Asta's fell silent, eyes wide as Leon suddenly closed the distance between them, and placed his palm over his mouth and trembling lips. A stray tear fell from his cheek as their eyes met. Leon took his hand, and rested it on his cheek. He could feel the warmth of Leon body seep into his skin. He was terrified... terrified that he hurt Leon by telling him the truth... that what they had was too broken to be fixed. ["Breathe, Asta, just breathe."] Asta closed his eyes, and did as Leon instructed. Breathing in and out. Taking slow and methodical deep breaths, until he regained his composure. He never needed to do stuff like this until the incident. It was times like these that he felt so helpless.... Once his breathing had finally steadied and trembling eased, Leon spoke again. [ "Asta. Look at me."] Asta hesitated. He was honestly scared to. He was scared to see that look on his face again. The look of heartbreak....he waited for a long moment, before he finally opened his eyes, and lifted them to meet Leon's gaze, and when their eyes met, tears started to immediately fall from his eyes again. [ "I don't doubt your feelings... So... do you doubt mine?"] Asta bit his lip, shaking his head. (No...no I could never...) [" I love you, Asta. And I never want you to be afraid of me."] A long stretch of silence slipped between them before Leon did something that caused Asta to catch his breath. His eyes changed color, and his pupils shifted into feline slits. [ "This....is still me, Asta."] ( Leon...) Those golden eyes stared back at him. His heart felt like it was hammering against his rib cage, every instinct he had was screaming at him to run! But even though Leon's eyes had changed into something different and supernatural, they were oddly...beautiful and mesmerizing...and he still saw the tenderness behind those beastly eyes. The face was still Leon's, the voice was still Leon's... [ "Does this version of me scare you?"] Asta's hand trembled against Leon's cheek. Leon was desperate.... he needed something from him...hope...conformation....clarity....acceptance.In this moment Leon was asking him to look at him, really look at him. Asta forced himself to breathe. In. Out. In. Out. His thumb moved—just barely—brushing against Leon's cheekbone. The gesture was small... He didn't pull away. He hesitated... unsure how to convey his emotions. He wasn't scared of Leon...or his true form necessarily...what scared him were the memories...the fact that Leon looked similar to the shape shifters that attacked him, hurt Sora, and tied him up. "...Y-Yes," he whispered. Asta's eyes were wet, but he didn't look away. He couldn't. Not when Leon needed him.... "This part of you—it scares me." His voice trembling, " B-Because... I'm reminded of that day...and s-sometines its h-hard for me to separate it..." Leon's expression flickered—pain, resignation, the beginning of a retreat—but Asta's hand tightened on his cheek! He stumbled on his words, "B-but I don't want to be scared. I know...I know that y-your different...I know that your not like them..." He said it with more force this time. Determined. "I don't want to run away or flinch away from you... I don't want to spend the rest of my life afraid of your true form... That's not fair to you...a-and I'm sorry....I've been stuck in that moment...t-that day...for so long—reliving it, hating it a-and myseld, letting it r-ruin my life...o-our life...And I'm so tired, Leon. I'm so tired of being afraid." His voice cracked. "I-I want to love every part of you, b-because you deserve it....And I—" He swallowed hard.... ( Owe you...i owe you so much Leon....) " I p-promise..." ( I won't give up... ) because Leon didnt give up on him when he couldn't walk. So how could he ever give up on Leon? " I promise to l-love every part of you one day...s-so please s-show me! I want to get there. I want to work through this, even if it's hard or p-painful. Even if it takes time. Because losing you–would be worse than facing my fear." He stepped closer, leaning in. He wanted to learn how to overcome his fears and embrace Leon in all his forms. He wanted to learn more about his secret life and understand what its like for him to be a shap shifter. He wanted to separate the incident and Leon. He wanted to love all of Leon, even the parts he still might not know. " because..your worth it Leon..." He pressed his forehead against Leon's, closing his eyes. "S-so...promise me..." ( Help me....understand...) " A-and in return I promise...to stay by your side...and love all of you...a-and only you..." A few stray tears fell down his cheeks, as he struggled to get his next words out, "I don't want to lose you," he whisper. ─── Fang took in Sora's expression, how his heart beat fluttered when he stepped into the living room, how he couldn't stop smiling at him. [ "You could've fool me. I think you may be more of an romantic then you let on. I mean this is.. wow" ] Was he? He doubted it...but then again Sora brought out a side of him that he didnt even know existed. His voice went softer when he spoke to Sora...his attitude shifted when ever he was near, and he handled him with such care. He never tried to do anything kind or thoughtful for anyone else in his life.... He had been searching for ideas online and a movie fort was easy to pull off. Sora liked movies... and he had memorized everything Sora liked to eat and the task was fairy simple and inexpensive. "Glad your impressed. " Next was his gift. The thing Fang wanted to give to Sora on graduation day. The thing he'd been saving and working longer hours for and he couldn't help but laugh seeing Sora's reaction and disbelief. Naturally Fang explained himself and the check. Not only had Fang been listening to Sora, but he had been saving, and preparing for this day...his dream. When Fang finished his spiel- Sora pulled him closer and planted a passionate kiss on his lips. No words were needed, because Fang could feel and understand everything Sora was feeling, everything he wanted to say. So Fang, kissed him back, wrapping his arm around his waist. He slowly pulled back, breaking the kiss and telling Sora to just accept his gift, Sora responded with a watery laugh. [ "You're.. a very hard man to say no to ."] Fang smirked. " So don't ~" he whispered, kissing Sora's cheek. [ "I don't think I could turn you down.. and I don't want to." ] Fang blinked, seeing a stray tear slip down Sora's cheek, he immediately licked it away. " I guess I should give you money more often, I've never seen you this happy~" He teased. Sora carefully put the check down with trembling hands before turning back and grabbing him with such force that it surprised the alpha. The human pulled him into another kiss, but this one was hard and slightly rougher. Fang welcomed the lip lock and slipped his tongue passed Sora's lips, deepening the kiss. He would never get tired of kissing the man. [ "As long as I got you with me. I already know my future it gonna be bright and special."] " Gross- is that how lame I sound?" He teased, kissing Sora one more time. ____________________________ The movie ended but Fang didn't move. He was curled up against Sora, his head on his chest, the steady rhythm of the humans heartbeat was a familiar and comforting. The fairy lights still glowed, casting dancing shadows across the walls of their fort. If Fang had a normal childhood, then perhaps he would of done something like this when he was younger. Every once in awhile Fang did something that was childishly off brand for him, but that was only because of Sora. The human had the able to make him feel happy.... so happy infact, thaat his inner child would sneak out to play. Sora was his safe space...his peace...his escape. What was the saying? Real love makes you behave like a child? Fang could feel Sora's fingers moving gently through his hair, the occasional brush of his thumb against his scalp, and it made something in his chest feel warm and full. He never imagined that he could ever fall in love again...much less with a human. He felt Sora's hand start to slow, as he tried to wake him. Telling him that the movie was over but he didn't move. Instead he made a small sound—not quite a word but a slight protest. He nuzzled into Sora, frowning. "Fi-ve moee min-uutess," he muttered. Acting as if they were in bed and Sora was trying to wake him up to go to work. *Step. Step* Fang immediately opened his eyes, hearing footsteps approaching the door. The werewolf immediately sprang to his feet, standing just outside the fort and watching the door. His body more tense as the strangers approach. In a single moment all the warmth and puppy dog love he had been exhibiting vanished, replaced with a beastly demeanor and a low growl building in his throat as he made sure to position himself in between Sora and the door. Until finally....he caught a familiar scent. @M-jow
