[ ”…I’ve never been on a real date. I mean…I’ve gone places and been a “date” for my clients”] Kai paused hearing this. He took a moment to stop, looking back at Yukie. "Its fine...I'll just be the first. " Together the two of them headed inside, and Kai was surpised by how well Yukie knew the place, admitting he was a 'frequent flyer'. He knew the pass codes to doors and at one point the two of them had to get passed a security guard. This underground world that Yukie was apart of...he really knew nothing about. He felt like an outsider. No wonder Yukie had a hard time believing in him.... could he really rescue him from this world? After walking for what seemed like hours, they finally reached a back room, already prepped. Kai hesitantly took a sit as Yukie undressed. Being a gentleman, Kai turned away, giving Yukie some privacy. Only when Yukie was wearing his gown did Kai finally look at him. Kai couldn't help but notice how calm and comfortable Yukie was, like he'd been here a thousand times. And suddenly, a man walked in, [ ”Marcy let me know you looked like absolute shit, she’s betting at least a broken rib or concussion.” ] Kai stared at the man, he had never seen him before, but judging by the way he spoke and his mannerisms, he was comfortable around Yukie. The conversation continued, only stopping when the man noticed his presence and became suspicious. Yukie quickly stepped in, dispite not knowing what to call him... Was he a friend...a roommate? They weren't close enough to be considered romantic partners....and yet... there relationship was...rather unique. [ ”It’s fine, Ari. He knows, he’s…well…you’re free to speak as usual.” ] So his name was Ari... Scolding followed, with a tone of worry and concern. It seemed like Ari had a heart. Dispite being paid under the table to take care of druggies and escorts, he seemed to genuinely care about Yukies well being. Hearing Yukie rate his pain from a scale of 1-10 and tell Ari about the number of partners he had since his last check up was hard to listen to. It was alot....more than Kai was comfortable with....but he did his best to ignore his pent of jealousy and irritation. Hiding it behind a indifferent poker face. After inspecting Yukie, Ari informed them that there wasnt any horrible internal trauma but he didnt let Yukie off the hook. Ari made it his mission to let Yukie know just how lucky he was and that he couldn't keep doing this to himself. [" You’re malnourished and if I’m guessing right you haven’t been sleeping much.”] When Ari mentioned drugs Kai's couldn't help but bite his lip, his expression turning grim. Yukie was using again...using heavier drugs... Just hearing this brought back painful memories.... Kai could put up with alot of things...but drugs...wasn't one of them. [ ”Yukie….look, brutal honesty-----] Kai wasn't listening....his mind wondering to a time where his mother use to beat him. Screaming and yelling because he had flushed her stash down the toilet or she was going through withdrawals. "YOU LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT!!" "WHERE DID YOU HIDE IT!" "I WISH YOU'D NEVER BE FUCKING BORN!" Fits of rage coming out of no where only for her to suddenly start crying and begging, growling at his feet desperately apologizing. "Sweetie~ I'm so sorry..m-mommy didn't mean that." "You know I love you.." "You'll forgive me right?" Things would constantly go missing...and there was hardly ever any food in the house...Kai hated coming home from school...because he never knew which version on his mother he was going to get...of if she'd even be home... For a brief moment the expression on Kai's face was blank....he was only pulled out of his thoughts when Yukie suddenly took his hand. His eyes widening ever so slightly. This gentle touch...brought him back. [ ”Ari, I’m only working for a year, one final year before I can leave Miskha. I want to change…I’m making an exit plan and it’s why…Miskha or the guardians aren’t here with me. I came here because I need to have a full blood panel done…I know I’ve been safe but I’ve done so much stuff that could put Kai at risk. I want a life with him.”] Kai frozen. He was staring up at Yukie now...and he felt something inside him shift. A warm rush of happiness... did Yukie...really mean that? He was serious about this? About him? About them? Enough to risk it all....Enough to run away with him.... Is that why Yukie refused to sleep with him in the past? Because he was worried that he'd give him something? [ "I want a life with him."] Kai squeezed Yukies hand. Those words kept repeating in his mind...that was all the reassurance he needed. Yukie asked for pain killers and medicine as well as a way for him to get clean and wean himself off the drugs. He wanted to detox himself ...he wanted to escape Miskha. [ “Fuck…..you can’t…ask for that stuff…”] Ari seemed distraught by such a bold request. His body language shifting as he looked more uncomfortable. Kai turned to him, "Please..." he asked softly. His tone holding so much weight. A long moment passed before Ari gave in, having Yukie sit back on the table. He took his blood, agreeing to help. [ “I’ll help you. I’ll give it to your….Kai so Miskha never knows I’m helping you….but if you don’t come back in a year to see me completely clean…I’ll never see you again. I’ll wash my hands of you, I can’t watch you kill yourself anymore with this life your choosing, you keep coming in hurt like this…I can’t keep begging you to live.”] Kai sighed softly as he stared at the ground. He was greatful, and he'd do his best to help Yukie get clean... Ari’s request was fair....and Kai deeply understood and related to his words. The same way Ari felt...was how he felt about his mother...he couldn't keep begging and watching her spiral. It was just ....too much. The silence after Ari’s words hung heavy in the air as he took alot of blood samples from Yukie, leaving him rather tired and light headed. When the check up was finally over Ari informed Yukie that he'd text them the results later tonight and that he could get dressed. Kai quickly thanked Ari before he left, taking the black bag of supplies and medicine. Ari was even kind enough to bandage Yukies broken ribs and patch him up, applying ointment to his cuts and bruises so they wouldn't scare or get infected. Kai was surprised when the man gave him a thick stack of papers. They were detailed instructions on each medicine since Yukie would need to be on a strict routine to get clean. Kai took it with confidence, thanking Ari once more. "I'll take care of him..." [ “You’ll feel a bit off. Trade off on driving for a bit. Make sure to eat.” ] He told Yukie before giving him a hug...and Kai couldn't help but smile seeing the unique bond they shared. Before leaving Kai watched as Yukie took some medicine to help with his aches and pains. Just like before... they had walked in hand and hand...and together they were now leaving hand in hand...but Kai was far more content and confident now that Yukie was taking serious steps to be with him... When they had reached Yukie's motorcycle, the gray eyed male handed Kai the keys, but he didn't immediately accept them. Kai had controlled himself...and patiently waited until they were in the parking lot again before he made his move. For once...he hoped Yukie would allow him to be selfish. He reached out, and touched Yukies check, gently cupping his face as he slowly leaned forward, briefly making full eye-contact with Yukie before pressing his lips aginest his in a soft and tender kiss... This was their first...and Kai was going to put everything he had into it...it started off slow...his lips moving with intention, before his tongue skillfully slipped passed Yukies defenses, exploring his mouth and getting a taste of him. Kai had his eyes closed so he could really savor this moment...the kiss only lasting less than 30 seconds before Kai spoke softly...his lips no longer pressed against Yukies but still grazing his, not wanting to fully part ways. His breath was warm, voice gentle, as he took a moment to run his thumb over Yukie's bottom lip. "s-sorry...I should of asked first...but I...wanted to do that since hearing you say that you wanted a life with me..." he whispered. His kiss was so gentle...Kai was far more courteous and cautious with how he handled Yukie. Nothing like his clients who saw him and immediately wanted to ravish him... Kai saw Yukie...and wanted to love and cherish him. Kai saw Yukie as something to cherish... "Yue...can I...kiss you again.." his whispered, his arm already grabbing Yukies waist so he could pull him in.
