Ah, people don't use raunchy as a bad word anymore, that's why. Comedy movies that are targeted towards men are always very sexual, with obvious innuendos. Commercials (knowing their horny audience) make sure to describe those movies as "raunchy", so that men will know there is a good chance they'll see a near-naked female, wearing nothing but pasties and a Hello Kitty sticker on her vagina. The word is used to sell, so that's why it sounds positive. I would join the K-POP fandom, but I can't get attached to boy bands/girl bands because they seem ingenuine to me. Japan and Korea seem to be slightly obsessed with the whole idea of a fantasy world, where celebrities are perfect and interesting and don't have lives outside of what their fans see.
