Name: Garnet Flanagan

Age: 22

Color: Red

Personality: Garnet is a rather flamboyant guy with a whole lot of energy. While growing up he was raised with proper education. Garnet grew up in a mansion that his daddy and mommy owned and they graciously allow him to live there with them. He has proper etiquette and proper dressage. Garnet can usually be seen wearing a suit of some sort, or some other form of high class clothing. He loves to read. However, Garnet is also very quirky and awkward due to his wealthy up bringing. He has a hard time understanding 'poor people'. On top of that, he likes to goof around whenever he is not in the presence of his family as he can finally relax and his true self starts to shine very brightly.

Smart, High Maintenance, Proper, Neat, Organized, Weird, Odd, Strange, Dork, Joker, Playful

Other : Garnet cannot stand getting dirty and likes his things neat, organized, and pristine.

Orange [Played by BlaqueCatt]

Name: Adrian Blake

Nickname:

Age: 18

Color: Orange

Appearance: Adrian stands at 5'8" with a thin, lanky build, and long legs. He has pale skin, fiery amber eyes, and wild dark orange hair that sticks up at various odd angles. He wears ripped black skinny jeans, ankle-high black combat boots that are dirty and beaten, and a black band t-shirt with orange lettering. He also has six piercings in each ear - three black ball studs on the lobe and three black hoops on the top.

Personality: Adrian is the type of person who clashes with authority. He hates being told what to do, and he does what he wants, when he wants to, regardless of what others say. He has a violent streak, and has been suspended on more than one occasion for picking fights. Despite his attitude problems, he is very protective of those he feels he is close to, specifically the rest of the Rainbow Six.

Other: He and Roland have been close friends since middle school, and are always getting into trouble together. His behavioral issues stem from a difficult home life, as his father left before he was born and his mother is abusive.

Yellow [Played by hal7283]

Name: Roland Richelieu

Age: 18

Color: Yellow

Appearance: Blonde hair, yellow eyes, tall, reasonably toned. See visual reference

Blonde-hair-animes-anime-30920297-608-878.jpg

Personality: Stubborn, arrogant, bad tempered. Intolerant of those who he considered "stupid", but will show respect if you earn it. In other words, Tsundere?

Description: Roland Richelieu is someone commonly seen as a "trouble maker" among the students. He drinks, he smokes, he skips more classes than he attends them, hangs out with the wrong people(actually more like he leads that said people), and gets into fights, A LOT. Once he even punched a teacher. It's rather a miracle that Roland wasn't expelled from school. Rumors has it that his rich father gave a substantial donation to the school to keep the teachers quiet. This would also explain why his grades are constantly among the top twenty students of the school.

It seems ironic that such an individual would end up becoming a Magical Boy fighting for peace and justice, and having the power of light which heals his allies. In battle he much prefer to use his light shooting barrage of beams vaporizing the evil minions than healing people.

Green [Played by Yukio Takamiya]

b0cf8e76e4ceccd7eed9961680e548a1.jpg

Name: Donovan Chase

Age: 19

Colour: Green

Appearance: Green hair, green eyes, pale skin, tall.

Personality: Calm, logical, always the peacemaker if any of the colours don't get along, very loyal.

Description: Donovan has always been the type to unconsciously draw others to him with his kind nature. Since young, he's had a special affinity with plants and discovered his ability when he was six. In school, he would normally be seen, surrounded by both male and female. But despite his seemingly perfect self, Donovan's personal life wasn't all that perfect. He had a sister diagnosed with leukemia just recently and their parents were long gone even before that. Donovan may seem perfect, but deep inside, there are times he'd wish everything would just end.

Blue [Played by Noise Prince]

Name: Dominic Wise

Nickname: His family sometimes calls him Nick but he doesn't like it

Age: 18

Color: Blue

Appearance: Dominic usually ties up his blue shoulder-length, thick, wavy hair that's a and he has dark olive skin. He's 5'9, so not the tallest guy around, but he has pretty long legs which can make him seem taller than he is. He's got a fairly athletic build, from years of mixed martial arts. He can seem a little intimidating, on top of it all, due to his sharp, icey blue eyes, despite being a fairly gentle and well-tempered person.

Personality: Dominic tends to keep to himself, and rarely initiates anything socially himself, but is very friendly to people who come and talk to him, or invite him to do things. Despite this, he struggles to feel like he has any particularly meaningful relationships, and has a hard time feeling comfortable making deeper connections with people. As friendly and open as he seems, he's rarely one to share particularly private information.

Other: He used to be allergic to strawberries, but after careful avoidance growing up, he's no longer allergic and now can't get enough of them. He loves video games but oddly enough nothing with violence as a mechanic.

Purple [Played by BlaqueCatt]

Name: Raven Hayes

Nickname: Rae (pronounced 'Ray')

Age: 18

Color: Purple

Appearance: Raven stands at 5'2" and has a small, thin build. He wears black skinny jeans, black Converse with white accents, and a plain dark purple sweatshirt that is too big, allowing him to cover his hands with the sleeves and hide himself completely if he pulls the hood up and tucks his legs in against his chest. He has amethyst eyes and matching straight hair that is styled so that it is relatively short in the back with bangs that cover his right eye. He has a black faux-gauge earring in each ear and a black choker around his neck.

Personality: Raven is introverted, shy, and quiet. He spends most of his time alone, and it takes persistent yet gentle coaxing to get him to open up, as he is wary of trusting others.

Other: Raven loves rock music, and plays the guitar. He also sings, but is too shy to do so in front of anybody.

The Colorless

Black [Played by hal7283]

Name: Morgan Blackburn

Age: ???

Color: Black

Appearnce: Black, long hair, black eyes. Pale skin, frail looking body. See visual reference

0EAE620EDBE75AD5E586B37C7F6623B2-01.jpg

Personality: Mischievous, schizophrenic, erratic, impulsive, calculative, unsympathetic, cruel.

Description: Not much is known about the young man known as Morgan Blackburn other than he supposedly transferred to this school around a year ago. Despite being the leader of the villain group "Colorless" he does little when it comes to actual leading, content to let the other two use their powers at will and only intervene when asked to. That being said when he does make a move on his own it usually causes great peril for the heroes. He enjoys seeing people fell victim to their own internal darkness, and would harness that darkness for his own enjoyment.

Gray [Played by Noise Prince]

Name: Sylvio Williams

Nickname:

Age: 19

Color: Grey

Appearance: Almost bob-length grey hair, and dark grey eyes, he has a very sharp looking face that's not particularly inviting. He has a wiry build and cool, pale skin.

Personality: Sylvio is intense. He feels hard and he expresses hard. He doesn't relate well with others because he'll either be too excited about something he's interested in and freak out others interested in the same thing, or he'll end up screaming at someone in the library. He tends to lose himself when he gets really focused on something, when he really wants to do a good job with it, to the point where it can get dangerous, such as he might forget to eat, or accidentally hurt himself and not notice. Naturally, this leads to him forming very strong bonds with those who have some authority and can at least tolerate him.

Other: Basically worships the ground Morgan walks on and does an okay job at hiding that fact from everyone but Morgan.

White [Played by Yukio Takamiya]

Name: Nathan Gales

Age: 18

Colour: White

Appearance: White hair, grey eyes, the palest of skins.

Personality: Quiet, cold, rarely speaks, keeps to himself most of the time, does whatever the other colourless tells him to with out question, unfeeling most of the time but can be kind to people he cares about.

Description: Not many knows this, but Nathan's father is the Godfather of the local crime syndicate, and of course, he would be the next in line. In school, he would be known as the perfect student, quiet, studious and Head of the student council. No one would have expected him to be part of the Colourless(though his father would have been proud knowing his son wasn't that well behaved after all).

Name: Ari Crystalline

Age: ???

Color: None - Transparent - Mascot

Personality: Ari is stubborn and likes to go his own way. He's smart and likes to plan things out, usually for his benefit. He feels insecure about himself due to the fact that he was an orphan. Therefore, Ari feels left out and often feels 'invisible' to people. Which, in certain instances, he actually has been able to turn himself completely invisible. On one hand, being invisible to others makes him feel very lonely, on the other hand, he can get away with many things...

Stubborn, Smart, Deceitful, Tactful, Lonely

Other: Ari lives a normal life... up until he wakes up naked as a fairy one day... On top of it all, he has a mission and in order to change back he needs to complete it.

Raven kept his head down as he made his way through the hallways of his high school, his hands stuffed in the pockets of his sweatshirt and his eyes trained on the floor. Classes had just ended for the day, and those who didn't need to hurry to catch the bus were loitering by their lockets in small groups of three or four, chatting away aimlessly. Not a single person spared him a glance. He didn't mind, though; he was used to it, and he knew that it was better for people like him to remain unnoticed.

His black backpack bounced as he hurried down a flight of stairs, his right hand gripping the strap slung over his shoulder tightly to make sure the bag stayed in place. He was meeting up with his friends - just acknowledging that he had friends felt strange to him - at the back of the school, near the parking lot. They always met in the same spot after school ended, and it was there that they decided what they were going to do that day.

Raven was usually the first to arrive, as his locker was closest to the back entrance, so he was surprised to see that Adrian was already there. The red-head was sitting on the old concrete steps, elbows on his knees, chin in his hands, eyes closed and head bobbing along with the music playing through his headphones.

The smaller boy hesitated as he approached, not wanting to disturb the other; Raven wasn't very good with people, and he struggled to deal with Adrian's brash and outgoing personality, especially when he decided to tease him.

Cautiously, Raven took a seat next to Adrian, making sure to put some distance between them. Despite his best efforts to avoid alerting the other boy to his presence, Adrian seemed to sense that there was someone next to him. The red-head opened his eyes and lifted his head, removing his headphones and placing them around his neck as he turned to see who had arrived.

Raven felt his stomach drop when a grin slid across Adrian's face. "Hey, Rae," the taller boy cooed, leaning into the purplette's personal space. Raven scooted to the side, averting his eyes.

"Hi, Adrian," he replied quietly. Adrian sighed and gave Raven some space, but not before ruffling his hair, causing the other boy's cheeks to flush a light pink.

"Relax, I'm not gonna bite ya," he reassured the smaller boy, the grin having transformed into a friendly smile. "You should know that by now." Their little group had been together for about a year now - Raven, Adrian, Roland, and Dominic were all in the same grade, and they had met Garnet and Donovan, two college students, while hanging out at the mall - and although Raven had made some progress coming out of his shell, he was still very shy, even around his friends.

Raven drooped slightly at that, biting the inside of his lip. "I know. Sorry." Adrian just patted him on the shoulder before taking out his phone.

"No problem, kid." Raven rolled his eyes; they were the same age! Still, he didn't say anything, simply nodding and watching as Adrian scrolled through his music playlist. They did have one thing in common, and that was the genre of music they listened to: rock and alternative.

I wonder when the others will arrive?

Dominic was never the fastest to meet the others, so he was a little surprised to see that he was the third of the 'gang'. Adrian and Raven were both sitting outside, waiting at the typical meeting spot. Dominic was never really one to consider himself part of a specific friend group, he felt he kind of flitted in and out with various people, but this bunch, the six of them, were definitely what he felt were closest to what others seemed to have with friends. Maybe it was due to the dedication to meet and hang out so frequently, but Dominic was comfortable with it.

"Hey, guys," He greeted, sitting on the other side of Adrian. "Hope you're not picking on Raven like you usually do when you're left unsupervised," he joshed Adrian, though it was more for Raven's entertainment since he knew there was a chance Adrian couldn't hear him if he was listening to his music.

Sylvio was having less luck finding his group, though he was really on the look out for one person rather than both. He scanned the parking lot for the telltale sign of that long black hair Morgan had to his waist. It was an easy way to spot him, though he also had a gift for going unnoticed. He'd snuck up on Sylvio on more than one occasion, sometimes even when Syvlio was waiting for him, and expecting him. He checked his phone, to see if maybe Morgan wasn't coming to meet here after all. It'd only been a few minutes, but if Morgan sent a text, he wanted to answer back right away.

Getting out of class was never the easiest thing to do for Donovan whenever classes were over. He unconsciously attracted the attention of people wherever he went, and others naturally wanted to get closer to him. So when class ended, his desk would usually be surrounded by four to five people, all asking if he was free to hang out after school or just simply trying to chat him up. All of which Donovan would try to refuse politely. He didn't have the time to hang out most of the time, and if he did, it was usually with the same group of people he truly considered friends. Not a bunch of classmates whose names he had trouble remembering.

"Sorry, I won't be able to go today as well," he said with a forced smile, trying to squeeze he way out of the crowd. Once he did, with an excuse that he was in a hurry, Donovan bolted out of the classroom, immediately making way for the college entrance.

It was a while later that he finally reached the school. Donovan sprinted along the perimeter of the compound, heading towards the back where they usually met. Of course, he could have just gone in through the front, but it was often too troublesome to get a visitor's pass. It wasn't long before he saw the back fence, and the three students sitting on the concrete steps through it.

Smiling softly, Donovan's steps slowed to a jog, then to walking. He reached the fence and jumped, grabbing the frame as he did and hoisting himself over. "Hello," he greeted. "I see that not all of us are here yet." Donovan made his way towards the group and sat down beside Dominic. "Aah I'm beat," he said while leaning back and closing his eyes. "When are the others arriving?"

============

"Have this proposal sent to the principal for approval," Nathan instructed the vice-president, passing over a thin stack of papers. He grabbed his belongings and headed for the door. "Once it's done, I don't have to be informed, just put what we have planned into action." The door opened and Nathan stepped out, making way towards the parking lot where he would meet them.

He was mildly surprised to see Sylvio already there yet Morgan wasn't, but it didn't show on his features. On normal occasions like this when Nathan had student council duties to attend to, the others would be the ones waiting for him. Which was why it was odd for Morgan to not be here yet. Nathan knew that Morgan didn't have the best mental state and he would often be heard whispering to himself. So perhaps the raven haired man was off gazing somewhere again.

Nathan walked towards Sylvio, waiting a while before speaking. "Should we go look for him?" Though Nathan wouldn't ever admit it, he had a strange fondness for their leader and Morgan not being here was out of the norm. This made him slightly worried, even though he knew that it was unlikely for Morgan to meet any sort of danger. "If he forgets to meet us, I have a feeling we'll be waiting here till dark."

Class for Garnet had been over fairly early for him. All of his classes he had scheduled for the morning, as he was the type who woke up early. And so Garnet found himself with an abundance of time to do whatever he pleased. Certainly, he found the time to do his homework... However he was still finished with ample time. Finally, Garnet had settled down with a new book to read. Up until it was time to leave Garnet was practically glued to the book he was reading. His butler Dan had come to fetch him and escort him to a location upon which he would be meeting with some new friends he made. The location was at a high school, one that Garnet was not too familiar with nor cared too much about.

Apparently, the people he so happen to make friends with, the majority of them were in high school. And so, that's where they met. Garnet had been meaning to change the location... but unfortunately had been distracted with college... and his reading. The journey there was a quick one. Dan, who was driving made polite conversation on the way over while Garnet, who was sitting in the back seat looked out the window in wonderment. Upon their arrival was when Dan voiced his concerns. Seeing Donovan hop over the fence made him worry for his young master. "Pardon me for saying so, but I wouldn't have thought that you would associate with youngsters from these parts. They seem... juvenile..."

"I pondered the same question as well... I wouldn't say that they are exactly juvenile..." Said Garnet who had just put his book down. "Somehow... I feel drawn to them. I suppose one might say that each person is special in their own way. They are special in a way that I cannot put into words. Nonetheless I have agreed to 'hang out' with them. Our meeting was at best, lucky, and so you'll have to forgive my curiosity. Worry not, I will not partake in their juvenile practices." He said before unbuckling his seat belt. As much as he wanted to keep reading, he decided that it would be best if he left his book behind. After he was done getting out of the car, he looked over at his trusty butler, Dan and said: "Would you mind giving Sven a biscuit when you get home?"

"Certainly, young master. I trust you. Please do take care of yourself." Dan said in a worried voice.

"No worries. As I said, I am sure everything will work out fine. Thank you for your concern. I'll be off now. Bye-bye!" And with that Garnet closed the car door behind him and started to head over to where everyone else was. He took long strides at his leisure until he stopped right at the fence. Clearing his voice, Garnet called out to the other males, "Excuse me, gentlemen, but I, unlike Donovan, will not be jumping over this fence. It would be wise to pick a better location next time... You know, somewhere I don't have to jump over a fence... Nor get dirty for that matter." Garnet just stood at the fence, not daring to even so much as touch it. "A public place was a good idea... Just make sure it is truly open to the public. Thank you." He said with a wink.

The sky was fairly pretty today... Which was strange because usually when he was having a bad day the sky annoyed him. How could everyone else be having a good day when there was people like him who were suffering? Ari let out a sigh. None of that mattered really. People were very narrow minded and 'simple' things like that were often missed.

Ari didn't really think that he would be missed either... For about the millionth time he had another argument with the headmistress. On a normal day she was actually a fairly nice lady... But for whatever reason her personality clashed with his and well... Things have escalated to the point that he was sure that he would be kicked out soon. Hell, he was damn surprised that the headmistress had tolerated him for this long. To be honest, Ari wanted to leave but had nowhere to go... He had no one to take him in. He had no family. The orphanage was apparently his 'family' according to the headmistress. But honestly, he couldn't bring himself to actually 'love' anyone who lived there- nor worked there for that matter.

Still... The arguments that he always had with the headmistress always made him want to rebel in some sort of way... This time he chose to skip school again. School sucked anyway. He felt like the teachers were always looking down on him. He had no friends and never did as far as he was concerned. He was an outcast. The thing of it is, Ari wasn't against the idea of having friends, he just didn't go out of his way to make friends. That, and there was the fact that sometimes he felt claustrophobic when he was surrounded by too many people.

On top of that... He considered himself to be a freak. He was... abnormal to say the least... So he much rather be by himself anyway. Ari was already invisible to most of the world... The people around him seemed to be great at ignoring his existence. It was... lonely in all honesty. However Ari didn't really do anything to change that fact either- other than occasionally stealing. Although Ari did like the peace and quiet... Who needed people anyway? That was another reason he was laying in the grass. The tree next to him created a wonderful shadow that kept him out of the sun.

There was a gentle breeze. The sounds of nature- frogs, bugs, birds, and other noises in the distance were oddly calming for Ari. He liked to come here for the simple fact that usually no one ever came here. In fact, there was only a handful of times when he seen about three or so people walk through here. There was also the water, which was about five feet away from him. Sometimes he would go for a swim when it was too hot. Occasionally he would even go fishing... Yep, this spot was pretty ideal.

“Yes yes, let’s change the meeting place because YOU find it inconvenient. To hell with what the rest of us think!” Roland said tauntingly as he approached the group of “friends” he had made recently. Though he had to admit the circumstances of their meeting was quite extraordinary, to be frank with the exception of Adrian who he knew from childhood, the rest of these guys were really more like “associates from work”. He looked around at the group with a annoyed face since he despised pretty much all of them: Garnet is a spoiled prick, Donovan is a pretentious diva, Dominic is a brick of ice, and Raven is a spineless little bitch and that's simply the worst. When his gaze fell on Raven he tutted out of pure disdain for the shy little guy.

“So how about we finish our ‘boy scout’ business so we can get on with our lives? What’s the point of us meeting anyway?” Roland said as he reached in his pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Offering Adrian one before he got a stick and held it between his lips. Taking out a lighter he tired to light the cigarette but it seemed that his lighter ran out of juice. After a short audible "fuck!" He turned to Adrian and asked: “Got a light? I know you do.”

A figure in black seemingly appeared out of nowhere at the edge of the parking lot, standing on tip-toes and looking around, as if trying to find something, or someone. With the person’s slim stature, long black hair and most notably the beautiful, androgynous facial features, one may mistaken the person to be a female, yet there was something that was unmistakably masculine about him. After a moment of searching he found his target and a big smile came to his face.

“Hey guys! Over here!” The young man yelled and jumped, hands waving in the air. He then began running across the parking lot and heading straight towards a rather mono-chromed pair. As he cut a straight line across the filed he was greeting and waving goodbye to whoever he passed by, who all responded in kind: “Goodbye Morgan!” “See you tomorrow Morgan!” “Don’t forget the book I lend you Morgan!” and so on. Ever since he transferred to this school a year ago Morgan Blackburn had formed quite an impressive social network across classes and grades. He was the guy who seemed to know everyone and everything, who you could talk to get things done, or just to have some fun. But nobody seemed to know anything about him personally.

And today Morgan seemed to be in an exceedingly good mood, his long black hair flew behind him almost like a happy dog’s tail, wiggling out of sheer joy and excitement, even though he was panting from all the running there wasn’t a trace of discomfort or fatigue.

“Sorry boys. In a hurry! See yah tomorrow!” Morgan said as he cut across the group of six colorfully dressed boys. He took a brief moment to look back at the group, squinting slightly with a rather strange smile, then he turned back to look at where, or more accurately, who, he was heading towards initially, and moments later he was standing between the two, his arms resting on the others’ shoulders as he tried to catch his breath.

“Ha....ha....sorry guys I’m late.....ha...ha..Or are you guys early? What? Eager to see me huh? I’m so flattered!” Morgan chuckled slightly as he looked at Nathan and Sylvio, his most lovely recruits, comrades in this fantastical struggle between good and evil.

“There’s something I want to show you! You guys are gonna love it!” Morgan said as he took the hands of both young man and started running again, hopping joyfully as they left the parking lot behind them. He quickly lead the two into a quiet alley around the corner. Once he confirmed that nobody else was around he reached into his pocket and took out what appeared to be a dagger, with the entire thing being pitch black.

“Check this out!” Morgan smiled as he raised the dagger, and with one swift move swiped the dagger down, leaving a black “scar” in the empty space in front of him, then the “scar” widened on itself till the point which it was large enough for a person to fit through. Stepping in without hesitation he turned back at the other two waiting them to follow. “Come on! We don’t have all day! Umm, well, we kind of do but that’s beside the point!”

Once all three entered the scar disappeared behind him, and they were engulfed in utter darkness. Shortly after they found themselves in the middle of a large, circular room. Even though there was no clear light source the area around them were visible: gray floors, tall white walls which went up almost infinitely until it disappeared into darkness. The room was empty with the exception of a black round table and three chairs around it.

Morgan ran in front of the two and turned around with a smile: “Welcome to our secret hideout! I mean meeting up at the parking lot was good, but as a legitimate evil organization we need to have a base of operations right? So from now on, we’ll hang out here! ”

Morgan took out two more daggers, one white and one gray, and handed them to Nathan and Sylvio. He then said: “And the best part is, there’s no commute time! Just do as I did before and you can get here in a blink of an eye! And if you do it here it can take you to wherever you’ve been before. Neat huh?”

Raven lifted his head when he heard footsteps approaching, and he managed a small smile when he saw who it was. The purplette felt the most comfortable around Dominic out of all of them, as the blue-haired boy treated him kindly and never teased him for his shyness. "Hi Dominic," he replied softly, wrapping his arms around his legs and resting his chin on his knees, allowing himself to get a little more comfortable now that he wasn't alone with Adrian. Said red-haired boy simply flashed Dominic the middle finger in response, keeping his eyes trained on his phone as he scrolled through Twitter with his other hand. Even with the music blasting in his ears, he remained aware of his surroundings, a skill he had developed over years of street fighting.

A clattering sound caused Raven to tilt his head to the side, and he watched as Donovan jumped the fence and made his way over to them, acknowledging the older man's presence with a small nod. He couldn't help but feel inadequate when he looked at Donovan; Donovan was handsome and confident, the opposite of himself. At least he was able to look Donovan in the eye. Raven had made the mistake of meeting Garnet's gaze during their first meeting, and it had taken all of his strength not to curl up into a ball and hide. "Um, they should be here soon," Raven responded quietly, his eyes trained on the tips of his sneakers.

There was a moment of silence, and then the sound of a car pulling up next to the school. Both Adrian and Raven looked up, the red-head taking his headphones off and letting them sit around his neck, letting out a low whistle at the sight of the expensive car. Garnet stepped out, and once he was standing before them on the other side of the fence, Adrian stood and bowed mockingly. "Greetings, Your Highness," he said sarcastically, smirking over at Roland once the yellow-haired teen made his presence known. Adrian plucked the cigarette out of his friend's hand and dug a red lighter out of his back jeans pocket, lighting his own stick before tossing the device over to the other delinquent.

"I came 'cause I thought we'd be doing something fun," Adrian replied after taking a drag. He blew smoke into Roland's face just to irritate him, snickering. Then he met his friend's gaze and subtly gestured towards Garnet; both boys hated the prissy rich kid, and Adrian wanted a chance to mess with him, especially since he had refused to jump over the fence. That show of high-class privilege pissed him off, and he could tell it was grating on Roland's nerves too.

Raven, meanwhile, had moved as far away from Roland as possible, worrying his lip between his teeth and hoping that the older boy hadn't noticed how the purplette had visibly flinched upon hearing his voice. He already knew that Roland hated him, and he didn't want to make things worse by bringing attention to himself. It was at this moment that the smaller teen began regretting his decision to come here. No one seemed to want anything to do with him besides Adrian and Dominic, and he knew that Adrian just wanted to make fun of him and that Dominic was only being polite. He should have realized that no one would ever really want to be his friend because of how pathetic he was. He should have just gone back to an empty house and spent his time doing homework. It was too late now, though, and he was stuck with them. He could only hope that he could survive as long as he had to.

Dominic smiled and gave Raven a quick salute in response to him actually acknowledging him. He chuckled at Adrian's own greeting salute. Apparently he was listening. Not that it bothered him, Adrian could take it in good spirits. Besides, he tried to make Raven feel a little more included in the group, since he seemed to feel so out of place, being small in stature and character. But none of them had much in common, really, so with different lenses any one of them could seem like the sore thumb.

Dominic saw a familiar green figure approaching the side of the yard, throwing himself over the fence without missing a beat, like it was a natural mode of getting into a fenced area.

"This may be the first time all the cools have been here before the warms." Dominic observed out loud, slightly moving over to give Donovan more room besides him. Raven tended to be reliably early, but the other two of them could end up distracted or preoccupied and wind up later, especially considering Donovan had classes just before the high school let out.

Donovan wasn't the only one who didn't bother to consider the existence of gates, when Garnet finally arrived, he stopped at the fence, and called to them instead. Dominic thought he was actually drawing more attention by refusing to jump. He looked over at the gate. It was kind of far, but still. Of course, he wouldn't say anything, since he liked Garnet and didn't want to sound like a jerk. There was always a fine line between joking around and being rude, and he wasn't much of a betting man. Garnet might not realize it'd be unlocked at this time of day, for students to leave.

Not that he had to say anything, as Roland and his patent-pending scowl arrived and he was more ready to play antagonist than give someone the benefit of the doubt. Dominic rather liked Roland, too, despite his prickliness. He didn't really know many people like him, so while he was rude, Dominic found him a pretty interesting change of pace, which was probably not a great way to think of friends, however close to the definition they all were.

Sylvio noticed Nathan coming out towards him and waved enthusiastically, despite Nathan's moderate reaction.

"Morgan said he'd meet us out here," Sylvio replied with a shrug, looking at his phone again. He didn't get what Nathan meant until he clarified why he wanted to seek him out.

"I don't think Morgan would forget us,"

They didn't have to wait all night, as soon enough, Morgan had come out to meet them. Sylvio didn't look a lick like someone who would be called 'colorless' the way his cheeks lit up pink when he saw him. He started to run towards him as well, but stopped when lots of other people in the parking lot started waving and shouting hellos and other pleasantries. It was intimidating how popular Morgan was, and he didn't want to run towards the center of attention. He knew everyone thought it was weird that someone like Morgan would hang out with him, the weird kid. He'd overheard - anytime someone mentioned Morgan's name he felt compelled to pay attention- the way some kids would talk. That Morgan was so nice that he'd be friends with Sylvio and 'not make him explode'. His only saving grace was 'at least he turns off, unlike that Richelieu jerk.' Sylvio actually thought it was kind of funny, since he knew Morgan liked him more than any of these assholes.

"Hey, Morgan!" Sylvio greeted, his smile grew wider when Morgan took their hands, telling them he had something to show them, leading them away from the parking lot. He laughed excitedly, knowing it had to be incredible if Morgan was so excited to show them. And he was going to show them privately, which meant it had to be 'business-related'.

It was a good thing they were so far away from anyone else, because Sylvio gasped so hard at the sight of the dagger it sounded like it would have hurt.

"It's… wow!" He bounced on his toes, almost like he was trying to shake the letters in his head into words. "It's like it's not there! L-like a silhouette!" He settled back on his feet, eyes wide, and he got quiet. "…like a shadow…"

He was so excited by its appearance he forgot the possibility of it being a magical item with a function. Until Morgan sliced into air. He just slit a hole in reality, just a gash of nothing. Sylvio just about fell over backwards.

And he just about fell forward hurriedly following after Morgan into the scar. They could go inside! The scar swallowed them up, and Sylvio had to cover his mouth to keep from laughing more, he felt that he should be quiet in a place like this, whatever it was.

That thought flew out of his head and disappeared into the eternity above them as soon as he saw the room.

"Holy shit… Holy shit!!!!"

And then Morgan called it their secret hideout and he just about lost his goddamn mind.

"Oh my god!!!" He jumped and down in a few eager hops, his hands in front of him, moving up and down fast, like they didn't know what to do with themselves. "Morgan it's!!! This is!!!" He took a moment to breathe. "This is so great!"

He gasped again, softer than before, eyes wider than ever, when he took out two more daggers. Like his but in their colors, the colors he gave them.

He stared at in, mouth gaping for a moment. It was heavier than he expected, so solid…

Sylvio was recently given the power to control air and wind and this was about the coolest thing to happen to him.

"Wow… wow…. Morgan! Wow! Thank you!" He held the hilt tightly, getting a feel for it. This meant they could come here together basically anytime they wanted!

It wasn't long before he sat down that Garnet arrived, looking as pristine as ever. Though instead of jumping over the fence like he did, Garnet refused to even touch the wires, as expected of someone born in the higher class. "There's a gate just along the perimeter if you need it," Donovan said what Dominic didn't. He didn't intend to be rude of course, it just didn't seem right for Garnet to be standing there talking to them while separated by a fence. "Though you'll have to fill in a ton of stuff just to get a pass in. Like your name, contact details, reason for visit and whatnot. It's real troublesome."

Roland decided to make his entrance then, a mouth full of curses and words filled with anger and irritation. He really was hot-tempered. Donovan half expected Roland's head to explode as he spoke. Despite his thoughts, Donovan stared at Roland with what one would call an 'idiotic smile' on his face. And that smile remained as he spoke, if only to irritate Roland even further. "Cool down Roland. You don't wanna burst a vessel." Donovan was simply egging Roland on by now, though he knew when to stop before his egging on went too far. It was just amusing to see Roland so pissed sometimes. "I do feel that it's more convenient for you than Garnet and I though. Seeing how we're both coming over from college. You don't see us complaining." He continued on with a shrug, deciding stop the jokes.

His focus moved to Raven who seemed to resemble a tiny ball currently, curling in as if to hide away from the rest of the world. Poor guy, Roland must have scared him real bad. Donovan's hand reached pass Dominic to ruffle Raven's hair. "Relax a little would ya? He won't eat you, that's just gross." He said, then chuckled at his own little joke. To be honest, Raven may seem a little spineless for his own good. But that didn't make Donovan dislike him like Roland did, nor did it irritate him to no end. It just proved that they had someone in their group to look out for, and Raven would be that person.

===================

When Morgan finally arrived not long later, Nathan had to raise a brow at Sylvio's reaction. Of course, he knew the guy adored Morgan a little more than he should, but wasn't he a little too excited? Nathan stood at where he was when Sylvio took off, moving only a second later, slowly making his way towards the pair. A hand landed on his shoulder but he made no move to shake it off, though he didn't like people touching him most of the time. His face remained expressionless as Morgan panted and spoke at the same time. "My duties simply ended earlier than usual, there's nothing for you to be flattered about." He said simply.

Nathan couldn't resist the flash of irritation across his features as Morgan grabbed his hand and started to run. He hated it when the both of them were like this, annoyingly cheerful. It made it seem like he was the odd one out. Or maybe they were the odd ones for behaving this way, considering who they really were and what they were capable of. Nathan's legs sped up from a walk to a jog as he unwillingly kept up with his two comrades, stopping only when Morgan had led them to a quiet alley.

Nathan looked around the place, there was nothing. But considering the remoteness of the area, perhaps Morgan was going to show them something related to 'that'. He watched as Morgan took out a pitch black short blade and sliced a black scar into the air. What was this? Some kind of dimensional door? He thought as he followed Morgan and Sylvio into the scar. He was most probably right if they could enter just like this.

When the blackness cleared and the scar disappeared, Nathan realised they had arrived in a room made of colours of the colourless. A black abyss that made the ceiling, white walls that led to nowhere as well and gray floors. The room was circular with simple furniture right in the middle. Both Morgan and Sylvio were being so excited about the whole thing, but Nathan only had one thing to say. "It feels like we're a satanic cult that worships the devil rather than an evil organisation." He started to walk around the room, touching the walls and the table as if in deep thought. He only stopped again to receive the white blade from Morgan and listened to what the room was for. At least it saved travelling time and he could go to places in no time, like a kind of teleportation device.

Nathan experimented with the blade, slicing it through the air and a white scar opened up. He didn't walk through it and after a while, it closed again. "What happens if I put my hand through it and let it close on my arm? Will my arm be severed?" He asked randomly out of blue. It was just a question that popped into his head all of a sudden and he couldn't resist voicing it out.

  • 2 weeks later...

Garnet appeared to be amused when Adrian said 'your Highness' and in return he replied, "Fret not, my blood is not of royalty. No need to be amazed or anything." He teased the other male, all too knowing that he was being sarcastic. As for Roland, Garnet merely rolled his eyes, letting out a sigh as he pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. Roland could be a nuisance, especially when he tag-teamed with Adrian. However, Roland made one good point. Why had they met up again? Garnet wasn't usually the type to meet randomly without a cause... Interestingly enough, here he was... Meeting up with a group of misfits. Although if they had one thing in common, it was that they were all different and yet, somehow Garnet still felt a strange pull towards them.

If anything, he was curious to see if their... 'friendship' would go anywhere. "Ah, I should have guessed. I suppose I shall go through the hassle. Thanks for the tip, Donovan. I shall join you... gentlemen in a moment." With that Garnet left them, paying no mind to the two idiots with cigarettes other than to say, "By the way... Correct me if I am wrong, Roland and Adrian... You will be suspended if I report you to the principal." He said while taking a picture of them with his phone, "I suggest you get rid of those cancer sticks and make it snappy. Smoking on any campus, high school- any learning environmental establishment is strictly prohibited and punishable by law. So don't smoke while on the premises. You are barely old enough to buy them. I shouldn't need to inform you how disgusting that habit is let alone wasting your money on it." Garnet cleared his throat and coughed into his hand, "I will not repeat myself after this last warning, get ride of them because I will not hesitate to show your superiors."

There was a smirk that formed on his face, "Be right back." He said finally as he left them behind. Of course he knew that it wouldn't be that difficult to check in. Why? Well, Garnet knew that this was one of the schools his family had supported when it was founded. Throughout the years his family was notorious for supporting events at nearby educational institutions- which included this high school. He knew all too well how easy it would be just to walk right in. To be honest, he actually knew the principal by name... But he felt that it was more entertaining to leave that part out.

Ironically, as he was walking towards the front of the gate he was stopped by a young looking teacher. A woman who was perhaps mid-twenties. "Excuse me sir, are you visiting? You have to stop by the office and grab a pass if you are."

Of course when he responded, Garnet was polite as always. "Oh, of course, I was just heading there to pick one up. Don't mind me." He said, already knowing which way to get to the office. In no time he was able to find it. Garnet was surprisingly good at reading maps. And while he truly did not know the buildings layout, he could follow directions. Upon entering the office he had the pleasure of bumping into the principal. She was an older woman, 51 if he remembered correctly. "Good evening, Mrs. Walters."

At the call, the older woman perked up with a pleasant smile. "Oh, dear, you don't have to be so formal. Johanna is fine, Mr. Flanagan."

"Then just address me as Garnet." He interrupted.

"Oh." Johanna said with a pause a big smile forming on her face. "Then what brings you here, lad? Did you have business to discuss?"

Garnet hummed and then shrugged, "Sort of. Well... Actually I seemed to have made friends with some of the students who attend here. Would it be problematic if I join their group. I was informed that I should receive a pass and jumping the fence was not an option for me so..."

"Ah... I see." The principal said with a nod. She beckoned him to follow her. In her personal office, she opened up her drawer and tossed a golden tag to Garnet. "There you are. That's the one your father wears every time he visits. I am sure he won't mind if you barrow it. You can keep it if you'd like, especially if it would be more convenient. How does that sound?"

A smile formed on Garnets lips as he pinned the name tag onto his shirt. "Why thank you Johanna. Sorry to cut this conversation short, but I would like to get back to them. Thank you for having me."

"Oh no problem! Come back anytime, dear." She said, waving him goodbye.

After waving goodbye, Garnet made his way to the back exit. Opening the door, he appeared behind Raven, Donovan and Dominic. "Ta-da!" He cheered. "We meet again." He said with a small wave. As he opened the door, however, there was something peculiar by the way he did so... There was a tissue separating him from the 'dirty' door. "Greetings all." And then he crouched down next to the purple haired male, "Shy as ever, eh, Raven?" While he didn't know the male too well, he could tell that he was certainly shy. "Don't listen to your music too loud, you'll go deaf, Adrian." He said, teasing the delinquent. "Ah, Donovan, how was your classes?"

It was quite peaceful by the waterside... It was quiet, calm, and great source of fresh air. It was really too bad that Ari couldn't appreciate it. He didn't know why it was happening... But occasionally he would get these horrendous headaches. Sometimes it would be brief... Other times it would continue for hours. Typically if he had medicine, he'd take it... However, being out and about... It wasn't like him to just carry medicine around. So he was suffering with a spitting headache...

These headaches messed with him... And seemingly became stronger and stronger every time they occurred... They made him feel horrible... Ari quickly sat up and then stood up- feeling incredibly dizzy as he did so despite how slowly he had moved. "Shit..." He growled out, biting his bottom lip from the pain. His goal was to get the the convenience store... Which was about... Wait... How far again? His mind felt confused. His feet took two steps to the right and Ari almost fell over. Damn.. it was worse... He couldn't recall it hurting this much. "Wh-What's going on..?"

All in all, his whole body felt strange. This strangeness combined with the pain. He felt weak and confused. Crying out in shock as he felt a sharp pang of pain, Ari brought both of his hands to his head. He wavered, shifting with unsteady feet and a near delirious expression. At this rate he would be driven mad from the pain that consumed him. He just wanted it be over with at this rate. He wanted the pain to end already. There was nothing he could do to stop it. Ari struggled to stand, let alone keep himself upright. There were few times that he cried because of physical pain... And this was one of those times... The pain was unbearable. He had such a splitting headache that he feared that his head would actually split, or worse, explode.

He just wanted the pain to end...

Just end already...

Just end...

End.

Ari's eyes rolled back and he fell over.

Darkness consumed Ari as he lost consciousness...

When Roland heard the “warning” coming from Garnet he huffed, inhaling the smoke before casually blowing it away: “Go ahead you do that. Like hell if I care.”

Shortly after Garnet left, presumably to check in and get a guest pass or something Roland said half jokingly: “How about we just leave right now and leave that idiot here wandering?” The surprise was not that half of him was serious about the idea, but half of him didn’t actually want to leave Garnet behind. No matter how many times he think about it this group was bizarre. He hated pretty much every single one of them with the exception of Adrian, but he still show up in these seemingly pointless group gatherings. Every time he’d get annoyed so much that he need to punch a few guys afterwards, but then he’d find himself coming back. It’s as if there was a strange pull, attraction, which kept him around these people, and Roland couldn’t help but feeling irritated by it.

“But seriously though, anyone got any plans for what to do?” Roland asked again. After a moment he added: “We’ve got enough people to do a 3 on 3 basketball game. Don’t worry I’ll go easy on you losers. I’ll even pick Raven as handicap.”

Morgan chuckled at Nathan’s cold comments as they arrived at the hideout. He said rather cheerfully: “Well if you ever feel like praying to a dark lord, then by all means go ahead. Unlike Satan I always answer my calls.”

Morgan stood there smiling as he observed the other two’s reaction to the daggers, as expected Sylvio was beyond happy and was entering frantic territory, while Nathan was as calm as ever, which was something Morgan rather liked about him. So cold, emotionless about everything and that’s what he was counting on. When the world inevitably descend into darkness and chaos, he’d want someone by his side who can carry out a genocide without breaking a sweat.

“Already thinking of applications I see? Clever boy!” Morgan said as he cut a scar in the space beside him with his own black dagger, and stuck a hand inside. Instead of closing shortly like it did before the scar remained there. “As you can see the scar won’t close if it detects something that’s ‘in-between’. I can explain the magical mumble jumble behind it all but that’s redundant. I know I know it’s a bit disappointing since you can’t chop someone’s head off with it, but we can chop heads a million other ways!”

Morgan pulled the hand out and the scar closed immediately. He turned back to look at the two and said: “So now let’s get down to the real business. This room, and the daggers, are but appetizers for what’s to come!” With his arms opened Morgan slowly walked around the two, saying in a dramatic tone: “I mean a secret hideout is nice and all, but why do we need to hide anyway? Why can’t we go out into the world and rule it like a boss? Because there are things, lurking in the light, waiting to devour darkness if given the chance! As you know, ever since our ancestors climbed down the trees humanity has grown substantially throughout the years, learning, discovering, slowly conquering the nature which we once feared, cutting down forests to make farm lands, chopping off mountain tops to make golf courses, and all sorts of nice things. For humanity to grow, nature must be conquered. Similarly for darkness to grow, light, must be conquered. And today marks the day we the Colorless begin to expand OUR WORLD! And this, is the means to do it!”

Holding his hands forward what appeared to be a small clear crystal sphere the size of a baseball occurred out of thin air. Morgan held the crystal and said: “This, my friends, is a Dark Crystal. You may say: ‘Hey Morgan it doesn’t look dark to me’ Yes I know, because it’s empty. Once you plant this into someone it will enhance the fear, jealousy, anxiety, and any other lovely things inside, and transform him into a creature of destruction, spreading chaos all around. It would feed upon the dark energy it creates and grow stronger and stronger. Once we’ve collected enough energy, well, let’s just say things would get Really interesting.”

Pausing for a moment Morgan’s asked: “Sadly I only have one of these at the moment. So which one of you would do the honor of taking this baby out for a spin? Who would become the brave vanguard of our cause?”

Raven felt a bit of hope flutter in his chest when Dominic smiled and saluted him, wondering for a moment if he had been wrong and the bluette was actually willing to be his friend. He returned his gaze to his sneakers, but allowed himself to relax slightly, and a small, shy smile appeared on his face. Unfortunately, the teenager's body tensed right up again when Donovan reached over to ruffle his hair. He froze, his body going rigid and his pale cheeks turning a light pink color. Once the older man pulled away, he ducked his head in embarrassment, his black fingernails picking nervously at the hem of his dark purple sweatshirt. He wasn't used to being touched, especially not in such a fond way, and it made him feel self-conscious. He felt the need to respond to the green-haired college student, but was unsure of what to say; he wasn't used to talking to people, either. So he said nothing, simply glancing over at Donovan and nodding before quickly looking away again. Of course, at that moment Garnet appeared behind them, and if Raven hadn't heard the click of the door, he would have nearly jumped out of his skin. Instead he just hunched over a bit more, refusing to look at Garnet; looking at the handsome and confident redhead made him feel incredibly inferior. His blush, which had just started to fade, deepened when Garnet crouched down next to him and actually spoke to him. He responded with a shrug, still unable to meet the other's beautiful crimson eyes. And as if Raven needed to feel any worse about himself, Roland offered to have the purplette on his makeshift basketball team "as handicap." The small young man mentally sighed, already feeling exhaustion tugging at him from all of the social interaction he was experiencing. He wouldn't have even shown up if not for the strange pull he felt towards these people, which managed to compel him to hang out with them even though his anxiety urged him to go home and hide in his room.

Adrian rolled his eyes at Garnet's warning, taking another drag of his cigarette and flicking the ash off of the tip and onto the ground. Who the hell did this guy think he was? He wholeheartedly agreed with Roland's response to the redhead's words; he had been suspended several times before, and expelled twice from two other schools. He could not care less about getting in trouble. Hell, if he did get suspended, he would have more time to hang out with Roland. Of course, the threat of jail was a lot heavier than the threat of suspension of expulsion, but if he had to choose between prison and home, he'd choose prison. "I'm up for a game," he said, grinning devilishly at Roland. They would undoubtedly be on different teams to keep things "fair," and he was looking forward to kicking Roland's ass. They were both competitive and loved riling each other up; there were never any hard feelings left over, though. They were too close for that.

Dominic sighed, tilting his head back.

"That's true, it's a lot of trouble for visiting after hours," He agreed. The school seemed like a good middle ground to meet in theory, most of the six went to school here, Donovan went to school close, and Garnet had an easy ride- literally- getting here. But in practice, it might be causing more problems than anticipated. There were a lot more problems than anticipated in regards to everything about them, though. They were simultaneously naturally drawn together and didn't mesh well. Not that Dominic was ever deep enough in friend groups to really experience anything similar, he knew it should probably be different. But it wasn't. At least, in a way, it made things rather interesting.

Garnet, despite being as unfamiliar with the group as anyone else, had no qualms with 'playing dad' when the cigarettes came out. His vernacular was always interesting, and that along with his aristocratic air gave him a rather commanding presence, and he seemed aware of it. He agreed with Garnet that there were far too many downsides to smoking than it was worth, and was glad that someone had said something, though he felt he was taking the threats a tad too far.

"Garnet, the way you said it, it kind of sounds like blackmail," He chuckled, trying to soften the mood before anything potentially escalated, even though the two of them seemed pretty dismissive of it. "Even if it's for a good cause, that's not exactly legal."

"I could go for a game," Dominic agreed. While he didn't play often, he was fairly athletic and enjoyed team sports especially, oddly enough. "I'll be with you and Raven, and Donovan, Garnet, and Adrian will be the other team," He quickly assigned. He took issue with Roland picking on Raven like that. He always hated the idea of team sports having a 'handicap', it was just a code word for blaming everything on one person, he noticed when he was younger and not as coordinated and athletic as he was today. So he was quick to put himself on the same team to act as a bit of a buffer. Lucky, it did seem like it was a fair breaking into teams, provided his assumptions were right and Garnet was less experienced with sports than the others.

======

Sylvio didn't really understand how Nathan rarely reacted to anything. Even stuff as cool as this, hanging out with someone as fun as Morgan, he didn't seem to have any sort of response. He didn't understand it, but he kind of liked it. He was a calming presence, and it was sort of cool how he was so calm and unaffected all the time. And he wasn't mean about Sylvio himself being the very opposite when it came to his emotional expression, which was always a luxury he appreciated.

He laughed along with Morgan. "And that'd make us the cult leaders," He said to Nathan, grinning.

But he couldn't help but shudder at the gruesome possibility of losing a foot when walking through too slowly. But fortunately, Morgan proved that wasn't a possibility. And when Morgan continued, it seemed impossible for the three of them to be afraid of anything. They were literally going to conquer the world! They were going to take over the natural world, crush its unfeeling cruelty and disorderly and erratic temperament. And they'd keep the goodness nature could offer carefully controlled by trustworthy people. Only trustworthy people would be left, because when they took over the man-made world, they'd get rid of all the terrible people who could be just as unfeelingly cruel and ill-tempered. It was gruesome, and they were absolutely the villains, but sometimes it takes good people willing to do bad things for the greater good. Then there would be a better world where good people could always be good because there would be no need for more bad things to happen.

Sylvio was experimenting himself while listening to Morgan, thinking of the possibilities they'd bring, making small scars in the air, two 'n' shapes and an elongated 'u' to create a face. He also made one with a tongue sticking out. Each feature faded one by one, and Syvlio was quick to replace it with a new expression.

He stopped his endeavors when Morgan paused, and put his hands out before them, materializing a large crystal, clear as glass. A dark crystal… that would exacerbate people's darkest emotions, feeding on it, filling the crystal with it. Turn a person into a destructive force driven by their own negativity. He was nothing short of gleeful at the idea of making someone's negativity driven inward rather than out.

"Ha-hh!!" He had to stop himself from interrupting, because he needed to beat Nathan to it, he was bobbing on his feet again.

"I'll do it!" He exclaimed as soon as he could. "I'll do it! Please, please… I'll do it!"

When he door behind them opened, Donovan turned back with a smile. "Welcome back Garnet. Classes were as per usual." His eyes flashed with mischief when they landed on the tissue that Garnet used to open the door. He couldn't be that mysophobic. Slowly, he raised his hand that had just been on the floor and touched Garnet's arm. He couldn't wait to see the redhead's reaction, curious if it would be as extreme as he expected.

At Roland's suggestion for a basketball game, Donovan turned to him. "I don't think it'd be 3 on 3 if Garnet refuses. He doesn't like perspiring right?" Though a game didn't seem bad to him, he did feel the need to move around a little. And with this group of people he knew practically nothing about, Donovan didn't understand why it felt so natural hanging out with them, despite their personality clashes. He noticed Raven's distress and cast him a quick glance before looking away again.

"I'm cool with anything," he said again in response to Dominic deciding the teams. "But anyone got a ball?" Roland was the one who suggested the game but Donovan didn't see the high schooler carrying one. "Please don't tell me we're smuggling one out of the gym." Based on Roland's delinquency, that was most probably on his mind when he made the suggestion.

----------------------

It was almost odd how disappointed Nathan felt when Morgan said the scar couldn't sever an arm. He opened another one and tried sticking his arm in, then a foot, but it remained opened. Sighing, he let the scar close, barely concealing his disappointment before turning back to his comrades. But what Morgan said made sense, there were other ways to sever someone's head. Nathan was especially well versed with the methods used, considering his background.

Nathan listened silently as Morgan continued speaking. His eyes were glued to the gray floors as he processed what was being said. "Things lurking in the light.....waiting to devour darkness," he murmured thoughtfully. "Does that mean there are obstacles or people who would get in our way?" As he said this, Nathan felt an emotion that was so very foreign to him. An emotion that made him look forward to what was to come. Was this what Sylvio always felt? Nathan felt a small smile tugging at his lips, it felt odd to be smiling. If there were pests who would be getting in their way, things would get more interesting. Perhaps he could say that he was somewhat 'excited' if things became challenging. "Expanding our world huh.....I like the sound of that."

Nathan's light grey orbs fixated on the fist sized crystal as Morgan started talking again. He almost offered, but Sylvio beat him to it. Of course the hyperactive guy would jump in immediately, whatever he'll take the next one. "So how many of this does it take to collect enough of the energy that you speak of?" he inquired curiously, taking a seat in one of the black chairs while playing with the dagger. And as he contemplated everything they learned so far, a thought came to him suddenly and that emotion came back again.

"Morgan, with all that talk about expanding our world and whatnot, I'm certain you'd be a good speaker. How about being emcee for an event the Student Council is hosting?" A sly smile made its way to his face again. "It's going to be crowded, ideal for chaos and destruction don't you think?"

Garnet gave no signs of liking or disliking the idea of basketball just yet. Actually, he was more concerned with correcting Dominic. The red head chuckled before tutting, "Tsk, tsk... Dominic, you obviously need to freshen up on your vocabulary. Because the definition of blackmail is: 'the action, treated as a criminal offense, of demanding money from a person in return for not revealing compromising or injurious information about that person.' Therefore, I was not blackmailing him. Why would I do that? Besides, I think you were looking for 'law-abiding', as I was merely informing him of the law. After watching his reaction I can conclude that he doesn't consider school valuable enough to listen to me. It is evident that he is indeed a troublemaker."

And with that, Garnet looked rather proud of himself for figuring out that much. Although it was rather obvious for him to see that Roland was a delinquent. Now Garnet was curious as to 'Why' Roland was a delinquent, as studies often found that delinquent children often had problems at home, school, in their social life or etc. However he was smart enough to not ask outright. There was also the fact that he was not familiar enough with the other male to exactly know him. To be honest, he could be totally wrong about his delinquent theory. Roland could simply be a troublemaker by his own will... Nonetheless, that made no sense and so Garnet was willing to bet that he was right.

It would seem that everyone anticipated that he would not be good or be willing to play basketball with them. Garnet was just about to reply to the suggestion when he felt someone touch his arm... and that someone was Donovan... Garnet's right brow visibly twitched. Because he knew Donovan's hand had just been touching the ground not too long ago. "I sincerely hope that you have adequate cleanliness skills. Because, did you know that only 35 percent of men wash their hands? On top of that, Donovan, you have committed a serious crime and for that, you will pay. Fear not, I will not punish you, I will simply aid you."

Seemingly in one quick, smooth motion Garnet pulled out a small bottle of hand sanitizer from his shirt pocket. With one hand he opened the bottle, with the other hand, he grabbed onto Donovan's hand. Garnet applied about three drops to Donovan's hand. He even grabbed the Donovan's other hand- And Garnet cleaned both hands with his own hands. Thereby cleaning Donovan's hands and his own. Just to be sure, Garnet applied one more drop to his hands. There. He felt better after grabbing his napkin and 'dusting' off his arm. "There we are." He said with a satisfied smile and then pushed up his glasses again. "I could give you all sanitizer if you'd like. Actually, I would highly recommend it."

It was when Donovan mentioned that they might be smuggling a ball that Garnet put his foot down... That and felt that bullying was wrong. "I am rather shocked that you all think so poorly of me and my athletic abilities. I do believe I have the right to clarify a few things. One: Don't pick on Raven, I refuse to participate in a game where bullying is tolerated. By no means is he a 'handicap' of any sort and I feel that you should apologize. Two: I refuse to play basketball with you gentlemen if there is anything illegal tied to it. Three: On the contrary, Donovan, I do not mind perspiring through means of sport, game play or a few other cases..." He said, nearly suggestively.

"Please do not be fooled by my appearance and do not underestimate me... For I am brilliantly good at sports. While I struggle in form and perhaps technique... My strength, agility and amazing accuracy makes up for which I am not good at. I assure you, that once the ball is in my hands, you will have a difficult time getting it back. Defensively, I am told I am like a brick wall when someone has run into me and I can also pass the ball from long distance... From the other side of the court, I can shoot a basketball into the hoop with precise aim and I am not even that tall... I also hold records in track, both in middle school and college." With that Garnet stood up straight. "So by playing against me, you've already lost... And by no means am I trying to sound cocky."

To be honest, he would rather not play with the other men. His... talent was freakishly natural in a unfamiliar way that he couldn't describe... He didn't like to play sports because he was often too good at the game... He always got a home run in base ball. He could accidentally knock over another player who bumped into him. He always could outrun all players... The list went on... And honestly, it was one of the reasons that he avoided sports to begin with. He was too good... Of course people wanted to recruit him for all kinds of reasons... It was both fortunate and unfortunate at the same time. Fortunate, because it opened so many opportunities for him and people looked up to him. Unfortunate, because he didn't really have an interest in sports and people were often very jealous of his abilities...

Garnet was the kind of guy who simply wanted to be friends with everyone... Not to be used. He didn't mind being a role model... He just didn't want to be the source of everyone's envy or jealousy... Which is another reason why he usually just went home whenever he could... It was also the reason he participated in other events that didn't work unfairly with his strengths... Such as reading, making things, collecting things... He discovered that he was horrible at playing music, even though he adore many classics... "Can't we go out for ice cream instead? I'd would be willing to buy. Anything you want, my treat." He offered with a shrug. "What's your favorite ice cream place?" He asked, knowing that this could also serve as a 'get to know you' activity.

Most of the group seemed to be on-board with Roland's idea of having a basketball match, which was rather strange considering he hardly imagined the group agreeing on anything. He thought to himself: "Is everyone suddenly getting along now? That was weird." When the discussion reached the point of actually getting a ball Roland said: “I think the basketball team is practicing now. It shouldn’t be too hard to ask them for an extra ball. They have tons of them lying around anyway.”

As Garnet's speech about hygiene went on Roland rolled his eyes. How could someone end up being as annoying as him? He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw Garnet took out the bottle of hand sanitizer, and even went on to clean Donavan's hands, and concluded that all of his previous opinion of Garnet was wrong. The dude was even worse than he could ever imagine! When Garnet demanded a apology from him for saying Raven was handicap he simply turned away. Of course he had no intention apologizing to Raven, the one person in this group he hated more than Garnet. If there's one word that Roland would use to describe the shy, purple haired boy it would be "waste". A huge waste in so many different ways, and Roland simply couldn't stand that.

When Garnet voiced his objection to the basketball game idea Roland was almost relieved, as it reassured him that this group was as dysfunctional as he believed. But the reason for his objection left Roland dumb-founded for a moment. “By playing against you we’ve already lost? That’s a bold claim!” Roland huffed as he got close to Garnet and stared at him: “Why don’t we go and see how good are you exactly? If you’re indeed as good as you claim, then show it to me!”

Hearing Garnet bragging about his athletic ability certainly rubbed Roland the wrong way and pissed him off. But Roland didn’t think Garnet was bluffing, on the contrary, if there’s anything he’d learned about the rich brat was that he was always honest, annoyingly so, which meant that Garnet must indeed be as good as he claimed to be. But that only made Roland more eager to challenge him.

Roland stared into Garnet’s ruby eyes and said: “You know what, since you said you’re so fucking good, how about five of us against one of you? And if you still manage crush us then I’ll buy you that fucking ice-cream!”

Morgan paid close attention to the two’s reaction, and smiled when he heard Nathan’s mumble about obstacles. Yes, obstacles! Morgan didn’t bother to answer Nathan’s questions and left it to his imagination, but if what “He” told him was true, which was more than likely since everything else he said turned out to just as he said, then there will certainly be obstacles in this upcoming war. Oh yes, it’s a war alright! You can’t have a war if you don’t have an enemy, that would just be a massacre, though that can be quite fun as well.

As expected Sylvio jumped at the opportunity. With a bright smile Morgan put the crystal in Sylvio’s hands and gently held Sylvio’s fingers: “Very good! Sylvio. You shall be the one to lead the charge! I know you’ll make me proud!”

When he heard Nathan asking about the number of crystals they need, Morgan let go of Sylvio’s hand and shrugged: “To be honest I don’t know. Darkness isn’t really something you can measure with a ruler or weight. And besides, quality is as important as quantity! Like one hundred people’s screams on a roller coaster are no match for one dying cry of a murder victim.”

When Nathan mentioned holding some sort of event Morgan seemed excited: “An event? What is it? A festival or sorts? Oh I love festivals! All the colorful ribbons and balloons and lost crying children and worried parents! Of course I’d love to be the speaker, I mean who am I to refuse the invitation from the head of the student council? Ha ha it’d certainly be fun! But of course, if Sylvio does a excellent job and mess things up so bad, there may not be a need for your festival.” Morgan said as he turned his eyes to Sylvio and winked.

“In any case!” Morgan exclaimed as he hopped away from the two and continued: “We’re at the beginning of something that’s truly magnificent! I’m counting on you Sylvio to make a good start. Nathan help him out if necessary. Now off you go!"

Raven was obviously surprised to hear Dominic suggest that he be on his team, his amethyst eyes widening considerably before he returned his gaze back to his sneakers. While he was grateful that the blue-haired teen had spared him from having to deal with Roland's harassment during the basketball game, he was still nervous about the whole thing. He hadn't played a sport since he was in second grade and his father had signed him up for one of those youth soccer teams. That hadn't lasted long, as his shy nature not only made him a target for bullies, but also caused him to freeze up with nerves while on the field and miss every pass that was sent towards him; he would just stand there with his arms by his sides, hands clenched into fists, small body shaking as much bigger boys tumbled past him, screaming and shouting at each other. Eventually they stopped passing to him altogether. His father had pulled him from the team after the bullying escalated into something physical, and the coach did nothing to stop it. God, Raven wished that his father was still around. He had been the only one in his family to accept him for who he was...

Raven was so lost in thought that he didn't notice when Donovan glanced over at him. He was brought back to the present when he heard Garnet speak his name. He lifted his head, confused for a moment until he realized that the redhead was defending him. His cheeks flushed a light pink; not only was he embarrassed at the fact that someone he looked up to was acknowledging him, but he was also afraid of what Roland's reaction would be. He knew from experience that people like him hated to be told what to do - they especially hated to be told to apologize. Part of him was relieved that all Roland did was turn away, but another part of him felt disappointment. In himself, not Roland. He really must have been a horrible person if the blonde wouldn't even look at him.

While all of this was taking place, Adrian remained silent, leaning back against the fence with his phone in his hands, playing some random game with a blank expression on his face. He had quickly gotten bored with all of the talking; he wasn't the type of person to stand around doing nothing for extended periods of time, and he always had to be moving, or at least doing something to keep his hands busy. He only looked up when he heard Garnet's challenge. He shoved his phone into his back pocket and pushed off of the fence, making it rattle as he made his way over to Roland. He stood next to his fellow delinquent with both hands in his front pockets and smirked at Garnet, his amber eyes blazing. "You're on, rich boy." Like Roland, he was pissed at Garnet for bragging about his athletic skill and seemingly looking down on them, and he was just as eager to play against the redhead, wanting nothing more than to give the brat a run for his money.

Dominic rolled his eyes, scoffing at Garnet's correction with a laugh. "Alright, so maybe it's not the legal definition, got me there," He surrendered with a light-hearted shrug. "But it definitely meets the colloquial meaning," He crossed one leg over the other. "Plus, you're wasting your time, neither of them would be smoking if they cared about that sort of thing," He didn't mean for it to sound as judgmental as it might have come off. He didn't really see any problem with Roland's or Adrian's behavior for the most part- short of picking on certain, meeker present parties- and didn't really see the need to get involved in trying to veer it in another direction.

Dominic had to hold his tongue when Garnet turned around and referred to Donovan's touching him as a crime when moments before he was being so literal. He wrinkled his nose at the offer of sanitizer. He hated the smell and the feel of it. Anything with alcohol made him feel uneasy for some reason.

"I'm good, count me within the minority who washes their hands," He replied.

Though of all of Garnet's posturing, Dominic had to give him credit that he was consistent with it, and he had to appreciate him sticking up for Raven, even if he thought that drawing attention to it might make Raven more self conscious. Dominic was regretting agreeing to the game now, though, seeing Garnet's boasting and Roland's less-than-favorable reaction. It might not be worth it to even start. It was a shame, since it was the first real thing they had decided as a group to do together. But ice cream was a good alternative as any, much less competitive, too, didn't leave a lot of room for as much conflict.

================================

Sylvio's eyes lit up when Morgan put the clear, pure crystal, waiting corruption, into his hands, and kept his touch on his fingers. Anyone who heard Morgan's speech about darkness and taking over the world without context would probably not realize how gentle and sweet he was, wouldn't think he was capable of touching someone so warmly. It made Sylvio feel, even as he was volunteering to jump into the trenches, that he'd always be kept safe. He couldn't wait until he was able to fill the crystal with darkness for him.

"Yes, of course!" He beamed. He'd definitely make him proud. He'd prove he was indispensable in Morgan's plans. Sylvio held the crystal tightly in his hands, and looked at Nathan, sitting nonchalantly in his seat, when he suggested Morgan act as emcee, and he gasped.

"Yeah! Yeah! Morgan! You should!" He exclaimed, hopping a few times again. It'd be so awesome to see Morgan on stage in front of everyone, as charismatic as ever, leading the events and prompting chaos and destruction as easily as he could breathe. Morgan would look so cool doing it!

Sylvio felt a little torn when Morgan said that if Sylvio did a good job, then the festival wouldn't be necessary, because he really thought it'd be really neat to see Morgan do the festival, but he also planned to do as good a job as he possibly could. So now he had to aim for making the emcee thing unnecessary. Sylvio whipped his head around to look at Morgan again, smiling.

"Let's go, then!" He told him, and gave Morgan a confident smile. "I'm going to find someone this afternoon, I promise!"

Honestly, he already had a few people in mind, and hopefully one of them would still be on school grounds, since it wasn't all that much after school had let out. He was sure that it'd be enough to really get the ball rolling! He took the knife's hilt in hand and carefully carved a scar long enough to walk through, which lead him back to where Morgan had led them- which was fortunate, since Sylvio hadn't stopped to consider if that would actually happen or not. Now it was just a matter of finding a target...

Donovan had been eagerly expecting Garnet's horrified reaction, only to be disappointed that it hadn't been as extreme as he thought it'd be. He frowned at Garnet's words," Now that's just rude, I do wash my hands when the time calls for it. He paused when Garnet started to clean his hands with sanitizer, then continued with a barely concealed smirk. "Like before meals, after going to the toilet or 'relieving myself'." When Garnet let go of his hands, he replied," No thank you, I hate the smell of sanitizer," and wrinkled his nose after taking a sniff of his hands. He didn't quite believe it when Garnet said he was insanely good at sports. After all, why would a clean freak willingly get himself all sweaty? Though he did say that he didn't mind perspiration through means of sport. Deciding not to ponder unnecessarily on the matter, Donovan gave a nonchalant shrug and added on," ice cream sounds lovely, but it'll be even more lovely after a nice game."

Hearing the affirmation from Roland that they wouldn't be stealing a ball, Donovan nodded somewhat relieved that that wasn't the case. He decided to shut out Roland's loud voice as he issued his challenge to Garnet, only stopping for a moment to think that Garnet didn't need anyone to buy him anything. Instead turning to Raven with a smile," You don't have to mind what Roland says, he's just got a bug up his ass. Just try your best, we won't leave you out." It was almost odd how none of them had just walked out of the group with all the constant bickering. Finally, he stood up and dusted his pants, then looked up at Roland with his usual smile. "Calm down Roland, it won't be a basketball game with five against one," he reasoned, trying to ease the tension even by a little. "So can we just get going before it gets late? We won't even have the time for a game or ice cream if this goes on."

He then turned to Dominic who had been silent the whole time and pulled him up. "Alright, thank you for waiting Sir, the bickering is over, let's go play," then ushered everyone out of the area, leaving no room for protest.

=====================

Nathan nodded as he pondered upon Morgan's explanation. So basically, it didn't matter how many people they terrorized. What mattered was how they terrorized their victims, the amount of negative emotions they can bring out with their methods, the more, the better. Dozens of various scenarios flashed through Nathan's mind in a single second, of how extreme he should take his actions when it was his turn after Sylvio.

Nathan's eyes flashed when Morgan said they may not need to take action at the event if Sylvio did a good job. And Nathan had no qualms about that at all, he was confident that Sylvio would do a good job, seeing how he wouldn't want Morgan to be disappointed in him. "Whether or not Sylvio does a good job, the event will still happen," he said. "I was simply suggesting that Morgan would be a good speaker to take on the job," now he was just pretending he hadn't said anything before. "If you agree, then I'll just have you registered to be the speaker." The event wouldn't happen immediately after all. It may not even start by the time Sylvio was done, but Nathan could use it if Sylvio didn't need it. He had his own plans after all. As of now, he was just anticipating his turn to come.

Right before Sylvio stepped into the scar, Nathan called out to him. "Sylvio, try to stay hidden. We wouldn't want to be found if there really are......obstacles that aim to get in our way," he advised. Somehow, Morgan's speech from earlier, made him positive that there are indeed things or people that would get in their way. After all, the world is balanced. There isn't good without evil and vice versa. If they existed, then there would definitely be a force that is the complete opposite of them. Finally he added," contact me if you need my assistance."

When Sylvio had gone, Nathan turned back to Morgan, running a hand through his pure white hair, the expression on his face of mild distress. "I don't have a good feeling for some reason, but I'll trust Grey," he voiced softly. Then his cut open his own white scar and warped into the corner behind his residence.

Garnet raised a brow at Donovan's sly comment. He had a smooth come back to reply with but he held it in... Let's just say that dirty hands were way different than dirty minds... Onto the current topic, Garnet felt extremely relieved when Roland said that they would not be stealing the ball. It was evident, even in his posture he relaxed and a soft smiled formed on his lips. Yes, Roland was a rebel alright... However, he could still get along with him as not all of his ideas were that bad. Still though, it made Garnet feel sad that Roland did not like his schooling. There was nothing more valuable than knowledge... And it was certainly Roland's right to remain stupid and ignorant. In the end Garnet couldn't find a reason to hate the lad, and so, he was still willing to play a game...

The stakes were higher now, due to Roland's outburst. One on hand it was smart of him to play five against one... On the other hand... This would be extremely unfair for Garnet... He chuckled, that is if they had a formidable team. By the looks of it, this game would be completely dominated by him and him alone. He knew for a fact that the other boys wouldn't and couldn't work together... No, not in the sorry state they were in now... It would be quiet sad to watch them loose... Again, it wasn't that Garnet was cocky, it was just... He knew he was about to whip some asses at basketball.

And so, Garnet allowed himself to be lead to the court. As it was mentioned, it was very easy to get a hold of a basketball. Finally, they were on a court to themselves and the game could begin soon. Garnet's hands started to undo his tie as he asked, "Alright, so what's the score we are aiming for? Will there be rounds? If so, how many?" He slowly slipped off his tied, folding it, and shoved it into his pocket. Then he folded up the sleeves of his shirt. Once that was done, Garnet closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. And when he opened his eyes, there was a sudden fierceness about him- as if a switched turned on. He was totally serious right now. There was a presence... and aura about him that suddenly made him seem more... competitive or maybe even a little aggressive.

Cracking his knuckles first, Garnet proceeded to stretch his arms. "I will say that I will not be getting any joy out of beating the five of you... I strongly encourage you to work together... Because the only way you'll beat me is if you work together, and even then, you guys are not pro players..." Garnet chuckles, "And with how everything has gone thus far, I don't think victory is in your future." He pushed up his glasses, "So retreat now while you still have your dignity, it's your last opportunity before I kick all of your asses." His voice seemed darker, more serious than ever before. It was almost as if he was a different person. To be honest it was all just a front, Garnet was seeing if he could scare them into retreating for ice cream... On the other hand, he wanted to rile them up for a good old game of basketball. He saw all of them as his equal, and therefore wouldn't go easy on any of them. He hoped he could teach them a lesson... "What will it be gentlemen?"

Despite some objection and reluctance within the group, they ended up moving to the basketball field and got a ball, and as Roland suggested, or more accurately, demanded, began the match five on one. Quickly everyone began to get prepared for the game, as Roland was rolling his sleeves he answered to Garnet's questions: "Let's keep in quick and simple, two ten minute rounds. Whichever team gets the most point at the end wins!"

As Roland got to the middle of the filed and stared at his opponent, he noticed the air around the arrogant and brash Garnet changed, and when he opened his eyes the red haired man seemed to be a completely different person. Roland could almost feel a weight was suddenly dropped on his shoulders from the sheer pressure of standing in opposition to him. He looked into those ruby eyes and a sudden shiver came up along his spine. "So this is what the brat looks like when he's serious!" Roland thought to himself, and without noticing himself a grin came up to his face. After all if there's one thing Roland loved to do was to challenge the authority and fight against impossible odds. "Enough with your gibberish and let's start the game!" Roland exclaimed as he rushed head on towards Garnet trying to tie him up while the others could score, but he quickly proved to be far beyond what Roland could handle himself. He yelled: "Give me a hand Adrian!"

(P.S. Even though it was I who proposed it, but I have zero knowledge when it comes to basketball. You guys need to help me out here~~~)

After both Silvio and Nathan was gone, Morgan sat on his chair for a while simply silent. Then suddenly a "pulse" rippled across the very space of the room, and a smile came to Morgan's face.

"Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to talk with you again..." Morgan hummed joyfully against the darkness around him, and was met with another "pulse" much stronger than before. He chuckled slightly and said: "Ah sorry, I forgot you don't really enjoy music. What a pity. You really should expand your taste a bit more."

Another pulse hit Morgan, this time it was almost painful. But Morgan shrugged it off and said: "Alright, alright, enough with joking around. I've gave the boys their daggers, and the first dark crystal. Rejoice my friend, our war is finally starting!"

Morgan felt another pulse, and could tell the one he was talking to was "pleased", for lack of a better word, since Morgan doubt that "he" was capable of feeling such emotions. He then stood up from his seat and hopped onto the round table, opening his arms he circled around. He said: "Ah....I can't wait....I can't wait for the pain..the agony..the suffering...and all the joy they'll bring...Ah! Yes! What joy!" Morgan looked up and saw pure, utter darkness, only rivaled by the abyss residing in his own eyes.

[i don't really know anything about basketball either ^^']

A wave of apprehension washed over Raven as the rest of the group began making their way towards the basketball court. He had been hoping that they would abandon the idea of a game and simply go out for ice cream, as he did not want to be thrust into yet another competitive sports environment in which he would undoubtedly end up being the weakest link and then get teased because of it. After a moment of hesitation, the purplette stood and trailed after the other boys, hands in his pockets, eyes downcast, and teeth gnawing at his lower lip. He knew, somewhere inside, that he was just as capable as the average teenage boy in terms of athletics, but his anxiety made it impossible for him to actively participate.

His footsteps slowed as they reached the basketball court, and he cautiously observed what the others were doing before standing behind and slightly to the left of Dominic, towards the far end of the court, trying to stay as far away from the action as possible. He stood awkwardly with his hands still in his sweatshirt pockets, looking so out of place that it was almost painful.

Adrian, on the other hand, seemed right at home on the court, taking his place next to Roland and rolling his shoulders with a grin on his face. The sight of Garnet's battle-ready eyes sent a thrill up his spine, and he found himself nearly vibrating with energy, eager to get started. The ball went up, and Adrian shot forward, knocking it away from Garnet's outstretched hand and sending it towards Donovan. He turned to run up the court so he was open for a pass, but upon hearing Roland's demand for help, the orange-haired boy ran over to his friend, getting into a defensive stance as the two double-teamed the redhead.

Dominic gave Donovan and Raven a quick smile. While most of the group tended to bicker a lot, the three of them, he felt, did so the least. Particularly because Raven wasn't a confrontational type at all and both of them seemed concerned about his feelings. It was hard not to feel protective over him, being the smallest and quietest. The same things that made Raven a target for people like Roland, he guessed. He and Donovan didn't talk especially much, but they hadn't found reasons to squabble.

"I agree, I think it'd be preferable to have even teams." Dominic added. "We have an even number, after all, might as well take advantage."

He blew a short raspberry and playfully swatted at the green-haired man's hand after he pulled him up on his feet.

"Don't need to tell me twice," He assured him. He was genuinely looking forward to the game, and not just as some sort of power play like Garnet and Roland. He liked team sports and despite the tensions going in, he hoped it'd be good overall.

Dominic rolled his light jacket off his shoulders, setting it on the bench near the court, before removing his shirt and 'folding' it in a crumpled heap and set it down on top. He fished a hair tie from one of his pockets and pulled his thick long hair into a ponytail at the base of his neck. A few stubborn strands avoided capture and hung at either side of his face.

"What a sight… normally you only see sore winners after they win," Dominic teased Garnet, trying to lighten the mood. Evenif a game was five to one against a professional, which Garnet wasn't either as far as Dominic knew, wouldn't be an easy win for the single player. He believed that, as poorly as they seemed to get along, they could work as a team if they had similar goals. They were drawn to hang out despite fighting a lot, so there had to be, on some level, an amount comradery in them. Right? Plus, despite Garnet's posturing, he still thought it was better to have even teams.

As everyone gathered on the court, he put a hand on Raven's shoulder.

"Try to stay near the net, and watch everyone else," He whispered next to his ear. "So when you get the ball, you can set up who you think has the best chance of making it," A rare benefit to being short in basketball was that everyone would ignore him, so he'd be in a better position to observe the others, and if he was able to set up the right people, they'd have a pretty good chance- even better if Garnet really wanted to play five-to-one, which seemed to be the case.

Dominic saw Roland was more than ready to ambush Garnet, who was doing surprisingly well against Roland. He would have thought that Roland, being the one who suggested it, would be the more experienced player, but Garnet was the one who was handling himself. He yelled out for Adrian, so he was hanging back, trying to stay in their peripheral so they'd know he was open once they managed to get the ball. He was momentarily distracted by someone screaming rather obnoxiously elsewhere in the courtyard. He figured it was another freshman who got over-excited at being in a school with soda machines and was 'coked out' and getting over-excited with friends now that class was out.

========

"Yeah!" Syvlio grinned and nodded eagerly. "You'd be really good, Morgan!" As he stepped into the scar, he looked back when Morgan called to him. He waved his hand a little dismissively.

"I'll be careful," he assured him. He did take Morgan's warnings of obstacles seriously, but he figured since they were acting so quickly, they could quite literally beat any opposition to the punch, and by the time anyone tried to stop them, they'd be too far into their plans or world domination. So he was going to start immediately.

There were still a number of people around. Stay hidden, stay hidden… he'd have to find a target that was a bit separated from the others. Some people he had in mind, if they were still around, probably would be. He held the crystal so tightly it started to hurt, but he didn't notice. He was too excited. Everything was about to start, and it was going to be him who started it! He knew Morgan would be so pleased if he picked the right person.

And he found her. She was almost hiding, leaning against the wall behind an odd brick protrusion. Perfect. She looked up briefly when she saw Sylvio walking past, and didn't turn away fast enough to prevent Syvlio from noticing she was fighting off tears. Perfect. Normally he'd feel bad, and scurry off, embarrassed to find someone in a vulnerable state. But now, he was pleased. Despite how she tried to hide the fact she was about to cry, she let herself scream easily.

Donovan couldn't help but shake his head at the tension emanating from Garnet and Roland. It was just a game for god's sake. He didn't understand what the big deal was if whoever lost. The moment the ball was tossed, Donovan made no move to go for it. Instead, he stationed himself not too far away from the basket, ready at a moments notice to receive the ball and score. He noticed Raven standing at the corner of the court but decided himself to focus on the match instead.

He watched as Adrian hit the ball from Garnet's hands and the ball came sailing towards himself. Grabbing the ball, he started a fast dribble towards the basket. Within the next second, he was already jumping and ready to dunk the ball.

==================

Nathan stepped out of the scar cautiously, looking around the area to see if he had been seen. There was no one, which was the reason why he chose to come out here, people seldom walked by his home, seeing who actually owned this place. He walked along the perimeter of the estate till he reached the gate then opened the gate and went in. The door was opened by the housekeeper before he got to it. "Young master, you didn't call for a chauffeur?" Nathan shook his head silently and headed for the lift.

His room was the entire third floor itself, though there was much space that he didn't need. After changing out of his uniform, Nathan left the house again, ignoring the housekeeper's questions of where he was going. But she wouldn't worry if she knew Nathan was going to his father's office, there was more than enough protection there.

On the surface, Nathan's father owned a legal financial company and several other businesses under its name. But its illegal inner workings, only people in the same business knew of it. The authorities of course had its suspicions but couldn't do anything if they couldn't find any evidence. Nathan as well, was fully aware of what his family did, and he would be the one to continue its path once his father couldn't. And he had plans to use his family's power, to achieve what the colourless wanted.

Although it seemed like everyone was willing to work together- against Garnet, it was easy to tell that their 'teamwork' would be filled with holes. None of them were really dressed for the occasion, so to speak. They didn't have jersey's or even a uniform. It didn't really matter though. Considering Garnet was by his lonesome against a team of five other youth. While he did talk himself into this mess, he had indeed fairly warned them. Perhaps maybe he should have surprised them all and not said anything? No. That would have made the matters worse. That would have meant he would have picked his teammates knowing that he'd- they would win. And while Garnet truly wished that he had a team, he knew that he was too good- at least against these five other boys.

Interestingly enough, Garnet actually paid attention to the various height differences between the six of them. Poor Raven was near midget height being around the five foot range... While Roland was probably over a whole foot taller. Of course Garnet didn't know how tall the other males were because he never asked... But he was somewhere in the middle. Surprisingly, despite his confident stature he wasn't the tallest one here. He was pretty sure it was Roland or maybe even Donovan. Now that he though about it, it never occurred to Garnet to make sure. Then again he found height to be irrelevant... Especially when he could play against a tall pro player and still beat them.

So here he was, watching each player as they made their way onto the court. Once everyone was in 'position' Adrian and Garnet jumped for the ball- the ball fell into Donovan's hands. If Garnet had really wanted the ball, it wouldn't have been in the other males hands right now. It was more like he wanted to at least give the other guys a fighting chance- No, it was more like he wanted to see what they could and would do. Would they be a decent team? Or would they be the predictable one that Garnet thought they would be... Guess he would find out.

At first Garnet played 'nice' and allowed them to make a basket. He was trying, but obviously not at full capacity. However, once the first basket was made against him... Garnet got the ball... Which meant they had to stop him. Almost as soon as he got the ball- three of them were on him and it didn't surprise him. Actually, it was slightly amusing to Garnet because as he watched the other guys gang up on him, he started to notice the gaps in their performance. Roland especially seemed to have tunnel vision and his aim was clearly on the ball. Poor sport. Garnet made sure to keep the ball moving so he wouldn't be cornered. He was good at using fake-outs and dodging their defenses. Sometimes he could even make them run into each other. And if someone wasn't paying attention or looked away for too long, Garnet could easily slip on by. There was even a couple times when Garnet bounced the ball right between someone's legs- collecting the ball on the other side.

Garnet was impressively able to keep up with the other guys. However, Garnet wasn't even that great at the sport. His posture wasn't perfect and neither was his dribbling skills. It was his agility in both movement and eyesight along with his brute strength and precision that allowed him to get ahead- and stay ahead. Garnet's weakness during that game was when the boys started to pass the ball far distances. He could only run so fast- on the other hand, if the pass lacked speed or effort- or in general was a bad pass, it gave Garnet ample time to pick it up and score another point. If he was 'close' enough to the hoop whenever he caught a ball, he would shoot it up and score every time. Garnet would purposely never shoot the ball unless he was closer than half court. Otherwise he would shoot hoops for days just standing in one spot.

It wasn't long before he could hear the opposing team panting from tiredness or lack of air... To think that he wasn't even playing at his top game. He felt like he hadn't even broken a sweat yet... It would have been unsportsmanlike to beat them so badly. Garnet played as fair as he possibly could... All while making the other men work to get the ball away from him. He wouldn't let them win but he wouldn't let them loose horribly either... Which is why when he was over twenty points higher than the opposing team, he started to work the ball more by dribbling it around the court. He even allowed himself to get cornered a few times. Still, Garnet easily maintained the twenty point plus distance... And it was hard for him not to score a point. Garnet stopped counting once there was an obvious 'no redemption' for the other team. There was no possible way for them to win... Plus, he kind of felt bad for tuckering everyone out, even if it is said otherwise.
