What would you suggest as basic grammar rules? eg, I'm working on learning about i & na adjectives, and conjugating u and ru verbs, but what else should I study?
Also, can someone please explain about the particals ni and de? Maybe do some example sentences so I can see how they are used?
@Chiakai
- the particle "に" indicate time/direction.
- the partice "で" indicate the place where the action takes place (i.e. "in", "at", "on" etc.)
Example: バスで学校に行きます。
I ride the bus to school.
(Direction: school, Means by transportation: bus)
Example 2: 日本でどこに行きたいですか。
Where in Japan do you want to go?
(Direction: Where? Place of action: Japan)
In cases where you have numerals, for example?
10時に起きました。
It doesn't happen in situations like:
日曜日に僕があなたの家に行きます × (Wrong)
日曜日僕があなたの家に行きます 〇 (Correct) Well, I think so xD

- I believe に should be used when it's SPECIFIC time (like June 4th, 8 o'clock etc). However time like today/tomorrow/yesterday are relative time therefor に shouldn't be used. (:
