“Alright, I can do that. No clients here and don’t lose the key.” Yukie replied as if proving he understood the rules. As Yukie stayed sitting on the edge of the couch the awkwardness was slowly filling the room making it rather uncomfortable for Yukie. Looking at Kai who had been giving him the cold shoulder, well it was nothing new but this time…it felt off…Yukie didn’t always want Kai feeling upset and angry at him. ”…I wouldn’t…hate sharing the bed if you wanted to join me.” Yukie stated so much unease and uncertainty showing in his voice as he offered the split bed to Kai. “The way I see it…long term neither one of us can keep sleeping on your tiny couch and a bunk bed sounds ridiculous. It would just be easier to share a bed. I mean if you’re fine with it that is…I could always find a futon mattress and sleep on the floor in here or in the bedroom if you don’t want to do that.” Yukie added awkwardly as he had never lived with anyone before so he didn’t know exactly what to do when it came to sleeping situations. With his clients he had always been on a couch once finished or wherever he could sleep if they allowed him to stay. If the clients didn’t want him around then he would leave and sleep on the ride home or at his bosses brothel. If he was really lucky there were times where the client would leave and would give him the room till checkout the next morning. ************************************** “You have so much more to explain. You just show up out of nowhere and save me and now you say your babysitting me? Like is this a one time gig or have you been watching me for awhile? Hell who is paying you to even watch me.” Haru asked as he watched the man closer curious as to why he was “babysitting” him it seemed. Watching the lighter open and then close Haru raised a brow only to laugh at the next words that came out of the man’s mouth caught completely off guard. Watching him blow the smoke out the window Haru reached over and gently took the cigarette from the man before bringing it to his lips and deeply inhaling. “Mmh depends on what you consider a pain.” Haru said cheekily as he rolled down his own window and blew out the smoke before relaxing as he looked back over at the man listening to him speak as he held the smoke and stole another long drag before handing it back. Listening to the man Haru leaned towards how cracked window and let out his second puff of smoke before settling back down in his seat fully looking over at the stranger. “….Thank you…for stepping in, I’m sorry…for getting so angry earlier. I’m not a fan of having people constantly step in and fix things. It happens a little lately for me well, it’s become quite a sore spot. I like feeling I can take care of myself. You’re right though if you wouldn’t have stepped in I guess he would have dragged me off if the drink was drugged. Or I could have gotten even more lost and got into worse trouble.” Haru stated as he wasn’t fully naive to danger he just liked to think the world wasn’t as bad as everyone said. Looking towards the front window Haru sighed deeply as he spoke again. ”I’m sorry I dragged you into my mess.” Haru admitted knowing at times he could be problematic to himself and those around him. As Haru sat in silence and watching quietly out the window for a moment he looked over at the man as he spoke again amused by the sudden sincerity in his voice. “Ha! People like you? I’m sorry but I don’t know what kind of “people” you are.” Haru stated with a slight angry huff as he rolled his eyes at the man finding his words ridiculous even if he meant well. “You owe me at least your name, and a drink for my ruined night. In return….I’ll make sure to not immediately call the police or try to dig deeper into who your boss is to try and find what kinda creep has been watching me. Because if I don’t get some answers tonight I’ll have no choice but to relocate my whole life and I really don’t want to pack up my house and move to a small shitty apartment away from my school and work.” Haru bluntly said with a frown he could tell deep inside this man wasn’t an immediate threat to him and he was genuine with his warning. Not to mention that if he had really wanted to hurt Haru he would have done it earlier or now where there were no witnesses. “Once you answer my questions…I can at least process who you are and all of this, “babysitting” stuff.…” Haru added as he moved to get more comfortable in his seat. “I’ll still take you home and bandage you up….Despite everything that’s happened tonight you got hurt because of me it’s only fair I at least help you to pay back your kindness.” Haru stated his voice a touch more gentle and sincere as he was a man of his word and well he wouldn’t just leave someone hurt especially someone who had gotten hurt protecting him. It went against all of his morals and medical training. “…I’ll also…answer anything you need…for your boss, it’s only fair since you’re answering questions for me.” Haru added as he looked away for a moment not liking his next words. “I’ll also make sure to behave and stay home for the night, just so you can take the night off and not worry anymore. Even if you’re suspicious as hell in following me around…I know you mean well and it’s not your fault you had to do this job, if you wanted to hurt me, or your boss wanted to hurt me you would have done it way before now.”
