It was one of those sunny, peaceful days. The town seemed cheerful, bright and simply happy. Every single person living there was nice, usually helpful as well. That is, until people would start disappearing again. Each time it would be the same - someone goes to the lake that is next to the town, they'd come in and... They wouldn't come out. Most people just say it's a coincidence, but there are still some that believe the "Water Devil" legend.

They say there's some creature living in the lake, taking lives of innocent people. Anybody who came into that lake would disappear... There's only been one survivor. One woman, who now tries to warn everybody not to go to that lake. Each time someone visited this town, they wouldn't listen to her. They would for sure go at least see the lake... Some say they saw something swim past them. There are ones who say it was a monster, some say it was a huge fish, some say... It was a man.

"Just put those boxes over there, and be careful with that equipment!" Jamie was busy issuing instructions to the removalists, trying to make sure that his expensive biology equipment didn't get damaged in the process. He'd rented a house by the lake, one that the locals seemed reluctant to let him lease, some of them looking at him suspiciously when he'd arrived, even though he'd explained to them that he was here because he was interested in the unique bio-luminescence that the lake reportedly had. As with any small and isolated town, the locals were cagey and slow to talk to him, but he figured with time they'd eventually open up to him, seeing that he was only a scientist and as soon as he finished his research, he'd leave.

"Hey mister, you shouldn't stay in that house..." Jamie looked out the window to see one of the local kids, all dark hair and big dark eyes. "Why's that?" he asked, fishing around in one of the boxes for the bag of peppermints he always had. The kid tilted his head, studying Jamie the way children do for a moment before answering. "There's a monster in the lake that comes out and eats people. Nobody wants to stay in the house where the monster eats people." Jamie offered a peppermint to the youngster who eyed it cautiously before popping the sweet in his mouth. "What does the monster look like?" he asked. Jamie was always interested in the "Urban Legends" remote places had, in fact, the story about the bio-luminescence was what had brought him here in the first place; "Fairy-lights under the water" is what it had been described as...

The kid sucked on the peppermint for a bit. "It's a fish that can turn into a man."

As the wind was blowing across the surface of the lake, a dark silhouette appeared just for a few seconds, then disappeared again. A small part of a tail-like thing could be seen at the surface as the mysterious creature swam away. Small ripples were noticeable at the surface where it disappeared again. Soon they appeared at another place, then another, each time bigger and bigger, as if trying to catch somebody's attention.

The cause of those ripples was the creature some described as the "Water Devil". His movements were graceful and confident, strong. The creature had a pair of arms which he used to create the ripples, he was moving closer to the shore, yet never actually reaching it. What helped him move in the water was... A big, majestic tail. It made strong movements, time at a time appearing slightly at the surface. The man had mid-length hair of pale yellowish-blue color. Right now another human appeared by the lake... And he just got hungry.

Jamie chuckled at the boy, "A merman huh?" The boys hair ruffled in the wind coming off the lake. Was it his imagination or did it seem that little bit chilly? He suppressed the urge to shiver. The boy was still looking up at him with big solemn eyes, not saying anything further. "Say, kid... what's your name? After all, I can't just call you "kid" all the time...." The boy was silent for a moment. "Andrew... but everyone calls me Andy" he replied. "Well Andy, did you want to give me a tour of the town?" Jamie was hoping that there would be a library, or something similar, even the police station would be helpful. If people had gone missing in the past, then the police station might shed some light on the more... mundane ways people went missing out here.

He looked over his shoulder at the lake behind him, seeing the ripples dancing across the surface. He held his hand out to Andy, "Let's go shall we?"

The merman got annoyed easily. He was hungry, and this human wouldn't even come near the lake? The creature slowly calmed himself down. He was just another prey. It would be like usual. Even if he tried to struggle, he wouldn't escape from the hands of the predator. That was just how things in nature were.

With this thought the merman sneakily swam up, nearly reaching the surface. Right then he made a sharp turn so his tail splashed the water quite a bit, the scales reflecting the light. From afar it seemed like there was a mirror in the water... It kept on appearing in different places, immediately disappearing right after. This was the start of the real hunt.. And the predator would catch his prey for sure. He already let one escape some time ago - it wasn't going to happen again.

Andy started at the sound of splashing, looking fearfully at the lake behind them, gripping Jamie's hand tightly. Jamie looked down at the boy, and then out over the lake again. "It's nothing Andy, probably just some fish." He smiled at the boy, and together they walked into the town, with Andy looking over his shoulder at the lake every now and then. Jamie gently pressed Andy for information, asking about the stories of the lake, about the people that had supposedly gone missing and then just some general information about the town itself. Though asking a child about the "monster" of the lake, it was evident that the "monster" was used to discipline unruly children, with threats of having it come out of the lake and eat their tender flesh if they misbehaved, though it didn't seem that any children had actually gone missing.

The police station was just like any other small town police station; a sheriff of sorts and a deputy, a town of this size not needing anymore than that. Jamie introduced himself and explained that he was a biologist who had come to do some research on the bio-luminescence found in the lake. They made small talk, Jamie not really feeling comfortable asking about missing people in front of Andy, but told the sheriff that he was indeed interested in finding out a little more, purely for personal interest sake of course. It was just after lunch when they left the police station, Andy grumbling the way that boys do when they're hungry. "It's ok champ, you take me to where we can have some lunch, my treat! It's the least I can do seeing as you've been such a good tour-guide."

Andy dragged Jamie to the diner in the middle of the town, with declarations of sundaes and milkshakes. Jamie couldn't help but smile to himself, Ah, to be young and full of energy again he mused to himself. He let Andy introduce him to everyone at the diner. It seemed word had already gotten around that he was staying at the house by the lake, and took all the "warnings" good-naturedly, finding the locals easy enough to get along with. At least there wasn't open hostility like in other places.

The afternoon waned on, and it seemed that Andy's parents had found out that he was in the diner, and had come to investigate, apologising profusely for their son. Jamie laughed and reassured them that it was quite ok. Andy looked up at his parents, "I have to stay with Mr Jamie to protect him from the lake monster" he said, as seriously as small children do. "I don't know about protecting me, but you can always help me with my research" He smiled as he reassured Andy's parents, giving them his contact details. They invited him over for dinner, as thanks for keeping Andy occupied for most of the day, and Jamie accepted, saying that he'd need to go back to the house and get a few things first.

The merman rised up to the surface as the two humans walked away. Once he noticed the little boy turning back to look at him, the creature smirked widely, revealing two sets of sharp teeth. His dark, nearly black eyes were narrowed as he watched his prey getting away. The taller one would still come back... He had to. He still wanted to play around with him, maybe scare him before actually eating...

The male soon sinked back into the water, thinking of some other ideas to catch his prey. Once the newcomer would be here again... He'd make sure to catch him. The whole night would be filled with screams of the man... Oh, the screams were music to the merman's ears.

His tail was finally calm as the merman settled down at the very bottom of the lake. Maybe he should have a snack? There had to be at least a few fishes left... With thiss thought the male cautiously looked around, his eyes searching the water for fishes. Soon enough he spotted a few of them. With fluent movements the man swam to them, his teeth uncovered and ready for hunting. Minutes later they were covered in fishes' meat. He licked his lips and scowled slightly. This wasn't anything near enough...

Jamie hurried back to the house. He wanted to at least have a shower and change his clothes before heading back out again. He smiled to himself; there was plenty of time for the townsfolk to see how messy and untidy he really was. When he got absorbed in his research, things like bathing and eating properly weren't exactly high on his list of priorities. As he approached the house, he paused to look out over the lake. The lake itself was quite large, and supposedly impossibly deep. The geological formations surrounding the lake showed it to be indeed natural and not man made, or beaver made. The lake was as old as the hills and forest that edged its shores, it even stretched out to underneath the distant mountains. Jamie chuckled to himself, perhaps he'd even indulge in a bit of cave diving if he had free time.

He fumbled with the lock to the house as he opened the door. The only reason why he locked the door was out of habit, but perhaps in a town as small as this, nothing was going to get stolen.. and it's not like they had his type of research equipment just lying around. He walked up the stairs, shedding his close as he went, and grabbing a towel on the way though to the bathroom, pausing long enough to make sure the temperature of the water was warm enough before stepping into the shower, washing himself quickly.

Once finished, he wrapped the towel around himself, walking around the house looking through boxes for clothes to wear, settling on his tried and true jeans and turtleneck skivvy.... some gel in his hair to stop it from becoming the messy mop it usually did straight out of the shower, and he was ready to head back out again. He whistled tunelessly to himself as he left the house, locking the door behind him as he went. He was looking forward to some homemade cooking....

After a few hours of thinking, the merman decided on the tactic that worked mostly on kind people, and this guy seemed to be like one... Not like he could really tell. Humans were only food, why would he care about their personalities? The only time he needed them was when thinking of the best way to get them to go with him. With some he pretended to be a fish... He hated those times - made him feel disgusted, even. Fishes were his food, not himself...

With this thought the creature swam up to the surface once the man was inside his house, putting his hands on the dock to lift himself up. Once his tail was out of the water, the male groaned softly in pain. The scales were falling down one by one, each leaving a small wound. Of course, the wound was soon covered in pale skin, just like the rest of his body, but it still felt as if it was burning... Though the worst part was when his tail had started to split into two parts. Each part was to be a leg, but at what cost! "Shit..." The merman hissed out, closing his eyes as he waited for it to be over. After a while he opened his dark eyes again, turning them to the moon. It was a beautiful night, there was a lot of stars in the sky. He was sure his prey would spot him here - his skin was pale enough to be noticed easilly in the dark night.

The merman started humming a song, the sound seemed to fill up everything. The merman had a nice voice, it seemed soothing at first, but the longer you listened to it, the more dangerous it sounded. It was like the voice was just waiting for somebody to come, to try and interrupt it... So that the one interrupting wouldn't ever do it again... Wouldn't make another sound.

That was his plan. It was to lure this guy to himself, make sure he trusts him... Then pull him into the lake. The food seemed to taste better there...

Jamie stood at the front of the house and cocked his head to the side. He thought he could hear something over the sound of the wind, and the waves of the lake but he couldn't be sure. Whatever it was that he was hearing certainly sounded compelling. He shook his head to clear his thoughts and smiled to himself. He was letting the stories from the townsfolk get to him and play tricks with his imagination. He adjusted the collar of his turtleneck and looked towards the lake and stopped, squinting into the twilight. Was there someone standing on the dock?

He took a few cautious steps, not wanting to disturb whomever it was. He squinted again, and realised that they were actually naked. Oh dear he thought to himself with a silent chuckle, Skinny-dippers eh? and with that he turned back towards the town, a slight blush staining his cheeks. He certainly didn't have a problem with people getting all naked and swimming, he certainly preferred swimming without his clothes on, but he was a bit taken aback that people would be stripping down outside of where he was going to be living. He'd definitely have a talk with Andy's parents about it, maybe get some more information about the individual quirks of the townspeople, just so that he could avoid any more surprises of the naked kind.

He quickly set off into the gathering gloom, heading towards Andy's place.

The merman heard the newcomer take a few steps towards him, while he didn't change his position, still humming quietly. He thought for sure the man would at least come up and ask what he was doing here, but he just... Walked off? The creature sighed quietly and turned his head to watch his prey getting away... Again. It's been nearly a month since he's had a human for meal. He missed the feeling of their sweet flesh, the. hot blood pouring out of their wounds, making everything Oh so delicious... This thought only was capable of making the creature lick his lips hungrily. He wanted the feeling of eating a human to make him amazingly full with pure deliciousness.

He'd just have to go after the prey to get it, mm? With. this thought the merman turnes to the house standing near the lake. It seemed that the guy locked the door after him, though that didn't give much problems to the merman himself. With light steps he walked towards the house, opening the door with little problem. He used a bit of water to unlock it, then went inside. If he wanted to go after his prey, he'd have to get his clothing... He always kept some in the basement. Just in case he'd ever need them... With this the merman turned towards the stairs leading down, quietly going towards the chest with his own stuff. Once there, the merman pulled on a pair of pants, flinching slightly at the feeling. He hated using legs instead of tail. It hurt like hell, they were way weaker than his tail and talk about uncomfortable... But still, he had to do it sometimes. With a soft sigh coming from his mouth, the merman took out a shirt with buttons, slipping it on his body. While he was getting dressed, the pale-haired male glanced at the scars visible on his arms and chest. There were lots of people who tried to hunt him down. None of them succeeded.

Once he was ready to go, the male locked the chest again, pushing it into the deepest corner of the basement, dropping a dusty piece of fabric over it. He hoped no one would find it... After this was taken care of, he walked out the basement, leaving everything else just like before. He simply went outside, once again using a small amount of water to lock the door. Being a merman had it's pros - one of them was controlling water. Of course, in this form he couldn't do much, but as a merman he could even create giant floods if he wanted. The lake was basically the strength of him. If the lake would disappear, so would he. They were connected...

Finally the merman started walking towards the town, where he assumed his prey had gone to. He didn't like the town. It was too bright for his liking...

Whilst he was walking, his phone rang. Jamie answered it to find that it was Andy's father. "We just realised that you might not be so familiar with the area to walk to our place, so just wait by the diner, and I'll come and get you." Jame nodded to himself as he put the phone back in his pocket. There would be a very good chance that he'd get lost attempting to walk to their house, even though it was small country town. The town centre was just a gathering point for amenities, people actually lived further away, and only came into the town for business. Judging by the directions he'd been given, the house was at least a thirty minute walk away from the town centre, and whilst he would be walking along the road, it was getting dark, and there were always wild animals lurking about. The wind picked up slightly causing Jamie to shiver as he walked towards the town centre, even his own lakeside house was a ten minute walk away.

The town centre itself was already quiet, the shops shut, and the street lights flickering on. There was a pub in the town, the light shining through it's windows into the growing darkness. He'd have to have to go there at least once, after all, the pub was where the most gossip happened. He leaned up against the streetlamp outside of the diner to wait for Andy's father to come and get him.

The merman stuffed his hands into pockets, his sharp eyes glancing around. When he was on ground, he felt so much weaker, defenseless even. He wasn't even sure as of how he first realized he could turn his tail into legs just like this. Maybe it was when he was captured as a kid?.. That might've been it. The memory of that event was slightly fuzzy for him. He'd been only around ten back then. He still didn't know so much about the world of humans, he was naive. This was the cause of him getting caught by a fisherman. By accident the creature got stuck in one of his nets and once he was out of the water, the boy could watch in horror and scream in pain as the scales started falling down one by one. He nearly blacked out as his tail split in two... But apparently, the fisherman thought there was something wrong with the merman and simply dumped him back into the lake. The tail was back in a few minutes...

As the now adult merman walked down the road leading to the city, a silhouette of a human caught his attention. A slight smirk appeared on the creature's face as he recognized who this was. It was his little prey, mm? Well, didn't this make a lot of things easier? The merman slowly came up to the human, his dark eyes looking at him sharply. “Excuse me, but are you lost?“ The creature asked, nearly frowning at the unusual words slipping from his mouth. He hated acting nice, but this was the only way to get humans trust him...

Jamie looked up as he heard someone approaching. “Excuse me, but are you lost?“ they asked him; Jamie felt he was being studied by the dark eyes that looked at him. "Lost? Oh no, I'm waiting for some friends to pick me up." He smiled and held out his hand, "Hi, I'm Jamie, I'm the biologist that has come to study the bio-luminescence in the lake. I'm staying at the house next to the lake for the next few months. I'm still settling in and some people have been nice enough to treat me to dinner in exchange for looking after their son for the day."

Jamie studied the man for a moment, his hand still outstretched in greeting, something seemed a little "off" about him, though he couldn't really put his finger on what exactly it was. He wasn't particularly worried about being mugged as he was confident in his own physical abilities. He might not look like much, but he'd studied martial arts extensively, and he needed to be physically strong to lift most of his equipment. He tilted his head at the stranger, "and you are?" he asked softly.

As Jamie talked, the merman couldn't help but think about how humans could trust nearly anyone, anywhere, anywhen. Poor naive humans... Especially this one. He's got no idea that he's now talking to the one creature who wants to eat him alive. Unconsciously the creature lightly licked his lips and tilted his head. One of his eyebrows raised slightly, not even enough to be noticed as the man extended his hand for a handshake. Even so, he couldn't refuse it...

With slightly hesitant movements the creature extended his own and and firmly grabbed the other's, careful not to break it. He seemed to have more strength that an average human. "Anapestus." A low voice that seemed to echoe through the field came from the merman's mouth. He didn't exactly like revealing his name. It was like if people knew it, they could use it against him... Well, not that anyone who'd heard his name lived long enough to actually do something bad...

The grip was strong, and the name unfamiliar. "What is that? Hungarian or something?" Jamie asked as he firmly shook Anapestus' hand. "I wasn't aware that there were many foreigners around these parts, I thought it was just a regular little mountain town.." Jamie smiled easily at him. Even though there was the slightly "off" air about the man, Jamie still felt that he had little to worry about, after all, most people from little isolated towns tended to swing between the extremes of being overly friendly or were completely stand-offish and distrustful towards strangers...

There was the sound of a car horn, and a standard issue pick-up truck rumbled down the street. "Oh, looks like my ride is here!" he said, turning towards Anapestus, "If you want, feel free to come past the house any time you like, obviously if i'm not in then i'll be out on the lake or in the town..." he offered and started walking towards the car, giving a wave before opening the door and climbing inside.

Anapestus let out a deep sigh and watched Jamie get into the car. A soft growl came from the tall man's throat as he watched his prey getting away. What the hell was up today? He couldn't get his prey no matter what he tried... It was weird, even. Maybe it just wasn't his day... Or he was getting soft. The man groaned and turned towards the road the car drove off.

He'd have to go after it. With this thought the merman started walking towards the town. It took quite some time for him to get there, since he didn't hurry much. Anapestus put his hands into pockets and let out a sigh once he reached the town at last. With sharp eyes he glanced around, licking his lip from the smell of human meat all around him. One day he wouldn't wait and just go off slaughtering every single living thing. Of course, then he'd have to go find a new place to live and it won't be easy.

After perfunctionary greetings and small talk, Jamie and Andy's father drove in comfortable silence. It appeared that they lived a little ways out of the town. "I'm so glad you decided to come and get me, just looking out the window, I know I would have gotten lost!" Jamie said with his easy smile. Andy's father gave a small chuckle, "Andy would never let me here the end of it if I didn't come and get you" he replied. After a slight pause he added, "Who was that you were talking to?" Jamie raised an eyebrow slightly before responding. "He said his name was Anapestus... he asked me if I was lost. He didn't seem to happy to see me getting in the car either. Do you know who he is?" Andy's father shook his head, "Sounds mightly strange to me; never heard of anyone with that name living here..." The two men fell into silence once more, each thinking about the conversation they'd just had.

"I'll... keep an eye on it..." Jamie said slowly, "He seemed mighty interested in me, and if no one else knows who he is, then it's probably safe to say that this is about me, though I'm not sure what I've done to piss anyone off lately..." The car turned to go down a long driveway. "We're here" Andy's father said as the car pulled up outside a homey looking cottage. Jamie got out of the car the two went inside, their conversation about Anapestus momentarily forgotten.

It didn't take long for Anapestus to find the smell of his prey again. The man called... Jeremy, was it? Well, that man wasn't too far away. With a slight frown the creature ran a hand through his now-short hair. They kept the unusual pale blue-ish color, but they weren't as long. Now they only reached to the middle of his neck. It annoyed him a little at first, but people seemed to see this at least slightly more normal than the long hair he had in his usual form.

Anapestus streched and glanced around. People were avoiding him, just as always. It was a clever thing for them to do... If they got closer, he might just take them with him.. To his "home". Anapestus' eyes stopped at a blonde woman that was staring at him. He unconsciouly gritted his teeth and narrowed his eyes. It was the girl that had once escaped... He hated her, he hated her more than any other human. She was the main reason less and less people were going into the lake...

With a slight hiss, the male decided to ignore her for now. Her time would come some day, he just wasn't sure when... Anapestus simply walked past her, while she stepped back, completely terrified. Back then, he was only able to leave some teeth marks on her leg... They were ones like an animal's, so he guessed most people thought there really was something down there. Everyone saw the woman as a crazy one.. Not that Anapestus could say it was bad for him.

Jamie paused at the front door of his house. The night had been a good one, dinner was great, the company better, and the home brew that Andy's father had shared was had just the right amount of kick to get him pleasantly drunk. The only problem with drinking is that it made him unbearably hot. He looked over to the lake, the light from the moon reflecting on the surfacing making it shimmer. He smiled to himself, though the conditions themselves might not be right for the luminescence to appear, it would hurt to go and have a closer look... he could just strike it lucky.

Jamie slowly walked down to the lakes edge, careful not to trip on any hidden rocks. In his current state, it wouldn't be hard for him to fall over. The wind blowing over the lake was cool, but not enough for his slightly fevered skin. "Shouldn't drink" he muttered to himself. The wavelets sparkled with the light of the moon, and the dark inky water looked rather inviting. His memory went back to earlier in the day, when he'd spied the naked man and he chuckled to himself, skinny dipping didn't sound like such a bad idea right now. Jamie quickly removed his clothes, not bothering to fold them neatly, but letting them fall to the ground where he was standing, and stepped into the water.

It was deliciously cool, creeping up his body as he waded further in until he was standing up to his waist. He took a deep breath and dived in.

Anapestus didn't let his eyes off the man for one second. He followed him around, still keeping a safe distance in case he was spotted. A smirk appeared on his face as the merman noticed Jeremy turning back home. The creature wanted to get back into his comfortable lake where he could think... With this, Anapestus started walking just slightly faster than the human - just enough to get at the lake around ten minutes earlier. With a soft sigh escaping his lips, the merman got rid of his clothes, stuffing them under a rock for now. He'd get them later.

As the creature quickly jumped into the lake, it seemed like all of his senses increased at least ten times. He really hated being on ground, it made him weaker and a bit... Uncomfortable. The merman closed his eyes as he dove in deeper, feeling his tail growing back. It didn't take as much effort to get it back than to make the legs. Anapestus started swimming deeper and deeper into the lake until he was surrounded only by darkness. This was his favorite part of the lake. It was calm, rarely any human made their way down here.

The merman closed his eyes just for a few seconds when his ears caught a faint sound of someone getting into the lake. The black eyes opened instantly and the creature slowly swam up, just enough to see who it was. He was more than surprised to see that it was Jeremy. His lips slowly curled into a smirk and the creature sneakily swam up to the human, lightly making his tail brush over Jeremy's feet. Immediately after doing that, Anapestus swam further away. His prey was in the wrong place...

  • 2 weeks later...

The water felt deliciously cool against his skin and he floated effortlessly on his back, rocking gently with the wavelets. He closed his eyes and let himself get carried away by the serenity of the moment... until he felt something brush against his foot.

His eyes flew open and his heart beat a little faster. He frowned to himself, surely it was just a curious fish or something like that? He was more than a little drunk, it was the middle of the night and his imagination was more than a little overactive.

Jamie rolled onto his stomach and began to slowly stroke back to the shore. He didn't want it to seem like he was afraid, but the brush against his foot was more than a little sobering, reminding him that many a drunk had drowned in the water on nothing but an overactive imagination...

Anapestus smirked and grabbed the other's leg. He wasn't going to let him go this time. His nails dug into the delicate skin as the merman pulled Jamie down into the water. His sharp teeth were visible even in the darkness of the night as he pulled the human down just enough to look into his eyes.

With his other hand, Anapestus held Jamie's hand to provide him from moving away. Human meat... It's been too long. With a hungry look in his eyes, the merman let his tail wrap around the other's legs. If he even tried moving, his prey would probably fail.

Anapestus always enjoyed making his prey completely frozen. He usually didn't like too much chasing around, so constricting them was the best choice.

As his leg was grabbed and he was pulled under, Jamie nearly opened his mouth to scream, but he at least had enough presence of mind to take a deep breath before he did. The cold water closed over his head and he peered into the inky darkness, catching a flash of silver. He felt scales wrap around his leg and a strong grip on his arm. He turned his head and came face to face with.... a man?

Jamie was fascinated rather than afraid, the biologist in him taking in the fact that the creature that had him in his grasp looked like a man, was underwater... Jamie looked down and could make out the tail that was wrapped around him. He reached out and trailed his fingers over the body in front of him, feeling the hard muscle tapering down into scales.

The lack of air was starting to make him feel uncomfortable and he pointed upwards with his finger...

Anapestus was rather suprised when the other didn't exactly look afraid of him. The fascinated look in his prey's eyes made the merman feel slightly frustrated... Why in the world was this human treating him any diferently than the others?

Anapestus hissed as the man pointed upwards. Was this a game to him?!? The merman scowled as he began pulling his prey downwards, into the depths of the lake. His nails were slightly digging into his prey's skin as he continued swimming down. He was hungry and he had meat now. Nothing else mattered until he got his meal...

The merman didn't want to wait until they were at the deepest part. He opened his mouth to reveal two sets of sharp teeth and moved them to the man's neck. He wasn't going to make the mistake like he did with the woman. From that event, he started off by killing his prey fast before actually starting to feed on him.
