Julius slid the Strawberry-Basil plate a little closer, eyes trailing the delicate spiral of frosting, the fine sprinkle of crushed basil sugar on top. The color reminded him of summer gardens and late afternoon warm and elegant. He carved out a careful forkful and turned it slowly in his fingers. The thought of Yukie tasting this, of savoring it the way he had the lemon-lavender. Julius wanted to see that again. He leaned in closer, his voice dropping into something lower, smoother. “Let me,” he said, holding out the fork. “I have to practice or I might get is all over you at the wedding. Sure would be a shame. I can't have that.” Not when his eyes still held a faint trace of the weight from earlier, a shadow Julius wasn’t about to let settle again. Not today. "Now just sit back and let me take care of you for a while.” The fork paused midair for only a moment, then he gently brought it to Yukie’s lips. He didn’t rush it. He savored even the small act of offering, watching with quiet intensity as Yukie accepted the bite. Their fingers brushed again, subtle but intentional. Julius let the warmth of the contact linger between them like the aftertaste of sugar on the tongue. He stayed like that for a breath longer than necessary, elbows resting lightly on the table, gaze fixed only on him. The world narrowed to soft light and the sweet perfume of cakes and the man in front of him. “You deserve to be spoiled,” he said softly, almost like an afterthought. But he meant every word. He reached for a linen napkin and leaned in just slightly and dabbed the corner of Yukie’s mouth with gentle fingers. A small, affectionate gesture, done with just care. The kind that didn’t need explanation. After they had enjoy each piece of cake with Julius feeding each piece to Yukie. Julius placed the last forkful down gently on the edge of the Violet & Blackcurrant plate. A small sigh escaped him. He felt content, the quiet that followed and the simple luxury of enjoy themselves. He let his gaze rest on Yukie again, taking in every softened angle of him. The way his posture had relaxed, the way his expression had shifted from guarded to gently open, like a door unlocked and left ajar. Moments like this didn’t demand grand declarations. Julius leaned back just slightly, one arm draped across the back of Yukie's chair beside him. His other hand toyed with the edge of his napkin, then stilled. “Alright,” he asked, voice quiet but edged with curiosity, “which one do you like best?” It wasn’t an idle question. He truly wanted to know. “I mean,” Julius added, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, “you could say they’re all good, but there’s always one that leaves a mark.” He glanced down at the plates again, at the way the lemon-lavender had been reduced to crumbs, the way the Earl Grey still sat mostly untouched. “I think the lemon-lavender’s my favorite,” he admitted, a quiet note of conviction behind the words. “There’s something about it. It reminds me of spring mornings. A little melancholy, but bright.” He paused a beat, then looked down at the Earl Grey cake. The slice was simple, not flashy. Its color was modest, almost plain, but the scent had stayed with him longer than any of the others. “The Earl Grey one’s close though,” he said thoughtfully. “It tastes like rainy days. Like that kind of calm that settles after a storm. It’s not flashy, but it stays with you. I like that.” He leaned forward again, elbows on the table this time, hands loosely folded. “What about you?” he asked, voice gentler. “Which one felt like you could eat it on more than just a special day?” --------------------- Yumro closed his eyes as Haruhi gently ran his fingers through his hair. Yumro let himself sink into the sensation, savoring the quiet comfort of the other's touch. He loved moments like this. The simple warm he felt filling with his mate's presence. "You’re the best," Yumro said softly, smiling as he opened his eyes. "I can’t even remember the last time I had barbecue… but it feels right for the moment. Easy, fun. Something everyone can enjoy." When Haruhi asked about Shan, Yumro gave a small, knowing smile. "He’s lived in the shadows most of his life, it’s just his nature. If he ends up getting hurt, it’ll probably be because he tripped over his own feet," he added with a chuckle. Then, turning back to Haruhi, Yumro gently caught his hand, lifting it to his lips. He kissed each finger slowly, one by one, as if memorizing the shape of them. Holding on to the stillness between them for just a little longer before he had to rise and set the grill up. "I like that you are comfort going through the place to find the wine I have stored here. I got nothing to hid from you, and all that is mine is yours too. It is sexy. Damn... almost 10 years and nothing? Whoa! But, well, not a lot of people know Marine Heart anyways. Either way, I have these files on hand! I'm really not that far in... I need to play more of this game! It's kinda interesting. MEDIAFIRE: Link! 872.54 MB. zip file Includes: An autorun folder, a DirectX folder to set up DirectX 7, a folder containing the isos, a hidden folder labelled "GRD"- probably game data, a save folder, a script folder- also probably game data, a folder for the Special Disk iso, a hidden folder for wavs used in the game, some kind of product updates folder, some kind of updater for some old school Windows thing- I guess- called 401COMUPD, an autorun .inf file, a .dll, another .dll, the game icon as an .ico file, a readme by Marine Heart, a SaiSys .bin file, a setup exe, a setup .inf file, the background of the startup as a .bmp, the startup as an .exe, a troubleshooting .txt file by Marine Heart, and a readmefirst by Marine Heart. (Boy... that was a lot to type.) Ah... y'know... I didn't know in the "Disks" folder the Special Disk was there already. Um... oops. LOL. Ignore/delete the folder I made, I guess. I honestly just zipped all the files I already extracted and stuff from the iso I think. For installation I think if you click the setup .exe and go through with the process, it'll be alright probably LOL. But if anyone encounters problems, I can at least try to help!
