“Thanks.” Yukie replied as he walked around to it and carefully pushed it out of the storage locker before parking it. Going to a larger tote Yukie dug through the helmets before finding one that would fit Kai and set it on the back seat of the bike. “Well by train it’s an hour, driving it’s at least four hours. It’s a ridiculous commute, but it’s who we all go see when we need more than just a simple checkup.” Yukie explained as he was trying to explain whithout worrying Kai too much about some bits of his fucked up world. ”Basically, Miskha my boss pays this doctor very handsomely to see us all he doesn’t ask questions or call the cops for some of our injuries.” Yukie mentioned with a gesture of his hand to the black and purple neck marks and the obvious battered face. “Normally I would see a doctor closer to home but Miskha won’t allow it, there would be questions about who beat me, why I want blood tests, why I need x rays and a more thorough examination ect. Then the police would be called because I can’t answer anything… it’s just a whole thing. Miskha is just wanting to avoid any issues and I don’t want to deal with pissing him off or being in a holding cell for who knows how long. It’s just easier in the end to do as asked and make a longer trip.” Yukie finished as he grabbed his small bike bag and checked he had everything in it before clipping it to the bike. Turning back to the storage locker Yukie moved to close the heavy door only to stop as his hand was grabbed by Kai. Turning to look at Kai in confusion he met his eyes and stopped seeing so much…well Yukie could only describe it as unease. “….well, I thought it would be nice to include you more in my life. Maybe I wanted you to join me instead of a co worker. Maybe I didn’t want to deal with my boss escorting me there and back…or it being a weekend trip for him.” Yukie stated slightly sarcastically as he was hiding some deeper emotions about how he felt about the others going in Kai’s place. ”Maybe…just maybe I wanted to go with someone who made me feel comfortable…someone safe.” Yukie added his voice firm and less sarcastic as he looked away not liking how bitter the truth came out and how weak he felt admitting he didn’t want anyone else to watch him be poked and prodded he felt almost uncomfortable lately around anyone else but Kai. “Look…it was just really to see if I would enjoy letting you in be in my life more. A doctor’s appointment is simple to ask to go to…at the same time it’s intimate….if I get uncomfortable or feel uneasy, I could just ask you to wait outside. If I want support you could hold my hand. I just- I found it easier to gauge how I feel…how casual living together things might work between us without making either of us uneasy or awkward.” Yukie explained pulling his hand away his walls instantly going back up as he felt uneasy defending why Kai should go with him…it wasn’t like they were together so why was he afraid of telling Kai his feelings just now? Yukie let out an annoyed huff as he unknowingly to himself got a touch defensive at his embarrassment explaining this to Kai. As Yukie stood beside Kai, he was so desperately trying to go back to being open and trusting again with his words. Yukie struggled with trying to explain his life his world, it was hard to trust Kai fully sometimes. As Yukie stood there beside Kai…he could only remember Miskha’s words wrapping around his mind replying over and over like a broken record…the same sadistic truth screaming out on what would happen to Yukie if he trusted Kai fully. ”Anything else you need to know?” Yukie asked as he bent down to check the bike in an obvious way of trying to busy himself. He just checked a few things only frowning as he caught one small thing that looked off. Muttering some obscenities Yukie stood up and went back into the storage locker to a small toolbox, carrying it back to the bike he set it down trying to figure out a simple problem with the start. The problem seemed to be one that any beginner mechanic would know just by glancing at the bike, this just proving even more that it was a miracle the bike was even functional under Yukie’s care.

By the time Kai had finished his shower and dressed, Yukie seemed ready to go. He entered the bedroom just as Kai finished brushing his teeth. He was wearing a white t-shirt, a dark blue jeans, and a matching jean jacket. His hair was messy, but Kai didn't really care to brush it. He was alittle suprised to see Yukie wearing such casual clothes. He didn't mind it tho, it suited him. He watched as Yukie searched his duffle bag, only to pull out some keys and wallet. [ “Hurry up, I need to make a short stop to get our ride ready. Hopefully you don’t mind learning how I get around when it comes to larger distances.” ] Kai titled his head to the side, not sure what Yukie ment By that. " I'm ready...we can go." He said softly. ________________________________ When Yukie lead him to a storage locker, he was a bit confused. What were they doing here? Kai assumed Yukie got around by train, or taxi...he was not expecting a motorcycle. Kai kept his hands in his pockets as he tried to process what he was seeing. Motorcycles were expensive...and they required monthly maintenance, so how did Yukie have one? Why is he just now finding out about this? How long has it had it? Wasn't Yukie in debt? Wasn't he being forced to sleep woth people for money? To make ends meet? Didn't he just give him 2,000 the other day after he was beaten by his boss and jipped by a shity client? "nice...bike..." he muttered. Was this a gift from his boss? A client? Or was Yukie...using him? If he could afford a bike like that...why didn't he have a place of his own? Was he in debt because of a bike? Or some other reason ? Kai wanted to ask...and yet...at the same time a part of him didn't want to know the answer...because maybe ..just maybe...he was wrong about Yukie... Did Yukie really need saving? Or was this all an act...a sham...a lie. Kai was conflicted...but his face remained motionless. Who knew Yukie....could ride a bike. He was already regretting his decision. "How far are we going..." He avoided eye contact. He had lost an entire month of his savings in order to help Yukie...and had called off work to come with him... Was this a mistake? He needed all the money he could get right now...so was he just wasting his time tagging along? "hey Yue...." He grabbed his hand, stopping him for a moment as their eyes met. ( I need to know ) " Why did you want me...to come along..."
