Your impression when you watched your first yaoi anime?

My jaw literally dropped!

I have never seen something so romantic in my life. Also, I have never felt so forever alone in my life.

When I first watched my first yaoi anime - Sekai-Ichi Hatuskoi, I can't tell if I'm happy or sad, excited or bored, hungry or full. I don't even know if I should cry or laugh. All my emotions and feelings just mixed together like water and sugar.

Now that I have come across yaoi, I find same-sex couples to be more romantic. ^-^

What was your impression when you watched your first yaoi anime? And which anime is it?

I see that you are new here. I've seen threads like this but I'll indulge. My first impression- well. It was almost natural for me- since I was bisexual since I could remember- as early as eight years old. So I naturally knew there would be a nature like yaoi/yuri so I dived right into it. At first, I looked for gay films. I've noticed the word BOYS LOVE [not the movie, just the tag], and that was how I found out about the term 'yaoi.'

My first impression was, OMFG yes, there are ton of GAY ANIME! I thought it was limited to real people like gay films. My first yaoi anime was not until much later, when I discovered Gravitation and Sukishyo. My first shonenai was Kyou Kara Maou! and thought it was SOOO CUTE. ♥♥ Then I went from SOO CUTE TO OMFG HOT. EEEEEKKKKKKKKK!!! I prefer homosexual relationship so much over heterosexual because it's FORBIDDEN in many cultures and the struggles are more interesting. Neee???

I noticed you saw recent yaoi stuff. I am old and saw a lot of older yaoi animes but I think you should check older yaoi out too!

Older yaoi: Gravitation, Loveless, Sukishyo, Gakuen Heaven [all light]. Haru wo Daiteita. Fujimi Orchestra. Sekimatsu Darling. Seitokaicho ni Chukoku (Hey Class President). Winter Cicada. Yebisu Celebrities. Monochrome Factor [this one light]. Descendants of Darkness. Ai no Kusabi. Ikoku Irokoi Romantan. Kusatta Kyoushi no Houteishiki. Fish in the Trap. Boku no Sexual Harassment. Kizuna.

BUT if you really like Sekai-Ichi Hatuskoi Artwork, then I recommend these: Junjou Romantica. KirePapa. Koizuru Boukun (The Tyrant Who Fall in Love). No Money! (Okane ga Nai). Papa to Kiss in the Dark. Ai no Kusabi REMAKE. Sensitive Pornograph. Ikoku Irokoi Romantan. Maiden Rose. Seitokaicho ni Chukoku (Hey Class President).

The first time I watched Yaoi I was confused so I will go for the second one I watched, Junjou Romatica.

At the beginning I was a little nyeh about it, but it was funny. :) So, yeah, When Misaki busted through the door with the whole WTF attitude I was laughing hysterically, so, I was already excited at the plot already. And then.. the rape commenced.

I felt my entire body light up and all i could do was hold my pillow and nod like an idiot.

After the episode I went into yaoi obsession.

My friends were worried about me. xD;

After about a week, I cooled down and acted all nyeh about it again, but no one knows secretly, lol- wink wink, that Yaoi is still my number one thing to watch. I'm sorry- but I love watching things that make me act all hyper and excited. xD;

End of story-

My first Yaoi anime was "Papa to Kiss in the Dark." I had never read a single Yaoi manga before, so watching my first Yaoi anime was quite a shock for me. At that time I thought it was extremely explicit, but looking back now that was nothing...hahaha XD I enjoyed watching "Papa to Kiss in the Dark" and for some reason it just seemed more romantic than all that shoujo anime I watched. I was watching this anime from youtube, so a person replied to my comment and I received an email. This email just had to be the first on top and my Vice Principal just happened to be there when I needed help with my computer. I'm pretty sure he saw the comments I'm just glad he didn't catch me watching then and there.

The first time I saw Yaoi is Takumi kun series. Takumi has a plain expression and a pretty face but Takumi has frightened when touched by others. Expression of him beautiful face was plain to extraordinary. I like it.

I think it started with Kyou kara maou, a light shounen-ai story. Actually, I did bother about seeing two boys slept at the same bed. Yet I was still watching it since it had medieval and fantasy genre attached to it. And I really like the show up until now. At the end of it, I was like "WTF? O_o "

My pure mind was shocked when I saw Monochrome Factor, the kissing part kinda scared me and it's so awkward for me before to see both men kissing. Honestly, it really was getting on my nerves.

Then it worsen when I arrived at the weirdest parts of youtube, accidentally clicking Junjou Romantica. It was rather explicit than the others that I had saw. I realized the difference of Shounen-Ai and Yaoi for the very first time! It was disgusting at first but later when I continued watching it, I finally get a hold of its humor and its main thought. Realizing that love can exist casting aside the gender, I fell for it (*the trap! haha). Haha up until now I am watching yaoi, it's almost a year and I hope it'll last. Oh well~

My first yaoi video was "Sensitive Pornograph". I was staring at my computer while they were doing it. I think it was the best thing that's ever happened to me. And of course, I got a boner out of it at the moment I saw Seiji-kun... So... yeah lol

well i just stumbled onto yaoi one day while i was looking for something to read.

I decided hey, i wonder what yaoi is. So i watched Junjou for my first yaoi anime.

At first i was kinda iffie but now i cant read and or watch anything other than yaoi.

Nothing compares to the love the characters show in it.

I am now obsessed with yaoi.

I didn't exactly start with anime...in fact it all started with Pokémon FanFiction!~ [Which is amazing btw!] I was curious, and mildly interested at first, but it was only a few months later that I found Koisuru Boukun...~

Instant love.

I've been watching Shounen-ai/Yaoi ever since!~

The very first yaoi I watched was GRAVITATION, my classmate (my valueable friend and also a perv. One hehe!) introduced it to me. The very moment I watched it, I suddenly can't breath..my stomach hurts like it has a big butterfly on it.. After that I think that "WOW YAOI IS GREAT" =D after that moment, I decided to crawl deeper into the world of yaoi.

Okane ga nai and Junjou romantica are the first anime that I've watched, and it was way back year 2010.

My first impression was, its cool :3 two guys in an intimate relationship. And i've liked it even if it was my first time. Nothing more nothing less.

LOL funny... I watched Haru Wo Daiteita as my very first Yaoi anime 2 years ago.

I was gobsmacked! They were getting it on, under the covers ON CAMERA! Then they started getting it on and talking about love and being jealous (the usual story line).

I wasn't expecting it, was totally shocked. I cant recall any showy scenes, it was mainly showing the action, using sound to create the suggestion of what it is they are doing - you know what I mean right? lol

Me whilst watching it:

1) hand over mouth

2) O_O

3) "... oh my"

Then the OVA had finished lol

I felt the same, I thought it was very wrong at the time, but just could not stop looking for yaoi after that.

When I first watched Papa to Kiss in the Dark, (I don't think it was my first but must of been close to it) I, like you also found it so much more romantic then a lot of shoujo anime I'd seen.

I doupt your Vice Principal will of known what it was about, just by an comment on top of your email account with any luck.

The first yaoi I saw was the famous "Sensitive Pornograph" and my first reaction was *boing*. I wasn't shocked at all because the very first dirty thing I saw when I was a kid (about 8 years old) was good 'ol hentai where two guys were penetrating a girl in the mouth and butt (or somewhere in the back). So I thought that there would be a different type of hentai anime out there. :D
