A recent blog post caught my attention. Manga Self-Defense 101. As a yaoi and adult anime lover I have a lot of questionable content on my laptops. My laptops also go everywhere with me. If I was stopped and my laptop searched, I could potentially be charged with having child porn. I don't have any, but that's not how some people see it. So, just a word of caution to those of you who travel with anime and manga on your phones or laptops. What are your feelings on this?

I hope you will find it a pleasure to read as I had so much pleasure and excitement writing it. Before we begin to read, let us reflect on this image to set the mood. ------------------------------- rabbit8 PURENESS “Okay..what in the world is that?” Misu frowned as he looked at his young lover strangely as Shingyouji wrestled with his white fluffy costume. “I'm a bunny rabbit. I'm doing this as a favor for my boss. It's his kid's birthday party. Isn't it cute?” Idiot, you're already cute even without it. Misu smirked but he won't say it out loud. “So when do you start your rabbit gig?” Misu sat on the chair and merely observed Shingyouji who was admiring and waving at at his reflection in the mirror. “Tomorrow.” Came the response. Shingyouji proceeded to take off the costume and stuff them in the big bag along with the fluffy bunny ears and pink nose. “Alright.” Misu stood up and went to their kitchen and saw there was curry on the stove. He poured some of it in a bowl and took it to the table while Shingyouji began setting the table. This particular dinner time was special as they didn't share the same schedules. Misu being a hospital intern and Shingyouji balancing his part time job as a convenience store clerk and college taking up Phys Ed. “By the way, I have a surprise for you.” Shingyouji smiled and pulled out two tickets out of his messenger bag. “Where did you get these?” Misu looked at them surprised. “My co-worker sold me those tickets last week since he won't be able to attend it with his girlfriend due to some family matter. I thought it was so timely since the tickets have already sold out even online.” “These premiere movie tickets are for tomorrow night.” Misu stared at them. Premiere tickets to Francisco Nagoya's art film feature. He had been a fan since high school. He was quite impressed that Shingyouji managed to get tickets for this. “Yes. I figured since my rabbit gig will be in the morning and I don't have classes tomorrow. I have already informed my boss that I will take the night off for tomorrow so we could watch the movie and maybe have dinner afterwards. What do you think, Arata-san? Will you come with me?” Shingyouji looked at him with his eyes sparkling with hope. “Well, I don't see why not. It's my day off tomorrow anyway. Yeah, sure. Let's go.” Misu shrugged. “Yatta!” Shingyouji lunged forward and gave an amused Misu a tight hug. “Thank you, Arata-san. I'm so happy.” He whispered to his ear and as their eyes met, Misu gave him a light kiss on the lips but still melted the younger man. ============================== “That was a really good movie.” Misu nodded as he read the movie pamphlet. Shingyouji looked at him proudly. Actually, he didn't quite understood the film being cerebral and a bit too artsy for his taste but spending time with Arata-san was all worth it. How he wished they could spend more time like these but he knew living together was the ultimate dream he had that's come true. He should be more than happy. As they were on their way to the lobby, a familiar voice called out from behind them. “Misu-kun!” “Sagara-senpai!” Misu turned and his eyes lit up. Very pleased to see his old friend and senior. Shingyouji could only look at him in shock. What is he doing here? Why now? “I wasn't expecting I'd see you here. This is a nice surprise.” Sagara-senpai smiled as he patted his kouhai's head. Get your damn hands off him! Shingyouji's jaw was clenched. He was fighting the urge to drag Misu away from the older man but he could only clench his fists inside his coat pockets in silent frustration. “Ah...Shingyouji-kun, yes? I remember you. It's been a long time. It's good to see you.” Sagara-senpai patted him lightly on the shoulder. Shingyouji could only manage a slight bow and a forced smile. “Yes, it's been a long time, Sagara-san.” He couldn't do it. He can't risk embarassing Misu. He loved him too much. “We're going out for drinks. Would you like to join us, senpai?” Misu asked an amused Sagara who easily agreed. Shingyouji wanted to fall apart but kept his cool and nodded in agreement instead. They arrived at a relaxing yet classy bar. There weren't much patrons around and happened to be Misu's favorite as was suggested by his co-interns. A piano player onstage playing jazz music. The atmosphere was sublime. The waiter was courteous and attentive who took their orders. It had a nice air of privacy and comfort. But Shingyouji was finding it difficult to absorb the atmosphere because right before him was his beloved who is now deeply engaged in a conversation with his senior and old friend. Tonight was supposed to be just for the two of them. He could have been the one Misu would be deeply engaged in a conversation with. He could have been the only one Misu would be focusing on right now. He could have been enjoying all that attention right now. This was an evening for only the two of them. He felt oddly out of place now. He knew too well that once these two met, there was no pulling them apart. Shingyouji looked at them sadly and manage a polite smile. He considered just walking out of the bar and not looking back. Make up some lame excuse. Would Arata-san follow me? Would he leave Sagara-san to be with me? He felt his insecurities rising again at rapid speed. He reached for his cell phone and pressed for a ring tone. What the hell am I doing? But I can't stand this...I don't wanna embarrass Arata-san. The longer I stay here...I'll embarrass myself as well. “Oh, I'm sorry..I have to take this call.” Shingyouji waved slightly and stood up and walked to the corner of the bar as Misu watched in passing. The waiter arrived with their drinks and so did Shingyouji with the most apologetic face he could express. “Anou...I'm really sorry. But something's up at work. I need to leave. It was very nice meeting you again, Sagara-san...Arata-san.” Shingyouji bowed and turned to leave quickly. Misu having noticed the change of mood from Shingyouji excused himself to follow him to the door. “Where are you going? You told me that you took the day off. Now they want you to report for work?” Misu held squeezed his arm slightly to make the younger man face him. “Yeah. Well, it's rather unexpected. But it's alright. I'll see you at home, Arata-san.” Shingyouji tried to smile. Misu studied his face for a minute before releasing his hold on Shingyouji's arm. There was an unsteadiness in his tone. The smile that didn't quite reach those eyes yet continued smiling nontheless. He understood Shingyouji's work ethic and dedication to his job but why did it seem so hurried?

The promised fun oneshot. It's rated 18+ due to language. This time it's Misu and Shingyouji. The title is just a wordplay for the upcoming movie Takumi-kun: Pure :hamtaro-005 (6): ImPure - Misu x Shingyouji fic Before they knew it, they were no longer in high school. One of Shingyouji's most revered dreams has finally been answered. Not only is he already in college but he got to live together with his beloved Arata-san in their 1DK apartment. Arata had complained once about the cramp space but Shingyouji didn't seem to mind the very least. To him, this was everything he dreamt of. Everything in life was good except for one thing. Misu Arata had taken up a bad habit of smoking. When he first tasted his first cigarette, it was like a celebration of freedom. He savored each nicotine stick like he would savor a breathe of fresh air. Much to the chagrin of his partner, Shingyouji who could not stand the smoke but was patiently trying to tolerate it but he was nearing his breaking point. Misu has scoffed so many times on the health risks of smoking. Something had to be done. As they quietly spent a lazy Sunday afternoon watching television, Shingyouji diverted his eyes and focused on Misu who was now enjoying another newly-lighted cigarette. "Arata-san...you shouldn't be smoking so much." Shingyouji looked at him worriedly. "Since when did an idiot like you tell me what to do?" Misu not bothering to look at him but remained focused on the TV screen. "Because this idiot cares about you a lot, that's why." Shingyouji frowned and moved closer to him. "Hmp!" Misu blew him a smoke circle. "You're not gonna stop?" That irritated Shingyouji so he grabbed the remote control and turned off the TV. "Make me." Misu gave him a smirk. "Alright then." Shingyouji quickly grabbed the cigarette off Misu's lips and began to inhale sharply. "HEY! WHY ARE YOU SMOKING IT?" Misu was aghast. He never once realized that his smoking bothered his partner so much. "Do you like it when I smoke, Arata-san?" Shingyouji blew a smoke in his direction. His lips were quivering. He obviously was not used to smoking but he didn't cough either. "Since when did you learn how to smoke?" Misu eyed him suspiciously. This was a whole new discovery for him. All the while he thought he knew Shingyouji but seeing him smoke like that in front of him, questions started to pop in his mind. "Since middle school." Shingyouji stopped smoking and squished the cigarette on the Panda bear-shaped ashtray. "WHAT THE...?" Now Misu was even more curious. "A teacher taught me how." Shingyouji answered him without hesitation yet his eyes remained on the ashtray. He couldn't bring himself to look directly at Misu. "Are you fucking with me? You say, a teacher taught you how to smoke?" This time Misu held him by the shoulders and made Shingyouji face him directly. "Yes..he did...especially after he would...do things...to me. He said it made the cigarette taste...much better." Shingyouji lowered his gaze. Memories he had chosen to remain buried in his mind were slowly being dug up once again. Misu's face was painted with shock. He did not expect something like that at all. It was bad enough a corrupted teacher would take advantage of his young students, a middle schooler even. But what angered him more was no one had any right to touch Shingyouji like that. Shingyouji was HIS to touch. Damn it! Okay, maybe possessiveness went a little too far but STILL! "Fuck. I don't want to ever see you smoke again. Do you understand?" Misu's voice was grim. He touched Shingyouji's cheek to face him. "I do." Shingyouji replied meekly. "Okay then." Misu nodded. "Would you do the same for me, Arata-san?" Shingyouji looked at him earnestly. "Only if you can replace my cigarettes with something better." Misu smirked. "You're such a perv, Arata-san." Shingyouji laughed. "IDIOT! DON'T COMPARE ME WITH THAT PEDO SENSEI OF YOURS!" Misu looked at him incredulously, obviously bothered with the comparison. "He was nice though..." Shingyouji shrugged. "SHUT UP YOU!" Misu was gritting his teeth. "He didn't hurt me." Shingyouji slowly shook his head while fiddling with a renegade thread from Misu's shirt. "But you said he did things to you..." Misu lowered his voice and looked at him closely. "Yeah...uhm...well..." Shingyouji stopped fiddling with the thread on Misu's shirt and covered his face instead. "Enough!" Misu just had it already. Another word about that sensei, he would be hatching a plan to track him down. "You'll really quit smoking for me starting now, Arata-san?" Shingyouji looked at him and smiled hopefully. "Idiot." Arata flopped back on the pillows while Shingyouji moved to snuggle beside him. "You're funny, Arata-san. I love you so much." Shingyouji murmured while planting a soft kiss on Misu's cheek. I'll jump into this discussion too ^_^ I enjoyed this movie alot, prob alot more than the previous Takumi films. I loved all the characterizations of all the characters as well. There was no moment where I got bored or hated it. The cinematography made me happy. I'm a huge cinematography buff, so at my third time watching it, I was enjoying the angles and how characters were placed in the frame. I feel like the director and his crew have improved a great deal. It shows in Pure and I can't wait to see the 5th film. Scenes that I liked. Where Arata was in the cafeteria talking with the other two guy characters and giving them relationship advice. ALL the Arata and Shingyouj scenes. Every scene that they did together was on fire. I really felt their dysfunctional relationship lol. I felt soooo bad for Shingyouj at times tho. (well Arata was being a lil too possessive for my taste...) Kiss scenes were all SMEXY btw The restaurant scene in the end, with all our main characters. The opening shot, with the entrance exam. I thought was very well done. Subtle is what I want to use. I love when people can act well with little dialogue. If you can act with only your eyes and just expressions, I personally think you mastered the art of acting. Yoshizawa OR Takabayashi (I forgot to match names...) Okay one of them was seeking adivice from Gii in his dorm room. I thought it was cute. He reminds me of a puppy, like Shingyouji. Wow all these Uke's are puppys to me lol, except Takumi...a lil bit. Takumi has more of a backbone tho. I think... Anyway film is a very well done Boys love movie. Good quality acting

Let go for general blog news on Takumi-kun & Mao-kun & Dai-chan... ^^ for the post in blog... no quiz this time... But for the essential items in shooting they show today is this... Every one know what is this... It is Takumi & Gii's pajamas... ^^ Well from the beginning of Mao-kun & Dai-chan as Takumi & Gii they wear this pajamas only... Even til the end... in the making Mao-kun was wearing that pajamas... ^^ So this is really the essencial items indeed... ^^ For Mao-kun... he got wisdom tooth... In Japan and Korea the call love tooth... ^^; Any way he is in pain... poor Mao-kun... He see the doctor and got a madicine... and put some ice pack (not ice pack something like that... ^^; )... Well as I said there they call love tooth... So become adult in few day first thing he got is love tooth... Are you in love????? --; Ah... my friend told me that Takiguchi send a message at Mao-kun's birthday... Said that he will make Mao-kun drink on air (they are doing Heat up eve tomorrow)... The people I was worry about did said that... --; But, Mao-kun has good excuse... he has love tooth and taking madication... ^^;;; Well Dai-chan didn't post new on for today... so I will just go for yesterday... I told you he in in new musical now... call "Love"... Before yesterday practice they went to shrine to wish for success for "Love"... He took picture... now day he like to wear that hat a lot... ^^ So... this is for today... Well I am not good with Japanese... --; I use translater and some Japanese are same as korean so I just use thought to translat... ^^ Well Dai-chan really do cuter then Mao-kun some time... Also, Mao-kun do act as his age to his close friend... But, somehow when he is with working he get less cuter... --; Well he use to be much cuter in Tenimyu and Takumi-kun... But, I feel that Mao-kun is growing up to fast in front of our eyes... --; Ah... from that I just remember that I did want to say same think... When, almost to end at Pure... Dai-chan and Mao-kun's smile is so much alike... So I did want to say being together long to make them even smile like each other... ^^ I believe the picture are when they were still in Tenimyu and shot first Takumi-kun... “Arata-san...” Shingyouji's eyes wandered nervously and curiously as he felt Misu taking his coat off. His mind began to protest as he watched him begin unbuttoning his blue-checkered shirt. But no words came out of his mouth. Misu looked very focused in the task and he sensed that authoritative silence. It didn't frighten Shingyouji but he knew better than to stop the quiet ministrations from the older man. It was almost a similar feeling he had when they were in the dressing room not so long ago as Misu buttoned his shirt up and that kiss they shared. The memory of that kiss made him feel a little hazy. No way he can stop Misu now. He knew too well that what Misu wants, he gets it and who was he to deny him that when he wanted it so much as well? The younger man could only stare in silent awe to what his lover was doing. First the coat then his shirt and now he felt fingers slowly unfastening his belt buckle. He wondered if Misu could hear how loud his heart was beating now. But even if he did, the older man did not show any signs of stopping with his activity. The belt dropped on the floor with a mild thud. And now his pants has dropped to his feet and he stepped out of it. Shingyouji was only wearing his boxers and his socks. A naughty glint showed in Misu's eyes which made Shingyouji both excited and nervous at the same time. “I'll get you a robe.” Misu left him standing there for awhile and he knew what that meant. He took off his socks and walked into the shower and closed the door behind him and took off his boxers. Shingyouji turned on the cool shower as it sprayed generously on his heated body. He leaned his forehead on the bathroom wall and allowed himself to calm his wildly beating heart. He then adjusted the water temperature to warm when he felt his nerves calming down. All the frustrations and stress he felt last night was slowly draining away as quickly as the water drained on the floor. When he opened the bathroom door, Misu was standing with the bathroom robe ready for him to slide into. He felt Misu's fingers loosely tie his robe around him then motioned for him to follow to the bed. Misu sat on the bed and held the towel he placed on the bed earlier while Shingyouji was in the shower. Shingyouji was feeling his body slowly heat up again as he approached and stood before him patiently waiting for his next instruction. Misu looked up to him and he could see the glassy look Shingyouji was giving him. He surely had no idea what he had in mind and he liked that....very much. “Kneel.” And Shingyouji obeyed and knelt before him while Misu took his sweet time massaging and drying his dripping wet hair. Shingyouji closed his eyes, raking in all the gentleness and control. His hands are now on Misu's thighs. He rubbed his hands slightly on the cottony material of Misu's pajamas. This was a rare occurrence they were having now. He wanted to enjoy every second of it. He never expected how good it felt when you have the person you love do something like this for you. From Misu's perspective, he could feel Shingyouji's muscle relaxing. His hair was nearly dry and as he took off the towel, the younger man still had his eyes closed. He smiled. He held his face with both hands and Shingyouji opened his eyes to look deeply into his lover before him. “Arata-san...” “Shingyouji...” Their foreheads touched. Their noses touched. Shingyouji felt Misu's cheek rub on his face and a light kiss on his forehead. He felt himself being pulled forward. The gentleness in Misu was making him weaker in the knees. If this went on, he was sure he'd fall back on the floor. Misu sensing this guided him to lie on the bed. As he lay down, Misu sat beside him and leaned towards his side. One hand slowly fiddling with the bath robe tie. Shingyouji felt a shiver run from the his nape down to his.... “You know...you should learn to be a little selfish sometimes.” Misu's voice was deeply seductive and resonated to Shingyouji's ears. “Our relationship....has already come to this....there's no turning back and we both know that.” Shingyouji nodded and tried to keep his eyes focused on Misu's. “Now tell me what you really desire...” Shingyouji felt his heart race at those words. Really? What he really desired? And then it dawned to him the reasons why Misu behaved earlier when he took off his clothes. It wasn't the actions of someone who merely cared for him. He was making up for the time they could have spent together last night. It was Misu's way of apologizing and oh, what a truly seductive apology it is. Every bit of uneasiness he may have felt had already disappeared now that they lay so close together on their bed. “I only want you to be mine. Mine alone. I don't want to share you with anyone...not even Sagara-san...you're mine. You're mine first....and always.” Shingyouji's words though seemingly possessive sounded more like he was pleading which made Misu smile. “You know I'm yours. Stop being afraid, Shingyouji.” He slowly lowered his head and as their lips touched, Shingyouji clung to him. He matched his kiss with much fervor and passion. The bathrobe now undone and revealing the dewy and smooth alabaster skin. The scent of his shampooed hair only further ignited the flame inside of Misu as his lips traveled down Shingyouji's neck. His hands tracing every inch of his lover's taut skin. Shingyouji stretched his neck allowing more access. “I love you...Arata-san...” He moaned so sweetly which made Misu's heart swell with even more heightened desire. “Shingyouji...” He breathed into his ear and Shingyouji felt every pore in his body come alive. He smiled in complete satisfaction. The fears and insecurities disappearing fast. No matter what happens in the future, they will always have this moment to reflect and treasure. To each other, they truly belonged. No one can ever come in between them. Owari?! AUTHOR NOTES: I feel my cheeks heating up after posting this last part. My hands feel numb with giddiness. LOL. 4:30AM Misu stirred as he heard the door click. He rubbed his eyes and adjusted to see Shingyouji trying his best not to make a sound as he carefully laid his bag on the chair. “You're back.” Misu broke the silence as he sat up on the bed. “Eh? Ah....anou...I'm so sorry, Arata-san..I didn't mean to wake you. I just came for a change of clothes. I'll be leaving soon.” A very startled Shingyouji stared at him. Misu stood up and turned on the lights. Shingyouji kept his head low and was obviously trying to avoid his intense scrutiny. He felt Misu's hand slowly cup the side of his face and lifted his chin slowly to finally face him. “Where have you been? I was worried. But I didn't know where to find you. You even left your phone.” Misu tried to keep his tone low and evenly paced. He didn't want to frighten his already-agitated lover. It was painfully obvious that Shingyouji's eyes revealed fatigue and sadness. “I was at work.” Came the nervous reply. “Where is it? I mean....where do you work?” Misu felt like a complete idiot right about now but he didn't care. It felt like the right time to ask such a question. “Sakura Grocery. The convenience store ten blocks from here.” Shingyouji blinked at him. He was rather surprised to be asked since Arata-san didn't seem the least bit interested in his work before. Misu made a mental note of that information and considered visiting him there one of these days. His confidence returning. Relief overswept him to have the younger man before him. Talking to him again. He's safe. He's home. That's all that mattered. They remained standing at the center of their apartment just looking at each other. “I'm sorry about last night.” Misu whispered which elicited a shocked look from the younger man. “Eh? It's no problem. It's okay really. I understand. Besides you and Sagara-san haven't seen each other for a long time. It was rather sudden for him to show up like that but I guess it was a good time for you both to catch up on things. I'm sure you have lots of stuff to talk about. And then there was that call...and I needed to be at work anyway...so yeah...it's fine really. I mean...I wasn't expecting you'd be already home either. I thought you guys would be hopping at bars and stuff. It's a good time to unwind, you know...I remember a friend of mine had this reunion and they...” “Shingyouji! You're rambling!” Misu interrupted him and shook him and right there he saw the tears that the younger man had been forcing to keep at bay began to flow unstoppably. He pulled him into a fierce embrace and tried to soothe him by gently rubbing his back with circular motions. As the tears subsided he felt him slowly relax in his embrace and Misu closed his eyes. So that was it. Shingyouji's insecurities have played up again this time. He's tried to assure him that there was nothing between him and Sagara-senpai but he guessed he can never ease the unrest in his lover whenever his senior appeared. He always seemed at a complete loss. Like he didn't know where to belong. But instead of exercising assertiveness, his lover chose to retreat like he did in the past. Though he loved him in his own way, their relationship in high school cannot be clearly defined despite Shingyouji always keeping close to him as much as possible. He has admitted to himself he actually enjoyed the devoted attention basked upon him by the younger man. But it is only when they moved in together and has been together for a year that finally they have a semblance of a relationship they can actually clearly define now in their terms. Several minutes passed. Misu looked at him with his eyes thoughtful. A slight curve of a smile evident in his lips. Ah, yes..he loves Shingyouji. He knew he can never find another lover as devoted as this. He knew it would be a torture to not have him close like this. But he did admit that there were lots of times that he did find a guilty pleasure of getting his lover flustered around him. Call it possessiveness. Call it whatever you like but by doing so also proved that only he had that much influence to make Shingyouji feel this way. If only....

Oh I love creamy strawberry cake. They make me fuzzy with happiness. It makes me feel loved. ♥ To have been able to write a story like this that can affect someone from a personal level is something I consider very, very special. Likewise, I've been through a lot painful memories in my past and it hasn't quite ended the way I had hoped but to be able to take those feelings of regret, remorse, happiness, sadness, hurt and survival and somehow express them in this story really means a lot. My family is against anything that goes against our religion. We are raised in old southern Alabama and if there's one thing you'll find here, it won't be gays. I grew up on a farm, have a slang like no tomorrow, and have been stuck in the Bible belt for some time. There are haters everywhere here. I had to tip toe around for years. Utterly surprised Shingyoshi stopped and turned around unsure of what his crush was going to say or do. “I told you to wait or did you not hear me, Shingyoshi.” Misu asked. “You belong to me. So why don’t you do as I say? When I tell you to wait, do so. If I tell you to stay, you stay.” Not waiting for an answer he grabbed Shingyoshi’s wrist and led him back out onto the patio. He needed to explain his actions and excuse himself form Sagara-senpai. “I’m sorry senpai. I’ll just go pick out some clothes for him.” Sagara had remembered Misu saying he was going to spend a day shopping with one of his kouhai so he assumed this was whom he was talking about. “Okay.” Without another word Misu grabbed Shingyoshi’s wrist and dragged him out of the café. A few stores away there was a clothing shop and he decided that would be as good a place as any to fulfill his promise. Shingyoshi hadn’t spoken a word and even then he was unsure of what to say. But one thing he did know was that Misu shouldn’t have been with him. He should have been back enjoying his lunch with Sagara-senpai and he was going to say he believed that. “Arata-san, it is okay? Maybe you should go back to Sagara-senpai.” Misu was busy looking through shirts he thought would look good on Shingyoshi. “I told you. Just do what I tell you to.” After choosing two decent shirts he went through the slacks and found two that appeared to match the shirts. “Try these on.” He weaved his way through the clothing racks hearing Shingyoshi address him again. Shingyoshi followed after Misu and found himself being pushed into one of the dressing rooms, “Wait Arata-san-“ Misu held up the clothes, “Hurry up and get changed.” Knowing he couldn’t argue with the other man Shingyoshi accepted the clothes hand hung them on the provided hooks. First he tried on the stripped shirt and the white jeans. Looking in the mirror he could see Misu shaking his head. Not wanting to disappoint Misu further, he quickly removed the shirt and pants and proceed to try on the darker jeans. Then he slipped into the white shirt with the leaf like pattern. Misu waited until Shingyoshi had pulled the shirt on before reaching up from behind and adjusting the collar. He started fastening the buttons as well. “It looks nice.” And it did. The color complimented Shingyoshi’s skin tone and it made him look very attractive. Shingyoshi wasn’t sure what to do. Besides the exchange of the chocolate, Misu had never been this close to him and he could feel his body tense up. He was taken by surprise when Misu asked him. “Were you throwing me away?” Misu didn’t wait for a response as he continued. “Even though you invited me out. Going out with Hayama and Saki, just what were you thinking?” Wanting to explain himself Shingyoshi turned around. “No that was…” But when he saw the look on Misu’s face he found he couldn’t say anything. “In the first place, not being by his owners side when he’s feeling sick makes you a bad pet.” Misu said. “Who come you didn’t visit me even once?” “That’s… I’m really sorry.” Shingyoshi said knowing his reasons would sound pathetic to Misu’s ears. “You thought you could do that now that you’d already cast me aside? But you can’t do you understand?” Misu asked. Shingyoshi finally realized that Misu wasn’t going to let him just ignore him anymore and he found himself throwing himself into the older boy’s arms. “Arata-san!” He held tight not wanting to let go anytime soon. He was taken by surprise when Misu returned the embrace. Misu pulled Shingyoshi closer and moved his hands along the fabric of the shirt. “This shirt feels pretty nice. Shingyoshi let’s pick this. Wear this and during the summer holiday go on a date with me.” Shingyoshi couldn’t be sure he had heard Misu right. “Huh?” “What? You don’t want to?” Misu asked. Shingyoshi pulled back and looked straight into Misu’s eyes. “Yes, I really do. “Really?” Misu asked already knowing the answer. Shingyoshi continued to looked into the eyes of the man he had fallen for from the first time he had seen him and spoke the very words he would repeat until that man understood and believed him. “Suki desu, Arata-san.”

Kenta I could tell I’d scared him, the way he spun around and backed against the counter the grey eyes wide. Made me feel like shit. I knew how jumpy he could be. What I wasn’t prepared for was to have him suddenly fling himself at me. Not that he didn’t do it that often, I just hadn’t thought a little argument with Akira would set off these kind of tears. I patted his head, stroking his hair as he cried into my t-shirt. I’d come to realize that it calmed him down to have the physical contact. The first few months of working for him had been fucking awkward to say the least. “I should have known . . . I did know . . . I just didn’t think.” Ryuu mumbled his breath hot through the fabric of my t-shirt. I could only assume he was talking about the outfit thing. Akira and Sora had explained why Ryuu had suddenly decided to lock himself in his room at the same time I happened to get to the apartment. “It’s not a big deal, Ryuu. Come on. No reason to cry about it.” “I-I know . . . I just . . . don’t like it when he yells at me.” “Yeah, but you cry when Reiko yells at you too.” “She hits when she yells.” “Fuck yeah. Girl is fucking crazy.” I was glad she wasn’t there to hear me say it. I loved Reiko, but the girl was painful to be around sometimes. God help you if you hurt Akira. You’d be better off cutting off your own balls. “Just, don’t tell her about the outfit.” “No, upset enough with Akira yelling at me, don’t want to get smacked too.” Ryuu finally looked up at me and I felt my heart speed up just a bit as those oddly colored eyes stared at me. “Sorry Kenta. You just get here and I’m being all stupid and emotional.” Grabbing his shoulders I shook him slightly. “What did I say about calling yourself stupid? Quit or I will smack you myself.” Something flickered in his eyes and I felt my stomach drop. I’d seen that look before and it was one I’d never wanted to see again on someone I cared about. The next instant it was gone and he nodded, trying to smile. “I need to go apologize to Akira.” I let him go and stepped out of his way. The slender frame brushed by me and I had the sudden urge to pull him back and make sure he really was alright. Fuck. I rubbed my forehead looking down. What had that look I’d seen been about? I knew where I’d seen it before and that thought scared me shitless. It was my job to keep him safe, safe and happy. I followed him on out into the living room where the other boys were watching a movie. Going to the kitchen I went to see if there were any leftovers. Staring at the empty fridge I knew I shouldn’t be surprised. Hasu might not be any taller than Akira but he ate enough for both of them put together. If he wasn’t eating he was moving or sound asleep. Grabbing out my phone I called the closest carry out and ordered everyone’s favorite things. Akira and Ryuu were still talking when I hung up but things seemed less tense. Ryuu was laughing and smiling again and Akira was gesturing as he described something. Leaning against the counter I watched them for a little bit. The general public had no idea that the members of Bloody Agony were such close friends even outside of work. Ryuu had a lot to do with that. He needed them, just as much as they needed each other. It really was like a little family. While I waited for dinner to arrive, I called Hayate to check on how things were going at the bar. It was a slow night so he told me to stay put. “Daisuike had a bit of a rough day today.” “Oh?” That was unusual. Normally all Daisuike had to do was look at someone to get what he wanted. “Um yeah. From what I heard him and Jiro both got the shit beat out of them.” “What?” I said it too loud and saw the boys look over at me. Turning my back I lowered my voice. I didn't like to involve the band in anything gang related if I could help it. That Akira's brothers ran the gang was enough. “What the fuck happened? Why didn’t they call?” “It went down too fast from what Jiro told me. I guess Ruka is throwing a fit about it though.” I couldn’t say I blamed him. If anyone ever hurt Ryuu . . . I shook my head. It was my job to keep him safe. I’d kill anyone that touched him or any of the boys. “They need anything?” “Nah, though I think Jiro was going to call Akira to come home and help patch them up.” “He ain’t called yet-“ I’d barely got the words out when I heard the distinct ring of Akira’s phone. “Never mind. I gotta go. Talk to you later.” Akira was already on the phone and I frowned watching how pale he suddenly went. “Yeah, yeah I’ll be right there. I gotta go guys. Suke got hurt.” He was already on his feet and headed for the door. The apartment was quiet for a bit after Akira left. Everyone of us knew how close the two brothers where and after almost losing Daisuike a few months ago any little thing scared Akira now. Walking into the living room I put on a movie. I glanced over as Ryuu walked up to me. He glanced up but didn’t hold my eyes for long. “I was . . . just wondering how long you were going to stay tonight?” I looked at him for a moment. “How long do you want me to stay?” A look I’d never seen before crossed his face, but then he glanced away again. “I-I don’t care. I think Sora and Hasu were going to spend the night.” I nodded. That was pretty usual. I knew how much Ryuu hated to be alone. I’d learned pretty quickly that he not only craved attention but needed it. He’d rather skip a meal and do an impromptu signing or meet and greet. If I let him, he’d wear himself to nothing promoting the band. I got the door when the bell rang and took the food thanking the boy. I gave him a generous tip, knowing I’d seen him at another job locally too. I knew what it was like to work multiple jobs just to try to make ends meet. “Hey, foods here guys.” “Oh! You got us food! Sweet! Thanks Kenta!” Hasu, of course, was the first one to the table. He gave me a quick hug, making it impossible to breathe for a moment. The kid was just too fucking strong for his own good. I should know, we sparred with each other on a regular basis. I would seriously get out of shape otherwise and what kind of bodyguard would I be then? Hearing the house phone ring, I frowned and walking over picked it up. The smell of the food was starting to get to me, if I didn’t hurry up Hasu would eat my portion too. He’d already devoured his food and had started on what I’d ordered for Akira. “Ito residence.” “Oh Kenta.” I rolled my eyes hearing Kaori’s trill. “Is my beautiful boy there?” “Yeah, just a sec.” Holding the receiver against my chest I looked around. “Ryuu, it’s your ma.” He jumped up from the table. “Oh! I’m coming.” He smiled at me as he took the phone, his eyes seeming to linger for just a moment. I went back to go see if Hasu had left me any food. “Hey, brat, where is my food.” Hasu looked up at me noddles hanging out of his mouth. He glanced down and had the grace to look sheepish. There were three empty containers around him already. “Sorry.” He pushed the carton toward me and handed over the chopsticks. I handed them back and got my own out. “Fuck Hasu, you ate half of it already. I’m going to kick your ass.” That got me the wide eyed innocent look that he was so famous for. At least it wasn’t fake, usually. I didn’t let it phase me as I stuffed in a mouthful. I waved the now empty chopsticks at him. “Don’t think that look is going to save you. I owe you for last time.” He grinned at me, the cheeky little shit. “Yeah, we’ll see. You said that last time too.” I grunted, shoving in another bite. “Don’t think you know everything about fighting, Hasu. It’s one thing to spar, getting into an actual fight is totally different.” Hasu nodded, his eyes losing some of the innocent sparkle. I could barely hear him when he next spoke. “Yeah, I know.” Clearing my throat I looked around. Sora was sprawled on the couch watching the movie I’d put in, Ryuu had disappeared, probably into the office so he could talk with his mother. “But hey, that’s why we spar right? So we are ready if the time comes.” I didn’t like seeing this subdued side of Hasu. It made me wonder who had fucked with him. A kid as cute and friendly as him shouldn’t have any enemies at all, much less get into fights. He was smarter than me by far and could probably talk his way out of just about any situation. Me . . . I’d rather just get it over with and go on. Words don’t come easy for me. I finished what was left of my dinner and sat back watching him for a moment. He was busy gathering up the empty cartons to throw away. “I probably better get going.” I got up grabbing up my trash. “Jiro might need some help tonight.” Hasu looked up at me. “You might want to tell Ryuu you are leaving. He always gets pouty if you leave without saying anything.” “Oh.” Tossing the cartons I looked down hall, the door to the office was open. “Yeah, I’ll do that.” I poked my head in the office door and grinned seeing him leaning back in the chair, his feet propped up in the desk. The phone was cradled against his shoulder, but he was sound asleep. I could hear the soft murmur of Koari’s voice through the speaker. Walking over, I carefully took the phone laying his head back. “Ito-san, I’m sorry he fell asleep.” I whispered. “Oh,” There was a sigh and a soft laugh from the other end. “I wondered. Thank you for taking such good care of my son, Arakaki-kun. He talks about you all the time.” After telling her good bye I hung up, wondering what she’d meant. Looking down at the sleeping vocalist I shook my head. Why the hell would he talk about me to his mother? Didn’t make a lot of sense to me. Leaning down over him I smiled. “Ryuu, if you are that tired why don’t you go to bed?” His eyelids fluttered for a moment giving the slightest glimpse of grey before closing again. “Will you come with me?”
