Julius’s heart fluttered at Yukie’s tender words and affectionate gestures. The way Yukie kissed his hand and whispered sweet nothings. It was like something out of a storybook. In those moments, Yukie truly felt like a prince from a fairytale, and Julius was hopelessly enchanted. Gods, his mate was so effortlessly charming. A warm blush crept up Julius’s cheeks, and a shy smile tugged at his lips, impossible to hide. He adored Yukie’s playful side too. Even though Julius doubted he could create anything nearly as beautiful as Yukie could, he still wanted to try. Because why not? He knew Yukie would never mock him. Atleast, not in any cruel way. His teasing was always light, affectionate, full of love. “Okay, go wild,” Julius said with a soft chuckle, genuinely excited at the idea of doing something fun and maybe a little childish together, even if the end result was less than perfect. A small spark lit in his eyes as he added, “I think I want to make you a flower crown too.” It didn’t matter if it turned out lopsided or messy. It would be made with love, and that was more than enough. Julius sat cross-legged on the floor, surrounded by flower stems and ribbon scraps, trying to make something vaguely crown-shaped. He had no idea what he was doing. But a store employer was guiding him through the steps. Every time he tried to twist a few stems together, they either snapped or slid loose. The petals were so delicate, they practically wilted under his thumbs. Meanwhile, Yukie elegant and graceful as always moved somewhere nearby, probably making his own bouquet or crown look like something straight out of a styled magazine shoot. Julius didn’t dare glance over. He didn’t need the comparison right now. He frowned in concentration, tongue poking out slightly as he fumbled with a particularly stubborn bloom. His hands were too stiff, too clumsy. His fingers never quite did what he wanted them to. Still, he wasn’t really frustrated. There was something fun about all this. The freedom to be playful, to make something badly, to not be good at something and still be welcome in the space. Yukie’s space. Their space. He glanced down at his ^flower crown.^ It was crooked. A few petals had fallen. One side was fuller than the other. Honestly, it looked like it had been made by a child with mittens on. But he smiled anyway. He wasn’t trying to impress Yukie. He just wanted to be part of this little pocket of time, where wedding plans turned into harmless chaos, and even clumsy hands could try their best. He picked up the crown carefully and cradled it in his palms. It was a mess. But it was something he had made. He looked around the store for the other. He could hear him about but not really sure what he was doing. He guessed he would properly find Yukie with glitter sticky fingers. After locating Yukie he walked up to him but didn’t get into his way as he slowly tried placing the flower crown on top of Yukie’s head. ... Honestly it liked more like a messy bird nest. If birds picked flowers "It is not winning any prizes, but I gave it my best shot" he told Yukie as he watched what Yukie was doing. -------------- Yumro watched the flames flicker, the fire now settled into a steady burn. The scent of charred meat and seasoned vegetables mingled in the air, carried by the gentle breeze coming off the ocean. He took a moment to roll his shoulders, muscles tense from leaning over the fire too long. The others began settling down behind him, he didn’t turn to join them just yet. He crouched by the fire and stirred the coals one more time, to ensure the warmth would cool and prevent any fire hazards. It was the kind of habit that followed after long missions, after survival drills. Yumro turned just slightly, watching the group as they found seats. Haruhi leaned comfortably, already eating with the distracted focus of someone who hadn’t realized how hungry they were until food was in front of them. "You can all eat as much as you want. I can always make more if this isn’t enough" he told them. The boys were making their own plates, from everything placed at the center of the table. And no meat was touching the vegetables. The contrast between the two boys reminded Yumro of things he rarely allowed himself to dwell on. The way Shan held himself back, just a little. Like he was still waiting for someone to give him permission to be a part of something. Still he was a bright kid around his family. Yumro didn’t pity the boy. That would’ve been an insult. He understood the kind of solitude that didn’t always look like loneliness. There was a small tug in Yumro’s chest. And he smiled, as he moved toward the table. He sat with his back to the sea, the fire at his right side, the others positioned within his peripheral vision. He began to eat in silence while listening to the people around him. There was peace in being a part of this group. Their little family might not be completly normal. But they made it work in their own ways. Shan was talking around the table about this and that with both Haru and Haruhi. It was almost like silence made him uncomfortable, that or he was just happy and exited for being out here with every one. At some point Yumro had to mendel in and tell Shan to eat first or else one of the food would ever enter his mouth. "Did you boys find out where you’re gonna sleep tonight?" Yumro asked after Shan had gotten a few bites down. "Aside from the master bedroom you can choose freely" "I want to sleep upstairs in the big room with all the glass and ceiling." Shan made sure to swallow the food in his mouth before speaking up again. "I wanna sleep under the stares."

Cody blushes bright red as he covers his face embarrassingly, turning his head to the side slightly.

Cody continues watching the advertisements as he rests his head on Cory's arm.
