"10 days of Pure" Day 6 Good evening everyone Now Day 4 of shooting "Pure" In the morning we film the scene "Misu drink(or took) supplement drink(with some pill) in the student council room" In this cut, director decided to do back and forward with the scene “Shingyouji run through in the rain” and this from the beginning of making this film(they said about alternating cut connection but I just said it that way to understand little easier). For this shooting went smoothly. In the afternoon we film the scene “Takabayahi and Yoshizawa by themselves thinking of each other” Mitsuya-kun and Kobayashi-kun don’t say any but only by tantalizing look on their face. That day, Mitsuya-kun sit at the “Takabayashi’s place” the window side of a library only thinking about Yoshizawa. This was also not in the scripted in the beginning. While the Misu and Shingyouji’s love story in advance also, the love story of Takabayashi and Yoshizawa are one of the important story in the "Pure" There is small scene in the "The distance between him and the Moon(director cut of special disc in DVD)" We did slowly increasing some of Yoshizawa and Takabayashi motional scene like in the movie. And finally the night we film the scene “Misu and Shingyouji kissing in the student council room"! This kissing scene we shot details from various angles over and over. Even it was frightfully took lot of kisses, but the director said, "What we did took at once?" (laughs) Director worry Baba-kun and Naito-kun might feel "I get tired of this kiss?" So he thoughtfully consideration on "them don’t really have to do the oral initiate of chocolate" But actually work fine (laughs), they really did the oral initiate and made the shot more realistic. When I ask director, "Did you plan on the saliva pull out like string when they kiss?" That was a really accidental. Director said "In fact, it was nature decision on tried to kiss by oral initiate" And I said this was a brilliant (?) adoption! And for that Baba-kun and Naitou-kus's "Bits(chocolate name) real oral initiate" was a success. Questions Q, What was director’s favorite scene in the movie? A, A Scene of sudden confession by Shingyouji to Misu in the cafeteria. Because, He shot the scene exactly with the impression he had in his mind. Q, What was the taste of Bite use in the oral initiate between Misu and Shingyouji? A, It must been the same as the original, "almond taste" For fact, Bits are little large so when they did the oral initiate they cut in half and use that. Tomorrow is the late shooting and also the climax scene of Newlywed couples. We are continued asking you with "your favorite scene" until 7 / 29 (Fri)! I have to go... Hope you guys enjoy Kiss* Spell… Chapter 7 I remembered everything… The images were popping in my head like a slide show… The warm weather, the sweet smelling breeze that caressed my face and my hair… It was like I was feeling it right then. It was May, two years ago. Me and Shu were together only for a few weeks then, we were so much in love, and I was the happiest person alive. There was nothing in this world that could make me feel bad or sad, nothing could disturb that happiness…nothing could come between us. Shu was invited by one of his friends to a Sakura sighting reunion, people would just show up to eat, drink and watch Sakura trees in bloom. An enormous mansion, the greenery that went till my eyes couldn’t reach, the pink and the green mixture was unbelievable, it was hard to believe such thing existed. I was happy he brought me along. It was just perfect for a walk in the sun. The person, who was holding this gigantic party was introduced to us. The first thing I noticed was this formal appearance and attitude, I was taken aback, I wasn’t expecting this kind of grandness, in a party where we were only watching trees… This old looking person was wearing a kimono, and you could see the different air around him, like royalty. “Shu this is kind of…” “Yeah I know, they’re one of the biggest families in the word of kabuki, ever heard of it?” “I know what kabuki is, but I really don’t like it that much… is...(whisper)well, kind of boring…” “Ahahah, well it is, but it is considered to be one of the greatest forms of art in Japan, and they are the biggest name in this business…” “Well, what’s so good about a bunch of old man dancing dressed as women…? I really don’t get it…” “Well you’ll see what I’m talking about later… My friend told me their youngest son is considered to be the best and the most beautiful person in the kabuki industry. As soon as I turned away, I saw a shadow hiding between two trees not very far from us… “Shu, I think somebody just saw us…” “Never mind that, whatever happens we’ll just say you weren’t feeling ok and just went to rest behind a tree, I was just helping you.” “And what if they saw us kiss, that’s troublesome…” “We’ll just deny it…don’t worry, nothing will happen.” “Ok…if you say so.” It was then…Right then…That I first saw him. Something moved behind the trees and showed himself to us… This kid, was standing right between two Sakura trees staring at us. He had a very white make up on his face, and some sort of scarf in his head , it was hard to see who was he… But the way he looked at me, made me feel nervous even then. Black penetrating gaze that could leave you breathless. He was staring only at me, and I started to blush too much. Did he just saw us, well it was just a kid, I don’t think he would even understand what happened. I stole another glance and he was still looking at me, I felt like I was being kept in that place, my feet were turning so heavy I was hard to move them. I stared back at him, blushing so much…Why couldn’t I avoid my eyes from looking at him…what was happening? And suddenly he smiled. All the colours around me went pale, the Sakura turned grey, the greenery turned black and white. The sky that only a few moments ago was bright blue was pitch black. It scared me. I turned away. It took all my strength to do so, I could no longer look at him… He bothered me, he shook my peace, and all inside of me was burning… I was a second away to ask Shu to leave, I didn’t want to stay there anymore, i felt cold, I was disturbed… That wasn’t natural, how could someone gaze make me feel like this… I tried to remember the face of the culprit, but I could only see was the white plaster, the black in his eyes and that smile, that powerful weapon he was bearing that wreaked my chest. “Shu…I don’t think I feel so good, I think I better go, besides if there’s any trouble, it would be better if you’re alone, right?” “What, wait Hana, I thought we were going to watch the show now…it’s almost starting…We’ll leave after the break, ok so just hang on for a little while longer…please?!” “Ok, only because it’s for you, I’m not going to enjoy a bit of this…” “Hum(smile)thank you, besides it would be disrespectful for the people who invited us right? Let’s go.” We sat far in the back so that when the break starts we would leave. Even so, as soon as the music started, once I looked at the stage, I felt my chest hurt again. He was wearing a wig now, dressed in a long white kimono, he was as surprising as before, only the attitude changed. The other person standing beside him, had the same air as him, but in a most adult posture, it was lovely to see the two interact. It was stunning, I thought kabuki was boring but truly that was such a performance…it was one of the most emotional things I’ve seen in my life. “So let’s go?!” “Ah, yeah sure…” “We have to go greet them, you don’t mind do you, I would like to thank them for their hospitality…” “Sure, I don’t mind.” We went to find Shu’s friend first and thank him for the invitation. Then we followed him so we could greet the family. They were reunited, all four of them sitting on a tatami, like they were meditating. Grandfather, father and the two sons. I felt like we were disturbing, it seemed peaceful there… He immediately looked at me, and I took a step back. Shu went and started to greet each and everyone of them, while I stood there trying not to look at the young boy staring at me. I could catch that their family name was Shirou but couldn’t understand any of their first names… They all stood up and bowed at us, we bowed at them and when I stood up he was staring again, with this bright smile in his face. I couldn’t say if he was that gorgeous or not with that thick make up but you could say that he had something about him, but the smile…That smile was the reason, my chest felt pain right now. That smile put a spell on me. You couldn’t look away, you couldn’t run away, you were his prisoner, you couldn’t be released unless he wanted to, unless he allowed to. He was called and the smile got undone, I turned away the fastest I could. I wanted to leave, I wanted to go home, I wanted to hold Shu, I wanted to kiss Shu. I wanted to take this feeling out of me, rip it out of my chest, to feel free from this pain… I didn’t want it, I didn’t need it. I wanted to let go. As soon as Shu got to my side, I took his hand and rushed him to the car. “Drive…” “Hana what’s wrong…” “Drive please…” He didn’t ask anything anymore, he just started the car and drove off. Halfway I was still felling disturbed, I wanted to feel free from that smile. “Shu stop the car, here…” “What the hell Hana, you ask me to drive, you ask me to stop, what’s going on…” As soon as he stopped the car, I jumped on him I kissed, I hold him with all the strength I had, I started to strip him down, I took away his shirt and listened to his heartbeat, it was a calming sound… But it wasn’t enough. I kissed him all the way to his pants, and I opened them. I took him in my mouth, and tasted him till I felt him come. “Hana…(breath)…please…wait...” “Don’t say anything, please…Just enter me…now.” “But it’ll hurt, Hana, I have to prepare you first…” “NO!!…like this now…Shu please do it…take me, hold me, do it to me like you always do…(whisper)love me…please.” He took me in his arms, holding me close. He started kissing me, caressing my chest, he sat me in his legs, and when he entered me…I felt his love, he didn’t want to hurt me, he was gentle, but I wanted him to ravish me up, to mess me up, to take me to a point of no return… He must have been confused at that time, but still he didn’t question me. "10 days of Pure" Day 5 Good evening everyone Day 4 of shooting "Pure" For this day, the main story line is Misu and Shingyouji’s meeting at "Two years ago." First, "the restaurant scene where Shingyouji comfess to Misu" As said in the making Baba-kun actually can’t drink coffee. But the director didn’t know about this. So I asked director, "If you know, would you changing the drink?" "I didn’t change. Even you hate it, but you have to acting to drink it is delicious." Certainly that is true. But, the nice director said "But, if I know, I will put sugar or use an American." But, in the film it was dark black coffee. (Laughs) Baba-kun try hare on acting out and made it cleared. Shingyouji confession scene, we carefully took the shot of this delicate interactive of this two’s emotional heart. For the next scene we had to fight with day and evening(they mean time line of it, They had to shot this in between of right before the evening so it is time battle for them.) The scene "Shingyouji crying in front of Sagara-sanpai” For the beginning of this scene is "attractive in the eyes", another difficult scene. Shingyouji look at Misu, and Sagara-sanpai to Gii. Shingyouji then looking toward to Sagara-sanpai with Gii and Misu also look at those two. Then, Shingyouji look back to Misu and Misu felt the gaze of Shingyouji. Misu and Shingyouji, then their eyes exchange with each other. It is the moment of "Destiny(Unmei)!" However there are great number of eyes been cross each other. . . After this Naito-kun had to do the scene of the crying, but this crying been pretty tough for him. (For this please see the Questions) After that we shot the entrance exam scene with a lot of extra in it. We took a quite a lager volume in the "Two years ago" scenes. The last scene of day was the scene of “Takabayashi in the Gii’s room #300” By the Watanabe-kun stability of acting also made Mistuya role of Takabayashi-kun to act natural in the scene. A natural addition of Takabayashi lay in Gii’s bed was to add character's charm. For that there was a raging voice of some people, "Takabayashi in the Takumi & Gii’s bed!" This was the crank up of Watanabe-kun. Starring from that day only a two honeymoon couples left for the nights. At night, they go back to their room and eagerly(?!?!) did the "read-through" time Questions Q, In the original "Pure," there is episode of Misu’s tempura soba, Why has this been missing? A, As said it before it’s hard to cover all the scenes in the film. Order to save better movie they have to make some cut here and there. "For this it’s not cut out rather it’s more like did put it in.” said by director. Q, I hear Shingyouji’s crying scene got struggle? A, Naitou-kun work pretty hard on shooting, but he was unfamiliar with to the tensions in the shooting. So for the "crying scene", he struggled hard to make the feeling. For that he had to repeatedly take the scene, but he successfully able to shoot that Pure tears scene. Today is the turning point of "10 days of Pure" Now we would like you to tell us "your favorite scene!" I just finish... longer then I thought... I had to go back to do cooking soon... Shingyouji woke in sweat, panting and with an unpleasant feeling of uneasiness. Looking to the side, he could recognize his beloved’s sleeping form, completely unaware of the sudden change of weight on the bed. Shingyouji got up and went to take a shower, see if he could calm down. As the droplets of water fell on his skin, the dream seemed to replay on his mind. Shingyouji hit the wall, tried to forget by turning the water freezing cold, sighed and stood there, tears falling unbidden. He picked the towel and dried himself, looking into his red eyed self in the mirror. Images from the dream came back and he found himself punching the glass, shattering it and drawing blood. Slowly, blood covered his hand and soon was falling down his arm, like a crimson river. Misu was startled by the sudden noise of glass breaking. Seeing his puppy was not in bed, he got up and quickly rushed to him. He found the boy on his knees, his hand a fist full of blood and pieces of the mirror around the ground and the sink. “Shingyouji…? What happened? Why are you…” he started but instantly fell silent as he saw tears in his lover’s eyes. He crouched near the boy, cleaning his wound carefully. He picked the first aid kit, near the tub, and started to take out pieces of glass that were mixed with the blood and flesh of his puppy. Shingyouji seemed petrified; he would not move or say a thing. He was there, kneeling while Misu cleansed his wound, not once complaining about the pain he was feeling. Misu finished putting bandages around the harmed hand, kissing the boy’s forehead before pulling him up into an embrace. “Are you going to tell me now what’s wrong?” he asked ever so softly, but loud enough for the boy to hear. Shingyouji finally reacted, burying his face on the crook of the other’s neck, inhaling the sweet scent that emanated from the exposed skin. “I guess not yet. Let’s move to the living room then? I’ll go fetch some clothes for you and prepare breakfast” Misu said, pating the boy’s head gently. Shingyouji merely nodded, his face bearing an expressionless sight. He sat on the comfy couch, looking at the scattered papers lying on the small table. He turned his gaze to the clock hanging on the wall. It marked six in the morning. A sudden sound coming from the hallway distracted him from his musing. “Shingyouji, breakfast is ready and here are some clothes” Misu announced, a bundle of clothes on his hands. Shingyouji managed a small smile and accepted the clothes, poising them on his lap but not making any further action to actually dress them. What can it be that shook him like this, Misu pondered, was it a nightmare? He knew Shingyouji sometimes had these weird very realistic nightmares, but rather than destroying the mirror, he usually would just wake him crying or with a scream. It was rather unusual for the calm and cheerful boy to behave the way he had a moment ago. Misu managed to pull the towel away and start dressing the younger one. He was tempted to take the boy right there for it was a sight hard to deny, yet it was not the time and especially not the right moment for that. He dressed the boy like he was a child and nudged him to eat. It feels so wrong to let him go to school looking like this, he thought. “Shingyouji… you’re not going to school today and I’m calling in sick for the day, let’s go somewhere and cheer you up a bit. What do you think?” Misu suggested. Shingyouji’s eyes lightened a bit. “I would love to” he answered, his voice hoarse from crying so much. “Okay then, it’s decided” Shingyouji smiled and Misu’s only thought was that it’d be okay.
