"I don't understand why you're bringing me here." A man who looks more like a doll, due to his bright red hair and pale skin, states without any inflection in his tone. Though it is true, he can't understand why his friend had been so insistent on bringing him to some auction. The other male laughs as he looks at his companion. "Getting out now and then is good for you Zan. Besides, you might find something at the auction that is interesting or that inspires you."

With an internal sigh Zan looks out the window of the car as they continue on their way to this mysterious auction. What could he possibly be interested in at an auction? "Just what is this auction? You haven't told me anything since you dragged me out of my home." Zan's friend just grins at him. "You'll just have to see for yourself. I promise you won't be bored." When the car stops he gets out and motions for Zan to follow him.

"Come on, we need to check in and get seated." With a soft sigh Zan reluctantly gets out of the car and follows his friend through the parking garage to the elevator. Eventually they reach an empty hallway and go through a door where they enter a foyer with a receptionist at a desk. Zan's friend goes up and gets them checked in and soon they are taken through another door where they enter a large room with a stage.

Zan looks around and is perplexed by the odd set up. While there is seating with view of the stage, a large portion of the seating is in nooks or privated off somehow. They get seated off to one side of the stage in a boothlike area. Each of them is given a button before their guide leaves them and a waiter comes to see if they need anything to eat or drink as the auction gets under way. Zan looks at the button, turning it around in his hand. "That's to place a bet if you see something you like. There's a screen here to give you a better view and some details about what is up for sale." His friend shows him a spot on the table where a screen is currently black.

Just as their orders arrive, the lights dim and the auctioneer greets the crowd. "Welcome! Tonight we have many delights and oddities for your pleasure. Let's get started shall we?" With a smile he motions for the first object to be brought out. As the item is being brought out, it appears on the screen along with some background information and a spot where the bid amount will show.

OBLIVIOUS:
Zan is a very focused and serious individual. If it isn't a project of his, however, he tends to be oblivious to social cues and expectations. This has also led to some taking advantage of him.

STRAIGHTFORWARD:
Zan tends to call things as he sees them and doesn't believe in playing games. He is known to get a bit playful with those he is close to,

but those people tend to be few and far between.

QUIET/SECLUDED:
Zan doesn't talk much to anyone, even with customers. Often he is known for his tendency to shut himself in to work on various commissions, but this doesn't stop him from being invited to various shows or parties in order for people to attempt to persuade him to create something for them.

PARTICULAR:
Even before his reputation grew, Zan only took commissions that caught his interest. This tendency is noticed in all aspects of his life, from his clothes, the materials he uses in his designs, and even to the food he eats.

LOYAL:
Zan lets very few close to him, but those he does he is intensely loyal to. This has caused him to go a bit overboard at times and led to some enjoyable memories as well as some terrifying ones.

Biography:

Zan's life has had many ups and downs. Perhaps the biggest being when he lost his parents when he was little and having been bounced around the foster care system for several years before being placed in his permanent home. Fortunately he did well in school despite all of that and so was able to go to a good university to learn what he needed for his scraft.

Like hail on a glass pane, the drumming of fingers was as relentless as it was loud. Each click of the tip of his nails on the table echoed the tumultuous thudding of his heart beat. His face, rigid with tension, belied his youthfulness. Despite his pure, untainted looks, he seemed to have aged a decade in the past few minutes. The moment the stage lights dimmed and the auctioneer began his introduction, Xander Lacerda couldn't help the increased palpitations of his heart and the cold sweat that seeped out and glistened on his furrowed brows.

Moments passed as Xander slipped in and out of a heightened stupor, unable to control the fear that gripped tightly at his chest. His eyes were large and watery while the tears began to glisten at the corner of his emerald-colored eyes. The world seemed to past by in slow motion. All his blurred vision could make out was a large hand coming at him in the slowest way possible.

Then, the hand cracked across his face, snapping it back with the force of its blow and causing his head to reel sickeningly as it slammed into the wall behind him. When the black dots that covered his vision seemed to disappear, Xander found himself standing in the middle of the stage with a large man holding his arms tightly behind his back. The pain of his hold caused him to let out a startled little gasp of pain.

"I told you to walk, you little whore. Shoulda' listened to me," the man whispered roughly into his ear, the breaths heavy and laced with an obvious, carnal desire. The sting on his reddened face dulled into an ache, as if some lazy torturer was standing right behind him, only applying enough pressure to be an annoyance. Xander began shivering as if the room was suddenly a hundred degrees colder. Inaudible whimpers shot out of his throat involuntarily, and the man behind seemed to tighten his grip at the delicate little noises.

Xander tried to ignore the obvious bulge grinding against his bottom. but the slight breeze that hit the skin below the hem of his raggedy shirt made the act even harder to forget. With his blonde. shoulder length hair, green eyes and pale skin, Xander was the embodiment of feminine perfection. Beneath the large shirt that he always wore was a skinny body that although malnourished, was smooth and free of any blemish. Not only that, the wires around his neck and the chains on his wrists tended to make others view him as nothing more than a sex toy.

Xander stared straight into the audience, but couldn't see much due to the squinting of his eyes. The stage, lit like a candle in complete darkness, was the kind of brightness that seared into his retinas--the one that made him close his eyes for fear of going blind; a brightness that would make fresh snow look grey and dull. It was a brightness to rival the sun itself.

"Our first item today is...," the auctioneer began enthusiastically. All Xander could do in the moment was hope that whoever bought him would be decent enough to give him pants.

Zan doesn't pay attention at first as he's busy staring down at the drink his friend had ordered him. What is it? A slight wrinkle in his forehead is the only external sign of his confusion as he continues to stare down the almost glowing beverage with, what he can only presume, to be artistic decorative embellishments on it. He isn't even sure how to drink it as most of the rim is covered and there doesn't seem to be a straw in the glass.

Breathing out through his nose in resignation, he looks up at his friend to ask how Zan is expected to drink this concoction. Only to see that his friend is immersed in whatever item is currently up for sale. A faint turn down of the corners of his mouth signifies his irritation, but glances over to where he swears his friend had said the button to call the waiter back over was. Frowning a bit more, the wrinkle becoming a touch more pronounced, Zan reaches over and hits a button.

After he hits the button a screen suddenly pops up and thanks him for his purchase. He jolts slightly and looks at his friend again who is looking at him this time. Seeing he has the other's attention, Zan flicks a finger at the screen. "What is this talking about 'Cecil? I hit the button for the waiter didn't I?" He asks though his friend only knows it's a question from knowing the other so well. Zan has never been the most, easily read individual and his barely noticeable tone inflections didn't help any.

The man Zan called 'Cecil' slowly shakes his head, both amused and stunned. "No Zan. That button is on the wall." Cecil explains slowly and points to it. "The button you hit means you just bought the 'item' that was up for sale." Zan looks at his friend blankly and doesn't seem to comprehend at first what he's saying. After a few moments, he finally blinks and tilts his head to one side minutely.

"Okay then." He states, and after a pause speaks up again. "So, what did I buy exactly?" He asks head fully tilting to one side to which Cecil can only start laughing, a tiny bit hysterically. "Oh, you'll see soon enough my friend. They'll be coming to get your payment and give you your purchases after the auction is over." Cecil shakes his head in disbelief. Only Zan would be capable of accidentally buying that.

Zan just blinks at his friend then shrugs and finally figures out how to drink his beverage. He pays slightly more attention to what is up for sale going forward but other than a few pieces that make him a touch curious, doesn't place a bid for anything. After he goes to follow the person come to take him to pay for what he had bought and hand all the paperwork and such over along with the item. Cecil follows as well, obviously, and soon they (Zan) are waiting with folder in hand for the item to be brought in. At the very least Zan figures he can shove the item someone where and sell it if he doesn't like it.

Or so he thinks until his 'purchase' is brought in. "Thank you again for your patronage. We hope you enjoy your purchase and look forward to seeing you again." The employee states with a mild bow before taking their leave. Zan just blinks and turns to his friend, the wrinkle between his eyebrows making a return. "Is this a joke?" He asks confused to which Cecil just starts laughing again and walks away shaking his head. "Come on, we need to get going if we're going to make it to dinner." Cecil snickers out. Zan frowns and follows after not understanding why his friend is laughing. Soon they are in the car and on their way to whatever place Cecil picked out.

The bidders in the audience were catcalling and laughing, and Xander could feel their leering glances burning on his skin. Xander knew that the auction wasn't at all going to be pleasant for him, but this was so much more worse than he could have ever imagined. He'd liked to think he was strong enough and brave enough to not cow under stronger influence, but he was standing half naked on a stage beneath the downright hungry gaze of a room full of horny men, one of whom was going to buy him and used him however he wished. And he was so goddamn scared that it felt as if he was about to piss himself or break down crying.

The bidding started, and Xander tried desperately not to pay attention to the numbers being called or the beeps sounding out throughout the room, indicating that someone was trying to bid. He tried to think of something else, but his mind wandered to his biggest fears, like whether he'd be allowed food and water or not. He wondered how badly the sex will hurt, if there was going to be, and wondered if his new 'owner' will do anything to make it easier on him or if Xander's pain will add to the man's enjoyment.

The auctioneer kept teasing the men with commentary, trying to drive the price higher. He called out the flush on Xander's cheeks, and told the men how prettily they might mark up his skin. He made Xander turn his back to the audience, so he could lift up his over-sized shirt to reveal his bare bottom and wax poetic about his ass. He brought a hand down sharp and hard against one cheek, leaving it stinging and no doubt red. Xander counted his breaths in his head and tried desperately not to panic.

The bidding seemed to go on forever, and with it Xander's humiliation, until finally the auctioneer banged his gavel and cries, "SOLD! To Zan Ula for..."

Xander tried not to stagger at the mere thought that someone had bought him. The sudden realization made his brain go into overdrive and Xander missed hearing the amount that he was bought for. He tried not to hyperventilate, because the idea of being sold for even one cent had seemed absurd to him until this very moment, until some guy just went ahead and beat out all potential bidders in order to get him. The bids he heard were prices that were off the charts. He couldn't even imagine the price he had over his head. Whoever bought him was most likely enormously wealthy, and willing to spend an insane amount of money on someone like him. He wondered idly as he was ushered of the stage if that fact should have made him feel excited or scared.

When he got back to the holding room, a handler immediately brought him to the room that his buyer was held in. "Thank you again for your patronage. We hope you enjoy your purchase and we look forward to seeing you again," the handler stated with a mild bow before exiting the room. Xander, scared out of his wits, simply kept his eyes closed throughout the whole time they were in the room. He heard snickering and at that moment Xander's tears began to flow. He felt himself being lead out of the room, and in what felt like a lifetime, he found himself in a car with two, quite handsome men.

Zan waits for a few minutes to see if his friend will explain to him why he keeps snickering before finally being irritated enough to ask. "Cecil. Explain what you find so amusing." He stares at his friend expectantly. Cecil looks at the other for a moment before laughing for another long moment before finally answering while still continuing to chuckle. "It's just too... Well, you I suppose." The man takes a few steadying breathes before explaining as he can see his friend's confusion and growing irritation with him. "Only you would somehow go to an auction and accidentally buy a person."

Zan narrows his eyes slightly, not quite sure how to take the other's comment but decides to just let it drop. For now. Instead he moves on to his next question. "What..." He pauses and frowns harder, his eyebrows furrowing together to cause some wrinkling between them. "What do I do with him?" That may be the most confusing thing to him at the moment. What does one do with person they've bought? While he's heard of people paying for sex, Zan is fairly certain this is not the same kind of situation. When Cecil just shrugs at him and states non-helpfully "Whatever you want." he frowns before sighing and looking out the window, his face returning to its normal expressionless state.

This causes him to get his first glimpse of the human that is now 'his.' The being in question is, simply put, filthy and far too thin. "Will they allow" he waves a hand at the being Is that a boy or a girl?, he thinks idly to himself, "all of us in?" The rag the other has on does little to serve as clothing by any stretch, and Cecil tends to take them to places that have ridiculous standards for their patrons.

Cecil shrugs unconcerned. "We're going to one of mine so it's not a problem. You'll want to get your pet some clothes though. Unless you plan to have him go around naked all the time. That thing he's wearing is only fit to be burned." Zan gives the barest of nods in agreement Ah. So a boy then. Good. He found the male population much easier to be around. Females tended to talk too much or be in a constant state of nitpicking and inconsistency.

Soon after the small exchange they arrive at the restaurant. It is one of the most sought after places in the city with a waitlist that tended to be months long, if not a year. Needless to say the owner and his companions were ushered right in and to a private area that was screened off, and not one of the employees bated an eye nor made a comment about the filthy tag along they had. Instead they brought out a cushion to put in a corner of the area for male to sit on. When Zan sees the cushion he frowns and asks the employee about it. "Why did you put a cushion in the corner?" The employee bows at the waist. "I'm sorry sir. Would you prefer it next to you for your... companion to sit on?"

Zan stares blankly at the waiter, the barest hint of a frown on the corners of his mouth. "He is a person, is he not? Bring another chair to the table." Done with the whole affair he turns his attention to the menu and misses the look of shock that crosses the waiter's face before it is schooled back to its professional mask. "Of course sir. Right away." Cecil covers his mouth with a hand to stifle his laugh.

Soon a chair is brought out and placed at the table. Zan snaps the menu closed and sets it before the newly set spot. "If you can read then find something you want to eat. If not I will order for you." He states simply. Cecil sighs softly and shakes his head with a smile. "Zan, you should also ask if he has any allergies. It wouldn't do to have him have an allergic reaction and have to go to the hospital within a few hours of you getting him." He says with exasperated fondness.

Zan blinks and stares at his friend. "Oh. I had not thought of that." Nodding, he turns back to the male beside him. "Be sure to tell me of any allergies you have." With that the waiter returns with water and to get their drink orders, and meal orders as well if they are ready. Cecil orders some appetizers for the table while Zan puts his order in for both some wine and food.
