Giving the old lady at the till a small smile, the beautiful boy picked up the light shopping bag before exiting the shop; quickly making his way home through the dark streets as his eyes darted around in fear.

Letting a tiny noise escape his mouth as he made his way to the apartment that he shared with his older sister, the light-green eyed boy unlocked the various locks on the door before re-locking them all behind him; gently placing down the shopping bags on the kitchen counter.

Pausing for a moment to listen to his completely noise and sister-free apartment, the black-haired boy made the mental note that his sister would not be returning for a few days due to work; packing away the bought items before walking around the home to check the locks on the windows and the door.

It would be fine.

Name: Simon Jones

Role: Alpha

Nationality: American

Age: 41

Height: 6ft 3

Weight: 78 kg

Hair: a short cut medium blonde with several whitish locks that betray his age

Eyes: warm caramel

Detailed Physical Description: Simon manages to maintain an athletic build through a regular exercise routine. The veins on his hands are fairly prominent, all the more so due to his pale skin

Likes: natural beauty, sweets, children, animals, exercise

Dislikes: noise, hospitals, all types of violence and abuse

Extra:

-deals with occasional back pains which he never checks out

-never takes off his wedding band, sign of lingering attachment for his former sweetheart whom he lost to cancer

-has a tendency to not mind his own business if it benefits another person

His work schedule was just about to get completely changed. For the first time in years, he would no longer basically live at his workplace nor travel around the country, actually getting to spend some good daytime at home. The alpha was not sure how exactly he felt about it. He'd now have to spend a lot off time in the place that used to be "theirs" but it was now "his". Sure, the furniture was changed and moved around in those empty 10 years yet the feeling was still eerily there.

Walking down the isles, looking on his long shopping list, Simon placed several items into his shopping basket, stopping altogether in the area of frozen treats. With no reluctance whatsoever, he picked up one of the ice cream boxes containing 12 pieces of chocolatey goodness on a stick before making his way to the cashier, waiting in line.

Looking inside his wallet, he pulled out enough for his purchase and was about to place it to the side, distracted, when his gaze fell on another wallet which seemed to have been left behind. His eyebrows darting up, he looked around with no use- he had no idea just who had been in front of him just now. Picking it up, he opened it just to check for any contact information- if there was none, he'd just turn it in and hope the owner would find it. The middle aged man help no interest towards whatever sum was tucked inside, his tensed features relaxing at the sight of a health card. Kim Jae- that was the owner's name. The surprise came with the address- it was literally in the same apartment complex as his own, meaning he could return it as soon as he went home.

Paying for his groceries, he no longer paid it any mind, prepared to head home as soon as he got his suit back from the dry cleaner.

Slowly making his way over to his plain and clear bedroom, the delicate looking boy changed out of his regular clothes into an oversized jumper and baggy sweatpants; immedietlaty cleaning away his used clothes and items for the day.

Reaching into his jacket to pull out his wallet like he used to always do, the feminine looking omega paused for a moment as he felt deeper into the pocket; frowning as the important item was not found. Checking over his jacket once over before looking through his jeans and his room, the gorgeous looking boy walked back into the kitchen to retrace his steps; his actions becoming more frantic as he could not find the location of his wallet.

Letting out a pained noise at the news that his wallet had been lost, the pretty omega tried his hardest to calm himself down as he paced the empty apartment; unsure of what do do.

His sister would be so upset. So disappointed in him. He was an idiot. Careless and stupid.

He needed to quickly find his wallet.

Or you’ll get in trouble.

Getting his suit and still carrying the groceries, Simon was quick to reach home, his hands full. Before anything else, he struggled to open his own apartment, having no free hands. It took him a full two minutes to get the door to open, revealing the almost empty hallway leading inside. With calm steps, the man left the bag of groceries in the kitchen, placed on the counter to be dealt with later and put his clean clothes away. It was quiet. So so very quiet.

The alpha did not spend too much time inside, being quick to check his pocket for the lost wallet once more, reading the address again. He was right. It belonged to one of his neighbors- not that he knew any of them given just how often he was not around. Back then when they moved in he only got to enjoy a couple weeks of a normal life before the sky fell apart, so it was not as if he was known much either.

It was fine.

Taking his mind off of such depressing matters, the middle aged alpha walked himself to the unfamiliar door and knocked softly, keeping the wallet in his hand in plain sight.

Wiping his face with his hands as he manged to calm his nerves down slightly, the fragile looking omega stood up from the sofa he sat himself down in to breath for a second; making his way over to the window before opening the curtains to view the darkness of the night.

He didn’t want to go out.

But he had to.

Moving back to his plain bedroom to pick up his large jacket up that was hanging on his door, the delicate looking boy went to the front door to slide on his shoes; a knocking jumping him from his thoughts.

… What?

Carefully placing down his shoes and his jacket to the side, the gorgeous looking boy slowly moved closer to the large door before he looked through the spy hole that he installed into the door; examining the large figure that stood on the other side of the door.

An alpha. Definitely an alpha. A stranger. Holding a square like object in his hand. He was alone. It was dark and late.

Slowly reaching over to pick up a large metal bar that was kept by the side of the door, the light green eyed omega took deep breaths before weakly unlocking most of the locks on the door; keeping the ones that allowed a small space that opened the door.

Peeking through the couple of inches of gap whilst gripping onto the pole secretly behind the door, the pretty boy stared at the much larger man that was in front of him; gazing up at him in a scared and worried expression.

“ …………. W-What do y-you want?”

He could faintly tell someone was looking at him thought the door viewer. It was much later than he thought it would be so he figured the best way to deal with it would be to give a friendly smile.

With the door cracking just a few inches, he could see a face. A young, frightened little face, looking at him like prey looking at a predator. There was an unexplained amount of panic.

Ah. Was the boy living alone? Probably an omega... Surely when seen from that perspective, he could understand the fear. Causing such fear was not intended. This was not what he had planned.

With his face softening even further, the older alpha opened his mouth to speak. "I am sorry, I do not mean any harm. I have found this wallet at the grocery store. We are neighbors- I live on the ground floor, apartment number 3- so I figured I would give it back. This was the listed address at least--" Slowly extending his hand, he held the wallet for the young man to grab.

"Ah but I truly am sorry it has taken me so long to return it. I have been doing my own shopping so it got late. Oh I know-- would you wait just two minutes?" There was no ill intent in his voice. The Alpha's posture was relaxed, even somewhat slouched as he spoke, sign that he meant no harm. Not even for a moment did he attempt to touch the door nor attempt to touch the young man behind it. For all that man knew, he could be dangerous and it was a fair assumption anyone would make.

Blinking innocently up at the much older Alpha that was in front of him, the feminine looking boy found himself staring up at the handsome man as he spoke non-threateningly and sweetly to him; glancing down at the suggested item in his hand.

He still refused to trust him. At all.

“ ……………. T-Thank y-you.”

Quickly taking the wallet out of the larger man’s hand before moving back deeper into the apartment out of instinct, the fragile looking omega placed the item to the side before looking back up at the blonde haired alpha that continued to speak; surprise spreading across his face as the other man told him to wait.

Not a good sigh.

Shut and lock the door idiot.

He’s going to get his friends and attack you.

Rape you.

Kill you.

Slightly hyperventilating at the uneasy request, the younger boy found himself frozen still; tears prickling up in his eyes.

SHUT. THE. DOOR.

Once the young man had taken the wallet back, the older Alpha literally sprinted down the stairs. Fumbling with his keys once more, he opened the door and headed straight to the kitchen counter, dumping everything from the shopping bad onto the table hurriedly to pick out the ice cream box.

For a couple of seconds, he debated whether it was appropriate to give the boy the whole box or not but quickly decided against. A box could seem extremely suspicious so there was a large chance it could be seen as a threat. That would defy its purpose altogether. Instead, the alpha ripped the packaging open and pulled out only a singular ice cream wrapped in the sealed plastic it came in and rushed out, back up, not bothering to close his door once more.

"Here. A token of apology for scaring you. May you have a nice night." Without so much as breaking a sweat, Simon smiled kindly, presenting his gift to the youth, prepared to walk back home as soon as he accepted it. He was not going to make the conversation drag out, being intelligent enough to know he was not trusted- and he was not expecting to be.

"Once again, I am sorry."

Letting shot and sharp breaths escape his lips as the older Alpha ran down the stairs, the feminine looking omega’s once small amount of tears that had gathered in his eyes continued to increase; whimpering noises and painful sounds fell from his mouth.

Your going to die.

Close the door.

Close the fucking door.

Whining as he heard the much larger Alpha make his way after the short amount of time that he found himself not shutting the door, the gorgeous looking boy cried out as he came closer whilst his eyes stared at the object in his hand; tears immedietaly falling as he passed over the frozen treat.

… Ice … Cream … ?

With his hands shaking as he slowly reached over to accept the dessert, the pretty omega looked down at the item before glancing up at very large alpha in front of him; continuing to cry.

“ …… T-T-Thank you … “

As if flipping the switch in his confused brain, the fragile omega slammed the door and quickly locked the last remaining locks; sliding down the door as he cuddled himself whilst trying to calm himself down.

What?

For what he had noticed, his way of apologizing was counterproductive. He did not want to cause the young man to cry. That was truly not his purpose.

Walking back home, he refused to linger around. If the man was going to see him again right there, surely he'd get scared even further. He was aware of his own height and overall size- yes for sure he looked menacing.

Shutting his own door behind himself and locking it, the middle aged male finally went to put his groceries into the fridge, leaving behind one single ice cream before tucking the rest of the package into the freezer to keep cool. He was mildly hungry after a long day yet simultaneously his appetite was not quite there. Yet he was not the type to let himself feel overwhelmed.

From the fridge, the alpha selected a can of baked beans, not quite feeling up to the task of actually cooking other than dumping the contents into a ceramic bowl and popping it into the microwave for a minute or so to warm it up. Such way of eating was not a habit but there was a large chance he'd be getting it from now on, considering how he would be at home so much more often.

The apartment smelled like fresh air... His scent was gone. Of course it was, it had been ten years. Well, almost. The date was coming up in less than a week and that would make it ten whole years. He needed to stop thinking about it. But it was difficult. His sweet Sam was the love of his live. They were 20 and 19, happily married and living the life for 4 years and a half, finally managing to move out of Simon's family's place. Waking up to kisses, decorating the empty walls together, buying furniture and cuddling during the long nights, planning our their future. How they'd have a child, how they would grow old together and visit the sea every year, fly to France and Hawaii someday for a vacation. Then the symptoms became obvious: pain during sex so bad that Simon decided to stop it altogether, chronic back pains, unusual fatigue, weight loss... Samuel slowly becoming a walking skeleton in contrast to his healthy plump self. Ovarian cancer. Stage four. Six months spent in hospitals and then everything was gone.

Solitude was overwhelming.

Startled by the microwave oven's loud bleep, the alpha jumped a little, collecting himself. He needed to empty his mind, distract himself.

He couldn’t remember how long he was sitting on the floor for but once he managed to calm down, he immediately made his way over to his boring bedroom; collapsing into the clean sheets that his older sister clearly made before she left.

Curling up into a small ball as he covered himself in duvets and blankets, the fragile looking omega felt his eyes throb from the stains of the tears; chewing against his fingernails as he thought about what happened in the last couple of hours of his day.

That Alpha was … Kind.

Don’t be such an easily manipulated idiot. This is just like what happened with Christian. Look how that ended up.

Quickly shutting his eyes on the reflex of his ex-husbands name, the pretty boy instinctaly resting his hand on his stomach as he tried to get to sleep; shutting down the memories that would keep him away.

He didn’t want to think about that right now.

Walking over to the microwave, the blonde pulled the ceramics bowl out, staring at the food contained. Now his previously lacking appetite was completely gone. He had no desire to eat, not even that little. He wanted to lay down and get some rest. He'd have plenty of time to mourn tomorrow. And every other following day... he was going to be alone and free afterall... He already knew that mourning and negativity were going to make things worse. That was not something Sam would want to see.

Shaking his head to himself, the alpha sat down and placed the bowl on the table, next to the ice cream he had left behind, determined to force himself to eat.

Ice cream.

Involuntarily his thoughts drifted back to the fail-looking man upstairs and his absolutely horrified expression. Poor thing. He knew just his name yet the previously seen health card's information was still present in his mind. Panic attacks. Why did he not think it through? Well, sure he did not expect the boy to be living alone. But again, if he was prone to panic attacks, did that not mean losing his wallet could have triggered fear either way? Perhaps he was not even at fault for those tears.

He must have been through a lot. Poor child... He looked completely vulnerable. The thought that such person most likely faced something so bad that it left them scarred for life at some point was heartbreaking.

Perhaps he'd see him again. If they bumped into each other, he'd make sure to ask how he is. He is young... hopefully he won't become stuck in such state, not as he himself had. A little bit of kindness comes a long way. Always...

Reaching into the bowl, Simon realized it was nearly empty. Ah. The man's lips curled up into a subtle smile and he let out a soft sigh. He might as well go to bed.

Taking the now melting ice cream off the counter, the caramel-eyed alpha headed for their- his bedroom, stripping his clothes off and throwing himself upon the soft bed.

It was going to be alright. He was going to be alright. He no longer cried. The progress was small but it was there. Everything was going to be fine, even if slowly. If Sam would have been able to say something, it was surely going to be that.

Fluttering his eyes open to look blankly up at the plain white ceiling as the sunlight escaped through his curtains, the feminine looking omega found himself turning on his side to curl up into a small ball; letting out a small sigh from tiredness.

Slowly after a while of thinking of empty thoughts alone in his warm bed, the gorgeous looking boy stood up from his bed as he stretched before slipping on some fluffy slippers; moving into the kitchen to make some eggs.

Cracking the food into the pan that was placed on the stove, the beautiful boy soon made himself some scrambled eggs; happily eating away at the fluffy yellow food.

Cleaning away his equipment and his plate before wrapping the oversized jumper tighter around his body, the pretty omega moved outside of his apartment to move down the flights of stairs after locking the door behind him out of habit; walking to get his mail.

Opening his letter box slot to retrieve him and his sisters mail, the light green eyed boy flicked through the letters to find only one out of the 12 letters were addressed to him; shutting the box behind him.

It wasn’t like anyone but a credit card company would mail him in the first place.

Waking up in the morning, the alpha had a quick breakfast of sunny side ups and some yogurt, the sleep having helped him clear his head quite a bit. He felt better than the previous night yet the trick to it was not thinking too much about anything.

Throwing on a pair of loose sport pants and a black tight fitting shirt, Simon packed a water bottle in a small backpack along with a towel. His first morning at home in a while was going to be the opposite of moping around. Checking his pockets for keys, his wallet and cellphone, the man put on his running shoes and exited his apartment.

Upon exiting, his eyes immediately caught a glimpse of the small-framed neighbor checking his mail. It was Kim Jae. The blonde recognized the younger man in an instant, his vulnerable appearance having left quite a deep impression in his mind the previous night.

"Good morning." The man spoke with his usual gentle mannerism as he locked the door, a smile already present on his lips.

Deciding to turn on his heel to move back upstairs into his apartment which he planned not to leave that same day, the feminine looking omega jumped at the blonde haired alphas sudden announcement of his presence; blinking up at him with wide surprised eyes.

Pausing for a few moments to awkwardly stand there, the fragile looking boy re-read through his mind a suitable reply to the much older man in front of him that he recognized from last night; hesitating to speak up.

"I-I-I umm ... H-Hello ... I-I mean g-good morning to you t-too sir."

"There is no need to be that formal." The older Alpha's smile got even sweeter, a trace of sadness hidden within. The young man was much too obedient and much too vulnerable. No matter how many times he thought of him or saw him, his impression of the boy was not changing. Who in the world would bear to hurt someone like that?

"My name is Simon Jones. You can even call me old Simi." The blonde chuckled softly, his entire presence showing nothing but friendliness. "I am sorry for startling you so bad yesterday. I truly did not mean to. You are little Kimmy yes? How do you feel today?" The nickname was given automatically, out of habit even considering their ages. He already knew him to be 22, having checked that much on the health card.

That was all he wanted to really know. Little Kimmy's state was concerning so the man could not really help himself from worrying. It was all in his very nature. If there was something he could help with, he'd gladly do it.

With his gaze immediately dropping to the floor as the handsome alpha gave him a sweet smile, the fragile looking omega pulled the length of the jumpers sleeves over his skinny hands; scuffing his shoes against the floor of the apartment building.

“ I-I-I …….. I-I’m sorry … “

Innocently glancing up at the blonde haired man as he continued to speak to him, the feminine looking boy examined his kind and friendly expression on the other mans face whilst he introduced himself; panicking a little as he seemingly knew of his name.

“I-I … I-I am okay … How … H-How are you?”

It was … It was weird to have a nickname.

He never had a nickname before.

Little Kimmy was nervous and uncomfortable. It was quite obvious from the way he was looking at the floor. If the boy had ears, they'd be pointing to the floor and if he had an actual tail, it would surely be tucked in between his legs. Simon knew better than to continue the conversation on forever.

"I am good, relieved to know you are better. I need yo apologize, I have seen your health card so I know you tend to suffer of panic attacks. I really feel bad to have caused one myself." The male sighed. No matter how much he kept apologizing, he was still feeling a bit bad about the whole situation.

"I'll be going running a little." He explained more with patience. "Oh I know. Would you want another ice cream? I wanted to give the entire pack to you yesterday but I was afraid it would scare you instead. There is still plenty in the freezer, more than you can eat on your own."

Listening politely as the large blonde haired alpha answered his question, the fragile looking omega flinched due to the handsome man mentioning his health card; his wide eyed becoming frantic to look anywhere but the older alphas face.

Fuck.

"A-Ah ... I s-see ... Don't worry about it, t-there is no need to a-apologize ... "

Holding onto his mail tightly as the caramel eyed alpha continued to talk, the light green eyed boy let his thoughts drift to last night when he remembered the older man pass him the ice cream; believing that he must have left it on the side as if would now be in a liquid form.

" ... M-Maybe some other time."

Seeing how his offer was rejected, Simon did not insist. He continued smiling, nodding softly. "That's alright, no worries. Then I will be going now. Take care of yourself and have a nice day, little Kimmy." The boy was somewhat similar to a squirrel... was he not?

Cutting the conversation short, the older alpha exited the apartment complex, breathing in the fresh air of the morning. He loved that smell- it was doing a great job at getting him feel livelier. Whoever said exercise helped, they were not lying. At all. Sure, at times getting up from the bed was a challenge but when possible, Simon made sure not to skip over his morning routine of running. Even when at work, he still used to try and find the time to keep it up, despite it often looking ridiculous.

Starting on his slow running, he focused on his surroundings, not wasting the minimal level of morning silence with earphones or music.

He'd need to shower and look at what he has for work later... But it was going to be a peaceful day.

Watching the blonde haired Alpha reply to his answer before leaving him alone in the quiet lobby, the feminine looking omega gave him a small weak nod in reply to the announcement of his departure; waiting for him to full leave before he ran back up the stairs with his mail in his hands.

Unlocking his apartment door as he slipped inside the dim home, the fragile looking boy made sure to lock it again behind him before he made his way into the silent living room; walking over to the book shelf to pull out a new volume he planned on reading today.

Making a stop at his bedroom to pick up his blankets and pillows, the gorgeous looking omega placed the items down in a comfortable manner in the corner of the balcony of his apartment; sitting in his pile and wrapping himself up with the fabric.

Looking out into the view of the balcony gave him, the pretty omega pulled out his book and began reading as he enjoyed the small amounts of noise and the fresh air of the outside world; resting his head against one of the pillows as he read.

The entire run took a full hour. Simon always took pleasure in the simple form of exercise and again, this was a scenery he did not see all that often before. Returning to his apartment, the blonde felt that he was in a desperate need of a shower. A long hot shower to wash all the sweat of. And it was not as if anything was stopping him from going for it.

Stepping into the shower, the alpha relaxed, the warm water doing wonders for his aching back. Other than that, running made him feel amazing. Scrubbing himself clean, not missing any nook or cranny got him to hum cheerfully a tune belonging to a corny christmas carol despite it being so very far from that time of the year.

Wrapping a bathrobe over his body and drying his hair with a towel, the man sat down on his bed, the silence not being as comfortable as he wished. But it was fine, he wouldn't have the time to think about it.

Opening his laptop, Simon shifted thought his work mail. For nearly 10 years, he had been a photographer. One of the many well-paid professions that required one to be always on the move. It did help with taking his mind off of things, but it was all different now. He felt that he needed a break. A moment of stability. So taking up on a good yet less-paid job offer, he decided to become an editor for a magazine that he had worked for, freelance, numerous time. He would work from home from now on, with all the traveling reduced. Whether that had been a good idea or not, he was about to find out.

Yawning slightly as the feminine looking boy continued to read the book in front of him, the delicate looking boy placed the item down to stretch out his slightly aching back; wiping his eyes tiredly whilst he stood up from his nest-like pile.

Moving back into the apartment to make himself a cup of tea, the pretty omega jumped as a loud knock echoed through the quiet apartment; his head quickly towards the door that had made the noise.

Slowly walking over to the front door as he peeked through the spy hole, the beautiful boy immediately recognised his long time friend before starting to undo all the locks; opening the door whilst giving him a tiny smile.

“H-Hello Alex.”

Grinning down at the pretty omega as he walked through into the quiet apartment, the familiar beta walked over to the sofa before collapsing onto the soft furniture; placing his hands behind his hair.

“Heya sweetheart. C’mon I’m hungry lets go out and eat!!”

“O-Oh umm … I-I’m not too hungry.”

“Awwwww c’mon please!! I’ll pay I promise.”

“ …. Alright.”

Smiling brightly up at the younger omega, the brown haired beta jumped up from off the sofa; walking into his bedroom.

“Great!”

Pulling out a pair of skinny distressed jeans and a baggy jumper, the blue eyed man passed it back over to him to get changed into; ruffling the other man’s hair.

“Let’s get going!”

It didn’t take much longer until he was sitting in the handsome betas car on his way to the restaurant.

He didn’t want to go.

The alpha gave the pictures his full attention, quickly deciding which were to be discarded and which were to be edited and sent back. His plans were simple. He'd finish work in 30 minutes and just go to bed. It was early but there was nothing else that he wanted to do. No. To put it more bluntly, he wanted to sleep.

Beep beep-

The alpha jumped a little at the sudden noise interrupting the silence, glancing at his phone. A text message. He was not expecting any. He did not check it.

It was a mere 5 minutes that the sound interrupted him again, startling him a second time.

Yet he did not want to read nor reply. Sighing, the man looked back into his laptop's screen, shaking his head.

Only to be interrupted by his phone's loud and continuous ringing.

Giving up, the older alpha let out yet another heavy sigh, looking at his screen. Caleb Jones. Seeing the caller ID, he knew to give up any notion of not picking up. His brother was not the kind the get the message and stop. For all he knew, Caleb was about to call the police if he were not to answer 5 of his calls. This was already the third offense.

"Yes Caleb?" Simon spoke in a tired voice, making it sound more tired than he actually was.

"You finally pick up! Simi, let's go out for sushi!"

"What are you saying? I am a bit busy Caleb, working so-"

"What work?! You work from home right? i heard you gave up money and signed a contract.News travel fast. You were not even going to tell me, were you? So we are going for sushi!"

Ah. He already knew. Simon smiled wryly to himself. He knew this was for the best and that his brother was worried. He hardly contacted home lately and almost never contacted his friends. But truly, he was not the most active of people. He needed silence and calm.

"What? You plan to sit home and drown in depression? Get your ass dressed. We are going for sushi." As if reading his mind after the small pause, the man on the other side of the line already anticipated his answers, leaving the older alpha no alternative.

Ah...

"I know I know.... Just... give me half an hour to finish my work alright?"

"That sounds better... We will go for sushi. It's one of your favorites right?"

"Yes... thank you Cali..."

"That is my job. Hah. you know... maybe you should visit home if you have free time now... it would be better than to stay there alone...."

"I'll think about it. See you in a few alright? I'll finish work."

".......Alright. See you."

Putting his phone away, Simon was wearing the same half-smile. When they were young, the two did not use to get along. But now...? Now Caleb was the first person to check on him on a regular basis. He was a good brother. Sometimes he wondered if he deserved it.

Listening to the brown haired beta as he continuously spoke about his girlfriend Ellie, the fragile looking omega smiled and nodded politely along with the handsome beta before glancing out of the window to watch the scenery around him; letting his thoughts drift.

Pulling up at the popular sushi bar not too far from the apartment complex, the delicate looking boy moved out of the vehicle along with the older beta; walking over to the restaurant to quickly score a table.

“I fucking love sushi. Don’t ya?”

“Y-Yes … Y-Yes I do also … “

Managing to find part of the bar empty, the gorgeous looking boy quietly sat down as he looked around the busy bar; overwhelmed by the noise and the amount of people.

Jumping slightly as an intruding arm wrapped around his shoulders, the light green eyed boy looked innocently up at the grinning British beta who leaned down to ruffle at his hair.

“What do you want to eat?”
