Well, when someone says yaoi it pretty much means that there is going to be explicit intimate scenes, not saying the sex in itself will be (in that case it's hard yaoi) or not explicit but it's, at least, fully shown; whereas shounen-ai can be said to be soft yaoi and, for me, it's range goes from merely implying the existence of a couple, to kissing and/or even to soft, partial intimate scenes. While individualy there is no doubt that they are separated by, let's say, intensity, when generaly speaking, a person can refer to either yaoi or shounen-ai to refer to both soft and hard. The concept BL, boys love, in my opinion, it's the best choice to identify the whole of shounen-ai and yaoi, so that it won't be confusing when there's a need to specify which category. (:

I have MANY HOMOPHOPIC friends, and thats exactly the reason why I like to talk with them about yaoi I'm kinnda mean to them it's embarrassing to say but.. till last year I was kinnda homophopic too. now I feel a deep shame about my past.

Well there isn't any english translation in Drame CD... But, If you listen for few time you will got use to it and get some idea... Also, manga... I didn't find any engish translation scanslation one... --;;; The one you saw was Vol.3... So, somehow after that they just did go for it... --;;; Even it is Japanese you still get some idea I think... I can't read Japanese but still I somehow get little bit what the story is about... Also, looking of picture might give you some new story line... Fanfic mean you could go any way you want too... You don't always have to follow original story line... So, that is why I say manga might help... Also, drama cd too... It will be little hard... but... still it is good way to get your inspiration... Well it is best try some thing new might get you go... But, you love the movie so much so it might little to hard to get other... ^^;;; Any way I hope you will get what you want soon... ^^

I think because relationships btwn homosexuals are not mainstream and not as common as heteorsexuals so it is seen as being forbidden and not ethically moral in the eyes of some people of course that couldn't be more farther than the truth as all of us know here. personally, i think it's the "idealism" in it. female mangaka almost always draw very, very beautiful men (usually the uke characters) and some of them look like women already and then when they draw men usually the seme characters, they look strong, straight and gorgeous. another ideal physical trait for a girl to dream about. it's more like roles we could easily identify with. and believe it or not, the most successful ones are those characters which are drawn to look straight-looking too. then you have the bisexual semes. it's incredibly attractive 'cause it takes you to a place where you wish you could be. everything is so pleasing to the eyes and the mind. and since most of these BL/yaoi literature/artwork is done by women authors, they totally can connect with the female readers since this is where they pour out their dreams, wishes like all of us do without sacrificing so much other than your wallet really since you have to buy the manga, videos, drama CDs, etc.

. .it's because we are been open of this kind of generation where in people (both parties), seeking for something new, that is not very common that you can usually see everyday even just by walking on streets, . .that's why, we, girls, are enjoying watching yaoi (soft or hard core), it doesn't matter, cause what really made us hook to it, is the relationship the grows between men, which, in real life, you cannot even witness . at least, by this way, we can at least learn things that may happen between a real gay couple
