me, 다(da) – Everything, 라(la) – sound La, 마(ma) – it’s some kind of root veggie, 바(ba) – Bar, 사(sa) – Four, 아(a) – Ah, 자(ja) – Ruler, Go to sleep! 차(cha) – Car, 파(pa) – Dig or sound Fa, 하(ha) – laugh sound Ha Like this... even one work also could have many meaning. Also, you could put other consonant under this single word. 각(gak) – angle or each I will stop here for today. I don’t want you to over work on from first lesson. ^^ Next lesson will be making word with ㄱ as first letter... If you have any question on lesson or any word you want to know or make just ask. Have a great morning! – also can used any age but if it for the older person this time add 세요(se-yo!) in the end. 잘다녀오세요! (Jal Dan-nyeo-o-se-yo!) – this is kind of said to older who go out but will come back home. 다녀 mean go 오세요 mean come... so it’s sound like go and comeback… ^^;;; but, with 잘at front it mean save trip and come home. 다녀오겠습니다! (Dan-nyeo-o-gyess-seub-ni-da!) – this is when younger person going out and come back later said it... most time children said to mother when they go to school. 점심드셨어요? (Jeom-sim deu-syeoss-a-yo?) Did you have a lunch? – to older person. 점심먹었어? (Jeom-sim meog-eoss-a?) Did you have a lunch? – to friend or close people. 점심먹었니? (Jeom-sim meog-eoss-ni? After several hours spent looking for options and even tinkering with the avi file deletion and region change to Japanese, I found a solution. What I did is, after patching the game, right click the link in the desktop to the game and choose properties. In the compatibility tab, I clicked the check box stating "disable display scaling on high DPI settings" Mind you, I expected to get the mainsystem.exe error again but to my surprise, the game actually started! And it's patched in english successfully! Upon deeper inspection, if you click the option to run it in 256 colours, it works as well but the resulting colours in the game are less desired... I did not chose to run it as admin nor did I hit the compatibility option to windows xp or anything other. I hope this may help whoever experienced the same issue. Btw, I'm running on Windows 7 (32 bit I believe but the seller told me it was 64bit (Hmph!). Cheers!

Where to post? First of all, the Fiction section can be found here. It is divided in 4 major parts: Fanfiction 18+, Fanfiction 18-, Original Fiction 18+, Original Fiction 18-. These parts are sub-divided into Oneshots (1 chapter fictions) and Series (fictions containing more than 1 chapter). The Series section is also divided in 2 parts: Ongoing fictions and Completed fictions. How to post? Once you entered the Fiction section, click on Submit On the next screen, you will have to write the Title, select the proper category for your fiction (18+, 18-, Ongoing, Completed) and in the message field you write down the content of the fiction. If you have a multi-page series, scroll down to the Multi-Page options and write down the number of chapters and click Submit. On the next screen complete the fields. Each Title should be the title of the chapter and in the Message box write down the content of the chapter. You can always add more pages to your fiction by clicking on Edit Fiction, in the bottom right corner, once the fiction has been posted.

It would be good if you could clear the cache of your browser and flush the DNS in order to make the forum work better.
