  1. Past hour
  2. Asher didn’t move at first. He’d been still for hours, posture held with the kind of rigid restraint that only came from years of training for hours. Asher’s golden eyes locked on the figure in the bed. Honestly he wasn’t bad looking even he could admit to that. Just why the hell was he with Noah. When Kaito woke up it wasn’t a suprise he seemed groggy and disoriented. Asher's wolf surged forward in response, watching just beneath the surface of his skin. He was awake...now he could talk. Asher straightened slowly, pushing off the wall with the fluid grace of a predator that had just spotted movement in the underbrush. He didn’t urge forward or bare his teeth. He didn’t need to. His presence alone filled the room. He walked over to the edge of the hospital bed, boots silent against the linoleum floor, stopping just short of the monitors. The soft beeping of the machines marked time in the thick, pressing silence. His voice was a bit quiet, but it carried an edge. “You’re in St. Liora General Hospital,” he told the other, tone neutral and controlled. “You were found unconscious in a sealed stairwell. Gas in the air... magic-tainted.” He paused just long enough to make sure that part sank in. “You were found along with another person.” Another pause. Longer this time. He wanted the silence to work like a blade cutting, for answers. “However you were the only one left alive.” The air in the room was thick, as if even the walls could feel the tension radiating off of him. It was very suspicious how this guy was the only one there aside from Nathan when it happened. Asher tilted his head, just a fraction. His eyes were studying Kaito. He didn’t trust the man, it was the way the magical residue still clung to his skin. His senses were screaming, his wolf was pacing itching for a fight..and still, Asher forced himself to remain steady. No snarling or snapping. He needed answers. But every instinct in him told him the truth might not be easy to hear. He placed a glass of water infront of Kaito. To help with his dry throat. “Explain what happened.” There was no anger in his voice, just a cold, direct command.
  3. Chase eased into the warm water slowly and careful, sighing as it cradled his body. The heat seeped into his bones, soothing places he hadn’t realized were tense. His hand instinctively came to rest on his stomach, fingertips brushing over the slight curve that hadn't even begun to form. It still didn’t feel entirely real, how could it? They were the first in over a hundred thousand years. The everyone knew about it from ancient texts, half-believed myths of dragonkind’s past, but now here it was, living proof. He leaned back, letting the warmth envelop him like a cocoon. The scent of the oils Leo had added filled the air. lavender and chamomile. His eyes fluttered shut for a moment. He wanted to enjoy this, to feel peace. But under the calm surface of the bath, the currents of his thoughts swirled. His fingers traced circles on his stomach. What kind of child would they bring into the world? He didn’t even know if his body would carry the child like a human’s or if something entirely different would happen. No one knew. No one could know. The anxiety coiled in his chest but Chase had to stay calm. He took a deeper breath and forced himself to exhale slowly. He wanted this. The thought of creating life with Leo filled him with a sense of purpose. But he also feared what that meant. For his body. For his mind. For them. Would Leo still see him the same once things changed more? Once the pregnancy advanced? He didn’t look different yet. But that would change. Everything was going to change. And yet, beneath all the worry, there was something else. A spark of awe. A quiet pride. He was doing this. Something impossible. 'Okay, one day at a time.' He thought to himself. Looked at Leo he knew the other worried too but everything was still so new to both of them. "So.. what is the plan for today. And don’t say I need more rest. I'm not gonna be stuck in bed just yet" --------------------- Jay let out a low chuckle, the sound rich and satisfied, like a dragon purring over a hoard it had collected. He watched Winston from beneath hooded eyes, the kind of gaze that could pin a man in place more effectively than chains ever could. Every inch of Winston’s flushed, wrecked form was seared into Jay’s memory like sacred scripture. Something he could worship again and again and never get tired of. “Damn right I’m possessive,” Jay murmured, fingers still gliding along Winston’s skin, slow and deliberate, dragging over the parts he knew made the dragon twitch. “You think I'm the type to share?” Jay had bedded many, but he had pursued only one. And Winston hadn’t made it easy. The man had tried every possible method to push him away. Sarcasm, snarling insults, flat-out ignoring him. But Jay hadn’t budged. He'd fallen the moment Winston had barked his first order in that sharp, commanding tone, eyes like flint and jaw set like he’d fight the whole damn world with a broken blade if he had to. That rough attitude, that razor mouth, it had all only made Jay more curious and later bloomed into love. Now, with Winston trembling from his touch, voice gone soft and wrecked, Jay felt like he’d won the fiercest battle of his life. And unlike the battlefield, this victory didn’t need recognition for any attachments. He didn’t just want Winston, in his bed. He wanted him in his life. In his arms every godsdamned night. The thought was terrifying but it honestly didn’t bother him. Jay leaned in, brushing his lips over Winston’s temple, careful. His voice was lower now, rougher. “I know you think I’m just some entitled royal asshole who likes pretty things,” he said, dragging his fingers lightly along Winston’s waist. “And maybe I did, once. But not with you.” He paused, letting the words hang in the air for a moment. “You’re not some trophy. You’re the only thing I don’t want the world to touch.” He let that linger before his smirk returned, cocky as ever, though there was something softer in the edges now. Something almost vulnerable. “So yeah. I’m possessive as hell. Deal with it, Captain.”

  6. How long has it been since he started to check each and every door in hopes of finding an exit. An hour? Two? He was getting tired and also now that is pace slowed he noticed that there were no more voices in the distance. Nothing. Exhausted, he dropped on his ass, leaning to the wall, taking deep breaths. He felt lost. He felt hopeless. what the hell is this place, his inner voice sounded like an echo in the place. As he was resting, he heard a door open in the distance which let noises come through. There were chirping sounds and other voices but more light then before. Frowning he got up and moved slowly to the door and after taking a deep breath he stepped through the door and the bright light made him close his yes for a second. Before he could open them, he was outside and behind him was a country house. how the hell makes that sense? he thought as he walked pass the house and found a small aley way between the house and a chain fense. "KAITO! RUN!" a voice from up the hill shouted at him. A voice that he knew to well. Noah?! he thought as he lift his gaze and saw his friend rushing him to run towards him. His face was worried and scared. Was this a dream? Was he alive? But this place wasn't real so how could he be ... Before he could take a step towards Noah, Kaito heard two growls coming from behind the fence. There were two big wolfs with sharp teeth that looked like they were in frenzy and just saw him, the perfect meal. Without thinking too much he started running towards his friend, in hopes to reach in time. There was a hellicopter on top, behind Noah which was ready for taking off. Was Noah asking him to go with him? The wolfs started running after him growling like crazy and they had somehow managed to get out of the fence and follow him now almost getting to him. As the helicopter was taking off, Noah leamed forward reaching his hand towards Kaito to take it. In a rush he jumped in hopse to take it but he was slowly falling down making him close his eyes as he knew he was going to be dog food. But in the last minute Noah reached out to him, caught his arm and pulled him up. wake up friend ... they need you, Noah whispered before everything went black. Kaito woke up with a deep breath like he had swimmed and was almost drowning. Blinking a few times he looked around not understanding where he was at first or how he got there. He grown as his head was throbbing like hell and he was feeling still dizzy. "Where am i?" he managed to say, feeling his mouth dry.

  9. Asher crouched beside the boy’s unconscious body, eyes narrowing. There was something off about him, something his instincts didn’t like. He didn’t recognize it, the guy was not anyone he remembered seeing either, not from the pack, not from anywhere. And yet he reeked of Noah. And then there was another scent that clung to the man, in a way that made Asher feel uneasy. He brought in a cautious breath to analyze it. Sneeze! His head jerked to the side with a sharp, involuntary sneeze. He wiped his nose quickly, annoyed, and tried again. Another sneeze. "Shit," he muttered, rising to his feet, glaring down at the boy. That wasn’t normal. Not unless the scent was cloaked with magic. His wolf snarled just beneath the surface, hackles raised. Magic and werewolves rarely mixed. Especially not uninvited. Logan arrived just as the paramedics were lifting the kid onto a stretcher. His brother's presence was grounding, but even now Asher didn’t ease up. Asher’s eyes flicked toward Logan’s hand, then to his face. There was concern in his brother’s eyes, yes—but also fear. Not for himself, but for Asher. For what he might do. “I am thinking,” Asher muttered, voice low and strained. “And what I’m thinking is that this wasn’t just some break-in gone wrong.” He shifted slightly, easing the person back down to the floor as the paramedics rushed in. He stood slowly, watching as they assessed the man. He was breathing now, but shallowly, like his lungs had forgotten how to function without help. Asher stepped back, running a hand over his mouth and jaw, trying to steady himself. He looked around the stairwell, then to the trail of white residue left behind from the gas. His wolf senses were still on edge, fur prickling under the surface of his skin. Something about the whole scene felt wrong. Like it was all staged deliberate. He turned, expression tight, voice sharp with command. “Logan,” he said firmly, “I need you to take care of Noah’s body. Personally. Make sure no one touches him unless absolutely necessary.” Logan blinked, startled by the force in Asher’s tone. He could tell his brother was worked up. “Yeah… of course. But what are you—?” “I’m not letting that.” He gestured toward Kaito as the medics started wheeling him away. “Out of my sight. He’s the only living witness I have right now. And I don’t know who the hell he is.” Logan opened his mouth to say something but thought better of it. Asher’s gaze darkened. “His scent is just wrong. It’s got something in it. A magical residue. I sneezed just breathing it in.” That made Logan pause, the implication hitting him hard. “You think he’s involved?” “I don’t know yet,” Asher admitted tightly. “And that’s the problem. I know very little about Noah after he moved out. This guy? rather if he is a total stranger or not. He was with him, and now Noah’s dead and he’s unconscious in the same building with magical fumes leaking off him like perfume. That’s too many damn questions and not enough answers.” Logan glanced toward the stretcher. “The police are going to want to question him—” “They’ll wait.” Asher cut him off. “I will question him first. When he wakes up, I want to be there. I want to see his face when I ask him what happened. I’ll know if he’s lying.” Logan frowned. “You’re letting your wolf talk right now.” “I am my wolf,” Asher snapped, then exhaled, dragging a hand down his face. “This happened in our territory. My territory. A murder, caused potentially by magic. I don’t care if that kid’s innocent or guilty. I won’t leave our only witness unguarded.” He looked back toward the hallway and thought of Noah’s already cold body, his jaw clenching hard. “I owe him that much.” There was silence between the brothers, broken only by the low murmur of officers and the flashing blue-red lights outside. Finally, Logan nodded. “Alright,” he said. “I’ll make the arrangements with Noah. Make sure they treat him right. You go fl your thing, but don’t kill him if it turns out his innocent.” Asher gave a single, grateful nod. Then he turned sharply on his heel, his movements all tension and coiled restraint as he followed the stretcher out of the gallery, his eyes locked on the unconscious man. He didn’t know who this stranger was or what his role in all this might be. But Asher would find out. And if he had anything to do with Noah’s death… Nothing in this world or the next would protect him. The ambulance doors swung open, and Asher climbed in without asking permission. The paramedics hesitated, exchanging a glance, but something in his eyes—cold, sharp, and absolute made neither of them question it. They knew better than to argue with someone who carried authority in his bones like that. He settled into the bench beside the stretcher where the unconscious body lay, arms folded, posture rigid. The overhead lights flickered against the steel of his jaw, highlighting every strained muscle, every line of control he refused to lose. His eyes never left the person's face. His wolf was still uneasy. Every few breaths, the scent of the magic residue made Asher’s nose twitch. It was weakening now. But It was stuck to the man like a curse, and that made Asher's skin itch. Something about this entire scene stank of manipulation. Not just murder. A message, maybe. A warning. Or bait. The ambulance rumbled through the city streets, sirens whining in the distance. Asher didn’t move, didn’t speak. He just watched, listened, and waited. The hospital smelled like antiseptic and cleaning chemicals but not enough to mask the smell of the sick and dying. Asher followed the stretcher down the corridor, ignoring the glances cast his way by nurses and staff. They could feel the weight of him. Even without knowing who he was, they sensed it. Predator. Alpha. Authority. When the paramedics rolled the boy into a private room, Asher followed without a word. As the door shut behind them, a nurse tried to protest. “Sir, this area is restricted—” He met her gaze, slowly, and said with iron calm, “I’m not leaving.” There was no argument after that. Hours passed. The hospital dimmed as the night wore on, but Asher remained exactly where he was, leaning against the wall by the window, arms crossed, eyes fixed on the bed. He didn’t sit. He didn’t pace. Like a wolf guarding his den. The person.. Kaito was it, someone had found his fills and he'd heard the nurse whisper it outside. Well Kaito was pale and still laying unconscious. He was hooked up to monitors that beeped steadily into the silence. Nurses came and went, checking vitals, adjusting tubes. Every time someone entered the room, Asher’s eyes tracked them, silently evaluating threats, judging intent. More than once, his presence made them rush their tasks. He didn’t care. The world outside the window shifted from pitch black to the deep grey of pre-dawn. The city was beginning to wake, but Asher hadn’t moved. His wolf paced inside him, restless, circling. 'Wake up!' he thought, eyes narrowing as he needed answers. The truth of what ad happened.
