Yumro reached out and gently caught Haruhi by the wrist before he could move any farther away. With a soft tug, he guided his mate back onto the bed until Haruhi was comfortably settled in his lap. His arms wrapped securely around him, one hand slowly stroking his back while the other brushed through his hair with quiet affection. He leaned forward and pressed a lingering kiss to Haruhi's lips before resting their foreheads together. "You aren't getting me into any danger I can't handle," Yumro said calmly. "And even if you were... I still wouldn't give up on any of you." His voice carried no hesitation. To him, it wasn't bravery, it was simply the truth. He lifted a hand to Haruhi's face, gently cupping his chin. His thumb brushed slowly across the other's bottom lip, his touch tender. "I'm not worried about the target on my back." If anything, the person he worried about most was the one sitting in his lap. Haruhi had a habit of throwing himself into dangerous situations without thinking twice. He was stubborn, reckless, and painfully self-sacrificing. Yumro knew Haruhi would probably admit as much himself. But he kept those thoughts to himself. He wasn't afraid of for himself. He was afraid of his family. Losing Ren had already taught him what it felt like to be powerless. Back then, he'd only been a child who could do nothing. That helplessness had never truly left him. Now, though, he was an adult.He could fight. He could protect the people he cared about Haruhi and the kids. Yukie. His siblings. His entire family. He would never stand by and lose someone again if he had the strength to stop it. A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, easing the weight of his thoughts. "So..." he murmured, lightly tracing Haruhi's jaw with his thumb, "Does me protecting you, make me a shitty person too...?" He tilted his head with an expression of exaggerated concern, sounding as though the question genuinely troubled him. Of course, they both knew he was only teasing. ------------------------ Shan's entire body tensed, and his eyes widened in horror. "No, please!" he blurted out. "Haruhi's gonna kill me if you tell them that. Please don't!" He clasped his hands together in a dramatic plea, looking as though he was moments away from dropping to his knees. At least his desperate reaction accomplished one thing, it made Haru laugh. That alone eased some of Shan's embarrassment. When Haru asked him: ["Was it horrible? Going to school alone?"] Shan fell quiet. He absentmindedly nibbled on his lower lip while he searched for the right words. It took him a moment before he finally answered. "It wasn't horrible," he said softly. "Not really." He glanced down at his hands. "It was just... the uncertainty that scared me." He let out a quiet breath before continuing. "I kept thinking about everything that could go wrong. Would I stand out? Would anyone even talk to me, or would I spend the whole day alone? Would I understand the classes? What if they were too difficult? What if I couldn't keep up?" He gave a small shrug. "All those thoughts just kept piling up in my head until they felt bigger than they actually were." A faint smile crossed his face. "So... for me, the fear was horrible. But the reality wasn't." Looking back now, he almost felt silly for worrying so much. "This was my first time doing something like that completely on my own." He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Haruhi told me I needed experiences like this if I wanted to grow." His smile warmed. "Kind of like what you did." A quiet chuckle escaped him. "Although..." He looked Haru up and down with an exaggerated sigh. "I didn't grow as tall as you this time." He grinned. "But I'll catch up eventually. You'll see." His expression softened again. "The school isn't a bad place, and the other students aren't mean either. I was mostly just holding myself back because I was scared of what I didn't know yet." He looked at Haru hopefully. "Does that make sense?" ------------------ Julius's pupils widened until only the thinnest ring of blue remained around them, his gaze fixed entirely on Yukie. For a long moment, he simply stared. He hadn't realized just how Yukie's body had changed. The differences were subtle enough to go unnoticed at first, but now they stood out clearly. His muscles had become more defined, shaped by quiet strength rather than bulk. The lines of his torso were firmer, his shoulders broader, and the gentle curve leading to his hips was more pronounced than Julius remembered. It wasn't just the physical changes that caught his attention. It was the quiet confidence Yukie carried now, the way he stood, the ease in his posture, and the certainty in his movements. Somehow, those small changes made him even more captivating. Julius found himself admiring every detail, committing the image before him to memory. His heart skipped a beat as warmth spread through his chest, leaving him momentarily speechless. "...Damn," he breathed, barely above a whisper.. His eyes glued to his mate naked body. The eye contact only broke when Yukie pulled Julius's own shirt off him and caressed his body. Like Julius was something precious. His breathing slowly started to get more rough. His pulse was racing and his body was screaming out for Yukie. To touch him more. To kiss him. To fill all of him with nothing but his love. He was panting in Yukie's lap from that last kiss just as he heard him say: ["Fuck~ I want to feel myself deep inside of you.”] Julius felt heat rushing to his face, not of embarrassment. But because it had been so long since he'd felt desired like this. And so long since he had even been with Yukie. He was fairly sure it would in the start, but the pleasure of feeling connected to Yukie in that way was the most incredible feeling. He hadn't forgotten what that had been like. "I want that too~ I want to feel you fill me. Make my body remember every inch of you.. just careful.. I haven't.. it's been so long" Julius admitted face flushed with heat. His body was willing. Hungry for affection. The kind only one person could give him. Julius apparently felt the need to prove his point. So he began to roll his hips against the other's groins. "I need you. Honey~"
